Show Nut: Won't go into the little annoyances when I checked in to the room as the desk clerk did her best to make it right. However, there were people partying in the hall near my door at 3:00 am. Called the front desk and asked if they had Security. Nope no security. It continued until 4:30 am when it was time for me to leave for the airport as I had an early flight. Since I was traveling alone I was leary of heading out by myself. Finally had to take a chance since I had to get to the airport and when I left the room there were several girls hanging around in the hall and on the staircase. I left the building and stopped at the front desk on my way out. Talked to the desk clerk and told her my concerns. I told her if I had been trying to sleep this conversation may not have gone so well.Room was clean and was close to the airport.

Dan Sargis: We are regular customers with Best Western. They are our "go to" whenever we travel.However, we had an experience at this inn that was not ideal. I have never given a negative review.for a hotel stay ... ever.My son stayed at this in the night before flying home from Hope college for spring break. We paid extra for park and fly so that he would not have to travel the morning of his flight. My son's flight was scheduled to leave at 7:00 am. We scheduled an airport shuttle for 6:00 am, comfirming with the front desk the night before.My son was in the lobby by 5:45 am. No shuttle came. Also there was nobody at the front desk to inquire about the shuttle. He finally gave up and drove to the airport at about 6:20.He had to park in airport long term parking. It cost us an extra $120 to do this for one week.He barely made his flight and lost the priority seating we had paid for.I contacted the manager at the inn (his name is Ken) and asked for a refund or a future free night's stay to make up for the cost of the room plus parking. Ken spoke with his manager about this and we were given a half refund of the room. I phoned back to ask for the full refund. He then asked his manager again and I was given 2000 reward points which are a $20 value. It seemed that there was nothing else that he could do so we are still out money that we should NOT be on the hook for.I am now taking this up with corporate Best Western customer service to see what they can do to make this right.Bottom Line. Do NOT use this inn for Park and Fly.Rooms: Bed was comfortable. Room was clean.

Samantha Book: Stayed there for a weekend with the kids during the winter to do some swimming. Only complaint was their website says they have a hot tub but when we arrived to the pool they had it covered up so there is no longer a hot tub.Nearby activities: Lots of good sit down and takeout restaurants near by.Food & drinks: The continental breakfast each morning was a little cold at times but tasted good none the less.

Van: They removed the hot tub. Still shows on there website and in the pictures. Front desk says “yeah maybe sometime they will remove it from the website”. The hot tub was the main reason we stayed at this hotel.Edit: After finishing our stay I'll add a couple more items...The "hot" breakfast was cold, the ceramic floor in our room was bowed up and sounded like it was going to crack when we walked on it, the counter top in the bathroom was detached and just resting on the toilet. Thanks for responding to my original review but sorry I have been coming to this hotel for 20 years and I won't be back. Waste of my money. DON'T STAY HERE.
Caleb Lowe: I have stayed at a lot of hotels as of recently, but as a friend of mine pointed out when entering the room, the service at this hotel was both professional, personal, hospital, and generally caring. These people actually did care not just gave the impression. I would recommend Best Western 28th Street airport to anyone looking for a reasonably price rule, and very good service. 4 and 1/2 stars.
Kevin Johnson: I didn't choose this hotel. My flight was delayed until morning. The first impression was not good. There was a strong marijuana smell in the lobby. So much so I got a headache. Other than that the one who checked me in did a good job. I happen to work in hospitality. While their system works. I know the struggles of using our dated systems. The front desk shouldn't have to manually make room keys. It should be done through the Property management system(PMSL. The credit card system isn't PCI compliant. They shouldn't be inputting credit card numbers by typing the numbers into the PMS system. As far as the hotel itself. It is what I expect from a Best Western. One star drop is for the lobby smells. Besides that you get what is expected.

Amy Babcock: I don't know what it is with the hotel scene in Grand Rapids, but it's literally feast or famine out here. There doesn't seem to be a middle ground on hotels. Being that this is at least my third over night trip here in recent years, I wanted a hotel that was close to everything and in decent shape. I happened to stumble upon this location and decided to give it a shot. Let me tell you, this place is fabulous. (and not all hotels out here in Grand Rapids are. So, that's saying a lot.)I booked online and checking in, the place is fabulous. Clean property with everything in good working order. I didn't have to wait for my room to be ready, which has happened in years past from other hotels in the area. So, that's a bonus right there.This place has everything you could imagine. Indoor pool with a hot tub, spin classes, beautiful lobby with complimentary breakfast, you name it. My room was huge, clean and had all the amenities I could ever need. Staff here's on the younger side but the hotels very well run, which impressed me.Prices are on a bit of the higher side, but you really do get what you pay for. Updated rooms, clean property, free wifi, you name it. Plus, they have full kitchens here, and the rooms are spacious. I would stay here again in a heartbeat, as it was a fabulous experience.Rooms: Rooms are modern with lots of good amenities.

Bre: We stayed for visit family and friends for the weekend. We booked through Expedia but our reservation did not show. The women at the front desk on January 20th was very helpful in getting it sorted out. She called Expedia and they hung up on her a couple time. And all while she assisting others. 10/10 excellent service.Also the room is very clean, smelled good, food selection and coffee were delicious. It’s also very conveniently located.
Colby Colarossi: This hotel is TERRIBLE! The breakfast is OLD, the hotel is unsanitary, the pictures tell a lie. The pool is dirty and unsafe. I cannot believe this is a part of the Hilton family. My daughter got sick off the breakfast, 24 hours of puking, it was so bad. They had milk boxes in the fridge which were expired. The staff was nice, but the owner who is also known as the manager was completely rude. Our room lost power - just our room, and she would not move us - we were told it would be on by 8pm (8 hours without power) and it went over 30 hours. I will find every place to review this hotel franchise terribly; I am appalled.

Haley Hilliard: Booked for the Morgan Wallen concert. As the concert was cancelled and moved to another date, I tried moving my reservation to the next date and it wouldn't allow, so I had to cancel 48+ hrs in advance. Got charged for the room at the time of cancellation. Called and spoke with a nice gentleman at the desk who told me he would get it taken care of. Waited a few days and the charges were not reversed. Called again and spoke with the manager who informed me that I would have had to cancel over 2 weeks in advance and that this isn't something she can do anything about. Without being able to move the date and with the show being cancelled I had no choice but to cancel. Accruing the fee for the entire room/stay for a cancellation is obscene. Do not recommend booking unless you know 100% that there is no way a cancellation will happen. The manager was rude and not helpful.

L: First of all the front desk staff is amazing. Madison the supervisor was absolutely lovely, she made the whole process a breeze and was so kind and helpful. This hotel is very nice for the price, decent sized rooms and a lot of amenities. I would highly recommend this hotel if you plan to visit Chicago. The AC is right in the heart of it all, walking distance to everything run to do!

Ed Boske: The room was very nice but your bathroom was a disaster. First of all the sink was plugged up would not drain it took forever. Surely this would have been reported by other guests long ago. And either ignored or don't do anything about it apparently. I took a shower and when I get out of the shower there was water everywhere have a mop it up I didn't dare want to stand on it there was so much I had to wring out the towel twice there was that much water. Surely this must have been reported also. Enough said. The room was nice I have no complaints about that part of the room.Rooms: As I mentioned in my review the room was quite nice. The location was smack in the middle of GR. 2 employees that really stood out to us were Anthony at the front desk and Jose at the bar. They both truly elevated our experience to the next level with their high service of hospitality. We found ourselves bellying up to the bar in the lounge every night. We will be back!

Alexis Xoxo: Update: we stayed here for the 2nd year in a row for my birthday. The room we were in was extra large and very cozy! The noise level was much better this time around but we did have a room that wasn't next to anyone else. The view from out room was outstanding and over looked Rosa Park Circle. The parking situation was absolutely horrid. We had to park a few blocks away in a parking garage for another hotel and carry all our belongings. We could have dropped them off while we checked in but it was so busy by the front door and not much room for cars to park for check-in and check out. So out of respect we checked in and immediately moved our vehicle for the next few people coming in. Old review: I wanted to give this hotel 5 stars but due to the paper thin walls it gets a 4. But don't let that scare you away. The lobby is LOUD upon walking in. However, there is a bar right smack dab in the middle of it. It was hard to hear the front desk person over all the noise while checking in. The room was absolutely stunning. Very aesthetic and pleasing to the eyes. There was a refrigerator in the room but no microwave which was a tiny downfall. The bed and pillows were super comfortable. We were woken up about every 2 hours in the middle of the night by non stop yelling in the hallways and some of the rooms. I feel like if it was quiet we would have gotten a really good night's sleep. Our room faced the road and you could hear quite a bit of traffic driving by during the day. The room was clean except for under the bed. I only looked under the bed because I dropped something and it slid under there. The parking set up is awful. It was $32 to park in a tiny, uncovered parking lot next to the hotel, when you could pay $20 to park for the entire night in a covered parking garage on the other side of the hotel. The hotel and rooms are beautiful inside all in all. But there are just a few minor details that could be made to make it 5 stars.
