Global Trust Solutions: Health hazard- roaches in the open on every surface- toilet, tub, counters, floors have filth caked on & every corner. Who knows what's on the chairs and beds. Comforters clearly not laundered. Drains all clog immediately. The health department could collect deadly bacteria here and have this place shut-down in 5 minutes. I also got a stomach bug & flu while staying here. The parking lot is beyond dangerous at night. Their rates aren't even competitive to other hotels, don't risk getting car broken into or sick here. Also TV is on shared internet connection and too slow to even play regular TV shows. Owners could easily hire people who clean in between guests and security. Shameful to run a business this way.Walkability: I would never leave the room at night, dangerous place due to crime, drugs, etc at hotel.

Hope Adshead: They gave me a dirty room. I was too tired to notice till morning. When I went to tell the front desk, the man at the desk actually yelled at me and got hostile. Don’t expect a cup of coffee in the morning either. $95 for a filthy room and abusive desk staff.

Jarrod: I lived here for almost 3 months & ended up here due to a previous toxic living situation. $350 a week for a double bed out the door isn't bad at all... anywhere else will charge $400+ and you'll encounter roaches and bugs at those other motels. Forget all these negative reviews, this place is somewhere to call home and comfortable living for the time being. Thank you to the awesome mantieence man Smitty for installing a brand new AC and putting a new fridge THE SAME DAY in my place when I moved in and both quit working. Take the good with the bad in life, the staff here are amazing and kind hearted in my opinion.

Jon Howell: As the impending cloud of the AI workforce rears its ugly head in the sky, one wonders how many more human moments will be left in the service industry. If you like me you are combing the badlands for just a moment of true human connection. Well I found one at the Grand Rappids Wyndham. Lupe at the front desk puts travel woes and apprehensions at bay and was able to accommodate my ever changing itinerary. She helped me add extra days to my stay all while battling the computer into a submissive state. Even though I initially booked my stay through priceline she was able to jump through a matrix of policies and code to help me extend my trip. Even her manager wit and will was depleted, but yet with only 2 weeks of training she was able to find a resolution within the bowels of the hotel Point of Sale System. These are the moments I stay alive for. When an average employee would just say there is nothing I can do and simply rehearse some corporate Bureaucracy it's nice to know there is still people willing to care about you, and provide exemplamary services. Thanks Lupe my guest and I will not soon forget your greatness.

Bagels, toast, cereal, juice were free, but if you wanted breakfast sandwich with eggs, sausage, you had to pay. It was good though.Nearby activities: Everything close. Toni Leviere: This place is absolutely awful. Room was filthy, bathroom light didn't work or when it did was very dim. The ceiling has large dirty looking hole repairs, the shower curtain was falling off the wall, the walls were thin and the clientele here was questionable and our neighbors were loud, along with noisy people in the hall most of the night. We asked for a different room and the second room was the same except dirty smeared mirrors. I should have read the reviews, the pictures are deceiving.

Gary Place: This is by far the worst hotel I have ever stayed it. Room was dirty with filth. Burn stains over everything. TV did not work in both rooms we stayed in. Telephone did not work and was missing pieces. There were many people loitering in lobby and parking lot. We had to leave early due to severe weather and our event being canceled. Was told at checkout that a refund for the additional day would be credited to card used. No refund was ever given. Called three times to General manager and was told I would receive a callback and never did. I used to frequent Wyndham hotels but now they have been eliminated from my preferred hotels. I understand that they are privately owned but any hotel chain that would attach their name to this kind of establishment should be boycotted. Lynnette Niemann: So I read the reviews before going there. I was desperate since the super 8 kept giving me dirty rooms. Finally, they canceled my reservation free of charge at super 8, and I was left with nowhere to stay. I called this place and he gave me a good rate so I went. The room was clean. Sheets were clean. Ripped and had a black magic marker stain, but clean. I didn't find any bed bugs. I haven't found any bites. It's pretty basic. I always come with my own toiletries, but they didn't have kleenex. Mini fridge and microwave were clean.The lady at the front desk was nice and polite. Made conversation with me. Told me were to park and enter. The outside looks awful. Cigarette butts covered the ground and sidewalks. I smelled pot outside, but never inside. It was nice and quiet for me. I never saw a roach like others claimed. The only weird thing was that the heat was on when I entered the room. Otherwise, I can't complain. I just needed a bathroom and a bed for a cheap price, and that's what I got. I would stay again. I like how it's inside and you don't enter the room from the outdoors.
Monica: If I could give negative stars I would’ve. The phone doesn’t have a cord you cannot dial out or front desk. They charge you a $25 refundable charge for any smoking. I look up there is no smoke detector. It looks like someone yanked it out the ceiling. Dust stuff so no cleaning, and ventilation system is filthy in room also. If you have breathing issues DO NOT come here. It’s dust even on the remote. No roll of toilet paper just the half roll on holder. Flat pillows, someone else’s hair on sheets…smh. They can do a lot better.

Casper Sweeney: Honestly, I’m never one to write a review, but this place is by far the least safe and rudest hotel I’ve ever been to. A room was needed for my partner and she witnessed loud and aggressive domestic violence in the room next door, which the staff ignored and continues to deny. A good samaritain even went to try and help the poor woman who was being loudly abused. This event was very triggering for my partner and I hastily moved her out of this hotel within hours of checking in. Do not stay here if you value your safety! The staff will ignore any and all safety and health concerns. The location is convenient, but someone needs to do something about the sheer lack of compassion and empathy amongst staff.Safety: Awful and not even a consideration.

Christopher Smith: ROACHES! Please do not book at this hotel/motel. I should’ve read the reviews before booking my stay here, but I was very ignorant. Not only are there roaches in the rooms, AND THE STAFF/OWNER KNOW ABOUT IT, they will NOT offer you a refund. Instead they say “there’s no roaches. None of our rooms have bugs” when I literally have the pictures on my phone. They offer to move me and my boyfriend to another room to which we accepted so we could have a semi-clean room to wait in while we booked our next hotel because we were not staying a single night in this place. The beds, filthy. Stains look like either someone peed the bed or sweat off 3 years worth of dirt. To cover it up? They just put a second sheet over the bed. Which was also stained and dirty. The towels… stained and have gross hair on them. The bathroom?? Gross and looks like there’s literal fungus/mold growing. But don’t worry guys… they have brand new furniture/cabinetry from Walmart that they built for the rooms. If you ever walk into a room and see the AC is on, be afraid. I’m assuming that’s how they keep the roaches hidden until it gets warm and they swarm. Just for them to say “we don’t have roaches.” Absolutely horrid. Will NEVER return. I can’t believe a staff that would argue with their customer over the fact that there’s ROACHES in their room and they want a refund. But beware, they won’t refund you unless you check out within 15 minutes of check in lol

However the walls are very dirty, the fridge had mold in it, the walls in the bathroom had black mold. The jacuzzi was dirty from stains. The floor was slippery like it was oil on it. They also have good amenities like Tv,Microwave, and fenced in area for the pets. The customer service is great! I believe they truly are trying. The bed was pretty comfortable not springy like other matters. The door was hard to open and close yet we managed. There was a pull out bed it had stains and cigarette hole burns. Which made the stay spaciest for 3. One star because I felt completely un-At-Home. Yet the two I was staying with didn’t seem to mind any of it.

Chrystal Holdren: The hallways really smelled. They actually smell of smoke really bad when you’re not supposed to smoke there so either people are still smoking in the rooms or it was so bad it just embedded in the walls and everything for many many years ago! I really didn’t go in the bathroom much because the shower had a lot of hair in it which i finally took down with toilet paper but it grossed me out! The walls were dingy, and the counters look like they hadn’t been cleaned! In the bedrom, the walls were dingy in the tops of the dressers look like they hadn’t been cleaned off! I told the guy downstairs at the desk, but he seemed to kind of just shrug it off and say sorry! Normally I’m one to go further with it at that point, but I’m going through a divorce and there’s been so much arguing lately. This was supposed to be a time for me to get away from that so I just went back upstairs and fell asleep! I also got what I thought was a Riverview room not worth the extra $15/$20 to be honest! Now the location is great it’s easy to find right off the highway so I will say they got that going for them!

I’ve tried for 2 weeks straight leaving voicemails, emails, and messages with the front desk to get a quote and still no response. I spoke with the manager last week and he said it’s probably because I never filled out the group reservation form and that’s why she never got back to me because she didn’t know what I was looking for. So he sends the link for that and still no response. I will not waste my time trying to book her ever again.

Gabi Peters: The room was beautiful and clean. Check in was easy, as was check out - right from your phone. Very secure building right in the middle of downtown. You also couldn’t hear all the hustle and bustle of downtown while trying to sleep. The only issue was the AC wasn’t working and our room stayed very very hot and our only means of contact was an “emergent text line.” The TV remote wasn’t able to be used from the bed either (minor inconvenience). Having to pay premium to park in the parking structure or on the street was also another minor inconvenience.Nearby activities: Bars, food, etc. very closeSafety: Secure key code login to get into the hotel and your room. Cameras throughout the space.Walkability: Easy to walk or scooter pretty much everywhere.
Caleb Campbell: It is such a great find in the heart of Grand Rapids. This was the perfect pick for our trip to see a concert. Just a block from Van Andel arena and the Intersection, which is a nightclub with lots of artists. The room was clean, and the high-end finishes were elite. No problems checking in virtually in order to get the code to get in the building and then to the room. I will be back.

The room was beautiful & the check-in/check-out process was easy. We also felt safe in the room! It was an extremely comfortable space that had a good vibe while also being in the perfect location- with everything in walking distance. The bathroom was nice and clean; the blackout shades and comfortable bed were great too. It gave a city and luxury feel. We had amazing food from Brick & Porter, only a couple of doors down from the hotel, and also walked to the Grand River, only 10 minutes from the hotel. We enjoyed our night & the room was a big part of that! We had zero complaints and will 100% book here again!!

model T man: We got a non smoking room but it reeked of cigarettes. There was trash and ash on the floor, dirt literally everywhere, it looked like the room hadn't been cleaned in weeks. Sheets and carpet were stained, the lamp shade was broken, the paint was peeling. I could go on. The poor room needs some love. Not worth a fraction of the 100 bucks we paid. At least they had good coffee in the lobby, the AC worked well, and plenty of hot water in the jeinky outdated shower. It's also right next to a McDonald's.

Sophia Virgin: We had booked this hotel days in advance, for a 2 night stay. However, upon arrival at nearly 10pm at night (after driving from the far side of toronto) the employee informed me that they were doing renovations and didn't have a room available. This conclusion took him more than 10 minutes to determine, whilst he starred at the screen and said nothing to me. He did not process a refund and requested that I call customer service and have them process it. This left us with trying to process a refund and find a new hotel at 10:45 at night. Next time, a cancellation email in advance would be recommended. We will not be returning.
