Lauren P: I wish I could give 10 stars! I can see why this place has a rare 5 star rating. To start, my husband made an appointment for me as a start to our "date day/night". He did his homework and saw so many good things about Jason and that the pricing was good here. I arrived with a lot of anxiety (I randomly get horrible anxiety) and mentioned it to Jason because I wasn't sure I even wanted to be there at that point. He was very understanding and he made sure to know what I like and don't like in regards to locations of body or anything before starting.The appointment went AMAZING and he made me so comfortable. You can tell he is a genuinely good person and wants you to enjoy your appointment. My shoulders and neck are always sore (due to stress and anxiety) and he knew exactly what to do to make it feel better and applied the perfect amount of pressure. You can tell he knows what he is doing. The atmosphere is very peaceful and inviting too. I am so glad my husband found this place. I would recommend this place to anyone! Brea DeCamp: I have gone to quite a few massage therapists in Grand Rapids. My first visit at GR Massage Life was when I thought I had a really bad knot in my shoulder. Elliot worked on my back and let me know that my shoulder blade was actually out of place. I started going to the chiropractor who confirmed this issue, and I was able to get adjustments to help fix it. I have continued to see Elliot, while also going to another location out of convenience, and I have to say that Elliot is superior! She pinpoints the areas without my guidance, and she doesn’t just do a “choreographed” massage. It is specialized to the areas of concern, and the methods feel unique and effective.I’ve done my research around town and won’t be going anywhere else anymore :)

Amy Rossetti: I was in Grand Rapids for the weekend with my husband and got an appointment for a 55 minute relaxation massage with Abby Schnell. I was not disappointed. Everything about the experience was wonderful from the moment we walked in until the moment we left. Abby did such a wonderful job that I had to force myself not to fall asleep. She used the perfect amount of pressure. I actually felt drunk (or high?) as I was walking out to the car afterwards. It was such a great experience.I highly recommend Urban Massage and especially Abby. If I'm ever in Grand Rapids again, I will definitely re-book.

I thought that would really nice how at the end of the session, as I'm leaving, "he gave me a tip". And my health savings account covered the session. Way cheaper than outpatient counseling and someone else gets to do the work ;-). Completely worth it!

Frank Cuthbertson: Went here for a post Thanksgiving massage hoping to relieve some tension and relax a bit. Instead, I received one of the most thorough and professional massages in recent memory. Stephanie took the time to discover what my major pain points were and THEN SHE ACTUALLY FOCUSED ON THEM!! On top of that Stephanie has essentially mastered the goldilocks level of pressure when working through tough spots. All this to say there are probably other massage therapists in Grand Rapids but do yourself a favor and just book with Steph.

Otherwise find something else to do.

Jane Doe: I wanted to book a massage with Curtisy. I went to her website to check out the services and prices. She claims she's "professional, and wants to help people." I went to her blog, and read her latest entry. While I try to respect other people's opinions, it's just really unprofessional to write about how you get stupid questions about "do you provide happy endings?" And ramble on. I do agree that the question is gross, please don't write about it on your business website. There's a section about "I can't believe I'm saying this..." A little paragraph about how her clients need to wash their privates, "and there's a damn bathroom in her office." NOT PROFESSIONAL. I understand, as a massage therapist, you are intimate, but please don't be "mean" about it. You can just write, "please be courtesy to me and my equipment, and take a shower before hand." I'm sure Cutisy is great, but until her website gets a makeover, I can't support this business.

Pam: What an absolutely wonderful experience. I wanted to surprise my boyfriend Bob for his birthday with an IN HOME COUPLES MASSAGE. It was the most divine and relaxing time. We had the priviliage of meeting Ursula and Eric who both have magical hands and fingers. Very professional but still were a lot of fun. They both are blessed with a talent to make someone’s body feel free of stress and tension. It was great that we did not have to drive anywhere after our session was completed, we could continue to relax and enjoy our date night in the privacy of our home. Grace Nogueras: My husband and I went for our second wedding anniversary. We chose the couples massage. It was delightful! Autumn and Eric were amazing and very friendly, relaxing therapists. I'd definitely recommend upgrading to a deeper tissue massage if in need of working out some tense muscles and knots.It was reasonably priced for the treatment we received. It was $180/50 minutes. If we'd gotten the deep tissue upgrade it would've been a $10 up charge per person.Overall, very nice atmosphere and experience! Will definitely recommend and revisit in the future.

Kayla Herold: Called to reserve a date and time for myself and partner to get a massage. My initial appointment was on September 3rd. About a month in advance, I found out that we had a conflict so I called to let them know we needed to reschedule to September 10th. I asked to reschedule the September 3rd appointment, but they could not find the appointment and said they would take care of it. My partner and I then went to get a massage on September 10th, paid, and tipped generously. After reviewing personal bank statements, I noticed they charged me for the September 3rd appointment. After a week of playing phone tag and leaving multiple voicemails, they refused to give a refund for their mistake. It's very disappointing.

Flawlessly Finished: Was good massage but had a complaint about my tip. They said I Should have tipped at least 20% awkward. Only had small amount of cash so what to do. They wouldn't let me put tip on card.....

chris jacobs: Amazing massage, and thankfully I was able to get in last minute. They worked so many knots out of my back, I went home and just passed out. That was the first time in almost 2 weeks that my shoulder isn't hurting. I have a nasty pinched nerve that's affecting my shoulder and arm bad, and it actually feels comfortable right now. I will definitely come back here again. I see a lot of comments about being painful or being pressured to tip more. I didn't experience any of that. It was deep tissue and can't say it didn't hurt at times, but the relief is amazing, and the entire massage overall was very relaxing. The warm towel at the end about put me to sleep lol. No pressure for tip, only asked if I wanted to leave one on the card. I really can't say enough good things about this place. It's the second massage I've ever had, and the first time here. Definitely won't be last.

I told them no tip and the lady asked why then went on to ask was her massage not good. She was on her phone off and on the whole time and talking and laughing with her partner who was massaging a friend of mine. Not Peaceful At all. She told me Not to come back again and to take my business elsewhere since I didn't tip. I was APPALLED. I WILL NOT BE RETURNING

We went in for a couples massage and we were impressed with the comfortable set up and we got to be in the same room. The massages were actually very good for being a walk in. The only thing that didn't sit right with me was the pressure financially. The lady working asked my boyfriend if he was leaving a tip on the card, after he told her an amount she asked if he could go higher two different times! then while running his card pointed out a 4 percent convenience charge for using the card as well. Id reccomend bringing cash if your visiting this place. Still wouldn't hesitate to visit again 🤷♀️

Doreen DeFlavis: I really don't like to write bad reviews but this massage was odd and not good overall. Two stars for the customer service being very good: ladies were super nice and responsive and the place was clean and quiet. I got a 30 min foot and 60 min body massage. The foot massage was ok. Body massage was bad. First, the tables have a head hole in the table rather than an actual head rest, which is very uncomfortable for a full body massage. The table itself was pretty comfy as it had a soft padding. She didn't adjust the leg bolster at all so it was in strange position both face up and down. Was using her phone during certain points of the massage which caused attention to not be paid to where she was putting her hands/arms. Several times she ran her elbow over my spine..OUCH! I did ask for less pressure (mostly bc of the elbow on spine) and she did accommodate. Also, there was no "rhythm" of the massage. I usually expect that an Asian massage will be deeper pressure but she seemed like she didn't really have a routine and was just maybe doing whatever. I will say she was highly skilled at cracking my neck and back, so perhaps she trained as a chiropractor and is doing massage for some reason?

They offer both foot and body massage, I had the foot massage and 30 minute body massage, both were excellent. The foot massage included a shoulder massage and was very relaxing. I have back problems and she focused the entire 30 minutes on my back , after the 30 minutes I felt much better. I highly recommend them for their professional approach.

The place is clean, the staff is very nice and the massage is incredible! Highly recommend if you like deep tissue massages and need to get rid of knots or release tension. Yiling walked on my back and stretched me out. Amazing!Highly recommend this team. Especially if you like deep tissue massages. Everyone had is strong and, although technique varies (a good thing), very effective in releasing tight muscles. Consistently impressed.
