Jurnee Tipton: Terrible. I never post reviews but they won’t answer the phone sooooo here it is.My glasses were supposed to be delivered to my eye doctor within a week. It’s now going on a month and I still don’t have my glasses. They have not even been shipped yet, bc they say they are having trouble with the mirror. I’ve continuously called their number. No answer. My vision is very bad, and I’d like to (quite simply) Be able to see! But I can’t because I don’t have my glasses (which I paid almost $1,000 for btw), and they won’t even pick up the phone to give me any answers.

Taylor Waldschmidt: I arrived for my appointment the lady at the desk was fairly rude. During my appointment it was a video eye appointment…. I received a call a week later to get my contact trials, after showing up to pick them up, the lady processed my payment but would NOT give me my contact lenses. She proceeded to say I had to have a doctor look at them on my eyes before being able to wear them. AGAIN, she took my payment but refused to give me my contact trials. While looking around for glasses, I felt very rushed.Honestly WORST eye care place I have been to. I will never go here again.

Melissa Siegel: I arrived on time to my appointment. The lady working in the front of the store sat looking at her tablet and never got up to greet her new customer. When checking me in she was snippy and short. She also was texting her 'boss' because it was past my appointment time and she hadn't arrived. Come to find out she stopped to socialize at another office ACROSS TOWN! This lady walks in over 20 minutes after my appointment time. She's not even an optometrist! She starts your visit and then the optometrist sees you over a TV screen virtually. The connection was shotty and things weren't going very smoothly. To be honest, I almost got out of the exam chair and walked out. After my exam was through I asked for my new prescription and went to America's Best and purchased 2 sets of frames as well as adding on the highest level of anti-glare/anti-scratch and anti blue light. W. Optical isn't worth you even allowing them to get insurance payment, let alone anything out of your personal pocket. Their selection of frames are frankly pretty pitiful and poor quality. The employees were ridiculously unprofessional. This isn't just one of my worst experiences at a business, it tops the list as #1 worst experience of my life. Especially when this has to do with your HEALTH! I am baffled that they're even able to keep their doors open. I will not return nor will I give referrals to this embarrassment of a business.

She went out of her way to accommodate my needs and wants and what the online website was offering. I would recommend But not the online call the store of your choice.

Nicole Grabowski: Highly recommend W. Optical!! I hadn't been for a visit in a couple years and this was my first time with their new technology and at the new location on Alpine. It was amazing! I was so impressed at the high quality exam (both contacts and glasses) with these machines. And even though the exam felt more thorough than past years bc technology has changed, the price was still the same (bonus!). Staff was very kind, friendly and knowledgeable. Also, I went during the COVID-19 pandemic when the office was only open by appointment, and let me ease anyone's nerves - the door stayed locked until someone greeted me, it was only me and 2 staff, everyone wore a mask, I was asked to wash my hands upon entering, I completed "paperwork" via an ipad, and the new technology also means that there was zero person to person contact during the eye exam! It felt safe and the staff made it feel comfortable. Overall, GREAT experience!

L Disme: Zero stars are too many. First appt. I waited 1/2 hour, today's follow up appt. waited an hour. Then they gave me an eye drop rx that the pharmacist said would cost me about $600 with co-pay. How does this worthless place have such a high rating?

I feel this is totally inappropriate as they are not a religious business, nor do they market themselves as a Christian practice. Additionally, their patient forms are not inclusive. There was no way to record my gender or pronouns. I wound up leaving as I did not feel safe or welcome.

Stick: I had the most thorough eye exam ever! Went in for itchy watery eyes that were gritty feeling. Dr.Mitera and staff did a great eye exam and gave me the proper treatment for my eyes. Dr. Mitera even explained what the cause of my eye problem was. Me and my eyes thank you!!!

Kathy Glovick: I have been going to Dr. Benninger for probably 45 years or more. I trust him completely in caring for my eyes. You’ll never feel rushed as he will answer all your questions. My last visit for a post-op cataract surgery exam was with one of the optometrists, Dr. Mitera and, she too, took her time in answering questions. Staff is very competent and friendly.
