Breeanna Foster: Okay so I haven't actually gotten any prescriptions filled here but I plan to get all of them filled here from now on.On my 30th birthday, I spent 5 hours calling every single pharmacy I could think of trying to get a prescription filled for my rare eye disease. Everywhere I called they said they didn't have any and good luck. I called HomeTown Pharmacy and the woman who answered was so kind and personable. While they didn't have what I needed in stock, she took the time to tell me how to ask larger pharmacies to search all the other stores under their company. It worked, I found the one bottle in all of Grand Rapids. When I called she didn't treated me like just another customer calling, she treated me like an actual person and cared that I got the medication that I needed so badly. I can not tell you how much that meant to me. I have never in my life been treated that way at a pharmacy and I appreciate the kindness I received so much. You guys are amazing and I'll be seeing you soon!

Kim Barwin: My family has used Walker Street Pharmacy (Hometown Pharmacy) for over 20 years. We have never had any issue from employees or managers and have been treated respectfully. The comments from people comparing to bigger pharmacies I feel are unfair. Obviously a smaller pharmacy can't compete with Walgreens and CVS in some areas. The prices are fair, but again if you are planning to do grocery shopping you can't expect them to be comparable to Meijer.

Noah Paris: some of the absolute worst customer service in the pharmacy I’ve ever received. I was sick with strep throat and the ER doctor gave me paper prescriptions while in Las Vegas. I brought them in, and I was informed they couldn’t accept them. It hadn’t been electronically sent over, and Walgreens only accepts electric RX not paper hand written RX. I physically laughed out loud.They must constantly issue the wrong medication since the pharmacist are fresh out of school.now we’re to the point to wear Walgreens no longer excepts, out-of-state emergency paper prescriptions because their pharmacist are fresh out of school and they constantly make mistakes. I know several whoop were fired for distancing the wrong medication!I would strongly suggest to find a different pharmacy besides Walgreens. They are literally the bottom of the barrel when it comes to pharmacist and pharmacies, utterly disgusted, and this entire situation that I can’t get a prescription filled for life-saving anabiotic‘s just because it was hand written by a doctor in emergency room, where they don’t have a pharmacy.I went directly to a hospital pharmacy and they filled it immediately!

Britt Hill: After what I’ve been going through with this pharmacy for the past few days, I am switching to a different pharmacy and advise no one go through this one.I have COVID, so a friend went to fill my prescription for me. They told my friend my prescription would be ready at 2pm. My friend showed back up at 2:45pm and the pharmacy was closed. I decided to call the pharmacy to see what was going on and if I could transfer my prescription somewhere else, as it is important for me to have. I waited on hold for over 2.5 hours and never got to talk to someone. My friend went to try and pick up my prescription the next morning and they were closed, despite their hours saying they’re open. This poor service is extremely frustrating, and quite frankly could be dangerous for those who need their medications. DO NOT USE THIS PHARMACY.

A B: I had a COVID booster scheduled weeks in advance. Showed up at my appointment and the pharmacy blew me off. They said they were short-staffed and refused to see me. They even refused to re-schedule but persisted in advising me to "pop in" on another day. Bizarre interaction, very unprofessional.
Jade Oliver: Pharmacy is terrible. Exceptionally long wait times on both call and in-person. Customer service is unhelpful and sluggish. There has been multiple times where I’ve put in a refill order days in advance and I still cannot pick up my prescription until the last second. I’ve been without my medication for nearly a day and started experiencing withdrawals. Best they can do is put me on the “expedited list”.

Steven Hunter: This is the worst staffed store I have EVER been to. I was just rudely told by a pharmacy tech ‘I don’t care what the website says, you’re prescription isn’t here’ when I went to get my prescription that I was told had been filled. I asked to speak to a manager and was told that I wasn’t allowed to speak to one. I have never been treated decently at this location and tonight was the last straw. I will be moving all of my families prescriptions from Walgreens to another pharmacy that treats it’s customers like human beings. I will also be advising my family and friends to do the same. I hope everyone at this location gets fired for their lack of customer service.
Zachary Walters: I've NEVER even written a review before, but the continuous horrendous customer service, constant long slow lines, longest on hold wait time of any business I've ever called every single time, and overall lack of care deserve this one star....VERY MUCH SO! This is only referring to the pharmacy, by the way. Not to mention, one of my controlled substances I'm prescribed, a little while ago I was given 30 of my 60 pills. This kind of mistake should never happen, ESPECIALLY when it's a schedule 2 narcotic. Avoid this pharmacy, unless you're just picking up toilet paper and cereal...I mean it!

Amit Patankar: This is my go to place for pharmaceutical needs. Every time it's a great experience. I had to visit the pharmacy once during the Covid-19 crisis and I was expecting a chaos / shortage of meds but to my surprise everything was going so smooth, they had what I needed and I was attended swiftly as always.Great location, service and friendly staff. I recommend this farmacy.
Hedda Britt: Wish I could give less. I'd give half a star for convenient location, and 1/2 star for friendly staff, most of the time. For those who gave a 4-5 star for convenient shipping to home, some of us do not want shipping to home but rather pick up at store. For us we are treated rudely and most inconvenienced. Once again a new business that as long as you are a number and they dont have to interact weekly or more often on a face-to-face basis, ok. I have sat here 3 days not taking my meds because the app shows it as prescription received but pending. I called today to inquire and was told, oh its ready but you have to call to arrange shipping. I don't want shipping. The pharmacy is 1/2 mile from me. I want to go in and pick it up. Get out of the house a few minutes. Move not vegetate at home. Get as much normal back as I can. I wont even try to give her "answer"...it made no sense to me.

Steven Hunter: Brought it three prescriptions from another pharmacy that I wasn't having the best service from. I was told I would have my prescriptions by the afternoon. When I went in to get them, I was told they would be be ready until the next day because they had to be ordered. The next day I called and they said they hadn't ordered them and it would be another day to get them. If I ever get these prescriptions from them, it will probably be the last time. No one ever notified me of the delay and they obviously don't care about customers if they are lying about ordering them.

cs30blackbird: With COVID restrictions they change their rules almost weekly it seems. The previous 2 times I have gone there to pick up a prescription they let me in no problem, but this time they told me I couldn't go in at all and that I needed to get my prescription delivered. I don't have 2-4 business days to get my prescription mailed, I needed it tonight and they basically told me to pound sand. Last time I had my medication delivered it arrived 3 days late. Some of the staff are helpful but others are some of the worst I've had to deal with. If I could give less than one star I would.

Chasity Herrick: This morning The pharmacy telephoned me to advise on a few things. 1. Payment of meds 2. How do I want them delivered/sent. I asked "what meds are you talking about?" As I was unaware of any meds being renewed. The female on the other end snapped back rudely "well it's against HIPPA for me to disclose any information to you. But YOU CAN guess what meds they are!" 🤦♀️ At 8am I'm not ready to play guessing games with medication or give my credit card information to someone who cannot even tell me my meds. Very unprofessional.
Ryan Dominguez: It’s shocking how a pharmacy located inside of a hospital can be so disorganized. Maybe it’s the poor customer service and rude people that work there? At any rate, if you want to save time, and yes, you will save time, leave the hospital and go to a pharmacy where they actually care.
Scott Idema: I feel like there is always a problem with my prescription. I'm type 1 diabetic, I come in monthly for my insulin and always have to jump through hoops to get the right insulin at the right time run through the correct insurance for the correct price. It's always a battle. Communication between the staff members does not seem to be the greatest, I often have to explain the same thing to multiple people. They are typically helpful and friendly on the phone, but I don't feel like it excuses the point of sale problems that I experience every time I come in.Update 12/10/2019: If I could give this place negative stars, I would do it. It's wrong every single time.

My fiancé was being diacharged on Sunday and there was a primary insurance on there still from when he was 25 and he is now 26 and can’t be covered by his father’s insurance. The lady there said there’s nothing we can do for you. You have to contact them and Medicaid and that can take up to 24hrs. So I drove to Plainfield where my sister is a pharmaceutical tech and they took care of absolutely EVERYTHING!!!! Needless to say screw this pharmacy I suggest Meijer on Plainfield!!!! Lucky I didn’t get the girls name who was rude and mean and made sure to dig for my fiancé s old insurance not in one nor two but three different computers it’s like she wanted us to suffer!! After the fact I was misinformed by the guy at the register saying it was going directly to Medicaid

Curtis Holden: Customers service has plummeted over the last year or so. Have come here for years, but am now transferring elsewhere as I have lost count of how many times my script has been forgotten the notification never came. Last straw came when I stopped in 4 days after my script was sent as I never heard a THING from them and they "put it back" because I hadn't picked it up, but now they were out. How am I supposed to know to pick it up if you never tell me it's there to begin with!? Has happened many times. Would recommend ANYWHERE but here.

I will be transferring because I cannot do it anymore, my health cannot do it anymore. The only consistency in this place is their remarkable ability to create problem after problem. Ashley Thompson: Oh my!! Male pharmacy tech with the arm tattoos was SO rude! He acts like he is bothered by people in general and don't you dare ask a question or he'll be offended. My client's nurse was on the phone with us and told us to ask to speak with the pharmacist. The tech did not like that and immediately raised his voice. How are you in an industry "helping" people when you don't even know how to speak to customers? What a joke!! This pharmacy location is known for this...check out the other reviews for yourself. Don't go here!

Maeve Bartiss: Rude and unhelpful pharmacy. I called to see if my medication was in stock at this store (it’s out of stock in a lot of places) and after the technician told me they didn’t have it, I asked if she could look in the database if other local Walgreens had the prescription. She promptly told me “no” and that I would need to call around myself. I called the Walgreens on Michigan & Fuller and while they also did not have my medication, they took the time to check the system and find me a location that did have it in stock. The technician told me this was standard practice and not difficult to do. While I understand the technician at this store might have just been having an off day, there was no reason to be rude and flat out lie about her ability to check the database. Will not be filling prescriptions here in the future.

Filled out online appointment forms twice just to pull up to the drive thru and even though I have a screenshot of the appointment with their address, date and time it wasn’t confirmation enough? Then they tell me to fill it out again. Go inside to fill out a paper form because obviously online didn’t work just for them to tell me I can’t and I have to do it online. By the end I had to spend $26 on at home test because they can’t get their system right? So just buy the test I guess.
Jean Rackes: Was trying to get covid booster but they were all filled about hour later pharmacist calls had 2 no shows so saved the doses for me and my husband. When we arrived he had all the paperwork ready. Great service.
C Jones: Update: after everything I described below, after the pharmacy said they could not fill my prescription and I had to transfer it myself, they still decided to put in a claim with my insurance which I had to dispute in order to get it filled somewhere else. Not only could they not fill the prescription, they tried to take money from my insurance anyway. Stay far away from this place.Old review:This pharmacy sat on a prescription for at least 3 hours despite telling me it would be ready later in the day nearly 2 hours earlier because they didn’t have enough to fill it. They then offered to fill it partially if I could get a new prescription for it. I told them I could and to fill it partially, then they immediately backtracked and said they couldn’t fill it despite having enough medication to give it a partial fill, they couldn’t fill it because then they wouldn’t have anymore in stock. Then why offer it the first place if you can’t even do a partial fill? Then one of the pharmacists told me to my face they didn’t have time to deal with it, so I’d have to call another pharmacy to call them to transfer the prescription to a new pharmacy.Are you kidding me? What an absolute joke and failure of communication and service. I guess my wife gets to be in pain another night because this pharmacy can’t muster up even 20 seconds to leave a voicemail or do the absolute bare minimum to ensure this medication gets to another pharmacy. I spent more time trying to figure out this failure of communication with the pharmacist than it would have taken for them to pick up the phone and get the prescription transferred to a pharmacy that can actually do it’s job.Don’t go here if you need medication. They’ll screw it up and won’t tell you until you show up to pick it up.
