Lookout Park: what do users think?
Katie Tice: Open, quietRestrooms: Very cleanPicnic area: There's grills and tables for picnics
Matthew Asselin: Beautiful view, overlooks Grand Rapids and you can see the sun set pretty well!
Miguel Vega: Parking lot closed so hard to find a place to park
Kathy Sue: There not much look at and I also came from another city and it wasn't appealing.
Josiah Schrotenboer: One of the best views of Grand Rapids. I love the park improvements over the past few years.
Karla Cadotte: Beautiful 😍
Cort Nabozny: Small park but well maintained and great views of uptown GR and Belknap baseball fields. Large paved hills are great for incline workouts.Dog-friendliness: Dogs must be on leash, pet waste bags and disposal stationPicnic area: Nice grass with great views and waste receptacles, close to parking. Hillside is perfect for viewing events at Belknap Park.
john krueger: Great views of the city, Grand River and the sunset to the west. Parking is only on the street and can be hard to come by.Have heard that the park is not the safest later at night from those that live in town.
Isaac Sainz: Good view
Tabetha Gable: Loved the new swings! Spectacular view as usual
Mark Burns: Not a big fan of the city closing off the parking lot but I guess they didn't have much of a choice
Greg Wickstrom: Good view over looking part of downtown GR
Stevie Smith: Lookout Park is one of the best views in Grand Rapids! Can see most of the city skyline year-round.
Bill Cleveland: Lookout park has great views of Grand Rapids. Good to go at a low demand time due to scarce parking. Stairs on the south side going down to the bottom of the hill sufficiently decrepit that it is barricaded off. Short walks on top of hill with longer walks possible at the bottom of the hill. Nice ball fields and the hill leading down to them shows great potential for sledding.
Bryon Burnett: I love the views. Some say that it's not a good place to be after dark but I am not intimidated by some reviews and I have never had any problems here
Ryan Yates: Beautiful scenery
Ms. Kristy Katcha: Lookout park is small but cute, over looks the zoo and John Ball park. There is handicap parking, trails, Pavillion, and playground.
J. McCormick: This is a way understated Park in GR that is always gorgeous, but especially at sunset. Lots of folks bring blankets, picnics, pups - always a good experience lots of neighbors
Joshua McAlpine: Favorite view. Favorite sledding hill. Great hill for running up
Shannon Potts: Love the sunset
Connie Forzley: Pretty view and nice spots to eat

Riverside Park: what do users think?
jeff franchi: Need to keep park cleaner
Kaylie Johnson: Very nice and pleasant place for a picnic, a walk or a bike ride along the river.
jers420: Great place to walk my dog and frisbee golf.
Craig Eby Jr: Great family friendly park with amazing scenery. A very long path along the Grand River has many things to do along it. Community events every friday night during the summer (food truck fridays) are great to take family and friends to. It is an awesome place to check out and make a regular place to visit. There are also many spots to fish along this path and has a disc golf course along the river as well.Playground: There are a few playgrounds along the park path and all seem to be in pretty good conditionPicnic area: Plenty of spots along the river path to stop and enjoy a picnic, as well as a few pavilions with picnic tables to sit at. Large trees in the area offer great shade.
Josi Stevens: The Park is beautiful, perfect for walking, jogging, biking and dog walking. Just be careful walking along the river. It is covered with waist high poison ivy.
Ronald Lorenz: Nice park with lots of space. Kinda noisy 'cuz it across the river from a busy expressway.Dog-friendliness: Lots of dog walking so good place to socializePicnic area: Lots of grills and picnic tables
Dawn Wieck: Playground: Although some of the equipment is old, the playground and equipment is in good repair and working order.Dog-friendliness: This is a very heavily used park for dogs.
Kari Hicks: Our favorite place to walk our dog! A huge paved walking path with views of the river, nice restrooms, and a dog drinking fountain. I always feel safe here, and it’s generally well populated, without feeling congested.
Willie Jarrett: Top 5 parks in GR!!Playground: Very SAFE!Restrooms: CLEAN!!!Dog-friendliness: Very friendly, and lots of dog people visit here!Picnic area: Clean, spacious, there's power, grills, gazebo, and perfect placement!
Stefan Pawelka: Almost perfect park. I was wondering, to make it even better, could the city paint bike and walking lanes on the riverfront paved trail? It would lead to safer, more positive outcomes when an interaction between a biker and walker happen.
Audi De Leon: Bonito lugar para caminar
Carol Barton: Restrooms: They are ok! I think they should be a Lil updateDog-friendliness: I have brought my two dogs there
Audra Marie: Beautiful year round! Very old and interesting trees and neat history scattered through the park if you read the signs!

Kent County Parks Department: what do users think?
Mirtha Duthil: Nice park. Bad customer service. Cashier charged us for entry 5 minutes before the Splash Pad closed and didn't say anything to us! When approached for not letting us know and charging us anyways, she said we had to contact the Kent County Parks Department!!! We did. 5 days later, we still have not heard from them.It is the principle and not the money. It is the courtesy and honesty that it lacked.
Nathan Koets: Love my Kent Trails caretakers! 😍
Samantha Rogers: TOO MANY IRRESPONSIBLE DOG OWNERSMy harness trained cat was attacked by an off leash dog at Wahlfield Park, escaped his harness, and ran into the woods last month. The Kent County Parks Dept will not allow me to display a Lost Cat sign anywhere at the facility even though he was recently seen. The Park Manager Steve is incredibly rude and undermining and lacks any empathy.Stay clear if you don't want your pet to be attacked!!
Sheyenne Leigh: Parking lot is spacious with U shape drivewayRestrooms are located at front entrance!Clean paved roads made it great for practicing the penny board! Left leads right to Oxford Trails!
Courtney DeVore: Nice getaway
Kathy Hays: Nature is wonderful, you can see so many things there
George Waltz: Relaxing park! Kept very nicely.
Zach Wilkinson: Nice restrooms but no soap dispensers.
Peter Laura: Terrible website.
Beverly Bernard: Millennium is my 2nd home. Thank you for staying open this winter.
Jacob Palasek: Well taken care of trails and facilities.
Gunner Bandit: Tons of fun trails, with all kinds of wildlife and nature to enjoy.
jennifer pfaff: taken care of even in winter.
Kelly Herremans: Nice trails
Lisa Shelton: Biking is perfect
Henry Pena: Great trail system
George Arnold: We LOVE this park! The playgrounds are wonderful. The park is large enough that it is easy to find a picnic spot that is private.
Osvaldo Rivera: Este lugar está muy bien
Hank Hoeksema: Millennium Park is one of my favorite places to ride my bike and enjoy nature
Randy Pierman: I wasn't at the Parks Department.
Diego: Great trails. Amazing scenery. Bathrooms need a bit of upkeep.

John Collins Park: what do users think?
Rene Torres: Nice
Richard Tainter: bad
Ahlam Soliman: A nice park on the lake. Great to spend family time. Unfortunately, the weather was not the best; however, the kids were able to enjoy it. I am certain the place will be better in summer. All in all the scenery is beautiful
Casey Rife: Any relation to Phil?
Jeff Carlson: Nice year round. Culturally diverse croud. Public boat ramp. Concerts and movies all summer. Beautiful views.
Mike RC: Pleasant little park on the edge of the lake.
Vaishali Patil: Beautiful
Melissa Bedell: Walked the Reeds Lake Trail with some friends. The route is fine, but a lot of it goes through neighborhood and along sidewalks. Overall, it was an okay trail and seems to be maintained well. This also seems to be a pretty popular spot as the weather was not great, but we still passed lots of people; we had to move over for others pretty often (or move to the street to let them pass).
Haris Explores: Not bad
Mayar Al-neglat: That's a quick video of how the restaurant looks from the inside, it's very nice and you can feel the authentic smell of their food that they make everyday fresh. It makes you feel like you're in home because it's a family owned business.
Mary Torres: Very clean and nice place to walk.
eduardo maceo: Beautiful place 😍
Mark Kotlarczyk: A favorite place to visit. Family friendly and a large grass open area for sun bathing, reading a book or just a place to take in the lake. Local food and rest rooms, boat launch, but no swimming or sand beach area. Good local curb side parking.
Sajjad Patel: Very nice place to watch the water.
Lori McKay: Lovely park, more so for adult crowd as no play areas for little ones, but than again nature can be play too.
Garrett Lucas: I had a good time floating along and listening to the sun say sweet words of energy and encouragement
Venkata Saradhi: As a part of my visit to Michigan state I had visited this place with my relatives. I also witnessed a live concert held as an Aid. I have seen here first time Swans
Antoinette Johns: Nice to fish, boating, walking trails, shops restaurants
bill kerr (Beaker): Pretty fun spot
Gerardo Vargas Lopez: Exelente cada parque en esta ciudad está genial, cada uno tiene cosas interesantes ..
jeque arabe: Precioso parque !!

Waterfront / Gilmore Park: what do users think?
Nicole F: Very nice area to walk your dog. I followed the trail/sidewalk all the way to the school, my dog loved it!My only complaint is that there were no working water fountains in the area.
Samuel Mayes: very beautiful in the morning!
Rene Torres: Ok
Juliet Townsend: Beautiful park to walk at, listen to music, fish, have a picnic, to name a few things!
Feryal Alayont: Great lake views and trails. The Reeds Lake Trail goes through the park. Two branches of the trail lead through the park to the lakeside. One leads to a long floating boardwalk on the lake, with amazing views of the lake and surroundings. The other leads to two small gazebos with tables under and more uncovered seating nearby. There are informational displays in the park, and more benches along the trail.
Mickie Jonesy: Peaceful and trails. Beautiful park and you can watch sailboats which is very relaxing! 😌
Alina S: Przepiękne miejsce
Patti Burke-VanDusen: So peaceful.
Lisa Hogan: Waters dirty in summer other than that...very nice and serene❤️😍❤️
Josh Curtis: I saw a duck!
Brenda Christensen: Very nice area to walk lots of wildlife
Shukuru Claude: Great place to hang out
Kelly Wilson: Beautiful views
Brian Drummond: Great place to take a walk, or fish the shallows of Reeds Lake.
Kelly Owen: Thank you to the RICH people you can NOT even fish from any of the fishing spots. Due to the seaweed overgrowth . Nice trails leading to a possible good fishing spot BUT because of the RICH people . Letting the lake get out of control. And the RICH people speed boats . Such a WASTE of good fishing spot resources !!! Thank you EAST GRAND RAPIDS RICH people !!!!
Al C.: Nice and quiet
Moriah: I love this park! Peaceful and beautiful scenery.
Katie Hill: Very clean and well kept, great for photos
Gloria Alberta: Great views of Reed's lake. It's a wonderful place to walk your dog, and the trash cans are easy to find. The trails are well kept up so they're easy to walk. There are several options of trails so you don't have to walk the same way each visit. The wildlife (swans, ducks, frogs ) are fun to watch, and there are benches to sit if you want. You could pack a lunch if you want, because there are picnic tables.
Knitwit14: Great place for a walk, not far from Gaslight Village. Just need to know where you're going, as there are many side paths that sometimes go in a loop and sometimes lead into neighborhoods.

Manhattan Park: what do users think?
Jess: Review of trails only. Trails poorly maintained, hard to distinguish between man made trails and the official trails. It was all dirt/muddy and some very, very steep areas. I tried to go on the outermost trail but there were a bunch of fallen trees blocking the way and I wasn't too comfortable not knowing where it would lead to continue. I looped around a few times starting from the Cascade parking side and the Manhattan parking side.
Toby Thompson: Nice trails.
Owen Mazariegos: Nice park
Mike Zenk: Playground: Nice equipment
Laura: Nice place for soccer.
Kevin Snyder: Fun year round

Tyler Kooiman: Unique structures. Lots of open space. Clean
Shukuru Claude: Love this place
Corey Booker: Really was a great event they had loved it
P. J. Murray: Not bad when the homeless aren't camped out. They installed gates to block the parking lot when it's closed due to gunfire and the 119 shell casings one night. Gotta pay to park there as with every other place in GR.
Kim Kinsey: Play ground picnic area nice green grass. Lots of people enjoying the warm sunny day

Cambridge Park: what do users think?
Chris Nicol: Lived across the street for many years and enjoyed taking my kids and dogs to this park. Unfortunately, recently no one is cleaning up after the dogs and ruining it for the rest of us.
Tessa Tariverdi: This is not a completely enclosed dog park.
dagwoodj: This is a great big dog park! Keep in mind though, it's not completely fenced in. There are a couple open entrances along the fence line and the drive way/ parking lot isn't closed off.If your dog tends to run away you're better off going to a fully inclosed park.
Bradley Bosscher: It's a cool little place to be able to take your dog. Nice monumental water tower. Good sledding in the winter, my kid loves it too.Dog-friendliness: Dogs are allowed to socialize.Picnic area: There is a gazebo and picnic tables.
Lisa Hogan: Beautiful park to walk my dog and sit and relax!!!
OrangeandBlack: Great space for dogs. Unstable neighbor who occasionally walks up the hill to yell at dog owners aside, it's a fun park.
Ben Holmes: Always a good sledding hill. Long...not as steep Mulick Park...usually other kids to play with...parents always around and attentive.
Alina S: Pelne dzieci
Chris Noel: Walking my dog through this park on a leash, then some lady let's her two Burmese dogs out her car to come charging at us. I almost had to kick one of them as I tried to stay between the two and my small very nervous dog. I curtly ask the lady to put her dogs on a leash and EVERY SIGN INTO THE PARK DICTATES. She responds 'it's a dog park'. So expect a few nut jobs who don't take responsibility for their dogs. She was indifferent to us, the rules, and to the families with small children in that park. It is a park for walking your dog it is not a dog park, and you are being thoughtless otherwise. From what I hear law enforcement make fairly regular patrols by this park and have issued fines to dog owner flaunting the leash law. It is unethical that people are posting bad advice here that would lead others to engage unwittingly engage in criminal activity resulting in a fine.
Thomas Orlando: Very nice! Beautiful dog park
Barbara Egeler-Bailey: I live directly behind the park, and it is NOT an off-leash park. The rules clearly state dogs must be on a leash. Kent Co. animal control does patrol and fine people who are abusing the park rules.
Juliana Lasky: It's a lovely dog park with a big wide field for dogs to run..
Russ Hopkinson: Dog park
Angelina Bertoni: Best dog park in Alger heights!
Geo Nich: Nice little hidden gem. Just the right size for my son's ultimate frisbee game.
Sheena: Calm, quiet place for a Saturday morning walk. Has a few benches and a covered area with picnic tables.
Ryan Mc: Good open place. It is a nice location to take a little walk.
Josie Wing: A hidden gem in the neighborhood! Great for outdoor yoga, a walk or even your dogs! This is an off leash area for your dog to spend some energy! People are friendly!
Mark Gezon: A nice park .Not to busy or empty
Katie Baxter: Be very very careful if you're anywhere near the parking lot. The various construction vehicles are parked all over, and there is mud everywhere that is very very slippery..
Humberto Albarez: Todo vello

Hilltop Park & Pavilion: what do users think?
Elizabeth Pierce: Really cool secret spot, but bathrooms aren't always open. Shady playground, woody surround
Ms. Kristy Katcha: I love this little park. The trails are nice and always wildlife like deer and other creatures on them. The only downfall to this park is the steps by the pavilion to the trails are slightly dangerous. The Pavillion is beautiful and such a beautiful scene.Playground: Just a little Play set with slides and little area that kids can be kids.Restrooms: They do have restrooms but they are not open year round just after memorial day to labor day.Dog-friendliness: As long as your dogs on a leash which nobody follows dogs are allowed.Picnic area: The picnic area is small but quiet and cute
Christina Welch: Absolutely beautiful!!! Really it's like a hidden gem... Walking towards the park was so peaceful and it made me feel like I could let go of all my stress and breathe

Corky Hardy: Went there for a walk today. Absolute mess, apparently there was a gender reveal and it's a boy! Thanks for leaving your trash everywhere
Jannet Zuno: Nice place for a picnic, has a playground for the kids
Sarah Smith: It's a beautiful park, firstly. However having a playground, grill and pavilion help add to the beauty of this place!! My family and I had a wonderful time walking in the woods, eating lunch and playing. It's easily a full afternoon if you truly enjoy nature.
Jerris Finkbeiner: Very nice park.
Kyle Clarke (K2GR): Cool buildings
Kathy Saukas: So much fun for the little ones
Cody C: Family fun
