Eric Cristner: Didn’t get a chance to take any photos because it looked and smelled so good. But believe me when I say freshly made tortillas makes alllllllll the difference. The barbacoa meat is absolutely on point! Perfect combo of fat to meat ratio and the fat melts like butter in your mouth. Staff is super friendly, place is just off division so it can be easy to miss. Will be back in the very near future for more and to try different items. Thanks for one of the best lunches!!!

Drew Looyenga: This place is seriously under the radar. It reminds of a kind of Hispanic Bodega you'd find in New York. Lots of ice cream and cold treats, a wide selection of jarritos and other non-alcoholic drinks, and a full service Mexican takeout.Some of the best al pastor tacos I've ever had came from here. Real chunks of pineapple in it and everything.

Karen Pope Cannady: Tacos and beans were tasty but the guac was kind of boring. It was clearly fresh with quality ingredients, just needed a little acid and salt. Between hubby and I we tried 5 different tacos and they were all good but the pescado was my favorite.We had an issue when we were seated and didn't get service for quite some time but once she arrived our server was very nice and did a great job.

I wall: I was excited about trying this place out. Unfortunately, we waited over and hour for our food and it was cold. Not warm just straight cold. Megan Meredith: I recently went here for lunch and it was very delicious! I am from out of town so I had been recommended this place. I have bad Fruit & Nut allergies, and also pregnant so I was a bit nervous of some of the items on the menu. Our waitress and the head chef were so kind and made sure of my allergies and were very cautious. This made me feel so much better and more confident in the restaurant. They handled it it all so well. I had modifications done and it was still all excellent! I definitely recommend this place for everybody! The vibes were great and the patio is super cute.

Jeffery Russell: To the point, the food is good and the service is OK - more staff at peak hours would be better. The thing that I liked the least was the pea gravel out in the courtyard. It makes for unlevel tables and tipsy chairs. I would, at the minimum, pour concrete pads for the tables and chairs, if not cover the whole area with concrete. As always, parking sucks on Wealthy Street, but it's doable if you exercise patience. My food picks are the Brussels sprout and the Barbacoa tacos - innovative and yummy.Parking: Wealthy Street area needs more parking in general.

Hannah Stoliker: I made 8:30pm reservations a month in advance for 2 people. We arrived at 8:15pm, checked in with the host, and were told we'd receive a text when our table was ready. We waited outside until 8:50pm then decided to go inside and ask how much longer the wait would be. The host said we had canceled our reservation and we were not on the list, when we had just checked in with her 35 minutes prior? We did end up getting seated shortly after, but our dining experience was equally disappointing. Such a discouraging experience after looking forward to our reservation for a month.

MsJag1969: My husband and I have been wanting to try the Birria Tacos so we decided to research where’s the best place to get some. Based on other reviews, we came here to try it out. We ordered our plates which consisted of 3 Birria Tacos with rice and beans along with half a pepper, onions and some radish. The waitress was very friendly and helpful with our questions. It wasn’t busy yet we waited for 30-35 minutes before we got our order. When we finally got our plates, it looked so delicious! The Birria tacos were hot and delicious. Would’ve like more meat in the Birria tacos. The rice and beans were not hot at all. Almost room temperature and if not for that, I would’ve given 5 stars. Will definitely eat there again but will make sure that everything in our plate is hot.
Brian Adams: Used to be my NUMERO UNO place- but they chased me off with there prices which are in the Stratosphere. Last time i was there they stopped giving free chips & salsa- "it was a small serving" , 1 extra jalapeno pepper was almost $3, no more refills on the drinks. Food is damn good but i can get good food at other mexican restaurants save 50% and Lot better service- need waiter/waitress training. See ya.

Jennifer S: Unbelievable food! We tried asada, barbacoa, pollo, and camaron tacos, elote and smoothies. It was all delicious. It was busy, but the wait for food was not long. Highly recommend.

Definitely adding to my list of favorite restaurants 🤩Update:I went back for the first time since winter and was highly disappointed. They raised their prices, so I spent $50 on two taco dinners and a smoothie. To make matters worse two of my birria tacos did not have any meat, and the third one that actually contained meat had maybe a teaspoon. Highly disappointed for them to raise prices and drop quality. I will not be going back.

Katherine Martinez: had this at the mexican heritage festival and it was disgusting and not authentic. horchata was too watery and their birria tacos were not birria tacos lol. they also charged me 19 for 3 tacos... outrageous.not one to leave reviews, but this one had to be said.
Sofia Baldwin: I ordered food without knowing that the items had cheese on them (which I'm severely allergic to) I called them to see if I could get my food remade at which I was told to bring them back. However, when I showed up they refused to help me figure out what to do. Instead I got told that they can't remake the food.Even though they told me they would a minute ago. When I asked for my refund back they simply said that I can't have my money back. I have worked in costumer service for 5+ years and this is the WORSE costumer service I have ever experienced. The manager didn't even try to show their face to resolve the problem. I won't be going back there again. They should be more considerate about people with allergies.
Tyler Payne: This was a really great little place. The tortas was so good, I ordered it based off the cashier's recommendation and it was beyond delicious. Josh O'Berski: Tasty steak tacos. The horchata was not bad. Chips are store-bought, but the salsa is very good (if a little tame). The onion and jalapeño side was a nice addition and added the kick we wanted.
Verona W.: Very good food. The Steak Tacos are my fav - add a little salt & some of that delicious green & red salsa they give you with a squeeze of lime -- greatness. Hubby got a double burger said it was pretty good & the fries were deliciously seasoned. I also tried a regular torta -- I've had some thay blew my socks off before -- it was good but I probably wouldn't get one again from here. Overall, a good place to get good mexican close to home.

SKat Foster: I did my first order (take out) last night. The tacos and especially the tamale were wonderful. Fresh tasting and very generous size. The Horchata was excellent also. I was so full I saved my Tres Leches cake for today. OMG, heaven in a plastic takeout container.
John Murphy: Was my first visit, had the Wednesday taco special. 3 for $6.00. Food was tasty and the Jalapeños Peppers were flavorful and Spicy.I will be back soon.

Parrot Pirate: Where do I start? The food is authentic in all the best way possible! Its beyond delicious. I have a no eating in the car rule that I break every time I pick up our big batch of tamales!!! The service, beyond kind and welcoming. They speak English as well as Spanish perfectly, so no worries with any confusion if you dont speak spanish. If you are looking for a place to have great authentic central and south American cuisine this is the spot. We have tried many many places around the city and this is our go to for great food and service.
