Mike Mehler: Dropped off my prop to get a new hub after I was told at other dealers that I should buy a new prop. They replaced the hub, cleaned up the prop, and painted it! I was impressed with the work, it was done when he said it would be, and they called to let me know it was done and ready for pick up.

patrick ensley: Worst experience ever!!! I dropped my bravo one props off to get cleaned up on 5/1/2016. The man behind the counter told me 4 to 6 weeks. I called them every week to get a follow up on the status of how they were coming. I was able to speak with somebody 2 out of the 8 weeks they were there. They never touch the props. I drove the 45 minutes down to the prop shop the man behind the counter told me that it may have been September before they would've gotten to them. If I could give a negative amount of stars I would.

Scott Blayden: --Too bad you can't give negative stars--First off I would like to say I live in Michigan and I like to do business with Michigan businesses. After this issue I will send my props to someone else out of state. I’m never taking a prop to WMP again. I Took 2 Bravo 1, 30 pitch stainless steel props to WMP for repair on 06/12/2014. I was told by the person behind the counter it would be about 6 to 8 weeks for them to be finished. After several calls and TEN MONTHS later, 05/01/15, I finally got them back. I put them on the boat and took it out for the first trial. Idled out the channel into Lake Michigan fine, but as soon as I tried to get the boat on plane the props cavitated. I tried several times with the same result. I made a call to WMP to get them checked out. WMP could not accommodate me at this time due to the fact they were too busy. SO TEN MONTHS and the cost of repair (if you can call it a repair) I still don’t have props. SO I borrowed 2 props for the remainder of the summer. Called WMP to find out if they would do anything for me, I haven’t heard anything from them at all. WMP got my money so I guess that’s it. I know this review will fall on deaf ears in the public and WMP. I guess that’s how things are done these days.I took my props to another prop repair facility. The owner had me walk back to the shop area with my props. As I watched, he placed the props on the Bravo 1 blocks. On both props each blade had a different pitch, and not one was 30. The leading edges and the blade tips were not finished to the correct angle. The owner looked at me and said no wonder you couldn’t get your boat on plane. He also commented on the poor quality of workmanship that was done on my props. I left my props with this company and were completed in 2 weeks’ time. To be fair I have not tried these on the water yet.

Capt Rick SV Mai Tai: Excellent customer service! They were very helpful in identifying the shaft size on my 20yr old MI/FED Sailer propeller. Which was only necessary due to changing to a folding version for speed whilst sailing. My original 20yr old MI Wheel is still perfect and will be kept as a spare. I wish they made folding versions as I would have definitely bought it from them.

Michael Surprenant: Van's Sport Center is an excellent choice to power your boat. I had Van's remove my prior 2 stroke motor and unfit a new 4 stroke Suzuki outboard and installed power steering. They were true to their word and all work and charges were competitive and in-line with their estimate when it came time to pay the invoice. Drew J delivers excellent customer service, knows his product, and makes excellent recommendations without over selling or being pushy. They completed the work on time and in good order. The boat was clean and ready for travel, I was coached up on the motor break in requires and invited to reach back if there were any questions or concerns. Clearly a great choice and earned a 5 star rating.

Camden Smith: Bought a used outboard here last year and had a great experience. The staff were very helpful in making good recommendations and not trying to just upsell me. After a year of use it still runs just as good if not better than a new outboard. Decent price too just a tad more than you would pay on Craigslist.

kwheelz 55: Recently had vans do repower on my 87 starcraft. They did a fantastic job, removed the old outboard rigged the new outboard and installed power steering. Their work is very clean and they had a quick turn around time. Also when I called they actually answer the phone. Great shop with lots of knowledge on outboards and boats. Was told "I haven't got a single ladder in my store" we looked around for other things as well and found 6 of them. SIX LADDERS-STORE SAID THEY HAVE ZERO. Fast forward to purchasing one, the guy told me it was probably not going to work and still tried to talk me out of it (although I pre-measured my boat and knew it would work, and does) west Marine may have a nice selection of stuff but their staff could really use some better training in customer support and knowledge of the things they have in the store. Doesn't sit well when I'm told they have "not one ladder in the store" yet we find 6. SIX. And then am badgered by the same guy saying it won't work when he originally that said they have zero.
