Buying a used boat can be frustrating at times with getting some issues worked out, but I have to say that the staff at Tommy's was very genuine when it came to their willingness to help as fast as they could and get us back out on the water. In my world, communication is key. Tommy's staff seems to do this well. I would give credit to the whole staff, from management, to sales, the pro shop, and of course service. Bryan Morton: We had a power steering failure on our Mercury outboard. Blake and the team at Gull Lake worked with us to get the boat back on the water as quickly as possible. Excellent customer service.

Cole Ritchie: I took my center console boat to the gull lake outfit to have my engines tuned and synced. First thing they did was a compression test and proceeded to tell me that both outboards are low compression and need new power heads and they don't even want to attempt to tune them. Knowing that can't be true because the power heads have less than 200 hours and I just ran them for 4 hours before I dropped it off. I went back to pickup my boat and get their compression numbers and they tried to charge me 300 dollars for a compression check. Took the boat home and did my own compression check and both motors were right where they were supposed to be on compression. Their numbers were so off it wasn't even funny. Ended up tuning them myself and setting the timing, one of the motor just had a bad stater and that's why it wasn't running well. I felt like they totally lied to me about the compression test to see if I would buy 60k worth of new outboards from them. I will never trade with them again and I recommend you don't either. They are crooked in my opinion.

jake Hyrns: Dropped my boat off for a repower in March 2021, went from yamaha to Suzuki. Once the motor finally came, (after not even ordering it in the first place) they said since its a different brand ill need new guages and controls. I knew that, I had already paid in full for everything, I have it on an itemized recipt. The guages and controls didnt get ordered until early in the year 2022. Now my boat has been sitting for more than a year and a half with 50 gallons of gas so I needed it drained, (Im not chancing old gas in a new motor) I got a verbal apology and a $900 bill for it. Finally got my boat back Early June 2022. I was told ill have it back for the 4th of July 2021. The communication was awful, I always had to contact them for any info. There is so much more but im not writing a biography. They lied too many times to count in order to keep me happy. Couldn't be more displeased.I do want to say the NEW crew that's in there did mich better than the two other groups of employees we went through but I am rating this on the overall experience.

Ultimately we had an awesome Crest Pontoon made custom for us. He followed up and kept in touch as the boat was being built. The process from start to finish was smooth, professional and fun. They delivered on time and without any issues. The entire team was great, including Mike in finance and Jeremiah, their Delivery Captain. I would highly recommend them.
