Chris Shankin: Best experience was being seated by our hostess. Every other employee in the building was higher than a kite. Wrong food came out right off the bat. Nobody checked on us after the food came out, only saw our server for drink and food orders. Manager on shift couldn’t have cared less. There was NO sense of urgency in the entire building. Not worth the overpriced drinks and basic TexMex.

Alexa Tanner: *I did edit my rating because they gave me a refund and reached out to me regarding my complaint.I would order here quite frequently because I like the Thai chili tofu. I always order on the app and go to pick them up. Every single time they are cold. Worse than that is the assembly of these tacos. I order lettuce on mine and on a number of occasions my tacos have literally had 3 small pieces of lettuce on them and a few pieces of tofu. A couple times they have been made well but too often they are thrown together with no effort. To top things off, I ordered 5 tacos today and when I opened my box once I was home there was only 4 in there.Quite disappointing as I have been a loyal customer getting these tacos a few times a month. I kept ordering because I enjoyed the vegetarian option, but the inconsistency and lack of effort has made me feel I need to go elsewhere.

Karen Pope Cannady: Tacos and beans were tasty but the guac was kind of boring. It was clearly fresh with quality ingredients, just needed a little acid and salt. Megan Meredith: I recently went here for lunch and it was very delicious! I am from out of town so I had been recommended this place. I have bad Fruit & Nut allergies, and also pregnant so I was a bit nervous of some of the items on the menu. Our waitress and the head chef were so kind and made sure of my allergies and were very cautious. This made me feel so much better and more confident in the restaurant. They handled it it all so well. I had modifications done and it was still all excellent! I definitely recommend this place for everybody! The vibes were great and the patio is super cute.

Jeffery Russell: To the point, the food is good and the service is OK - more staff at peak hours would be better. The thing that I liked the least was the pea gravel out in the courtyard. It makes for unlevel tables and tipsy chairs. I would, at the minimum, pour concrete pads for the tables and chairs, if not cover the whole area with concrete. As always, parking sucks on Wealthy Street, but it's doable if you exercise patience. My food picks are the Brussels sprout and the Barbacoa tacos - innovative and yummy.Parking: Wealthy Street area needs more parking in general.

Our server Jason was quick to come to the table to greet and get our drink orders. I will not bore you with the details, but he was an absolutely great server. Mary Jane Scherer: We came here 5/14 for dinner before our concert. We only ordered 1 vegetarian burrito and 1 steak quesadilla. We were waiting for our food for at least 30 minutes. They were pretty busy, but the employees had no sense of urgency. The long wait time for our food was frustrating since people who came in and ordered after us received their food before us. We ended up receiving our food that had been sitting under the counter by the register. The environment was also slightly uncomfortable and unwelcoming. The food was ok, not good. The quesadilla was very greasy and the vegetarian burrito was mostly rice. Although the food wasn’t very good, the pastries in the cooler looked delicious!

Jonathan Groppi: This place has the best tacos ever! I usually go pretty simple just asada, and cheese. I get the red, and green sauce, and limes on the side. The taco with the red, and green sauce, with a fresh squeezed lime are absolutely heaven. The tortilla is soft, and amazing, and the entire taco experience is just incredible. I would highly recommend this place for amazing authentic Mexican. I can't wait to try more items off their menu.

Have to say that everyone was super friendly here. When I placed my order I got a couple pork tacos which were probably the best pork tacos I've ever had in my life from any place ever. They're perfectly seasoned. They had all the fixings at their salsa bar that you could add to them and everyone was super polite and helpful. Can't wait to come back and try some of the other items on the menu next time I'm in town. I also discovered they have their own standalone stores as well, which I might go visit sometime next week. We called to let them know and they barely apologized, plus once we drove all the way back to get the rest the market was CLOSED. This is the second time in a row the order has been significantly wrong. Plus, the tortillas were grainy, there was less meat than from other locations, and overall just “meh” in flavor. Would not recommend.

Anna Mendes: Just went yesterday 6/7/2022 and if I could give it 0 stars I would. Why would a taco place be open if they have NO LIMES or salsas?? Those two are the main components of what makes a taco good. Their pricing online was farrrrr different than in person and they had zero aguas frescas. NEVER going back.

All Westside residents make it a point to stop by Tacos El Cuñado a couple times a year, especially as the weather gets warm.Tacos are delicious and menu has staples like chorizo and horchata. The line can be long, and food can take up to thirty mins to make when they’re busy.About as cheap of Mexican food as you can get in Grand Rapids.You might be visited by a homeless person or two while waiting for your food but that’s all part of the experience.Good if you want something semi-quick and to-go. I wouldn’t recommend hanging out in the area to enjoy the meal. Better to take it home or to a park or anywhere but this location.

Lilly Baker: My boyfriend and I go here all the time for taco Tuesday. The tacos are great. We also like their chips and guac, but they are often out of guac in the evening it seems. There's no indoor seating because it's just a little stand, but when the weather is good, its nice to sit at the picnic tables they have outside.
