John Crankshaw: These people take care of all my tire needs. On this visit I made an online appt for free tire rotation. Showed up and was served and on my way in about 30 minutes. Nice.
Jay Jay: They do a good job, but even with an appointment, changing tires took an hour and a half.
Harvijay Singh: Approximately 3 hours wait time to get a set of tire changed in my car. I wouldn't complain, as they provided decent service and got my car hit the roads again.

Tucker Conn: The salesman was warm and inviting and discount tire offers a great selection with competitive pricing, but my experience was pretty sour today. I was told the job would be done no later than 5, so I waited around, but they didn't start on my car till 10 minutes after the expected completion. In total, It took an additional hour before my job was complete. I missed my haircut appointment as well as a scheduled exam. It's safe to say I wont be a returning customer.

Michaela Francisco: Not a great experience at this location. Had to cancel our new winter tire appointment a few days beforehand due to our household catching covid. Could not reach the store to cancel (no one answered the phone) so cancelled online. Received a call from the store later to reschedule and did so for a week later. Fast forward to the night before that rescheduled appointment, I called to confirm the time as I could not find the confirmation and they have no record of the appointment. The customer service agent could not contact anyone at the store directly, so I had her schedule me for next week supposedly - though I’ve yet to receive a confirmation email. I dont know when I will get my tires. This is the third time that I’ve experienced trouble with a scheduled appointment. The last I had a rotation scheduled and they didn’t have record of it. I think I can spend the $600+ elsewhere where I will receive better service.Edit: 40 mins in the waiting room after my appointment started and they are just now taking my car back.
Kati Spayde: Ordered and paid for tires three weeks ago and today was the earliest available appointment. Showed up and they tell me that the tires are on backorder with no eta.They said they called multiple times. "No, I never got a call." They then say they called once and left a message. "No, I received no message."I gave them the number for my work phone. I always answer and always check my voicemails. They never contacted me, they just sat on my money for 3 weeks and offered to install a lower quality tire. I asked for a refund instead.The people working were polite and friendly, but I took a day off of work for this. What a waste of my time.
Ahmed Kasim: Very disappointed, usually they are great to deal with. However this time I took my dads car for a flat tire. He said if your wipers are bad is okay to replace them I said yes but they less than two month old. Anyway got changed with lower performance once. I’m about to go buy a new once. Very disappointed.

Marcee Chaco: Went down there to get my front right tire replaced they did good but then came back today and got another used tire for my left front and they told me to pull in to the garage this time he replaced my gold plug with a black rubber plug cap and my lug nuts are messed up and my tire is crooked...found out today that the tire they sold me is 11 years out dated they refuse to give me my money back and I had paid on cash app. I would like my original lug nuts back and and gold plug cap back smh coming back down there today.. they said they didn't steal my gold cap and they didn't didn't mess up my lug nuts they really get people for these used tires and lug nuts and plugs smh every penny they can get they will do anything. Just because I woman they tried to charge me way more for a used tire. If you are a woman don't go here for used tire better hope the new tire they replace is actually a new one.

I had a tire with a slow leak and they took my tire off right there and found that I had not only 2 nails in the tire, but also a bad valve stem. He was able to patch it up and replace the valve stem for only $30! And all done within 15-20 minutes out the door! Happy customer here!

Anthony Hopkins: Got a flat tire and had to drive 3 miles at 5mph. First garage wouldnt help me. They were too busy. Saw this place on google and gave it a try. Main mechanic was busy but put down his tools and asked what he could do to help. I told him the lugnuts were rusted on and wouldnt come off. He got his air tool out and immediately got the lugs off and put on the doughnut tire on for me. I was very late for work but because of him i was able to get there when i did! He asked for just $5! I gave him $10. This man is the GOOD SAMARITAN kind of man. He deserves our business!

Anonymous Viewer: Phenomenal customer experience. Jarrod assisted me in the morning with setting up a tire swap. The swap happened quickly, and i went to pick up the truck afterwards. I didn't specify exactly what I wanted, so it wasn't done exactly right. I told Jarrod this, and not only did he immediately get to work to fix it, but he didn't charge me an extra dime. Him and Cole were VERY fast and efficient. Would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a speedy and efficient tire change!

Charles Hekman: I've bought several sets of tires from this store. The service is great, they rotate your tires, they'll fix flats for free, and they're polite and straightforward with you. I do all my tire shopping here.Update: they recently changed their appointment schedule, and now they're not able to keep up with all the appointments they take. I recently brought my car in on time for a simple winter tire change. It took them over an hour and a half to even start on my car. I wouldn't recommend waiting in the store for service unless you have nothing to do all day.
Mike Henry: Discount tire on Plainfield had been my store for several years .Until today .I drove in car riding smooth as glass all tpms working fine .Mike informed me after trying to sell me new wheels and wipers that he needed $ to do a winter tire change .Not 1 time have I had to pay this ever the summer tires winter tires and wheels all purchased from discount with the assurance I would never have to pay this fee as long as I placed road hazard on all 8 tires which I did . Reluctantly and rudely he said I'll do it 1 last time .Then he comes to me and says your tpms sensor on right rear is not working . I explained they aren't 7 years old they were installed with the new wheels 4 years ago after I asked to see it and realized it was across the store not even on the car I knew the issue as most times you need to be away from any other vehicles that interfere with the signal . Then on way home my car bounces like a stage coach clearly never balanced my tires . I call discount Alpine to talk to the gentleman who sold me all this named Kevin . Tyler says he's not in. No let me take your number ,I'll have him call you to schedule a appointment. Just sorry . I guess discount tire has fallen into the same issue any other corporate issue. They don't care about the customers that made them they only care about the bottom line the $$$ .I will try Kevin 1 more time and I trust him as he is a peoples person but Mike Tyler no way you guys need a course in customer relations or you will lose sooner rather than later . Worse customer service ever . Thanks 👍.

Ashley VanZanten: I purchased new tires at this location about 3 weeks ago. My car died and I am bringing it to the scrap yard and wanted to take the tires off to return them as there is probably less than 50 miles on them (because the car sat for one of those three weeks). However, the guy I spoke with said he had no use for used tires (although I thought they sold used tires at discount tire?) and that I could sell them on FB Marketplace. Won't be using discount tire in the future.
Al Feinauer: I have been buying tires for my cars (and now my children's cars) at the Plainfield Discount Tire on Plainfield for decades. That ended last week. I had a slow leak in my front tire and went in for a repair. As the tire was being looked at by the technician the desk employee tried to sell me windshield wipers. When I declined the price immediately dropped to buy one get one half off (a tactic that always bugs me). When the tire tech was done I was informed that the leak was irreparable due to corrosion around the wheel and I would need 4 new wheels - $1100. I said no and price dropped, no again then $700 for cheaper rim - nope - then $385 for a matching refurbished rim. I asked if the leak could be repaired and was told they would clean the rim but it was a temporary fix and at least one new rim would be required. I drove down Plainfield to Firestone. THEY cleaned the wheel and tire, reseated the tire and low and behold - no more leak. I would love to know if the employees who tried to upsell me and therefore lost a lifetime customer will be praised or chastised by Discount Tire Management!

Jahr Jahr: Unless it’s an absolute emergency I would go to the discount on 28th st or any belle tire over this location. For a single tire you won’t be able to leave for less than $150. Plus the young techs think it’s okay to steal if they believe you won’t notice whatever it is go missing. I will never return to this location specifically.
Adam London: Great service! Can be busy at times but that's the nature of the business and 4 seasons of weather. Was able to fix a flat tire for me within 2hrs of dropping vehicle off for free even though I didn't purchase the tires there! Have purchased from here in the past so not sure if that influenced the no charge today but either way - great friendly service! Highly recommend!
