We were seated in the bar area, which would normally have been fine, but it was at least 10 degrees colder than the rest of the restaurant. Prior to our server arriving at the table, he had gone up to the host stand to ask if we could possibly be seated in another area. The wall art all has a modern, sort of impressionistic feel to it and they really lost the Texas ranching feel of the place. Gone are the Frederick Remington style paintings, and black and white photos of cowboys, and with them the atmosphere of this once great restaurant.

First and foremost I had the best experience with a waitress that I ever have had in my life. Her name is Michelle she was kind, caring, patience, welcoming, warm and sweet. I can not say enough positive things about her. now onto the food. I had the 8oz sirloin and let me tell you, this steak gives capital prime a run for its money. it was tender, juicy and cooked to perfection. highly recommend!

Crystal Schneider: Food tasted fine, service was fine, but the restaurant itself felt dingy to me. I was confused when we walked in and I thought we were going to be walked to the back for a seat and then I learned I was looking at the entire restaurant.The pictures on here are super deceiving imo. My husband and I went here for our wedding anniversary and got seated in a random corner that felt like an afterthought table was placed by a storage closet covered with a sheet. There were drywall chunks missing on the walls by us. It didn’t feel nice at all. If you want an upscale experience this place is NOT it. Will never be back.

I have been trying to get here since 2018 ish, as I work in Lansing, but l commute over an hour to work and am usually rushing to make it home after working all day. I'm glad I finally made it here! The service was great! I had the filet with mashed potatoes and a side of greenbeans! My steak and sides were good. I also tried the shrimp bisque, which was also good. However, I had the crab cake appetizer, and it was amazing! I've tried crabcakes in a lot of restaurants, even in Maryland, and this was hands down thee best crabcake I've ever eaten! I'll be back!

matt clara: I had a $62 fillet mignon that was good. But I tell you what, I make a filet that is nearly as good and doesn't cost $62. Their porterhouse is $140. I made one last week that cost me $10 at Meijer's and had a filet attached that was more tender than the $62 filet I had at Bowdie's and that porterhouse tasted as good as any steak I've ever had, because I know how to season and sear them, and in the end I have to say Bowdie's is not worth the price.

It was mid afternoon and empty inside; however, the bathrooms were nasty, no soap (water was in the bottle) and vomit all over the stalls. The manager (who denied he was manager) seemed only to pacify us with our concerns. It was also very unfortunate that items on the menu couldn't be ordered.We often dine at many different restaurants across our wonderful state... This is at the bottom.

(See photes)the current head chef ( dan rey) menus are basic at best, you can see he(dan rey) has pick off other menu in the area and has fallen flat.. all (dan rey's) restaurants are empty (all) just because troppo's feeds the parasites of the Capital and House, didn't give (dan) clairvoyance to the food scene on the east side of the state.. His standard is fast, fast, frozen, pre made and reheated...I appreciated in Lincoln, Nebraska and everything I did was 💯 from scratch.. I have won more awards then troppo's.
