There was a leak from the unit above me and they came right away cleaned up the water and started the mitigation process in the kitchen area and furnace area. Mckenzie Barna: Had a great expirence until billing came up. The guys came out and drained our flooded crawl space. Was quoted 500 and some change I expected a little room for overage. I was than offered a fan and a dehumidifier to be Sat in basement to dry it out. I was told by three different techs when asked what is the hourly fee for this? Is there a charge? NO, WE WILL NOT BILL YOU FOR THIS. All of a sudden we have 2700 dollar bill to eat we ask the question we get lied too. My fault for not getting it I writing. These people prey on weak and desperate people in desperate situations. I have half a mind to report these practices to Better business bureau. Steer clear if you don't want hidden fees. Sylvia Ray: I wouldn’t use this company! The owner Mr. Johnson should be jailed for SENIOR FINANCIAL ABUSE! This company left my dad’s house a mess in 2017 and I thought the water was mediated until recently a lot of BLACK MOLD was discovered in the basement and living room, and was informed that J&L was the company my dad’s referred him to because they are on contractor connect. They responded to do some work from wind and water damage and DID NOT do any water mitigation and now there is mold. You did repairs to the ceiling, and NOTHING to the floor carpet which hadbeautiful wood underneath that water had landed on. You replaced ceiling tiles and NOTHING to the basement floor where water also landed. You clearly saw water and DID NOTHING! YOU WERE responsible for mitigation because you was the contracting company per the insurance company and NO water mitigation was done nor suggested by you!You can try and escape responsibility but you are a terrible company.Service:Water damage-related cleanup repair

Lauren Woods: Do yourself a favor and call other companies! McCardel tried to charge us thousands of dollars for restoration two other companies agreed we did not need. The two other companies looked more closely at the problem and left without charging me a thing- McCardel will charge you $150 to come out and try to sell you. When I called to share my dissatisfaction at being swindled, they had excuses. They take advantage of people in times of need.
Kimberly Kovera: In June my 400 sq. ft. storage unit flooded. I discovered a mess 13 days after the fact. A situation worthy of its own episode on Dirty Jobs. I called McCardel. A crew was dispatched the next day. Team Felicia, Gabriel, Haven, and Dave Rocked It. Filled two 24 ft. trailers of my belongings and memories to be taken to the next step of the recovery process. Tami answered every question I had and was the best liaison to my insurance company I could ask for.The McCardel family does more than clean up and restoration. Nick D'Isa: Kerry F. from Servpro East Lansing/Haslett was amazing to work with. His professionalism, attention to detail, and communication is the reason I am writing this review. So the back story: 5 years ago we had some construction done adding a new kitchen including all new plumbing. Fast forward this past weekend we had a run-of-the-mill clog in the line. Well, what we didn't know was the PVC drain pipe had a saw cut on the top of it. Because the drain was backed up it began leaking out of that cut on the top of the pipe. This flooded one of our downstairs bedrooms. Because we use it as storage it went unnoticed for an extended period of time. It also meant water and kitchen/dishwasher sewage had flooded the room and the carpet, baseboards, walls, and of course caused the ceiling to cave in. We had a mess on our hands for sure. We called around and Servpro East Lansing/Haslett not only answered the phone but was able to come the same day and start the cleanup. Like I said Kerry F. from Servpro East Lansing Haslett was AMAZING!!. He was prompt and on time, answered all our questions. Brogans Tire: Steve and staff are amazing. We have a bad roof contractor job and when our living room ceiling caved in he and his crew were right there helping us. This occurred before/during/after Thanksgiving weekend and not only were they fast, they took care of all of the insurance billing. Their other company "Ace Cleaners" picks up, cleans and returns your area rugs for a great price. They have also cleaned our vents and we have always enjoyed having the crew around.

Brittany Lesage: We were referred to Belfor after we experienced flooding in our basement. Our bathroom had been destroyed because of the water damage. Removal of all damaged material was done by Roto-Rooter (highly recommend). Insurance of course had gotten involved, field adjuster came out and did their end of things. Our desk adjustor suggested Belfor, they came out and did measurements. Left paperwork on a Thursday, said they would be back the following Monday. They didn’t return for 3 WEEKS. Estimate that was given was $3k more than our adjustor had submitted, due to miscommunication on what was involved in the damage. Another estimate was submitted and we were cleared by insurance. Belfor confirmed an appointment to come to our house again to discuss details of the work to be done, this appointment was set last week. Fast-forward to today, over an hour past the established appointment time, and they didn’t even show up. When contacted, the gentleman that was supposed to come said he “forgot”. They haven’t even done any work in our home and they can’t be bothered with being considerate of our time. Over two months has been wasted between insurance and Belfor, most of that time has been with Belfor wasting our time. Would not recommend if you are attempting to get anything done in a timely manner and on a schedule that works for those who are paying for the services.Edited to add: Notice of Cancellation has been sent, and the requested information was sent to the owner after they had commented on my review...with no response to my email.
Ess Bee: The quality of work was very good. The techs are good. Very responsive.My chief complaint is their business procedures. They are not timely with communications and billing. Don't respond to requests. Very poor. Also, writing TBD for an estimate is not acceptable. You can make an estimate. Mike Arambula: Belfor out of Okemos, Mi was the answer to our prayers after our house fire. Steve was very compassionate and knowledgeable and went above and beyond to make sure our home was restored to an even better condition than it was before the fire. The employees of Belfor were polite and professional and did very good work, along with all of the outside contractors used. My wife and I are also very happy with the work that Jen and her crew from Rising Sun Painting did in our home. We strongly recommend Belfor for your restoration needs! I don’t give many reviews, but they deserve every star.
