Danijel Tomic: This place was awesome, arrived day earlier and was told i can stay there for the night. Its a nice quite and clean place. You can back in to any open docks in the morning after 05:00 and walk to the door, ring the bell and you’ll be unloaded in 20 min which is simply amazing. All the guys I encountered there were very nice and friendly

Jeremy Wells: Stay away from this place if looking for work. Was very transparent from interview to last day of work with my plans to become an aircraft mechanic. They waited till I took my test for a&p mechanic and fired me because they wanted someone more long term. They never expressed that was an issue. Should’ve never hired me if that was the case. They will not be honest with u, ever. And other employees are toxic and make you uncomfortable
Marcin Pyzik: Very slow getting unloaded here, took forever from 1 pallet to the next. Arrived around 10:30am and not fully unloaded till 13:00pm. Please be mindful.

Aaron Walsh: I guess Dan Henry distributor drivers decide that it’s acceptable to flout laws to make deliveries on time. Setting aside the fact that they are okay with driving large trucks through residential streets to get to the Quality Dairy at 700 North Pine Street in Lansing, a driver in a truck with the Bud Light logo didn’t appear to lose any speed at all ramming past a stop sign at Chestnut and Madison in Lansing. As if I needed yet another reason not to drink alcohol. This is beyond the pail. 09/14/2021 at 7:45 am EDT.

Steve Ripper: I worked for Dan and Kate a long time ago and just recently began working for them again. I can honestly say they are without a doubt the best employers I’ve ever worked for. They treat employees like family. They value their employees and clients and strive to ensure both are happy. There are definitely opportunities to promote within the company if you are patient. I personally know several individuals who now work for major breweries and got their start working for Dan. His business acumen is incredibly valuable, and you can learn how to become a more successful business professional working for him. Brian, Ed, Jim, Bo, and Brandy are the managers and do a great job helping coordinate information between the drivers, sales reps, and merchandisers. Betsy the administrative assistant is quite possibly the nicest lady in the world. Kate is awesome at answering any questions you have and is incredibly easy to talk to. It’s a great place to get a start, and work your way up in a growing business.

Alex Plestsov: This place is weird. They did not let me in to use restroom. I am in the process of filing complaint to Department Of Labors. They said their policy is not letting me in. It is not an appropriate reason. I am human first of all... What if your wife needs to go? They wouldn't care...

Nick Thompson: I worked here when the ownership changed. The new owner doesn’t care about his employees and can’t pay anyone enough to care about their job, so naturally things have gone down hill. He had a good staff and wasted the chance to maintain the Oades reputation. They still have a great selection, but can’t seem to keep the store stocked & customer service has suffered.
Kody Kosloski: I forget my mask from time to time while working. I bounce around different vehicles when working etc (I work automotive). I visit this location often (Old Oades). Had a staff member here throw a huge fit about me asking for a mask and begin to tell me how I shouldn't have forgot a mask and it's been over a year with the mask thing. Let me mention to you they offer them for free for this reason exactly and likely the staff member didn't buy them. Guess I'll walk the extra 10ft and goto admiral instead from now on.
bob smith: Oades oades oades... used to be the best, not just in the Lansing area but going out a good 50 miles. Hell they ordered me a couple Sam Adam's Utopia beers in past years. We've had many great years. Lately it's not the same.Good selection, no longer great. High prices, no longer a little high. And the last couple times I've been it's not the same feeling. I used to be able to go to the counter and say what I wanted and it was grabbed for me... now I've got to lead the clerk around, no more 'hey if you like that double wood maybe try this'...

Jeff Boyd: This review is for the OKEMOS LOCATION. Stopped in and asked for some specialty bourbons. He said the staff gets first pick and that it's a perk of the job so you're probably not going to find any. He also added we don't like to see just anyone get them. I asked if I could reserve a bottle since others stores I have shopped at will do so. He said maybe if you were best friends with someone who works here but I don't know you so..... sorry. Horrible customer service and store policies. I would suggest shopping elsewhere.
