J S: The orochon miso is incredible. The pork belly is tender, the fish cakes are not at all mushy, and the broth is perfectly seasoned. It's also a huge bowl with tons of noodles. I'm a big guy, but I usually eat a little more than half and then have a tasty meal to take home for later. I've never had bad service and the food comes out very quickly. What's not to love?

Nooresha Feedaally: We came here since every other restaurant was closed, and this was one of the few that was open. After getting three different types of ramen, we found amazing taste. I ordered the tonkotsu black garlic ramen, which was flavorful and delicious. My husband got the Spicy Tonkotsu Ramen, which was great, and my son got the Tonkotsu Ramen, which was also pretty delicious. The service was extremely hospitable and welcoming, inspite of us coming close to closing time. Overall, our experience was great and I would definitely recommend this place for you.

sarah silkenson: This place was delicious! I’d been wanting some good dim sum and to try ramen other than Sapporo (also good, but that’s separate). They nailed all of it. I went with my brother and we both tried the golden rice noodle bowls with beef brisket as well as the pan fried gyoza. It was so good! The waitress who took our order was incredibly sweet and helpful, I assume she was the owner. She helped us decide between the golden noodle bowl and traditional ramen. She was right when she told us you could get ramen anywhere, but the golden soup you’d be hard pressed to find else where. Totally worth it. I’m going to try and go back to try the black ramen bowl next. Definitely check it out if you’re in the area.

Absolutely worth stopping by!Vegetarian options: It looks like there are a range of options for vegetarians, some of which include the use of tofu.Parking: There are plenty of parking options available, but due to there being a lot of other businesses in close proximity it may be a bit difficult to find a place to park closer to the restaurant. Zhen is a part of a strip mall essentially, so keep that in mind if you are planning an outing with a larger party.

A S: Maybe I have a bias because the last ramen that I had was from Kame in NYC last week, but this was disgusting. Inedible, cheap, and missing protein.In my tonkotsu, the chashu pork was mostly just fast without any meat attached. I paid $14 extra for extra pork and brisket ($30+ for one bowl of ramen [NYC prices should have bib gourmand flavors]). Without exaggeration there was a single half inch cube of beef in the entire bowl... I poured out the broth just to look for the meat. I should have taken a picture. I paid for extra pork too and it was not added.My partner ordered hers spicy and they made mine spicy and hers was super mild. Also, both ramens had far too much fish oil. It was more fish broth than chicken/beef.To anyone saying this tastes like authentic ramen, I just don't know what to say... I couldn't finish my food. I threw it down the toilet. This was my first and last time going there. 4.9 at the time of this writing? I would suggest making your own fresh ramen at home or going to a bigger urban area than okemos to find what a real properly balanced ramen tastes like.The only good part was their fried dumplings. So, get those and avoid the ramen.

Sometimes it just feels like no one actually tastes the food. The prices are too high to deal with the hit or miss nature of the product.Compare to Tomukun in Ann Arbor which is the same price range and consistently better ramen, bao, etc (albeit without the pinball, but you can find some not too far away)Updating this review over a year later - I'm here often for pinball events so I tend to get food in spite of the concerns. I feel like 8 times out of 10 the food is great, 1 time out of 10 it's mindblowing good, and 1 time out of 10 it's absolutely terrible. the reason I feel 3 stars is still relevant is that absolutely no one cares if the food is bad. You can't get remakes, replaced with something else, or even taken off your bill.

C M: this place USED to be my fave korean food place in all of EL. In the past 3-4ish visits, i have been so disappointed w their service. The quality of the food is one thing, but in the past they used to allow me to make slight modifications to the food as there are some food items i’m not allowed to have and can’t eat. During the last few visits I have had to return plates of food because they contained food items i couldn’t have and the servers are not always transparent about what’s in the menu items even after i explicitly repeat i can’t have certain foods and i just need to be sure for my safety. The last time i went, they said they are not accommodating these food modifications anymore. I get that but it was very disheartening for me to hear. I will seldom return to this place.

T B: Over priced food for little to no food at all.Also the food didn’t taste good at all, not even bbq. No seasoning on the beef brisket at all, and not good sauces or seasonings to even add to it.. also the spicy fried squid didn’t taste good at all and took over 45 minutes to cook. I don’t like sitting at a restaurant watching my food out of boredom take that long and then not even taste good..I couldn’t really expect much from a college town that just wants $ and not even good food. I’d say this place is a fail at “korean bbq” I didn’t see any authenticity in it at all. Literally left and went to get food somewhere else because the portions were so small

C: I really wish I could love this place, it's fast and convenient and pasta is like mu favorite comfort food. When I haven't had any issues with my order the food is usually pretty good, maybe feels a bit overpriced but I am ok with it for the convenience. Sadly at this location I have had some issues with my orders. The worst offence was probably when my partner found a few chunks of a plastic bag in his mac and cheese, ew. Additionally several times they have messed up my orders. The staff is usually very friendly and happy to sort things out but it can be time consuming and if I'm spending $10+ on some pasta that I chose because it was a fast option I really like it to be right in the first go. It's happened enough times that I stopped going there for a few months but I have gone twice in recent weeks and noticed a much better quality in correctness so maybe they have had some staff turnover and things a better now. It's definitely not the worst, but considering how many awesome restaurants there are along and near Grand River I often decide to go somewhere else to avoid possible hassle.

James Wagoner: I had a fantastic experience with this place. I take my pasta and noodles pretty serious 😆. Seriously though, the Shrimp scampi penne was off the charts flavorful. I could actually taste the lemon in the scampi sauce. My wife got Orange chicken Lo main. Tender chicken and an orange sauce that knocked my socks off. Both noodles were cooked to perfection. If you have never been and you love pasta and noodles, try Noodles and Company👍🏻

James Lawler: Having not eaten at Noodles and Company before I was pleasantly surprised when I began eating the orange chicken noodle. I ordered and the food was up within 3 minutes. Service was awesome. I had a 20 min drive back to my office. When I began eating the order back at the office I was impressed at the temperature, just right. I say the because the outside temperature that day was frigid. Definitely going back for seconds.
