Elizabeth Mestelle: 10 Stars if 10 were an option. We parked right outside on a beautiful day! The hostess seated us immediately in a sunny spacious dining room with lots of room between tables. Our waitress Keisha was very attentive without being pushy. The huge menu offered a choice of breakfast, lunch, dinner, and small plates. The hardest part was selecting what we wanted. My guest was very pleased with her choice of a cup of asparagus bisque and the Kickin' Pastrami sandwich. I chose the Wet Breakfast Burrito! The rosemary sausage gravy generously served over the delicious burrito of eggs, bacon, hash browns, peppers, and onions was beyond superb! To top it off, my friend's birthday entitled her to a fabulous complementary dessert. She chose the bread pudding soaked in a caramel syrup and topped with real whipped cream. Wise Keisha brought it with two spoons so we could share! We love Soup Spoon Cafe!Vegetarian options: So many options! And they all are delicious.Kid-friendliness: A nice restaurant to teach kids how to enjoy good food in a wonderful atmosphere without being stuffyParking: Michigan Avenue has parallel parking. Nathan Teggerdine: Was once one of my favorite places to eat especially Sunday morning. Since reopening from COVID shut down nothing is the same. I’ve given it 4 attempts now and each time I was more disappointed than the last. The spicy chicken and biscuits with gravy is not even close to what it once was. Food feels rushed and Ingredients taste cheap. Very sad to see this happen.
Ann Asher: Great place to dine. Everything was very nice! We went for dinner and enjoyed it so much... we went the next day for brunch !Vegetarian options: Very good!Kid-friendliness: Kudos friendly

Supreme View: Worst service and food I have had in a long time. Server was not friendly and didn’t know how to be hospitable and make things right. It took us 35 minutes to get drinks (served by another server) and order our meals. The food came out tasting sub-par and flavorless. Manager didn’t even want to come and make things right because he had been dealing with so many other issues throughout the night.
Laura W: Food was decent. I wish there were more gluten free options besides salad. We had the deviled eggs and they were good! The wedge salad was okay, needed more dressing which made it better. I added tomatoes and onions. My husband had a sandwich that he enjoyed. The drinks were good too.Food: 3/5|Service: 3/5|Atmosphere: 3/5 …More

Waverly Jones: Kind of a weird time. Very cool looking inside. It took a really long time to have anyone come to seat us. Staff kept remarking on how busy it was but our whole party has worked in food service and didn't feel like it was very busy. We ordered 3 drinks, one cocktail and two draughts and it took like 20 minutes at least. It was a long wait for food and one of our appetizers came out completely cold. Entrees were hit or miss. I liked the pimento Mac and cheese but everyone else in my party felt like their dishes weren't great. Pricing felt high for what we got, especially when we realized they charged for each side of ranch. Wait staff were so great though, and they seemed to be trying to compensate for the bar and kitchen. Not necessarily a place I would go again.
Thom Miller: Laid backKid-friendliness: Parallel parkingParking: Not a big problem

Fidlers on the Grand Restaurant: what do users think?
D S: Edit: Prayers for this family. I hope they're able to recover and reopen. They will have the entire cities support. But if they don't it would be understandable and still glad to have experienced them.
Luis Velasquez: One of the best places for breakfast!! Mark is an awesome guy. Makes you feel welcomed.
Barbara Neilly: I’m especially sensitive to the bitter taste of expired/old baking powder- no worries here, the biscuits were clearly fresh and made homemade with fresh ingredients. Delightful!
Thomas Castellanos: The homemade flavor shines through! The sausage was tender, tasted fresh, and was spiced just right.
Adam Brooks: My favorite restaurant in the world. Everything is made with passion and love
David Benden: The food was good and the service was good.Food: 4/5|Service: 4/5|Atmosphere: 4/5 …More

Walt Reynolds: Every time I have gone to Fiddler on the Grand not only is the food amazing, but the owners are great. They greet us and come around wanting to make sure everything is good. This is so nice getting unique entrees, great cinnamon buns, and truly great service. I only with they could clone themselves and open more places.

Nancy Lansing: First visit in years. Fab owners, a fork above many options in the city. Flavorable twist on breakfast options. Quality. Fresh. Fast. Teaching youngsters about service/waitstaff, bonus. Too noisy with music blaring, but that's part of the experience. Dine and get on with your day quickly as patrons are VERY polite to those waiting to be seated. Will return.Parking: City needs to step up and fix sewer, drainage. It's always been a issue there, that corner has standing water for years.
Brian Goulet: Small, hole in the wall dinner. The people who work there are super friendly and love what they do. Lots of fun and great to support a local mom and pops restaurant.Food: 4/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More

Outstanding atmosphere, super friendly staff, DELICIOUS food! The sausage gravy and biscuits were dynamite…and I’m picky about my SGB!! And the homemade cinnamon roll with cream cheese frosting was out-of-this-world!! Absolutely cannot wait to go back!!
Brooklyn Rhodes: As soon as we walked in it was fairly packed and we were a party of four so we weren’t too hopeful on how soon we’d be seated and eating BUT I can’t even tell you how comforting, welcoming and loving this place is!! The lovely man at the front was telling us to make ourselves at home and to get comfy, he gave us our drink cups, we got our drinks, and waited for not even 3 minutes and we’re immediately taken to the table. We were given the AMAZING cinnamon roll we ordered almost right away after sitting down. We also found some cards to play with while we waited a total of FIVE MINUTES and it was amazinggg! I really recommend this place!Vegetarian options: Salads and thingsKid-friendliness: Very appropriate, happy communityDietary restrictions: Vegan, vegetarian

Otto Blink: So delicious! The owner put on free breakfast sandwiches and burritos for veterans this Memorial Day weekend. We had the burritos and some amazing biscuits and sausage gravy. Delicious sweet tea too go with it and a fantastic selection of hot sauces. This place always serves the best breakfast and it's so tough to get in that you have to stand in line outside just to share a table with other customers, and it's all completely worth it.You can't get this eclectic but family-style experience anywhere else!

gonemtbiking76: The Golden Harvest again and again define what a delicious hearty breakfast should be. We dropped by on a Saturday with friends from out of town for the full experience. The eclectic exterior and interior decoration, unique seating process, great blasting music and ever changing board menu inside. Additionally, as we all know, includes a wait outside and two hour wait for your food (of late). We had a great visit and the food was Amazing! They comped others meals automatically but I had to ask for mine to be comped too, even tho others were seated after me, and ate and left before I ever got my food.

Ricky Longacre: This place is a just go. I know y'all have driven by it how many times. They have the BEST breakfast in town y'all. You can easily split an order between two people for the price. Can't beat it.The Blueberry French Toast is to die for. I'm not sure but I think they fry the bread fresh right there. Topped with custard, whip and blueberry sauce. 5 Stars.Biscuit Mountain is what it is. A traditional American breakfast plate featuring a pile ofbiscuit, made fresh, gravy eggs and wide cut large bacon strips. And the Staff, particularly Violet in front does an amazing job serving and making sure your dining experience is more than worth the wait.I don't know any of the cooks but Kudos to you as well. Laura Farrington: NO STARSI was so excited to go to this place. I goggled brunch places and this place came among the top. once I arrived, the outside had so much character. Unfortunately, I had the worse experience. First of all, the waiting time was one hour and 30 minutes. I waited patiently while having great conversation with my girlfriend. When we first walked in, we were not acknowledged for about 10 minutes and it took a long time for the waitress to even offer the drinks. However, I was very forgiving since she later apologized due to the lunch rush and gave us a complimentary French toast. After an hour and 30 minutes and no check in or updates, we inquired about the food which still was not on the grill. My girlfriend and I decided not to wait any longer and we politely asked to cancel the order. The cook got angry, removed the ticket order aggressively and threw it out while cursing and displaying the worse attitude. As we were walking out, she kept cursing and saying that the food was about to be prepare and that the waiting time warning is posted at the entrance. I was tolerant about the waiting time, not being acknowledged, no check in or updates; but I draw the line with rudeness, lack of professionalism, and disrespect. I’m surprised, they are still in business with such a horrible customer service. I don’t care if the food is good, I will never go back or recommend this place to anybody. I’m much happier eating garbage than being treated like garbage. No thank you.
Carrie Lynn Clifton: I love everything about the place an people. Food is amazing an the staff is awesome..I trying to get there Saturday for breakfast.

Batter Up Bistro: what do users think?
Beth: They don’t maintain/take care of the rain garden they supposedly “sponsor” right outside their own establishment! It seems like they would want to keep Lansing looking nice, rather than contributing a place for people to dump their takeaway containers!
Google User: My god lower your prices and you will have more customers. $20 for a chicken sandwich is wayyyyyy to much. You can still make a profit by selling sandwiches for $8 which is still high but reasonable.
S. Horesi: We stumbled upon Batter Up Bistro after a google search looking for a new restaurant for dinner and WOW, this place is amazing! From the moment we walked in, we knew we found a hidden gem. The decor is beautiful and comfortable (check out the gorgeous sink in the bathroom). Our meal was excellent - beautiful presentation and delicious. We had the pleasure of meeting the owner/chef Cari and her husband Jerry. Their love story is inspiring and their restaurant reflects their love and devotion. We can't wait to go back! They serve breakfast/brunch/lunch/dinner - not many post-Covid restaurants offer that. Do yourself a favor and support this incredible place - your senses will be so satisfied you did!
Trevor Benoit: Batter Up Bistro is a hidden gem of a restaurant that serves up some of the most delicious food in town. From their signature brunch to their mouth-watering chicken salad and wonderful pasties, everything on the menu is prepared with the utmost care and attention to detail. The cozy ambiance and friendly staff only add to the experience. I highly recommend giving Batter Up Bistro a try!
Malcolm Price: The food was cooked skillfully but to be honest a bit too salty. The atmosphere was homey, like a pub with motley tables, that you could choose to sit at. The menu is simple and separate between day parts. The service was good and attentive. It felt like a special place.Food: 4/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More

Dr. Chris Sovey (HealthyConsumer): All around excellent. Cari created a highly enjoyable experience. Service was prompt and food was exceptional. I had the sweet potato gnocchi, while my dad had the beef tenderloin. Highly recommended on all accounts.
Wyatt Steel: Severice sucked, food was great bit service sucked
Liam Steel: Service sucked. We didnt have silverware till 10 to 15 minutes after we got food.

Kitty Rothwell: I have been waiting for Batter Up Bistro to open after Covid. They are open now and I'm so happy they did. I met some friends for lunch; it was the first time they had been there. We all ended up with the chicken salad sandwich and we all loved it. Tracie was able to have the blue cheese swapped out for feta. The staff was very accommodating. I had the French onion soup with half a sandwich. The half looked like a whole sandwich and we all had leftovers to take home. I grabbed a slice of the zesty lemon 🍋 cake and a slice of blueberry cheesecake to take home. Both are delicious.I highly recommend Batter Up Bistro. They now serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner and serve alcohol. I will definitely return!Vegetarian options: They have a veggie sandwich that is yummy. For dinner they have a couple vegetarian appetizers and butternut squash ravioli entree.Parking: There were lots of spaces to park on a Thursday at noon.
Joola Oyeleye: Service was spectacular! Our waiter was very attentive and responsive. Our meals were out super fast!Food: 3/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 4/5 …More
LeeAnn Miller: We had the most delicious meal we have ever had. Wonderful, kind service. Nice music playing. All in all a wonderful time. This is my new favorite place.
Tom Beachnau: 1st time little on the pricey side chicken sandwich large and tasty potatoe soup to die for . Waitress good until i ask for additional napkins she brought me over 3 bar napkins haha ? other than that I would return for the soup for sure seems like a very limited menu
Emily Trudgeon: Did not feel welcomed felt everyone was self centered and didn't get checked on while eating so see if I was doing okay. Two people especially were very fake in person I felt deeply. Very over priced for the amount of food that is made for the meals.
Rebecca Sabin: Smoked drink, atmosphere, and service was outstanding!! Highly recommend.
Karen Barrow: Sun shines through the front windows, Tony Bennett's voice, smooth and low wraps the room. Young server approaches and coffee appears. An immediate sense of understated sophistication allows your eye to catch details of comfortable ease. An invitation to settle in. My first visit here for lunch a fews days ago insured my second visit for breakfast late this morning. The other day was French Onion soup, a recipe I'd like to get hands on! Savory, a depth of flavor I've not found elsewhere yet. This followed by superb chicken salad, cranberries and bits of candied pecans add just a slight sweetness to this savory delight, all served on a bread almost more perfect than the chicken salad, makes it worth more than the price you'll pay. And willingly, pay many times in the future! The sommelier filled my request for a mimosa (minus the orange juice). Yay!Well done Chef, Proprietor Cari Jodloski!Come to this place. Again and again.
Tanya Caswell: Had a wonderful dinner....our waitress was Amber and she make a great recommendation for dinner and Chris the bartender was fabulous with drink ideas and information on wine
Sarah Yonkman: Delic food. Melts in your mouth. Fast service
Angela Lauer: Amazing service, atmosphere was warm and friendly. Their tenderloin was delicious, great flavor, melts in your mouth. I highly recommend this place to dine at.

Under Ach1ever83: First time here, May 2023.Pretty busy at lunch, but the line went fast. They had a ton of mobile orders they had to deal with.I had Chicken Schwarma lunch which comes with salad, rice, chicken, hummus, and pita. Oddly, the pita was the bagged kind you can buy at the store, nothing special. I also had falafel. The food was pretty good, but not amazing. I liked it, but the chicken was a bit dry. Everything else was pretty good. The hummus was really good.Quick service. Decent food. Decent portions. Friendly staff. I will go back.

Michael Simmons: Hey Doug! No, I don’t really know you, but our waitperson was Ginger and she told me you own People’s Kitchen. Thought I’d personalize this review! Just had breakfast with my beautiful partner and we agree this was an excellent meal! We had the pancakes and Still Ain’t Broke. Eggs made perfectly and that lemon butter on the cakes was amazing. Sausage was also very tasty.Oh, and the coffee was the best! And, and Ginger was very friendly and provided all the answers we needed in making our selections and she kept the coffee flowing. Thanks!
N M: This was an experience. A very artsy relaxed feeling upon entering. I loved how happy and friendly the staff was. My whole family was in love with each dish. I recommend everything as we pretty much ordered one of each thing on the brunch menu. My family wants to come back to try the dinner.
Catherine Caswell: Mother's day brunch was worth the wait. Omg shrimp and grits was perfect. 9 in our party and everyone's plate were just beautiful.Wheelchair accessibility: Only good if you can hold it lol
Israel Conerly: There is 1 vegan option for brunch and lunch. Stop recommending this as a vegan restaurant 😂 the restaurant said it hasn't had good options in a long time.Vegetarian options: One option
Pietro Spiga: Very nice patio and chill vibe. Good very tasty.

Hailey: Great and friendly staff. We had to wait about 10 mins for a table of 4 on a Saturday morning, but they did estimate about 30 mins. They do not have gluten-free bread or batter. I wasn't a fan of the breakfast potatoes, they reminded me of a Thanksgiving meal, lol. But my friends like them. Overall, cool place!Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
RG Harden: Attended the wine dinner and they did a great job pairing the entry with each wine. Also go to PC for dinner and have never been disappointed.Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Etta Abrahams: The most wonderful expansion of the East side of Lansing for me has been The People’s Kitchen. It’s atmosphere has a lovely grittiness about it and one feels entirely at home in whatever one chooses to wear—dress, denim or drag. But most important are the food, wine and service. Whether for brunch, lunch or dinner, in small or larger groups, every morsel I’ve eaten and sip I’ve imbibed has been transportative. The servers are prompt, knowledgeable and attentive. The chef changes the menu seasonall it seems. Yes, prices are up there, but the experience is worth it. Not fit for a glutton but for those who appreciate reasonably sized portions of finely prepared foods.Be sure to try one of their special wine tasting or beer tasting dinners!Parking: Lots of parking behind and across the street.Wheelchair accessibility: Ramp to restaurant.
Justin Kirkpatrick: Hands down the best restaurant in the area. Haven’t had a bad dish ever, and I often bring out of town guests for dinner. Cocktails are always inventive and fresh. Highly highly recommend.
Mandy Dittmer: Some of the best food in Lansing! Love their pancakes and chicken sandwiches among other things…just an excellent establishment that you must try!
Kyle Parkllan: The food tasted great, and the service and atmosphere was very cool. I would recommend looking at the menu beforehand, as the prices and entrees have changed (understandable) since the last time we visited. Two separate parties were seated next to us and left after looking at the menu claiming they couldn't addord it. The server was so kind and did provide some local recommendations which I'm sure helped what was likely an uncomfortable feeling. We ordered two entrees, no drinks, apps or desert and it was $87 before tip. Unfortunately the portion sizes left us hungry.I'm not saying there's anything wrong with what they charge, but the dinner service seemed to target the high end/specialty dining experience.

VEG-N: what do users think?
John Johnson: My girlfriend and I makes plans on road trips to visit vegan restaurants. Coming back to GR from Ann Arbor, we had planned to stop here and were not disappointed. She had a chickn sammich (pictured) and I had the rueben B-N burger. (I deeply apologize for not having a picture but I ate it before that thought crossed my mind). It was that damn good! We shared a basket of sweet potato fries with jalapeño ranch which was amazing, as well. Their sauces are house-made and quite literally the bomb. I highly recommend this place if you are a local OR sojourner vegan.Kid-friendliness: Vegan cookies, stickers, kid-centric vegan coloring pages with good information on them for kids to 'digest'.
Benjamin Hawkins: So glad I found this place. I am vegetarian and lactose intolerant so I am always down for trying a vegan place. Sometimes vegan alternatives are underwhelming, but this place exceeded my exceptions! Especially for taste!Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
AJ's Place: Was in the area and thought we’d give them a try. We order over $60 worth of food and maybe for someone who likes vegan junk food or is curious about substitutes for meat, possibly but we were disappointed with the quality and overall taste of our food. It seemed as though the “chicken” was nothing more than Boca Patties and the “wings” were very disappointing for the prices! They seemed to be Gardein chicken wings/tenders. If a restaurant is going to use these mock meats may be try to transform them in the dish and make them a bit more of personalized recipe for their restaurant. It was just a no for us. Some of the food went uneaten, unfortunately. However, the chocolate chip cookie ice cream sandwich was tasty!
Jonathan Northrup: DELICIOUS!!
Jon Northrup: Delicious!
Ms B: This place has a large selection of delicious comfort food. Looking to indulge in some junk food feasting? This is it! So many things to choose from so read the menu in advance. They also have healthier salads and bowls. A perfect place for anyone wanting to explore vegan food without intimidation. They also gave us a few free dessert items. Thank you! I am veganish and my adult child is vegan. It is awesome to go into a restaurant knowing you can choose anything without being limited to just side dishes. Cool veg stickers and bags too. The only negative that we could come up with is that our stomachs were way too full.
Reese Clark: Excellent fast food stop in general! Even if you don't follow a vegan diet, you will not be disappointed. Will definitely return soon.
JSTS: Quality control issues. Sometimes when I order things are really good, but more often than most I feel like toppings are cut short considering how expensive a single dish is.I almost always get the chilli-cheezy fries. Only once or twice have I received a fair amount of chilli and cheese on top. The other times have been maybe a spoonful of chilli and a few shredded pieces of cheese. This time with overcooked fries. For $10 I would expect the fries to be loaded and not so naked. I really really want to encourage supporting vegan restaurants but I'm pretty disappointed with the inconsistencies.
Sara: Super friendly and food was good!Recommended dishes Chicken Sandwich, Cookies …More
Dagatha Christiansen: The customer service alone deserves 5 stars. They were very helpful with allergy information. I usually avoid restaurants that don’t have this information on the menu because I don’t want to be “difficult” by asking but they were kind and let me know that several menu items were also gluten free. They even made me gluten free cookies so I wasn’t left out when everyone else got a regular cookie The food was excellent and we’ll definitely pop in every time we are nearby. Thank you guys for such a great experience!
SYNDICATE: I would rate 3 1/2 stars if I could.I ordered online and my only issue with that is that there was no description for the crispy chicken and the build your own options felt limited - when I did order, since it felt limited I called about additional items - I was told I didn't need to call again and they got my request! I was excited but when I arrived unfortunately it wasn't quite right...I ordered a coke and was handed a diet Pepsi at the counter. Which is fine quick switch no problem. But, later after getting home I also found out that the lettuce and tomato was missing on my crispy chicken. This was disappointing because it felt like it really needed that. To summarize the food felt a little overpriced and I wish the order was accurate! Please fix the website. It tasted good despite this.
This is Awesome: I am very very impressed with what I ordered. Enough that I wanted to leave a review. Genuinely good food.

Katelyn Olin: soo yummy! and awesome service!
Andrea 1994: The customer service was absolutely amazing. And the food was so delicious. I will definitely be checking out this location the next time I’m in town. I love the fact that they explain the menu to me.
