Child and Family Charities: what do users think?
Alyssa Durand: Staff are neglectful, they don’t report the items they should and forget to tell the parent that picks up the child after their visit of major events that occur during visits that could lead to the child being in danger. Not a good experience with this location.
Jane Doe: Just no. My ex husband was ordered supervised visits after being charged with a heinous crime (for lack of better words) I had sole custody and even though that happened I had physically no say about these visits. They state in their policy it is only the other parent in the visits and family is generally not allowed, but he had people come in every week family and not family. It didn't matter if it was people I wasn't comfortable having around my kids for all this place knew these people weren't even supposed to be around my kids. I've never felt so dismissed and concerned that I sat in the parking lot for every single visit because I was that uncomfortable leaving my kids there. This man had no custodial rights but got to call all the shots.
Jasmine Pratt: Awesome staff! Alexis is absolutely amazing. She's kind and super polite! This place is also one of the best places I've came to for individual counseling. My therapist is beyond awesome.
Dottie Skodak: Very effective and out therapist or rather our worker was very upfront with my child which I did agree on. He wanted him to respect him as well as himself and me. Very thankful he could talk with my grandson and let him think thru what was next of her didn't participate in this program and that he understood the consequences of his failure.
Kat Gandolfo Real Estate Guide: I cannot say enough good things about child and family charities. They have such an incredible mission and offer so much to our community it's remarkable. Please go check out their website and see how you can help support them.
Brandon Piercefield: Great place we use it for play therapy for our 7yr old son who is autistic. His therapist is an awesome human her name is Ashley. She always makes my son comfortable and they have a good time. She always offers my son a drink and snack. There's plenty of parking spots and front door is locked with a buzzer to hit controlled by my only complaint the receptionist who seems to always be annoyed with her job and you come off as a bother to her. This being everyone's first interaction with each visit I hope it's just been coincidental to me personally. I don't know all the exact services they provide there but I've seen people of all ages there as clients. I couldn't be more satisfied with my sons care from Ashley and their services.
David Hamilton: Supervised visitation with my daughter.
Zaslameire Young: I woulda chose to stay with my mom.. if I had a choice.. but they stole me let me see my mom for a little n took me away from her n put me with strangers...I WANT MY MOMMY
Deerose26: I don't like leaving review for non profit, however I'm extremely disappointed in the hiring process. I was excited about working a fulfilling job in other ways than pay, knowing that most kids that are self admitted and looking for help, and me being a mentor to help them navigate through life.I was supposed to have a meeting through an app called teams, I was only twenty minutes early for my schedule interview, I double check to make sure I had the right info. I waited forty minutes for an interviewer that never showed (Philip Gates). I called his number after the allotted interview time and was met with an unfriendly demeanor and a guy who just wanted to shift the blame. We set up a meeting for in person, but after taking a night to process what happened I decided to look for employment else where. It was tough cause I was excited about the opportunity. I just wanted to write this review because indeed has me jumping through a ton of hoops just to write a review.
Kathy Kreimer: Got to see my great grand children there
Darrel Ashby: AWESOME organization and they do incredible work in our community.
Diane Goodemote: Child and Family Charities continues to expand and provide an array of services to children and adults in the community! Their staff and their leadership teams work very hard to think outside the box, collaborate and meet the needs of everyone they serve everyday!
Roderick Thomas: Good people who do the best they can in spite of unfavorable circumstances.
Sherry Campbell: I have served as a director for this agency for nearly 9 years. I became involved mostly because of services we provided to the agency, but I've come to see the amazing work done with children, youth and families in our community. The agency provides a wide variety of services and supports not offered by other organizations.
J Mudget: Very good placing very nice people
Jen Wolf: They are friendly and professional. I expected to feel self- conscious and uncomfortable, but was pleasantly surprised.
Sophia Estrada-Ferreira: Child and Family Charities is a wonderful place to work! with caring staff members and a great management team. they are always willing to fill the need in the community.
Angela Bunker: The management at this company is always thinking of their employees and how to make sure their needs are met. The management team is open for conversation and are easy to talk with.
Rachel Prosen: Amazing organization that offers a variety of programs for families and individuals. Very dedicated staff and service providers.
Chad Jordan (Cravings Gourmet Popcorn): Everyone was very nice
James: Gr6et agency to get involved with for foster care. They care about the foster kids, foster parents, and the families of foster kids. They go the extra mile to make you feel safe and comfortable.

St Vincent Catholic Charities: what do users think?
Alex C: I recommend anyone looking to become a foster parent here, look elsewhere. I have few good things to say about this agency. If you're considering donating, look for a different charity in Lansing.
Hailey Amarie: I was a child in their care. I was here for almost a year with cancer and they never took me to a dr to get care. We didn’t know I had cancer until I was out of their care. While I was terribly sick under their care I was mistreated and gaslight by the staff at how sick I was getting. I was also placed on “sick bay” where you only get one meal a day when you are sick. I lost alot of weight and suffered immeasurable mental pain from this facility. Because of this facility when I got help for my condition it was almost too late. I almost died. Not to mention they recently got in trouble because a male staff member had a whole year long relationship with a 14 year old. You can look it up on google. Please reconsider another facility to help your children and family. For the sake of everyone. I can say that some staff members here were my light during my hard times here.
Kim Marple: This place is a joke they don't try to place family back together they think they can make money off your children done with this place..yoyr going to be investigated if it takes every last dime in have
Tracey Spaulding: My team has created several documentary-style videos to highlight some of the work STVCC has done through their refugee and adoption/foster care services. It's so evident how passionate this team is, and it's heart warming to see the positive impact their work has on the community.
Mia Mohammadi: They are not answer the phone.
Christine Huff: So far I am very happy with the services that my granddaughter is getting here so she can return home. From what I have been told it's one of the better residential placements in the state. I will post another review after she comes home.
Shivian Morgan: This group would rather CLOSE THEIR DOORS than place children into loving, supportive, stable, compassionate LGBTQ+ homes. Anyone who prioritizes their bigoted faith above the health and wellbeing of a CHILD is sick, depraved, and should ABSOLUTELY close their doors.
Kayliecia G: I don't particularly care for this place. They ignore you.
Rhonda Harvey: Work here nice place to work..
Kiley Zaranti: They are the worst place ever. I have ptsd after living here for two years, I didn't get a childhood because of this place, I barely ever got to see my family. Don't send your child here, let them have the childhood they deserve.
Carol Prahinski: Highly recommend the legal services for immigration. Thank you for the service provided.
Beverly Pack: I adopted a child that had previously been at St.Vincents. She still talks about how wonderful the staff was to her. After I adopted her, I took her back to see the staff. I think this is important for the staff to see that they really made a difference in her life. They were overjoyed to see her and one of the staff members spent most of the visit in tears of joy. She commented to me, " We never really know what happens to the kids when they leave here. It is so wonderful that you brought her to see us and to see that she is thriving and doing well." My adopted daughter often speaks of adopting a sister from St Vincents to help someone like she was helped.
David Williams: Very clean, and nice place

Capital Region Community Foundation: what do users think?
Donna Hondorp: I'm proud to serve as a volunteer for the Community Foundation. I have a front roll seat to see how the organization continues to be a critical voice & partner in the community & take on projects that no one else is tackling to make our communities vibrant & thrive.
Meegan Holland: As a board member and volunteer, I've had some of my most gratifying experiences with this organization. The Community Foundation team is made up of top-notch professionals with a clear mission to improve the quality of life in Ingham, Eaton and Clinton counties. The board set a goal of being a placemaking leader and in just a few years, an ambitious downtown Lansing park was built and now a universally accessibly playground is underway. It also responds quickly to regional needs, as proven by its COVID response in supporting non-profits whose resources were strained by the pandemic. As a fund holder, I appreciate the ease and flexibility allowed in tweaking how my money will be distributed. I highly recommend it to investors who are looking to give back to their communities now or set up a legacy fund. The foundation's funds have grown tremendously in the past few years, thanks to smart investing. I'm excited to see what the future holds!
Rebecca Bahar-Cook: Our community benefits from investments made by the Capital Region Community Foundation, and what a bonus to the families and individuals who work with the foundation to make their philanthropic giving easy and more effective.
Victoria Evans: Great organization to work with! I love what they're doing with the riverfront in Lansing. Rotary Park is such a great spot.
Deanna Miller: Great old building that has been rehabbed!!! Love it!

City Rescue Mission of Lansing: what do users think?
Miles Lowber: Chris b! Older gentlemen on night shift! turned me away three night in a row! I have slept under a bridge since! worst worker there
Riko Suave: Very friendly and helpful people. If you are ever in need of shelter stop here.Only downside is they want you in by 6pm and out by 9am so if you are homeless and have nowhere to go... Well good luck basically.
amber petersen: Shame on you for forcing religion on people in return for shelter. It should be illegal to do this.😡
Frodo Adams: An absolute gem in our community... This place is extremely important. Protect the mission at all costs!!💚💚Also, staff are beyond kind and helpful.
Joey Pavia: Simple... Absolutely the very best.. From top to bottom.City Rescue Mission..THE VERY BEST
Montez Grandberry: Was thinking about going I’m currently in need but reviews say they just give you a place to lay your head . Do they actually help you find housing , vouchers ect ? Just wanna see if it’s the right place for me . Single male
Dawson Thompson: Thank you City Rescue mission for everything! I couldn’t be more grateful for everything that you guys do. God has shown me that being on the streets is no fun. I’m loving where I live at we have horses and they teach me life lessons that I’ll need so that I won’t end up back in the situation I was in. I also, would like to volunteer there sometime since you guys helped me with my issues I would like to give it back. Gods got a great plan for each employee that works there and I’m so glad that I got the help that I needed from there.
Jack Mills: Caring and compassionet to the homeless
Clifford Thompson: This is Aaron Meehan I was a recepiant of your service about 7 years ago i think and you were the best shelter i was at thank you for everything
Eric Armbrustmacher: They help a number of people. I went with my mom who dropped off items to donate
Michael Brndnbrg: If I could or you I WOULD NOT come here! It's filthy, allows violence to occur without recourse and has NO SECURITY! This place was given almost a MILLION dollar donation and rather than make the shelter more secure! BLEW IT ALL on the building next door which will cost over a MILLION dollars to renovate. They also DO NOT HELP find housing! Their job is to perpetuate homeless to stay in business.
Richard Miller: This place has helped me on more than one occasion first time death's in the family, this time BOSS well X-boss and so called friend haha
James Wehagen: It's a place to sleep but, they really don't do much to help with getting the homeless into housing.
Laura Marrison: I am a covid tester. I have been going to this shelter once a week since 2/21. The staff seem to care very much about their residents. During this time I have witnessed great compassion from both staff and residents.
DeMack Dawson: Thanks for the good food and for the awesome word of prayers that you give. Means alot.
Sean Stelmashenko: This is a clean shelter that offers dinner and breakfast to guests. Plus a shower, locker and clean bedding for the evening
Ronnie Kirby: Good food and clean place. Always beds open rarely turning down anyone.
Richard Martin: This is an amazing place, doing amazing things for God, changing people's lives.
Scott Mallery: Forced religion
Sherrinda Bailey: Great place to find China dishes
Rennsda Ozanich: This place serves food for the homeless and I love go help
