Child and Family Charities: what do users think?
Alyssa Durand: Staff are neglectful, they don’t report the items they should and forget to tell the parent that picks up the child after their visit of major events that occur during visits that could lead to the child being in danger. Not a good experience with this location.
Jane Doe: Just no. My ex husband was ordered supervised visits after being charged with a heinous crime (for lack of better words) I had sole custody and even though that happened I had physically no say about these visits. They state in their policy it is only the other parent in the visits and family is generally not allowed, but he had people come in every week family and not family. It didn't matter if it was people I wasn't comfortable having around my kids for all this place knew these people weren't even supposed to be around my kids. I've never felt so dismissed and concerned that I sat in the parking lot for every single visit because I was that uncomfortable leaving my kids there. This man had no custodial rights but got to call all the shots.
Jasmine Pratt: Awesome staff! Alexis is absolutely amazing. She's kind and super polite! This place is also one of the best places I've came to for individual counseling. My therapist is beyond awesome.
Dottie Skodak: Very effective and out therapist or rather our worker was very upfront with my child which I did agree on. He wanted him to respect him as well as himself and me. Very thankful he could talk with my grandson and let him think thru what was next of her didn't participate in this program and that he understood the consequences of his failure.
Kat Gandolfo Real Estate Guide: I cannot say enough good things about child and family charities. They have such an incredible mission and offer so much to our community it's remarkable. Please go check out their website and see how you can help support them.
Brandon Piercefield: Great place we use it for play therapy for our 7yr old son who is autistic. His therapist is an awesome human her name is Ashley. She always makes my son comfortable and they have a good time. She always offers my son a drink and snack. There's plenty of parking spots and front door is locked with a buzzer to hit controlled by my only complaint the receptionist who seems to always be annoyed with her job and you come off as a bother to her. This being everyone's first interaction with each visit I hope it's just been coincidental to me personally. I don't know all the exact services they provide there but I've seen people of all ages there as clients. I couldn't be more satisfied with my sons care from Ashley and their services.
David Hamilton: Supervised visitation with my daughter.
Zaslameire Young: I woulda chose to stay with my mom.. if I had a choice.. but they stole me let me see my mom for a little n took me away from her n put me with strangers...I WANT MY MOMMY
Deerose26: I don't like leaving review for non profit, however I'm extremely disappointed in the hiring process. I was excited about working a fulfilling job in other ways than pay, knowing that most kids that are self admitted and looking for help, and me being a mentor to help them navigate through life.I was supposed to have a meeting through an app called teams, I was only twenty minutes early for my schedule interview, I double check to make sure I had the right info. I waited forty minutes for an interviewer that never showed (Philip Gates). I called his number after the allotted interview time and was met with an unfriendly demeanor and a guy who just wanted to shift the blame. We set up a meeting for in person, but after taking a night to process what happened I decided to look for employment else where. It was tough cause I was excited about the opportunity. I just wanted to write this review because indeed has me jumping through a ton of hoops just to write a review.
Kathy Kreimer: Got to see my great grand children there
Darrel Ashby: AWESOME organization and they do incredible work in our community.
Diane Goodemote: Child and Family Charities continues to expand and provide an array of services to children and adults in the community! Their staff and their leadership teams work very hard to think outside the box, collaborate and meet the needs of everyone they serve everyday!
Roderick Thomas: Good people who do the best they can in spite of unfavorable circumstances.
Sherry Campbell: I have served as a director for this agency for nearly 9 years. I became involved mostly because of services we provided to the agency, but I've come to see the amazing work done with children, youth and families in our community. The agency provides a wide variety of services and supports not offered by other organizations.
J Mudget: Very good placing very nice people
Jen Wolf: They are friendly and professional. I expected to feel self- conscious and uncomfortable, but was pleasantly surprised.
Sophia Estrada-Ferreira: Child and Family Charities is a wonderful place to work! with caring staff members and a great management team. they are always willing to fill the need in the community.
Angela Bunker: The management at this company is always thinking of their employees and how to make sure their needs are met. The management team is open for conversation and are easy to talk with.
Rachel Prosen: Amazing organization that offers a variety of programs for families and individuals. Very dedicated staff and service providers.
Chad Jordan (Cravings Gourmet Popcorn): Everyone was very nice
James: Gr6et agency to get involved with for foster care. They care about the foster kids, foster parents, and the families of foster kids. They go the extra mile to make you feel safe and comfortable.

Child & Family Services of Michigan: what do users think?
Betty Gable: This organization is a bright shining star. Operation Good Cheer provides Christmas presents for children in foster care and joy to volunteers like me for over 20 years. Imagining the children, but actually seeing all the volunteer pilots, package wrappers and buyers....that's just delightful!ps Constancia has reviewed the wrong place. CFS of MI does NOT do support services like anger. She may have meant Child and Family Charities of Lansing?
Constancia Bozzo: Ive worked with child and family for 3 years. And received no help with the childs anger issue's. Or help of any kind. And the caseworker was lazy and didn't want to hear what i had to say and they gave me the runaround..
Wayne Johnson: You have completely screwed over the best person that ever ran Good cheer since Tacky, the man that started it died in a car accident. He helped Tacky successfully move the operation from Howell to Oakland Pontiac Airport. They started out in a small hanger on the east side of the airport and moved several times before finally settling in at Penta Star Aviation. He helped grow the program from several hundred kids to over 16,000 they now serve. He computorized the sign up sheets for both pilots and helpers meking it easy for people to volunteer rather than rely on paper and phone calls. He increased the volunteers 10 fold from what it was. He got both individual pilots and the corporate pilots to volunteer their time and aircraft. He got resturants to donate food for the volunteers both Friday night and Saturday morning. He got major corpoations 1to also donate money. He had the Good Cheer running very well last few years. They never decoded to invite him back this year, and not even a thank you for all the hundreds of hours he spent each year and he has done for over 20 years. You have really made a mistake. All my friends and organizations that I talked into helping I hope they read this and decide to volunteer some place else this year. An organization that appreciates what they volunteer for.
Denise Dalrymple: Great location!

Ingham Michigan Department of Health and Human Services: what do users think?
Monica Slone: If I could give ZERO STARS I would. Literally, been handed over to so many caseworker and they're never the same and never give any real answers. I know all of my recertification verifications were submitted but due to THEIR SYSTEM being "glitichy" I am just screwed until their 'tech" team gets it eotked out. Ingham County is a joke except
G L: I called and left a message for the case worker about 7 times, never heard back. Called back and they "elevated" the situation and added the supervisor, still nothing. Called back and they "highly elevated" the case and added the director, yep you guessed it, NOTHING!
Angela Baker: I appreciate the help given, but I can not understand why they can't hire enough employees to accommodate their case load. I've waited on a recertification over two months!!!!
william remensnyder: Punctual and cordial.
Keyana Wilkie: Been calling my case worker for the past month NEVER answers the phone get paid to do nothing, submitted my paperwork everything requested yet a week later I get another paper saying I didn’t submitted the stuff ridiculous could call constantly from the time they open to the time they close & not get through
Lukas Villalpando: The most defunct governmental institution I have ever had to deal with in my whole life. Have been given the run around for my benefits for over half a year, had specialists ghost me, had the supervisor ghost me, honestly could be that they just all quit, but regardless very unprofessional in general.
Mikayla Hamilton: I struggled for so long trying to hear back or get any information from DHS. I had contacted my caseworker, supervisor and still silent. I finally got connected to Lauren and she finally was able to help me with the information and questions I have been trying to ask for months. She was wonderful to speak to and honestly the most help with the best attitude that I have ever seen from DHS! THANK YOU LAUREN! ☺️☺️☺️☺️
Lamar Sorrells: Not a good experience can never get my stamps on time when it’s time for renewal
Devo Pace: I have been trying to get ahold of my caseworker since the 3 Ed no answer no reply to emails or phone call renewed my case information and was cut off my assistance still waiting on reply today makes 10 days not counting weekends.
woozy lj: Case worker never answers and keeps having me run around turning in papers that were already turned in only to denie your benefits. My case workers name is Michael and he is horrible!!
Judy Russell-Pearce: At this point , it seems that Michigan Department of Health and Human Services faked a “hacker hacked into the ebt system” scenario. They took them funds back themselves. 2 months later and NOONE received their funds back? But you make $2 more than “eligible” your benefits getting cut same day and hour 😂 After calling my worker, the landing office, and my area dhs office, all week, no answer.
Nadesia Maet: Everyone sitting behind that window is very rude and unprofessional every time I asked to speak with they hirer’s up they refused it
Helena Rawza: I have had almost 8 case workers in the last year since I’ve moved out here. Three times my cases have pended closure due to the incompetence of DHS’s. I’m dealing with this again currently. Have reached out to my case workers they were switching on me again in the last month since I’ve received my renewal. I have contacted supervisors twice now and some times I can’t even get an operator on the phone. I am fed up with stressing out over this and the amount of collateral damage it causes. I don’t know if the turn over rate is due to how employees are treated at their job or what, but this is too stressful and too much to have to go through constantly when the closure pending is due to DHS compliance, NOT MINE. I never had this problem before, until I moved out to this location.
James Hunzicker: Pathetic. Submitted my renewal forms last month so my benefits would carry over. Food benefits were supposed to load on the 11th, never did. Went in to find out why and resolve it and was told my caseworker has not "gotten around to it." She still hasn't. Always get her voicemail when I call, never returns calls and when I try to call to speak to chase mgr, never an answer and voicemail always full. Who holds these people responsible and how do I contact them???
RAGNAR THE WARLOCK: Why the hell can't anytever answer the phone and why can't anyone do their job
Sierra Tamez: Not only is it incredibly hard to get with a representative through their really dumb automated system. there was 41 people ahead of me and I chose to leave my number and get a call back. I got a phone call from them and the guy who answered was pretty rude and the call got disconnected and he never called me back. I absolutely HATE trying to call them for any reason and now I need to be on another 4 hour wait to speak with another person who absolutely will not be able to answer my questions. Fix your system and problem solving and you should probably call your people back....
Austin Jones: this place is a disgrace.
Greta Fortenberry: Jen in Environmental Control and Your female Security Guard are the worse public employees EVER.Both have Big mouths, no clue what they are talking about and are as UNPROFESSIONAL as anyone I have ever encountered in my 73 years on this Earth. That falls back on employee training. They have made the worse impression on your county as can be made. Horrible. If they worked in the private sector they would have been Fired on the Spot.On Yes, and don't forget Lying Todd while we are at it.Next time a camera comes around....remember there is NO Expectations of privacy In PUBLIC especially with public employees. No permission is needed to film in public areas. When you come out of or invite someone of the Public into your area it becomes public especially if they are carrying a Camera. And PUBLIC BUILDINGS ARE OPEN TO THE PUBLIC...Cameras and all.
Samantha Thornton: I've been waiting for 2 to 3 weeks for a letter about my case and I've tried calling but no one answers and they hang up.
Sara Wells: The people in this building are worthless. Nobody ever returns calls or emails until its too late. No word on my benefits, and my case worker, Rachel, doesn't even check her voicemail. Its been full for 2 weeks.
Infiniti Tucker: they suck always had problems with my case worker morgan she never did her job every time it was the 3 month review could never get a hold of her and i moved out of state in february it’s july been literally waiting on her just to send the paper stating we no longer have a case in michigan so i haven’t been able to get foodstamps because we are always waiting on her and still are!!
