Michele Wagner: I SWEAR!!! The people that answer phones treat you like you are cognitively impaired regardless of how non cognitively impaired you are. They interrupt you & turn around & accuse you of talking over them. Do they believe that everyone that gets Social Services is just some sort of lowlife that deserves no Humanity? They need to be paid according to o their ability to give good customer service! My tax dollars pay your wages!

Beth Bosma: I've been trying to get assistance for a month and a half. First, the phone interview (which was scheduled when I WAS available) was late, and happened when I WASN'T avaialble, so I missed it. I left a message, and she called back the next day, but I didn't get any notice about it. Thankfully, I was available during that time.The case worker said my husband's employer had to fill out a form to prove loss of income. I told them the fax number. We waited until the next day, and his employer hadn't received it. I told the case worker the fax number several times, and the employer never received it. During this process, I sent the case worker several voice messages with the fax number, and I told her they had not received it, after following up with his employer. We got a notice that my husband needed to do a phone interview, so he answered the call when the case worker called, but my husband couldn't hear anyone talking. The call ended, and he never got a phone call back. They should at least try to call back if the person is acting like they can't hear you. Then we got a notice that our case had been closed. I left several messages, and I never received a call back. I ended up having to drive in to the office to pick up the form, and drive to his employer so they could fill out the form. I submitted the form while I was still at his employers office, and I'm still waiting for an answer.I should not have to drive around to get these forms filled out and turned in, when a simple fax would suffice. And a returned phone call would be the minimum reaponse. This is ridiculous.

You would swear that they save lives for a living, or deliver babies instead of sitting behind a desk acting like food stamps is coming from their own personal pockets. I'll teach them customer service 101. I think I need to be on blood pressure medicine after interacting with this lady.

Deborah Zak: What a bunch of bull**** trying to reach anyone at DHS!! I've tried numerous times to reach these "people" by phone,also went right to Whitecloud office to bring paperwork in. The only correspondence came amonth later saying case closed!

Yafreisy Melo: Just went to ask a question about form 6012 and the old blonde lady at the front desk was so rude and racist it was incredible I couldn't even believe it. I just grabbed my papers and left.

Rachael Reed: They asked me to email them proof of my assets, I sent it 5 TIMES on purpose because they always say they didn't get it. My husband is disabled and can no longer work, and my daughters are starving. All the bills and food rest on me. The cost of living has gone up but my pay has not, yet the state wants to steal my food stamps from me. I am sick of being treated this way and being stripped of everything because of their incompetence and because I am not the correct race or color.

Flashy Eclips: This the 3rd time I had an over the phone interview and no call, but yet my case isn’t turned on and Lu so called mailed a letter out saying I missed another over the phone interview like how my phone sitting in my hand the whole time not one ring and I also tried to reach out to her but yeah she checks her voicemail but doesn’t respond or call back I never had this problem in Oakland county but Wayne is a joke, but let it be they families who have to wait to for assistance I bet they make moves for them

Donna Marrina: You can’t reach anyone. You leave messages for caseworker, no response. You reach anyone in Lansing. This is a joke on we are are being treated in Michigan. I can even reach anyone at Legal Aid to get a case started!!! Governor, we need help!

Austin Herig: Any and all people and offices associated with the MDHHS are disgusting sacks of human garbage. They couldn't care less about you and I and it won't change. Save your energy calling you'll get the automated system every time and if you DO manage to get past the automated system with it hanging up you'll get a message that says there are no operators available and then it will hang up.

Colton Bates: Automated system asks you to participate in surveys and if you don’t they just hang up. Completely useless number.
