Gwenavre Chaffee: The one good thing was they gave me a list of other medical supply stores in the Lansing area. Otherwise, unfriendly, unhelpful, staff who are not educated about the products they cary.
A. Jones: Every time I contact them by phone for information, they give bad service They ALWAYS have some excuse or justification for their rude, poor quality service.

Cliff Hanged: Came here asking for knee braces. They didn't have any in size. Order takes almost a month. They referred us to a medical store that was closed and the other one didn't even have braces at all.
Karen Brown: I have seldom encountered a particularly polite employee in all the years I have been going. They just seem truly unhappy to be there. My biggest issue are their new hours of 8-5 Monday through Friday. I guess they feel people who need medical supplies don't have or shouldn't have full-time jobs. They were pretty busy from 5-6 and on Saturdays when that was an option so lack of business wasn't the problem. The solution given to rectify the problem was to call in first so I wouldn't have to wait as long as if that somehow meant that I didn't have to still take time off work to go there?
McCreary's Healthy Homes: I’m not sure about other peoples experiences. I had the best experience today. They lady that helped me (I wish I would have asked her name) was very kind and went over and above to give me helpful advice with my insurance coverages and showed me how to properly use the devices. It’s SO helpful to a person that’s never been through an experience like this before. Thank you for your help!!!!
Jim Greene: They were very good before moving to Frandor. What happened? My CPAP orders always short of parts and have to reuse old parts. Yet my insurance pays for COMPLETE replacements.

I'm really sorry to read comments on what other people have gone through, but none of it surprises me after being treated like I was bothering them by simply walking in the store.
Susan Klusman: Horrible experience. I was in the area, residing 45 minutes away, called in advance to confirm I could pick up test strips, that I didn’t need a refill from the doctor. Once there, the representative said otherwise and that strips were not approved with a cgm (meter). In providing information to assist her in verifying my records, she abruptly stopped me. I said I wanted to work with someone else, then ultimately asked for a manager. She said she wouldn’t. The rude attitude was beyond unprofessional. This is not a representative who should be working with people, especially those with medical conditions. I have never had an issue with Sparrow Medical, but this was such a abysmal experience that I will NEVER go back and encourage others to do the same .
Cowboy Wong: I was getting my diabetes test strips here for many years. They moved to Frandor and now they say I don’t exist in there records. They started a new account and then gave me the wrong strips. Went back to return them and the women said she has been 15 years and they have never seen my meter that they sold me. Later looked on the strips and the picture has my meter right on the wrong strips. I like it when your customer service people are saying your luring when you have been coming there for 5 years. I bet they will not be around long on there new space treating people so badly.

Nature's Cream: Go to Hart medical supply instead. Unless you want your loved one to slowly suffocate while waiting for their life sustaining medical device because this place has no idea how to fill a prescription. I called a total of 5 times over 3 days trying to get my husband's nebulizer machine prescription filled. I had the doctor send it twice with the exact information they were asking for. They kept saying they didn't see it or it wasn't done correctly, etc.. over and over. Meanwhile my husband is struggling to breath. No attempt on their part to figure out what their issue was or why they couldn't find the information that was definitely sent over by my doctor. Twice. Completely incompetent.
Brian Raymond: Before I start the Cpap section is great they are the best at what they do!What remains is a far cry from acceptable.Shop around their are better options than this organization trying to intimidate you and ram it down your throat.Between changing to products for winter that are actually rated for summer (just to save money I am guessing) looks more foolish evertime I think about it.Now Sparrow keeps throwing these waivers in front of me to sign regardless if it is for lab work or medical supplies, stating that I will pay for the items or services if my insurance denies my claim.If you sign it what do you think your insurance is going to decide about paying it when you just agreed to pay for regardless.

Shanna Lapinsky: Just spoke to the rudest customer service agent. Nothing bothers me more than when I start the conversation off in a friendly manner and say “how are you today?” And there’s silence on the other end! Anyway, I called to see if my prescription for a walker was still valid and she told me no without even looking up my information. I asked how she knew that without looking it up and she said “I’m just telling you”. Completely dismissive and rude.
Jessica Vazquez: I've waiting over 14 months for my blood pressure monitor and it seems like Madison would have contacted a supervisor to move this along and figure out why Laurie at your Lansing Michigan office still hasn't gotten on the phone to call my doctor's office. All Laurie has done is send a fax a few times. This is ridiculous. I could have serious problems now because of this. I'm supposed to check my blood pressure home at least 3 times a day. That way the doctor can determine my next course of action. He can't do that until he has a logg of at least a few weeks of my blood pressure. I filed a complaint last week and today. 14 months is long enough and I'm tired of calling Hart over and to have them call my doctor. I'm not happy.

A. Jones: Years ago this pharmacy used to GREAT. Dan the pharmacist really knew his stuff! The owner retired and sold it, and since then it has gone DOWNHILL. Today I was directed to them as being a "specialty pharmacy". I needed to find a place that sold a certain test kit my doctor ordered. I was greeted by a VERY RUDE young woman in the pharmacy who said they were NOT a specialty pharmacy, but that the Pharmacist told her that "Assensia" (sp?) on the west side of town was one. I asked her where they were, and she said, "I don't know". I asked her how to spell the name, "I don't know". As a typical young clueless person, she told me to "Just speak the name into your phone." I told her I don't have an Iphone, I was calling from a LAND LINE. She was stumped, and basically told me it wasn't her problem! I looked the word "Assensia" up on the internet, and it was ASSENSION Pharmacy. and not ASSENSIA. I called them, and they also said they were NOT a specialty pharmacy either. The hunt goes on for a "specialty pharmacy" in this area that carries the test kit my doctor ordered. Once again Lansing lives up to it's reputation for being a backwater town!

It’s such a refreshing change after 13 years of Chicago and San Francisco pharmacies. 😀The pharmacy staff is so incredibly helpful, knowledgeable and friendly—I’m always greeted personally, with a smile. It’s nice to receive a call from a person when prescriptions are ready...almost always same day. Also a huge bonus, they offer delivery—even to the west side—free of charge (though a tip is always good instant karma).
Jen Melendez: My scripts were faxed over Thursday afternoon to be delivered on Friday. They didn't read the script and sent them to an old address. It's now Monday after 6:00 an still no medications. I have heart meds, blood pressure meds, and insulin that I have to have. My Dr ordered my diabetic supplies and they came through the mail and arrived today, but still no meds. I need suggestions for a pharmacy that delivers when needed, not when they feel like getting to it.
