University Club Fitness Center & Spa: what do users think?
Quos: Only 4 stars cause you get random charges occasionally and its hard to argue. My mom never went here and i paid cash but she still would get charged sometimes, money never got refunded. Not just a one time thing either
Terra Luckett: Never replied to my inquiry
Marsha McCoy-Pfister: Resort style fitness center and pool. Small personal workout classes. New outdoor pool. Desk staff call you by name.
Dave Barnett: Amazing staff and a really nice facility. It is expensive if you're looking for simply a fitness center, but the trainers are great to work with and the place has a very relaxed atmosphere.

M43 Fitness: what do users think?
Glutz: This gym is amazing. Seriously, no complaints at all. Owner is super nice. Equipment is great, large selection. Atmosphere is great and everyone is welcoming.
Piper Gasaway: Came into M43 in a pinch, i am out of town and an oly lifter (hard to find places for me) was suppose to go to a crossfit gym but left me hanging. Scott helped me super fast and was kind! The facilty is soooo clean which is a plus! Thanks again!
Kyle Ihn: Scott has cultivated a great fitness community at M43.
Patrik Moriarty (Lord Cholo): Great Facility, staff, and experience. For anyone that is in any stage of their fitness journey!
Linzee Mack: Joining M43 fitness was the best decision I made. I told Scott I was extremely nervous about starting my work out journey after not working out for years but he made me feel so welcomed. Everybody is so nice and will help if you need it. The environment is seriously just so amazing and the gym is always clean! If you’re looking for a new gym M43 is it 😊 Also the peanut butter balls!!! Lol I love them.
Ian Varquez: Simply Put this is the best gym in Lansing. Best Trainers, best equipment, great staff.Scott is also just a great dude, if you need something/ have suggestions he will listen. He gave me a free trial and answered any questions I had. As soon as I tried the gym for 1 day I knew this was the gym for me.If you are looking to compete in powerlifting or strongman and live in lansing, you need to come here. TJ is a great coach and you will have all if not most of the equipment you need. I have no regrets joining this gym!
Josh Rutkowski: Management is extremely friendly and the gym itself is in very good condition. High quality equipment and plenty of space for the size. The only negative I could come across is their lack of machines, but with the limited area I can see why they decided to mainly use free weight.
Bailey Slater: Love this gym! Good energy inside, quality equipment & knowledgeable/friendly trainers!
Victoria Locke: Simply the best gym in the Lansing area. The workouts are tough, and the facility has everything I could ever need!
Scott Burnett: Great place to work out. Excellent trainers. The owner Scott is extremely helpful. Very friendly gym. Just about anything you would want in a workout facility is Avila le to you! Highly recommend. Check it out!!
Gage Clark: Clean welcoming gym for all levels.
Sarah Prieskorn: I’ve gone to M43 for a few years now and I absolutely swear by it. It has everything you need if you want to build functional strength. The owner, Scott, even developed a training app for those who don’t have a plan going into the gym. M43 is great for people of skill levels and starting points, but it’s not so big like Planet Fitness where it is impossible to establish any sort of community. The community feel at M43 is amazing. It’s generally always the same faces and even in asking random people for a spot, or for advice, the vibe is always amicable and inviting. They also have wonderful trainers there, with a large variety in training knowledge.
Chris Weiss: Thanks for the drop it Scott and the whole M43 staff! Great gym, my kind of place! No bubble gum fitness here, just good people looking to create the best version of themselves. Hard workers and good vibes all around!
Mackenzie Fox: Love how clean and how nice everyone is. You can tell that the owner and trainers really care about their clients and customers!
Joseph Sambaer: M43 fitness is an incredible fitness center with great trainers and members. Everyone is very kind and engaging. Owners - Scott and Arie are fantastic to work with. Scott has made an incredible impact in my life due to his concern for my health and wellbeing. I am forever grateful to him. Highly recommend!!
Joe Janecke: Positive:ProfessionalismAwesome place to workout. Clean and organized. The fitness app is great for guiding you thru your workouts and tracking your progress. Highly recommended!
Seko Sichinga: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,QualityLove love love this gym! Everyone there is great and so friendly and Scott is an amazing trainer! I’m excited for my new journey/lifestyle with M43 Fitness!!
Randi Martinez: This is a great space that is welcoming to individuals of all fitness levels with different fitness goals. As a person who has always been motivated to do cardio but not strength training, the programs developed by Scott and his team have helped me become consistent in my training.
brandon crabill: 1. Very clean, modern, and well maintained. 2. Incredibly welcoming and expert level training staff. 3. Literally, has everything you need from weekend warrior and athlete, to someone just looking to get healthy again.Did I mention everyone is actually nice? LolCannot recommend this place enough!!!
Spencer Dillingham: Great place for whatever workout you need! I use it for powerlifting and the equipment meets specifications for most federations! Overall great atmosphere and great people lead to a great workout
Tully Chapman: M43 is the best gym in Lansing. They have the best equipment and the unlimited access allows me prioritize my fitness on my time. Also getting programming from the app has made it so I can go in and train without thinking about what I’m going do that day!

Crunch Fitness - East Lansing: what do users think?
Ryan Kelley: GM Joey was very kind and professional. Gym clean, well-equipped.
Reza Beha: Has all the important equipment, though light on bikes. Drinking fountain has been down for maintenance for a few weeks, but they're providing bottled water. Great price, but very busy as are all good gyms these days.
robloxgamer aka roblox lover: Good
Marlena Klimkiewicz: The only way to cancel your membership is to physically go inside this location. Very inconvenient and poor customer service.
Glutz: Amazing gym. I always lose a lot of weight whenever I workout here because the drinking fountains never work. Im usually like 5 pounds of water weight lighter by the end of my lift. I start getting the spins though and see all these squiggly lines.
cynthia balcom: Energetic place
dano ley: So dope
Quinn Alexander: There are several pros and cons to this gym, but unfortunately, the cons outweigh the pros. Their drinking fountain is frequently broken and then they charge their members for water bottles. Besides having workout equipment, having a drinking fountain is an essential part of any gym. The least they could do is give the water bottles to their members for free. I’ve also noticed they often run out of paper towel (to wipe the machines down) and they don’t refill them. Same with in the bathroom. I also noticed the presence of ants in their tanning bed rooms. My last complaint is their class schedule. During the peak workout times (after work, around 5 pm), they’ll plan workout classes utilizing the only free/open areas in the gym. This makes the main areas even more crowded and essentially a nightmare to navigate. Good luck getting any equipment. I like this gym, but I don’t love it. There’s a lot of room for improvement.
Contractors 7 dotcom: Not a good intake experience. Left and spent way more elsewhere not to have to deal with unprofessional desk clerk...
Mr Handsome: It's decent but for sure overpriced.
Joseph Beasley: Very clean Gym!!Excellent staff + leadership!!
Mmeii Mar: It is a super wow place 💪🏻
santhosh k: I am a crunch member for a couple of months, one of the worst experiences I have ever had in my entire life... the fountain in the gym doesn't work for a week. when we ask when it's going to be fixed they become rude and suggest buying water bottles from their vending machine so that they can make more money... the staff was very rude and angry...absolutely pathetic people .. not humans just money making machines ...
santhosh kumar: I am a crunch member for a couple of months, one of the worst experiences I have ever had in my entire life... the fountain in the gym doesn't work for a week. when we ask when it's going to be fixed they become rude and suggest buying water bottles from their vending machine so that they can make more money... the staff was very rude and angry...absolutely pathetic people .. not humans just money making ...
Emily Tetreau: fix the bikes
Madison Roberts: Nice place for a workout when it’s cold outside
Kyle Taylor: Pretty awful experience if you try to go anytime other than the morning. Almost every machine has a wait or is broken. Also be prepared for groups of frat bros taking 30+ minutes at machines/squat racks. The gym isnt very large (compared to other crunch locations) and they will section off a huge portion of the gym for fitness classes during peak hours, making it even more crowded.
Joseph DeLisle: The only issue I have with this location besides the number of people who go between 3 and 7 pm is the DBs are not labeled correctly so the end up being all over the place. You can't tell if they are being used or if you can't find them.
Paul Stiles: I would give a negative star if I could. My daughter signed up for a trial month and cancelled I writing after 30 days. Since then I have been charged every month to my visa. I have disputed 9 fraudulent charges since. Visa said they even change a letter in their name to override the block I had on my visa. They an absolute crooks!!!! Go anywhere else.
Geoffroy Laumet: Good quality for a reasonable price

Court One Athletic Clubs: what do users think?
YNS Solo: Website is no e. I got the info I needed. I will be there soon
Robert Hopkins: Clean. Great availability of courts. Facility is mostly all newer equipment.
Taisha García: Great place for playing basketball in winter.
william fich: Been going here for years and the rules have changed a lot over the years to revolve around other guests and play favorites,I've seen grown men get in fights and lead to someone bleeding from his head before as well as grown men trying to get into fights with children and calling the kids very vulgar words even though it's the grown men causing the problems most of the time from what I've seen and the staff are rude a lot of the times
xia jia: I like to play pickleball here, but the floor is a little too slippery. I think it is not safe to pay pickleball. Especially we have many senior players.
Mackenzie B: I have never left a review before, and I feel an obligation to review my experience at Court One. We called ahead before driving across town to come play pickleball. Over the phone no details were shared that all participants over 18 needed to present ID. When we arrived, most of our party did not have IDs since we drove together. The man behind the desk was highly unprofessional and rude in stating without an ID, there’s no entry. Fair enough rule for liability, however this should be communicated clearly on the website and over the phone. We were very surprised to find out the man behind the desk was the manager given his poor customer service and arrogant attitude. The rude responses back to others’ reviews reinforce and reflect the poor customer service we experienced. Court One lost our business.
Katelyn Bontrager: If I could give this place zero stars I would, but that’s not an option. Manager was rude, unprofessional, and down right degrading. When we called they didn’t say anything about bringing ids for non members, but when we got there they said we had to have them. We were willing to sign waivers, but he says that ids are required and that they just figured everyone would have their ids on them. Was very condescending about the whole thing. Unprofessional and very unhelpful. Good way to make sure people never come back.
Alexa Henslee: Extremely rude customer service.
Nick Bontrager: Heads up!!! Requires an ID from all people before playing pickleball on their courts. We called ahead of time before we made a 30 minute drive to play and the person that answered the phone did not let us know this was a requirement to enter. All 6 of our players were willing to sign waivers to help ease their liability concerns but that wasn’t good enough. The manager was rude and downright unfriendly about the whole situation. Will not be back.
Paul Chung: It was nice to use basketball court and Since October Theres lot of senior peopls using basketball court for pickel ball There were more than 10ish people. Please limit the pickle ball player using basketball court.Update: They me option of terminating contract without penalty and refund december membership. I liked the court and other gym equipment.
Ardhi Subowo: They call and they say they can do non members on the phone and they lie saying that’s not their number.Shady customer service wouldn’t recommend
Richard Lehman: Really enjoy playing tennis here.
Ginger Metevier: Grew up here and met my husband here!
August Burchard: Clean, well maintained facilities with kind staff. Maddie and Gracie were stupendous.
Scott Foreman: They are working hard with the members during these troubled times, can't wait to get back to normal !
Melissa Spadafore: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,Quality
Lori Chapman: Very nice. So clean. Hardly ever crowded.
Shelbie Lynn: Have not been to the place in over a year. They say they will stop charging me $9 month to “hold” my membership. Then the next month I am charged $9 every month. Would not recommend anyone who doesn’t plan on going to this gym for life to sign up for a membership.
Statie R: The treatment by management and staff at this location is becoming unbearable. I can't take my mask off even on the sidelines, but if I cross over to the pickle ball side I can watch without my mask 🤦🏼‍♂️ we have 47 people in our private FB group🧐 that we use for communicating about when we want to play together. We were playing 3-5 days a week prior to the pandemic. We Just Want To Play Ball and this is how it's going to be. Maybe it's time for a change?
Kody Kokx: Unless you want to get COVID I would not even come close to this place! They have anywhere between 5-20 people playing pickleball not wearing any type of mask and no concerns for the general publics health. In addition- the reply & information provided below is false- I have evidence of 15/20 people using the same ball playing pickleball with ZERO mask- meanwhile myself & 3 others playing basketball have our mask on... local law enforcement will be notified by the others to ensure safety protocols are met by these business’
Andrew Mcelfresh: Nice well kept area. The pool is nice and clean

Sparrow Michigan Athletic Club: what do users think?
Brian Klotz: Love the MAC
Susan Martin: It's where we go for our medical doctor. There are many different things there such as medical equipment fitting, some rehab programs I think. Not sure what else. However the building itself is terrible if you're in a wheelchair. Threshold in is so unlevel that we had a terrible time trying to get over it. Several HEAVY interior doors do not have automatic openers?! If you don't have another person with you you'd have to call someone for assistance. And the doors with sensor openers don't usually work. Not disabled accessible in my opinion.
Noah Landon: Amazing. I’m a GAC member so I get one free day a week here, and my friend goes to MSU so whenever I visit I have the opportunity to use this facility. It’s massive, bigger than GAC. Staff is great, and I’ve never had a problem in the dozen or so times I’ve been. Super clean, awesome facilities, perfect gym.
mohammad torabi: This place is always nice. The only issue I have has been the fact that they reduced their hours during COVID and used it as an excuse to never go back to the original hours. When you message the management they are careless and basically respond with we don’t care what you think type of deal.
Chase: I am sharing this approximately 3 years after I graduated from State. There are times I still think about this gym. I live in Los Angeles and nothing compares. I love and miss you MAC.
Steve Underwood: Good indoor track
Brendan Watson: Winter 2023 update: Facilities are often in disrepair, closed, etc. When you call the club ahead of going and ask about specific facilities you're told they open, only to arrive and find them closed. The locker-room/restroom facilities are often not stocked with basics, have overflowing trash, and so disgustingly dirty that my children don't want to use them. All you hear from "management" are constant excuses while things get worse and worse.Spring 2022 update: I visited the club as a guest. The MAC hasn't gotten any better about maintaining the club. Bathroom trash was overflowing, no shampoo in shower, and could have written my name in dirt on the floor. When I raised these concerns with membership office, staff was defensive and argumentative. New leadership apparently is leading the club down the same, warn path downhill.Previous review: MAC has gone way down hill. Cleaning before COVID was atrocious. Now during COVID they want to force members back to the club or charge them a "hold" fee of $28/month?? This is what the club considers "customer service." Even when COVID is behind us, it's going to take a lot to convince me that the increasingly overpriced membership is worth it to return.
Marie Dotson: Great classes
Richard Gilchrist: Unfortunately I need to change my review. The MAC is no longer my happy place. I wrote an honest review to the annual member survey and got slammed, getting told my opinion didn't matter. I just don't understand why you do a survey if you don't appreciate the answers.I am joining the ranks of the long term members that go and complain about everything, until I find a new club to join.
Michael Mumaugh: On the pricey side for membership but worth it if you have kids interested in group sport activities. The coaches are great.
Amanda Zhang: I had my membership since 2018. Since pandemic, I moved out of state and I keep my virtual membership to connect with MAC coaches since they are the awesome. At the beginning, it didn't run well due to Wifi connection issues. It seems this year it's getting better. They use Fitness on Demand to manage their online lessons. However, it ran into issues there such as missing online lessons posted. When it happened, I called MAC and the customer service can't help. It was terrible with today's experience. The person answering my call does not understand virtual membership at all. He kept telling me there is a problem with my membership that he can't add me to class reservation. I explained I'm not asking for in person lesson reservation. It's for online lesson. I spent 30 mins to explain and he finally told me he can't help. It's completely waste my time.
Mary Ellen Lowe: Even though it's a busy place, we always find parking. Whether it's swimming, working out or playing ball, there's something for everyone.
Jude Hoogterp: Karen lady kicked our team off the balcony while watching our team compete in the state championship. Disrespectful. 😟
shera Brown: Very nice staff
Helena Bezant Niblett: You must use the booking app at midnight if you want to book a tennis court for rec play after work. ( 5 pm - 8 pm) Coaches often block out the courts, leaving just three courts or less for members to use at peak times. Impossible to have a regular weekly game. #tennisplayer
Heather Harrison: As the only hospital-based health club in Michigan, the MAC claims to be committed to improving the health of its community. While wheelchair users may be able to get through the door, the pool and equipment are largely inaccessible. Additionally, much of the facility has narrow pathways with sharp turns that are difficult to maneuver in a wheelchair. Though the pool does have a lift, it still requires a certain amount of mobility to use. This restricts many people from using the pool even though it is a great form of exercise that allows wheelchair users a far greater range of motion. The facility used to have a far more accessible lift several years ago (in fact, the tracks from the previous lift are still visible in the pool area). Despite being confronted with these concerns, the management still has no concerns about increasing the accessibility of the facility.
Denise Houck: So disappointed. When we joined we hoped to have the grandkids enjoy the slide pictured. It was under repair for the first 9 months. Finally thought today would be the day. Kids were looking forward to it as was I. Nope. No slide on the weekends, short staff . We enjoy the club most of the time but could be better.
Sean Gregory: Amazing amenities, and great staff.
Deanna Lundy: Great I work there
Joel Stephens: The Michigan Athletic Club is easily the best club to come to in the greater Lansing area. These reviews saying that the club is"dirty" and that "you can write your name in dirt" are lies. The club has made great strides in member safety and cleanliness. Like most places they appear to have some staffing issues that make some things difficult at times like the pools (Friday 5/13 prime example), but they're working on it and it's been an improvement since they've reopened. Aside from that, classes are great, equipment is clean and easy to use. Staff are polite and helpful. Great place!
Kaitlin Jackson: My family loves the M.A.C.! My husband told me about this place he use to attend and love awhile back Then one day my son had a birthday party to attend here and we have been here ever since All the people here are amazing. The classes are great. Great friend have been made here. The restaurant inside is delicious. Smoothies are yummy.

Powerhouse Gym 24/7: what do users think?
Kacey Markarian: Great gym, great staff. Been here for almost two years now. Facilities are generally clean and while it can get very busy at peak hours, I have never had a problem with getting my lift in.
Connor Albrecht: Gym is not well maintained broken equipment is not an unusual thing here. Took over a month to fix toilet in men’s bathroom. If you’re a student at MSU you’re better off lifting at IM west.
Omar Canales: Horrible customer service, I was yelled at for having someone with m and not understanding the policy on guest, if it’s such a issue maybe they should hire someone for nights, not yell at high schoolers and make threats to intimidate them. Only reason I come here is because it’s 24 hr, but after that experience most likely will be dropping my membership due to the lack of customer service and the experience I had IF YOU CAN GO SOMEWHERE ELSE NOT WORTH IT EQUIPMENT OUT OF DATE, DIRTY, WORTH IT IF YOU CANT GET ANYWHERE ELSE ONLY
akagucciano: This Gym is opened 24/7. It has more of an old school feel to it(vs planet fitness). They have great equipment and heavier weight than Anytime Fitness or Planet Fitness. The staff was very friendly. Also, a good mix of students (MSU)and community folk.
Sam Ansaldi: Great facility! Friendly professional staff and a welcoming environment.
Laura Harvey: This place had a good environment and many machines to work with, but there are consistent struggles to find an open squat rack. Also I did not appreciate the customer service when a person said “theres nothing we can do about that” after charging an additional month after going in to cancel the membership in the month prior. Maybe this is common gym practice, but I was unaware that this was going to be charged again and I’m not in town to use it. Kinda unfortunate way to take money from their customers :(
Wireman Neo: Great, *great gym !! Especially for the price.
robert henderson: Good variety of weights and equipment, but as you can imagine from the location, it's very crowded. Or I should say it can get very crowded at peak times
Niccolò Seilo: Love this powerhouse and I’ve made so many awesome relationships here. The only thing missing is a straight pull up bar. They have pull up bars that are separated but not a single consecutive pull up bar anywhere. I want to practice my muscle ups but I can’t do this with the separated pull up bars at the squat racks at all. I strongly recommend getting one because I really want to perform this exercise at my favorite gym. I literally can’t perform this exercise without one and I’m surprised that a gym as good as this one doesn’t have a single straight pull up bar.
Jeremy Sawyers: Awesome staff, great place to work out. They have everything you need.
Nick Gargurevich: one of the best local gyms.
Ian Varquez: Gym is great for Bodybuilding and Powerlifting but....When I first moved to East Lansing this was the gym I chose to go to. Close to my apartment, lots of equipment, and Open 24 hours. But as time went on I realized this Gym was not meeting my needs. I like to compete in Strongman and Powerlifting and like to train functional strength. And I think this gym is missing some of that. The Functional Training Area is quite small and equipment wise is not that varied in my opinion. For someone who likes and needs to do farmer walks, and sled work there's not much space to play with. Sure there is a long strip where you "could" do farmer walks but depending on the time of day you go this varies if you can do it or not. This is because this long strip is between the Dumbbells and Machines and if its busy there are going to be people in the way and last thing I want to do is run over someone.Functional equipment that would be nice to have would be, Famer Handles, Heavier Kettlebells, TRX/Suspension ropes, a Log, sled, and an axel. I understand this gym caters more towards powerlifters and bodybuilders so I can't blame the gym for not having those sorts of things. But for me personally it is a turn off for me.The gym is relatively clean and I can't complain honestly but for some reason people just don't return their weights. I used to come early in the morning and weight would be everywhere, I know its not exactly the gyms fault for this but a little more of a push to get it's members to put their weights away would be nice.I have had trouble with some of the equipment, mainly the deadlift platforms and the incline benches. one of the deadlift platforms is not level and it's really annoying when setting up for the deadlift. I have also had the incline benches go down one level before starting a rep or finishing a rep and I think that can be really dangerous if I was in the middle of the rep. Everything else has worked as expected.I have honestly moved on to a new gym that better caters to my needs and if you like functional strength training that aren't as crowded when the MSU students come around M43 and the training Factories will fit your needs much better. Unfortunately through my own fault I am stuck to this gym through a 1 year contract so I am still paying for this gym when it just doesn't fit my needs. If I could sum up my review I would sayPros:24 hoursShowersLots of MachinesDecent amount of Squat Racks and Deadlift PlatformsFriendly StaffGood for BodybuildingGood for PowerliftingCons:Lacking in the Functional Area and Equipment DepartmentYearly contract AgreementsMembers can lack respectBusy during the school yearSome of the equipment could use some careNot Great for StrongmanNot Great for CrossFit
Lawton scarlett: Great place to workout, friendly staff, good equipment, plenty of cardio machines.
Basher Ghaleb: I feel like I got scammed for an extra $30 because of their bogus cancellation policy.
Arianna Paa: staff generally unhelpful - unable to answer questions about account and billing without manager, poor communication. good amount of dumbbells/equipment.
Merideth Michael: Powerhouse is disgusting. Many do not wipe the machines or weights down after using them, and the floors and mirrors have residue. Lack of compassion and customer service from the manager and workers. I am glad my membership ended.
Joel Van Douser: A very complete gym and a very help staff of trainers. Highly recommended for athlete's of any age, size shape or fitness level.
Wesley Nankervis: Plenty of cardio equipment and benches (for dumbbell and barbell), 3 or 4 squat racks, and a wide variety of machines. They also have 3 platforms for power lifting. All of it high quality. The staff is helpful and the people working out are, for the most part, courteous and knowledgeable. Been going here for well over a year and I’m very happy with it!
Tysen Matlock: I love powerhouse and the staff. They are always very helpful anytime I have a question. The gym is always clean.
Ahmed Alyasi: I don’t like the way when they renew my membership without asking me if I want to complete ( renew my membership) with them. I asked them for refund because I don’t want to renew my membership but they use “ system “ as excuse for no refund. I feel like I’m stuck in it.
Kevin McCormick Jr: Awesome and friendly staff, never had a problem with them. Gym itself is nice with loads of equipment. I never find myself waiting too long for a rack/machine to be open if the gym is busy. While they couldn’t do a direct membership transfer from the Clarkston location, Steve was able to cutoff about half of the startup fee for me when I joined the EL location in 2021 which I appreciated a lot! -Kevin McCormick

Jessica Carpenter: I LOVE working out here. The programs are easy to follow and I do not feel out place. I have not worked out in gyms much so I was apprehensive at first. I feel comfortable and the programs are designed for me and my fitness level. I am pushed to work my hardest which is exactly the kind of attention I need when going to a personal training gym.
Hannah Marsh: Coach Carl is the best! I learned so much while training here and always felt welcome and never any judgement. It can be hard to find a gym environment that really embraces a 'come as you are' attitude but I certainly felt that during my sessions here. The small group setting is really a nice way to workout and still socialize a little, all the members have been so nice, too. Would highly recommend Coach Carl to anyone looking to learn more about lifting & corrective training.
Julie Ruark: I feel well taken care of and inspired to pursue continual improvement at I.Q. Fit. I am already seeing tangible results from the accountability and structure they provide! I've reversed weight gain and I'm enjoying more energy and strength. Thanks IQ Fit!
mike markey: The only "gym" I have ever truly enjoyed as a member. I have been a client for 3+ years and have moved from weight loss to strength conditioning over that time. The results have been exceptional. The small team "personal" training is just that. Programs are tailored to your individual goals and needs, proper techniques are taught and monitored, and "wellness" is ingrained I particularly enjoy Coach Carl and his insistence on pushing me and creating "challenging" programs. I have never been so enjoyable exhausted as I have after some of his workouts - Thanks Carl! I have and will continue to highly recommend IQfit to anyone who wants to enhance their health and fitness!
Christine Shearer: IQ Fitness, has been a God send to me, especially through COVID. They didVirtual works outs with us 5 days a week.. . And even had classes at local parks. The owners and coaches are top notch, highly educated on the correct form, and amazing with injury recovery. I highly recommend IQ Fitness if your serious about getting in shape and healthy.
Emily Huening: As a lifelong outdoor exerciser and cardio lover, I never thought that I would actually look forward to lifting weights/working out at a gym. This is the only program I've ever stuck with for longer than a few weeks, and I truly enjoy coming in each time. I have definitely become stronger, feel healthier, and am confident that with each exercise routine, I am doing everything correctly and not going to injure myself. The atmosphere is wonderful - I sometimes even leave with a few new jokes :D
Nancy Noaker: I am so grateful to have found IQ Fit! Working with Jason to identify areas i need to improve has put me on the right path to not only lose weight but get stronger and feel great. The work out routine is the best I have ever experienced and developed just for me. I know what I need to do and have someone there to help me every step of the way. IQ fit is one of the best decisions I have ever made.
Jay Makowski: Overall, excellent place that fits my needs and goals. I wanted to join a place where it was more personal than commercial and this is a great place for it. I have been a member for two+ years and have really seen results! Starting with weight loss then moving to muscle building, I am happy. Coach Carl is wonderful to work with, as are the owners (as was Coach Max). The gym side is great, I have not tried the other part of the business which is currently developing and growing. The times the owner, Jason, has personally coached, he really knows his stuff and is exacting with movements ensuring low risk of injury and top notch results! I am happy to support a local family-owned business rather than a commercial for-profit mill. The best part is the members, who make it feel like being on a great team when you work out with the same folks! Kudos to all who hustle and grind day in and day out here!
Big Rob: Great personal gym. Really recommend it if you are in the Lansing area. Very attentive and knowledgeable staff and nice equipment. Really caters the workout to the trainee. They offer holistic approaches as well in order help you achieve a better self. Schedule a consultation and check them out!
Mike Schotter: Will update later, took only 1 year to reply, u r right. U never worked with me, but you worked with someone i know and from what i understand, jason is a person who is a control freak from his female employees "must wear spandex" pants to his so called being a Dr but without a degree to him insisting on his patients must buy dietary products from him. But most of all, he really demeans his female employees. If you go there may i suggest doing your homework in the most diligent mannor. Btw I did not give a 1.5 star I gave a 1 star thats only because I could not give a lower star review. If your wife or husband goes here please watch Jason and his male staff, also ask yourself "do i trust my daughter, my wife, or significant other with this person?" Please read further in reviews. You will see example of his demeaning twards his staff.
Andrew Radin: Positive:Quality
Mary Jane Bornemann: I have been a member of IQ for 16 years. They have kept me healthy and strong. I am 70 years old and can do 15 - 20 push-ups and do not take any medications. Jason helps me with my diet, tells me what supplements to take and works on my muscles when I overwork them. Thanks Jason, you are an awesome natropathic doctor with the goal to help as many people as you can.
Corrine Higley: Negative interactions with owner do not outweigh positives of coaching staff (who are overworked and underappreciated).Perhaps I should title this review "manipulative owner continues to gaslight me and tell me my experience is invalid". It is entirely inaccurate to state the coach left to take a different opportunity - the coach in question is currently cleaning carpets because he is being blackballed from the industry by the owner of this facility, despite being the most experienced and qualified coach on staff. How toxic must an environment be for someone to want out that badly, knowing they would not be able to work in their field? For clarity, my main issue with the owner of this facility started with his response to my personal discomfort with the coach hired to replace the one who left. Owner's response basically stated that they were desperate and that I should just deal with it, or not come in as often anymore to avoid seeing the new hire.
magic90015: I was surprised when I went in No one was wering mask the employee told me they have different air system{what ever that mean) so they sont have to wear one if ur on that side. Ans if u want to wear mask u can work in other side where there were no one. Lol
Lee Mullen: Moved on to train elsewhere after 2 years.
Sharon Civils: IQ is a good way to get your entire mind, your body problems and mental view on the right track. Also you will be taught how to eat healthy. You will receive a personalized training program developed specifically for you and you Alone. Your body problems such as bad knees, shoulders or legs doesn't matter what your problem is it will be addressed immediately. The staff are friendly smart and attentive. Jason is a born cutting edge leader in this intellect meets health and weight loss arena.
Jill Sandborn: Always welcoming with encouraging words and a positive environment. I started going here back at the end of January and normally go 4x week. I have lost weight and fat and gained muscle and strength. Thank you to Jason, coaches and staff.
Stacey Kelley: This place is great! Trainers are knowledgeable and friendly. It’s like you are part of the family. Classes are fun and high energy! Love going to the morning workouts!! Jason McCammon is a wealth of knowledge on fitness and nutrition!
Yvette Collins: Great atmosphere. Great coaches.
Jadi Finley: IQ Fit is a great gym for beginners like me! The Coaches are not only knowledgeable, but they genuinely desire to invest in the people they are working with and celebrate even the smallest of changes. I love supporting this locally owned business and can honestly say that they have had (and are continuing to have) a lasting impact upon my life.
Carla White: I have lost over 40 pounds since I joined IQ. It is wonderful to be nearly 70 years old and feel great. The workouts are tough and make me strong so I can run and play with my grandchildren. The trainers are great. Currently, Tyler is the morning trainer. He is energetic, enthusiastic, attentive and makes me work hard. The workouts are specifically designed to meet each individual's needs based on assessment of abilities and goals. Jason has worked with me on nutrition and done restorative sessions for my posture. The gym is clean and well equipped. There are many opportunities for self improvement and the atmosphere is encouraging and comfortable. I can't imagine a better place to work out.
