M43 Fitness: what do users think?
Glutz: This gym is amazing. Seriously, no complaints at all. Owner is super nice. Equipment is great, large selection. Atmosphere is great and everyone is welcoming.
Piper Gasaway: Came into M43 in a pinch, i am out of town and an oly lifter (hard to find places for me) was suppose to go to a crossfit gym but left me hanging. Scott helped me super fast and was kind! The facilty is soooo clean which is a plus! Thanks again!
Kyle Ihn: Scott has cultivated a great fitness community at M43.
Patrik Moriarty (Lord Cholo): Great Facility, staff, and experience. For anyone that is in any stage of their fitness journey!
Linzee Mack: Joining M43 fitness was the best decision I made. I told Scott I was extremely nervous about starting my work out journey after not working out for years but he made me feel so welcomed. Everybody is so nice and will help if you need it. The environment is seriously just so amazing and the gym is always clean! If you’re looking for a new gym M43 is it 😊 Also the peanut butter balls!!! Lol I love them.
Ian Varquez: Simply Put this is the best gym in Lansing. Best Trainers, best equipment, great staff.Scott is also just a great dude, if you need something/ have suggestions he will listen. He gave me a free trial and answered any questions I had. As soon as I tried the gym for 1 day I knew this was the gym for me.If you are looking to compete in powerlifting or strongman and live in lansing, you need to come here. TJ is a great coach and you will have all if not most of the equipment you need. I have no regrets joining this gym!
Josh Rutkowski: Management is extremely friendly and the gym itself is in very good condition. High quality equipment and plenty of space for the size. The only negative I could come across is their lack of machines, but with the limited area I can see why they decided to mainly use free weight.
Bailey Slater: Love this gym! Good energy inside, quality equipment & knowledgeable/friendly trainers!
Victoria Locke: Simply the best gym in the Lansing area. The workouts are tough, and the facility has everything I could ever need!
Scott Burnett: Great place to work out. Excellent trainers. The owner Scott is extremely helpful. Very friendly gym. Just about anything you would want in a workout facility is Avila le to you! Highly recommend. Check it out!!
Gage Clark: Clean welcoming gym for all levels.
Sarah Prieskorn: I’ve gone to M43 for a few years now and I absolutely swear by it. It has everything you need if you want to build functional strength. The owner, Scott, even developed a training app for those who don’t have a plan going into the gym. M43 is great for people of skill levels and starting points, but it’s not so big like Planet Fitness where it is impossible to establish any sort of community. The community feel at M43 is amazing. It’s generally always the same faces and even in asking random people for a spot, or for advice, the vibe is always amicable and inviting. They also have wonderful trainers there, with a large variety in training knowledge.
Chris Weiss: Thanks for the drop it Scott and the whole M43 staff! Great gym, my kind of place! No bubble gum fitness here, just good people looking to create the best version of themselves. Hard workers and good vibes all around!
Mackenzie Fox: Love how clean and how nice everyone is. You can tell that the owner and trainers really care about their clients and customers!
Joseph Sambaer: M43 fitness is an incredible fitness center with great trainers and members. Everyone is very kind and engaging. Owners - Scott and Arie are fantastic to work with. Scott has made an incredible impact in my life due to his concern for my health and wellbeing. I am forever grateful to him. Highly recommend!!
Joe Janecke: Positive:ProfessionalismAwesome place to workout. Clean and organized. The fitness app is great for guiding you thru your workouts and tracking your progress. Highly recommended!
Seko Sichinga: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,QualityLove love love this gym! Everyone there is great and so friendly and Scott is an amazing trainer! I’m excited for my new journey/lifestyle with M43 Fitness!!
Randi Martinez: This is a great space that is welcoming to individuals of all fitness levels with different fitness goals. As a person who has always been motivated to do cardio but not strength training, the programs developed by Scott and his team have helped me become consistent in my training.
brandon crabill: 1. Very clean, modern, and well maintained. 2. Incredibly welcoming and expert level training staff. 3. Literally, has everything you need from weekend warrior and athlete, to someone just looking to get healthy again.Did I mention everyone is actually nice? LolCannot recommend this place enough!!!
Spencer Dillingham: Great place for whatever workout you need! I use it for powerlifting and the equipment meets specifications for most federations! Overall great atmosphere and great people lead to a great workout
Tully Chapman: M43 is the best gym in Lansing. They have the best equipment and the unlimited access allows me prioritize my fitness on my time. Also getting programming from the app has made it so I can go in and train without thinking about what I’m going do that day!

Spartan CrossFit: what do users think?
Kerwin Post: Awesome community, very warm and welcoming!!! Equipment solid with excellent coaching from Semma!!!! Thanks for the drop!!!
Holly Chuang: Semma’s great! I so appreciated her coaching when I attended her classes. It was also easy to ask her to extend the expiration date of my drop-in on PushPress.
Thomas McFall: Great box with super friendly staff and athletes. Go Green!!
Joe Furuseth: Fun Sunday "Sparti-O" WOD 🙂, I did A LOT of DUs! Nice place for a drop-in, friendly folks!
Samantha Bodan: I had such a good time stopping by Spartan CrossFit. Everyone was so welcoming, and the coach Semma was very understanding of me coming back after a couple month hiatus. She had great coaching cues and was easy to follow instruction from. Definitely one of the highlights of Lansing!
Al R: It’s lit.
Andrea Abbas: I recently moved to the area for work and am happy I found Spartan CrossFit. The coaches are amazing people and the culture is inspiring. I love my gym!
Alisson Mota: Almost 3 years coming here and I stand by these 5 stars!
Julia Angst: I’ve been at Spartan CrossFit for 1.5 years now and I can honestly say it is the highlight of my day! The workouts are fun but also tough. All workouts can be scaled for any ability and scaling is actually encouraged on most occasions. The coaches are fantastic and the programming is top tier, but the best part is the community that Spartan has created!
Kennedy Selewski: Spartan CrossFit is a great community and has a very supportive environment! The best place EVER!
Katherine Sands: Spartan CrossFit has really been one of the best experiences I have had while living in Lansing! I have done CrossFit at other boxes but this one has not only helped me get stronger, fitter, and more technically sound, but they have a real community that is there to help you and cheer you on towards your goals! If I could give them more stars I would!
Matthew Longthorne: Incredible coaching, even better programming. The community is great. Highly recommend!!
Bethany Ashworth: Great coaches, members, and space. Plenty of clean, new equipment and a lot of square footage that is laid out nicely. Biggest pro for me compared to other gyms in the area is many more class time slots during the day (5a, 6a, 9a,12p, 4p, 5p, 6p, and 7p). Workouts are published the night before along with coaching insight to maximize your effort and see results. Coaches truly care about you, your health, and reaching your goals. I would recommend this gym to anyone who is an experienced Crossfitter, someone who is looking to try something new, or anyone starting their fitness journey. They offer great suggestions for scaling options and always have plenty of equipment (both cardio and weights). Would recommend.
Jennifer Galvan: Great community and programming! Definitely a good place for a drop-in if you are passing through. WODs are always fun and challenging!
iza de Barbaro: Been coming to Spartan Crossfit for 4 years -- love the programing, love the intensity and variety of the workouts, love the coaches and the community of people. This gym is a huge part of my life and it is so wonderful. I came not knowing how to do any of the Olympic lifts or crossfit moves and have learned so much over the years.
Ashley Seddon: Great CrossFit box! The programming is very methodical & every movement has a purpose. The coaches make it their priority to look at form & make changes as needed for every athlete. Love the community of people that attend!
Karina Orlowska: This place is extraordinary with outstanding and super knowledgeable coaches focused on teaching good form and right technique. The atmosphere is just amazing. We are all there to improve our personal best and support each other in the process. Spartan CrossFit will embrace you as family with open arms. I’ve never felt intimidated but always welcomed. You want to get pumped up both mentally and physically, this is the place for you! You absolutely MUST check it out for yourself.
Semma Burba: I walked into Spartan CrossFit 9 years ago as an out of shape 39 year old woman. I didn’t know what in the world I was doing, but I was eager to learn. The workouts turned out to be so much more interesting, FUN, and effective than the treadmill workouts that I grew accustomed to. The coaching, attention to detail, creativity in programming, and community was exactly what I needed to have success in a CrossFit setting. I fell in love with the CrossFit methodology and specifically Spartan CrossFit, and can’t imagine ever going back to my old ways of working out. I’ve gained so much through my experience at Spartan CrossFit and am so thankful I took a chance and walked in the door so many years ago.
Candace Gregory: Love the community, love the programming. I hear the coaching and the nutrition program are pretty good too! Come check us out!
Mircea Lazar: Spartan CrossFit is more than just an exceptional gym; it's also a fantastic community. Everyone I've met here over the past two years and two months has been kind, friendly, and highly supportive. The coaches are all extremely knowledgeable and experienced and provide each athlete with individualized instruction and modifications in every class. There is also a strong emphasis on good form, proper technique, and appropriate scaling that is a hallmark of the box. The programming is top-notch and generates athletes that are well-rounded in weightlifting, gymnastics, and metabolic conditioning. Please consider joining Spartan CrossFit if you are looking for a place to get fit and healthy and have fun while doing it!
Chen Du: Spartan CrossFit is a welcoming and a fun place to become fit while making friends. I am so thrilled with the level of fitness that I have reached in only 5 months of working out at Spartan CrossFit and am looking forward to the continued journey toward the better self that I can become. It is such a privilege to be guided by the excellent exercise programmer and all the knowledgeable, caring, and patient coaches. Most importantly, training alongside like-minded athletes who grow together and cheer and celebrate each other’s growth makes my exercise experience so much more fun and enjoyable. Being a part of the Spartan CrossFit community is a transformative experience for me, not only for fitness but also for mentality!

Planet Fitness: what do users think?
Anas Al saiasneh: A place that is more than very wonderful
Winnie Thurston: I appreciate it's cleanliness and mass amounts of equipment so you don't have to wait long for the machines
Sir Don Nico: This is a nice place to workout and get in shape.
Anne Grech: Very clean and spacious. No need to wait for equipment.
Courtney Blomfield (Courtney Sobleskey): No judgements here...the staff and most people are really nice and willing to help. There are all types of people at all different stages of health and workouts. Lots of different machines for custom workouts. There are so many different ways to workout here. They offer training and classes, tanning, and massage...its an all-in-one gym! I absolutely love it!!
Steve B: This place has everything to work out plus the help and it's super easy to join. Strongly recommend the black member Ship. It allows you access to tanning, Massages, And also to bring a guest.
Brick Walls: let me start by saying I love Planet Fitness and this location. I have been coming here for about over 5 years. However, I feel like things lately have been going downhill.Grips and pads on machines are not being repaired or replaced in a short manner of time. Some have taking over a month. In March, this location went about 2 days without paper towels to wipe down the machines. That's totally unacceptable! They removed the paper towels in the men's locker room, and the past 3 days I worked out, they didn't have any spray bottles in the locker room. I told 3 difficult staff members of the lack of spay bottles, and they told me OK, I'll look into it, May 10th, they still didn't have any.I'm constantly telling the staff that the bottles and paper towels on the floor are empty. I understand when there's only one staff member there, things like this can happen, but when there's multiple staff working, this is unacceptable also!Overall, the gym appears clean, and the staff is friendly, I would have to say it's the MGR is responsible to keep paper towels in stock, and make sure the bottle and paper towels are filled on the floor. Also, one of the changing rooms does have a coat hook. It hasn't been replaced in over 3 years, and I've told numerous staff about it.Small things like what I've mentioned make a good gym, a great gym.I've been to quite a few locations. This one is the only one with these many issues.
Vladimir Maslovaric: It would have been definitely 5 stars club, but the only downside is new trend not only this but more and more PF clubs are closing early on Friday, Saturday and Sunday in between 7 and 10 it defers depending on the club. This one in particular 9pm. Many people actually use their weekends to relax or work out in the gym.I understand labor costs and different franchise policies about their time, but it would be ideal if Planet goes back to its original idea of being available 24/7.Still thumbs up, it is a really nice club. I recommend 👌
Chris Johnston: It has every machine I need and I don't have to interact with anyone so I get in and out quickly.
K.R. Fioravante: Very friendly, helpful staff!
Matt Jocks: Good spacious planet fitness!
Brendon Ryan: Johnny is always nice and professional
Miss Lovely: Let's go! Great place to start your fitness routine!
Jacky Reid: Staff is always friendly. It is always clean. I love the Hydra massage and being able to tan too !
Lucy Eckley: I’m currently AT this gym writing a review at 10am, i don’t know who on morning shifts panties are in a bunch but you gotta chill on the lunk alarm, it’s excessive in the morning everytime i’m here in the morning. It feels very judge mental actually. I completely understand the need for the alarm for example when someone is being very disruptive and crashing weights, however morning shift will find any excuse to make it go off, it honestly begins to disrupt my own workout. I am afraid to workout comfortably here in the morning. Night shift is great even when busy, especially johnny give that man a raise. They know when to lunk appropriately without making one feel judged.
Heather Lane: No matter what time I go it's always busy but I understand where I live it's more busier. Other than that place rocks
Nataliia Piterova: Really disappointed, Today my card was charged. Though I didn't enroll, or start membership. I was starting the process to apply, but when it came to revealing hidden fees I was not told about, I refused to proceed and didn't sign up or confirm any payment. Today they charged me without any reason. When I called, they said there is no membership or my name in their database. Looks like fraud.'Fintess Planet' is a bad name for me onward
Rick Sanchez: Good facility, staff, and vibe. Just not 24/7
Debbie Ripley: I love planet Fitnesses, I can park my RV & get a workout in & shower & massage bed, win win win win
scroll testimonial: Great when it's not too crowded. Could use another machine or two.
Gloria Hall: Awesome place to work out!

HiiT Fitness: what do users think?
Miranda Regenold: Absolutely love this place! Incredible trainers that really care about you as a person and not just as a client. They do an incredible job pushing everyone in each class and makes you want to come back over and over again.Would highly recommend joining!
Coach Nate: Great place to work! If you are a certified personal/group trainer and you’d like to gain more experience, Hiit Fitness is your best choice when it comes to the Lansing area. Hiit Fitness is a fitness studio that will help you explore your talents and expand your knowledge in the fitness training industry. You’ll have the freedom to write out your own workouts for classes with a huge and spacious floor plan and TONS of equipment. Get creative…so you can always give the members an awesome workout in order to maximize their results! But most of all, have FUN! That’s what Hiit Fitness is all about!
Debbie Balaker: At least once a week, the trainer/owner didn't show up during scheduled sessions over three month period! I was finally fed up and canceled my membership (to the contract terms).I was charged several times afterward, and I actually had to cancel my debit card. I am not alone; two of my workout buddies are experiencing the same thing with this shady practice. Check your credit card if you canceled your membership! There are better gym options available!
Bayleigh Penrod: Love this gym! Perfect when you need an extra push. The trainers motivate you and the music is awesome too. Love that I can get a good workout in only 30 min!
Sara Aspinall: Left a review about not getting a response to my calls. Now someone replows saying they did call back and left detailed messages, blah blah blah.Truth me told I know for a fact that thats a lie because my voice-mail isn't even set up to receive messages. Nice try though.
Jenniee Lopez: Nate is definitely hands down the best💙 he will definitely push n motivate you for sure!! Always a great time there
Ali Jahr: If there was an option to give zero stars, I would. This gym struggles in several ways. Trainers, especially the owner, were consistently late and unprepared. There were at least 10 instances over the course of 3 months where trainers were 5-10 minutes late or didn't show up during scheduled session at all. After being promised that this behavior would be corrected, I spent another month dealing with the same issues. Finally, when confronting the owner to request a cancelation of membership, I was flooded with too much information about the owners personal life and was told I had to pay a hefty cancelation fee and had to meet him in person to cancel. It was far more difficult than it needed to be to leave this place, especially since, this establishment was not delivering their end of the contract. After an intense conversation and negotiation that he insisted happen in person, I ended up not having to pay the cancelation fee.I've since left and joined another gym. Only to have learned there are far better local options available to the Lansing area.
Kate Ardinger: I have been a member at HiiT Fitness since 2018, and this gym has become like a second home to me! I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a fun atmosphere and effective workouts. The short classes make it easy to consistently fit a quality workout in, and the variety and intensity of the workouts is much better than what I could put together on my own. Nate and his trainers truly care about every member and can tailor the workouts to meet a wide variety of fitness levels.I also recently did some personal training sessions with Nate, which is another great option if the classes don't fit into your schedule or you want more one-on-one attention. It really helped me push my strength and stability to the next level for running, hiking, and skiing.
Michele Spagnuolo: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,Quality
Beth Schulte: I should have left when the owner stopped showing up to classes and appointments he was scheduled to coach. He convinced me to stay a member by offering me 2 free months, which I never received. He still missed appointments and showed up late to classes. I moved across state and he has continuously billed me even after contacting him. This business is very unprofessional. It’s unfortunate because I absolutely loved working out with all of the trainers.
Prakash Natesan: Positive:QualityWhile time and effort needs to be put in everything, the HiiT classes here are great to get a good tone. Nate as my personal trainer also pushes you to the limits that you think you couldn't do. It's a great place to break some sweat.
Pavan Varma: If you are serious about your physical transformation needs, this is the best place to join. Particularly, special mention about the trainer Nate in this gym. He will assess your body muscle and fat compositions using the ‘InBody composition’ machine and will design a diet and workout plan to reach your goals. I took personal training classes with him to reduce my body fat and I noticed the results showing up in two weeks. All the trainers here are amazing and are focused to get your results. Once you enter this training area, you will definitely feel the positivity and energy and will enjoy working with this team. Try it and you will love it!
Melissa Boucher: Very professional and motivational trainers, great class sizes and clean gym!
Moe Alomar: Critical:Communication,Professionalism,QualityIf I could give this place 0 stars I would
EX Hitman: Critical:Communication,Professionalism,QualityTHE OWNER OWES ME $575 AND REFUSES TO GIVE ME MY REFUND NOR TRAIN ME FOR IT!!!
Ayjay Ayj: Critical:Communication,Professionalism,QualityThe trainers seem to not like what they’re doing and the reason is because the owner doesn’t pay them good, amazing trainers but terrible ownership! Bums for the owner!
Saad Alomar: I disliked some of this place such as the dirty bathroom and bad smell I preffered other gyms and that's all ! It personally offended me ! He called my grandma by her first and last name which he said multiple times after she asked him to stop!!!!!
Ben Dover: Critical:Communication,Professionalism,Quality
Charlie Tidwell: These creeps just sent me an unsolicited text message, even though we have no business relationship. Advertise your "fashion gym" in less shady ways.Edit: Since I cannot reply to their comment.I never signed up for anything with them. Didn't know this gym existed until they randomly texted me.They probably bought my info from Go Workout while 'Go' was shutting down/losing money.I'm a human and I make mistakes - on the off chance I did express interest in them (and somehow completely forgot about their existence), it would have been about 2 years before they contacted me.So like - what? You're telling me and people reading this - that you value your (potential) customers so little you don't reach out to them until they've forgotten about you?Doesn't make you look good either way.
Betty Fedewa-Bedard: HiiT Fitness has a great new owner! His name is Nate. He is so great at inspiring me. He listened to my concerns and my needs and helped to personalize a plan of action for me to build my muscle and lose the fat that I gained since March when we all stayed home. He has made his gym safe. There is a lot of members on this new Challenge. He started a 21 Day Weight Loss Challenge, just in time for Christmas. I am happy Nate invited me to join the Challenge. Being a part of a Challenge helps me push to compete and I am working out and I love it. I like that my muscles feel their strength again. And I appreciate that working out takes away that anxiety. Increased energy and euphoria are great side effects! The diet plan is an easy, healthy food plan that is so simple to follow. Thank you Nate and your trainers for caring about the fitness of your members. I am 62 years of age and feeling stronger each day. I enjoy what HiiT Fitness has to offer me and I think you might love it too! Try it and see for yourself!

FLEXcity Fitness: what do users think?
Angel Swaynie: Love going here. Perfect gym for those who enjoy a solid workout but don't have time to plan one. You just show up and they tell you exactly what to do. A combination of treadmill, bike, floor, and bare exercises.
Tiffany Hauser: Jenny and Trista at Flex are amazing! I have worked out at Flex for over 5 years, before kids, while pregnant and now after having two kids. Even during these crazy times of a worldwide pandemic they are committed to providing the tools, encouragement and guidance to get some daily movement and exercise in. The virtual class is something I look forward to every day and I can’t wait till we are able to be back in the studio! I would absolutely recommend Flex City Fitness to anyone, of any fitness level!
Kristina Siettas: I go here everyday on my lunch. I'm a mom of 4 small children and I work full time, so I'm very pressed for time. I get a fantastic work out in just 45 minutes. With me, every second counts. I love that there is a different workout every day that always leaves me drenched in sweat. If you're even thinking about trying this place, do yourself a favor and DO IT. You won't regret it!
Laura P: The varying workouts are a perfect combination that condition and work my entire body. I’ve never been in better shape than I am now because Flex keeps me interested and is challenging. It’s a work out for everyone. Whether your challenge is walking on the treadmill or hitting 12 on your 30 second sprints, this is your program.
Christina Dresen hendrix anderson: To far
ReyCuban Tv: They have great workouts for sure and I enjoyed every moment ,but I did not enjoy the treatment towards me , maybe my completions or i didn't speak English that well? Something was funny ..that's my only downside with the blonde teacher.
Bilal Naqvi: Good
Lou G: Great place to get a very good workout in. I would say this is pretty advance. The only thing I would say is the pricing is way too expensive. You can get the same workout at home without needing equipment. Other good thing is the early morning classes. Great way to start your day.
Judy Abott: I like to work out here , they have amazing staff here.
Katie Terranova: Awesome workout for those who enjoy group classes!
Jillian Otten: Flex is a tough workout that will keep people at any fitness level challenged. I've been attending for almost 2 years and have yet to repeat a workout!
Rachel Mulder: Great workout. Always something different so it never gets boring.
Kortni Lefevre: I love Flex! I've been doing this now for a few years and the workouts are so different everyday, it never gets boring or routine. Best fitness experience and instructors in Lansing!
Sam Morris: I love going to FLEXcity! I have trouble pushing myself and motivating myself at the gym but with the group fitness classes I definitely have more motivation! The instructors are all awesome and very helpful. I would highly recommend FLEXcity to anyone looking for a great workout in just 56 minutes.
Elizabeth Battiste: I honestly cannot say enough about FLEXCity Fitness. While I grew up active (hiking, biking, skiing), I never really learned how to "work out" and I absolutely dreaded regimented exercise. FLEX has changed all of that. I love that the classes last one hour, you can just listen to what they tell you to do and don't have to think about what is next, the results are great, and the instructors are friendly and knowledgable. Definitely worth the cost if you are committed to improving your life!
Maddie Sherer: Great workout and sweat, done before you know it!
Bridget Geraghty: FLEX is unlike any other workout experience. You will never get bored working out because each class is a little different. Whether its TRX, bar, or on the cardio machine FLEX challenges me to work hard and set goals for myself. I have seen significant improvement in my physical performance since joining FLEX. I'm happier, healthier, and look forward to 56 minutes to myself each day! The teachers are fun, encouraging, and will help make sure you are working with proper form. Follow FLEX on Facebook and Instagram for updates, workout tips, nutrition advice, and more!
Corrine Calhoun: I've been going to flex for a year and a half and I absolutely love it! Every time I go it is a totally different workout from the last time. I always burn at least 400 calories! The instructors are super friendly and motivating :)
Jennifer Sturdy: A great workout every class, every time!
Rachel Diskin: I've been paying attention to health and fitness for 10+ years now, and Flex is the only exercise class I've ever loved. The instructors are friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. Classes consist of 12 minutes on the treadmill, 12 minutes on the spin bike and 24 minutes of some kind of strength training. They spice it up by alternating what activity you're doing often. You're never stagnant and this helps keep me motivated AND burn more calories. Basically, every class is different, so you'll never get bored. It's amazing how easy burning 600 calories can be when you're enjoying yourself!
Nicole Racine: I have been going to FLEXcity for over a year now and it is by far one of the best workout classes I have ever taken. It offers a perfect combination of cardio and strength. The best part about this class is that no matter how many times I go a week, it never feels "easy". The instructors are always pushing you to your limits and I feel myself improving after every workout.

Orangetheory Fitness: what do users think?
Jaime Garcia-Vila: OTF East Lansing is an amazing and welcoming studio. For years I struggled to find a place where I'd feel comfortable and OTF finally did it. Coaches are constantly checking on you, making sure you're doing the exercises right. In a couple of months, I've seen more results than I expected, it's a good combination of cardio and strength. I highly recommend it
Rachelle Hollabaugh: OTF East Lansing is an excellent fitness studio and well worth the investment in your health. The workouts are a great combination of cardiovascular and strength training. The coaches are friendly, supportive, and helpful. The gym is also incredibly clean. I've been a member for nearly five years and am stronger and healthier because of it. People of all ages and fitness levels are welcome and supported; workouts can be modified as needed. If traditional gym memberships don't work for you, give OTF a try.
Trish Phelps: Terrific gym- inclusive encouraging- you will see real results! Great staff
robert henderson: Nice, but as you would expect by its location, it's pretty crowded
Ariel Newsom: OTF East Lansing has been such an amazing experience. The staff are all nice and the coaches are amazing. It truly feels like a family away from home. If you are ever in town, definitely come check it out. You won’t regret it.
Marjorie Ellis: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,QualityBetween emails, social media and texts you always know what is going on at the studio.
Meghan Camburn: This is my 6th month at OTF after signing up immediately after my first free class and I cannot recommend the workouts/ this location enough! I have always felt so included and supported while working out at OTF. It is an amazing workout that you never get tired of with such amazing people and coaches!
Trisha Bird: Love OTF! Coaches are amazing!
Chelsea Nowlin: East Lansing OTF is awesome - coaches are super energetic and knowledgeable about form and technique! (Kelly, Liz, Shawn, Ben and Flex). The only workout that I’ve been able to stick with and I am seeing progress and feeling improvements in my stamina and mental health. Love the music too :)
john berndt: Exhilarating workouts, changes daily! Wonderful knowledgeable friendly staff encourages challenges improvement!
Polly Bashore: Orange Theory East Lansing has been my home away from home for four years, and I continue to be amazed at the difference in my health and quality of life. Great staff and support - highly recommend!!!
Leanna Feazel: Great classes with fun staff! They are always playing upbeat music to pump you up during class. The gym itself is very clean and everyone wipes their equipment between stations. They have a couple changing rooms with showers for those who need to shower before work. I definitely recommend coming here.
Elle Bennett: I love the OTF East Lansing Studio — the staff and coaches are amazing! The workout is fabulous and the coaches create an amazing and motivating atmosphere.
La'Rae M. Trice: This is the place to go if you're serious about investing in your fitness!
Chris T: Best place to get in shape! The best coaches you can find are located here.
Michael Robbe: Great guidance, good tempo. I personally made the faux pas of not eating before my very first workout (rookie mistake), and having not worked out for months, ended up getting too lightheaded and fatigued in the first 20 minutes. The coach supported me with liquid electrolytes and some simple carbs while I recovered. Greatly appreciate the teams support and consideration. Looking forward to completing my trial next week.
Amelia Cook: There is a coach that comes around to encourage, correct, and push you. At the end of the workout everyone is so proud of themselves and each other. I am the type of person who needs a team and I've found it here.
Brooke Merrill: I signed up online for a free first class, and when I arrived the employees at the front desk had a sign specifically welcoming me and they were very knowledgeable and thorough when giving me the run down of how the classes worked. The actual class was really cool too! The coach was super attentive to all the participants, and the way the classes are designed is fun and doesn't make you feel like everyone is staring at you. 10/10 totally signed up!
Amy Hieftje: Positive:Professionalism

Anytime Fitness: what do users think?
Jason Clark: Great gym!
Alice Dreger: Safe, clean, well outfitted with a great manager/owner! I've been coming to this gym for over 8 years, working out with Nick as my personal trainer and HIGHLY recommend. As a woman, I especially appreciate that Nick upkeeps standards of safety and collegiality towards other gym-goers. People of all ages and body types use this gym and experience the positivity Nick brings!
Tasha Spagnuolo: Very small, everything seemed pretty clean.I was more confused by their membership it seems the owner makes his own prices?Based on gym or tanning etc.there not really posted anywhere and when you sign up on the anytime fitness website for week trial it doesn’t qualify for this location he stated. If he does allows you to try it out it’s only for 2 days. I guess you can only go while he is there from 3-7 pm or something if he allows you to try it out.He didn’t really give a full tour of everything just pointed in the direction of where to put things and if you had any questions to ask. He didn’t seem interested in new business only in his own workout at the time being.
heroangel20: Same compared to every other location I've been to, but clean and well maintained. Added benefit of not being busy is definitely nice.
ellie vongphachanh: Staff is awesome, Always clean and organized.
Drew Smoak: UPDATEDJune 22-22 Gyms okay in general. Im from out of town. Gym isnt clean, you can see at the base of the machine, dust bunnys on alot of equipment. You can tell the pullys never get lubricated. I had to stop doing cable flys bevause the resistance on one arm was greater than the other. You have so much drag. The rubber coated weights are falling apart on not only free weights but loading weights.the lighting is dingy.. I didnt really enjoy the experience. When i come back, ill try the other anytime fitness.June 23-22... 1 year later and the gym looks much better. Ill continue to use this AF.
Maryam Abbasi: A very nice gym and I would have definitely continued but it is a little far away from where I live. Also Nick is an excellent guy with excellent customer service skills.
Debra Bernier: Clean, professional staff...very nice place to work out
JC Alvarez: Positive:ProfessionalismThis location is modern and very clean. And staff goes above and beyond. Definitely one of my favorite gyms in the area. Highly recommend!
David White: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,QualityIn town for daughter's MSU soccer game. Called owner and he said come in. Super nice, very clean, and well-stocked wuth new equipment. Everything you'd want in a gym from machines to free weights And not crowded, just steady. Moved from set to set with ease.
Sara Johnson: This is not a Jim this is Cube Storage Anytime Fitness is not here anymore don't waste your time
Big Jawz Said It: Good clean gym. Even at mid day it was pretty empty.
Cheese Puff: This gym is fantastic. The place isn’t too big, so there isn’t a ton of people crowed around all the time. I feel comfortable working out here and don’t feel like people are staring at me or judging my workout skills. The gym isn’t too small though either, there is plenty of equipment available with space to spread out. There’s basically just enough people in this gym for it to be a social experience without anyone bothering you.I have never had to stand around waiting forever at Anytime Fitness to use a piece of workout equipment.Anytime Fitness has great equipment and everything is clean. They’ve got a smith machine and they’ve got squat racks. They have a ski machine, cardio equipment, and a place to do deadlifts.Anytime Fitness is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and I appreciate that. I work the overnight shift and sometimes I want to go to the gym late. I love this place because they have flexible hours. The bathrooms are clean, there are nice showers available, and you could use their tanning bed if you’d like.I think this gym is great and I’m glad I joined.
Josh P: I've only been once so far, but it was super quiet and clean. I had never been to a gym before and I was able to make my way around the machines without issue thanks to the labels and diagrams. I'm doing month to month right now, but I don't see any reason I'll stop any time soon.
Caleb Gekeler: Positive:Professionalism,Quality
UnwholesomeImp: The owner does a great job keeping the gym clean
Brenda Pennoni: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,QualityWell run gym with courteous staff and client's. Plenty of room and equipment for a great workout. Would recommend to anyone.
mike pennoni: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,QualityVery clean and well-run. Very friendly and accommodating. Even when busy, everyone is courteous. Would definitely recommend this gym.
Nathaniel Courtney: Great experience, always clean and well kept and the equipment was great.
Sam Vail: Worth the price. 1st time in and just did chest, didn't look around much. Went late to avoid the crowds. Seemed kind of over crowded with machines. Not sure if they have a dead lift platform or not. 55lb dumbbells need replaced badly. Better than not having a gym at all.
Katrina Kelley: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,QualityI love this gym and the owners, my daughter and I go there. It’s never too busy, it’s clean and safe. The owners come up to talk to us whenever we are there, they’re so sweet. I’m glad it’s so close to home!

Conquest Fitness: what do users think?
Moshe Elbaum: Lots of machines and free weights. Very clean and great set-up
Steve: Great facility and all the equipment you need to get an excellent workout. I would recommend more lighting as it gets dark at night especially during the winter. They could also use more benches in the freeweight area as it gets very busy.
BigChuckD: Gym rats rejoice!
Hayden Arthur: There isn’t a better gym in the Greater Lansing area..
Sue: It is very clean - nice layout. I was excited. I paid my money, did not get a tour, and was not shown the machines or the rooms and services.Over the next few workout days, I discovered two of the treadmill's touchscreens were pretty floppy (1st, last) in the row. I mentioned it to the older woman behind the counter and her response was, "no one else is complaining about it". Interesting right. I was happy to see a week later, there was an Out of Order sign on the first one. Someone else DID complain (lol),Then I went to the stationary bike (1st one) and there was friction noise with every cycle pedaled and the seat was pretty loose. I dare not say anything. On a different day, I walked in with the goal of focusing on muscle work and asked staff member ‘K' to recommend a couple of machines (there are many). He deflected my question. Abrupt, rude. I asked well what about the this other machine; if he could show me how to adjust it - bc it's been a few years. He said, 'there a no adjustments". I was thinking - this guy really loves his job. He stayed behind the counter. Also his selection of music for 60-80-year-olds - (men & women) working out was cussing heavy metal music (I kid you not) or you could watch men's sports on their three TVs.At the time I visited this place - you had to give a 30 day notice if you were anticipating on leaving. There is nothing on the contract about this. I had to argue this point and later emailed the owner who was then agreeable to let me leave without paying an extra month. Please, just be friendly and accommodating. Act as if you care about the equipment and the people. It did not take long to find a new place with great people.
Jeff Panaka: My new home gym. Has a great vibe and the staff is very friendly. This place does get pretty busy near 4-7 PM and they need more adjustable benches. They have a great smoothie and snack bar and that’s awesome. I find myself on the regular having a fantastic workout and then diving into a smoothie. That’s a new tradition in my life and one that I’ve been happy to adopt. 5/5.
Craig M: We went to consider memberships, we were given a nice tour. The different businesses are confusing, I still don't fully get it. My girlfriend wanted a trainer, she emailed one, a day later she got a response. She asked a couple other questions and did not get a response back, no followup. I'm totally not impressed, the trainers we met made us feel we were bothering them and put us off .... wow!! I have NOTHING good to say.
Dan Phillipich: Great place to work out and the staff is friendly
mmurr: w gym
Josh Smith: Has everything you could ask for and then some. Facility is immaculate and the staff are super friendly.
C Madill: Great atmosphere.
Limisha Watkins: I spent so much time at this gym when I was in law school, it was like a second home to me. Thank God no one ever asked me to contribute to the bills, because the monthly fee was so low. When, I switched to the MAC (because my kids were attending school remotely as a result of the Pandemic), I paid about $135 a month. In any event, this gym is without a doubt one of the best gyms I have ever been to. First, it's unbelievably clean. Second, the staff is well trained and pleasant. Next, they have equipment that other gyms typically don't have. And last, the building has windows! I know that sounds bizarre, but, for whatever reason, gyms with windows are rare. Most facilities are like little cells. At any rate, I definitely recommend this gym.
Christina Arriaga: I wish there was a sauna but overall a great gym.
Nathan Dolman: I enjoy the gym. The staff are nice too.
Laura Plaza: I just love this gym! They have every piece of equipment you need for a well-rounded, boredom-free workout routine. The staff is very friendly and the members of the gym are judgement free. I recommend this gym for anyone looking to work on their fitness - from beginners to highly experienced.
Destini H: Traveling and working out is difficult. Finding a good gym is even more discouraging. THANK GOD Conquest Fitness answered the phone and made it easy to get a day pass. The gym is big and has an array of equipment. Some of it is a bit old (if you care about that sort of thing) but it gets the job done. They provide spray bottles and towels at the door for you to wipe stations down. The women's locker room has clean stalls and showers and it's spacious. All around great and reliable gym.
Cameron Daley: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,QualityThe manager is kinda cute
Coach Rodriguez: Clean and well kept equipment. Staff is super friendly.
staik28: Just joined Conquest Fitness gym and very pleased so far. It doesn't get as crowded as in my previous gym and it's located a couple minutes away from where I live, so this saves me time and money on gas. The gym has all the equipment I need!
Austin White: Positive:QualityFriendly staff and great shakes!
Brian Raymond: What most people look for in a gym.

Sparrow Michigan Athletic Club: what do users think?
Brian Klotz: Love the MAC
Susan Martin: It's where we go for our medical doctor. There are many different things there such as medical equipment fitting, some rehab programs I think. Not sure what else. However the building itself is terrible if you're in a wheelchair. Threshold in is so unlevel that we had a terrible time trying to get over it. Several HEAVY interior doors do not have automatic openers?! If you don't have another person with you you'd have to call someone for assistance. And the doors with sensor openers don't usually work. Not disabled accessible in my opinion.
Noah Landon: Amazing. I’m a GAC member so I get one free day a week here, and my friend goes to MSU so whenever I visit I have the opportunity to use this facility. It’s massive, bigger than GAC. Staff is great, and I’ve never had a problem in the dozen or so times I’ve been. Super clean, awesome facilities, perfect gym.
mohammad torabi: This place is always nice. The only issue I have has been the fact that they reduced their hours during COVID and used it as an excuse to never go back to the original hours. When you message the management they are careless and basically respond with we don’t care what you think type of deal.
Chase: I am sharing this approximately 3 years after I graduated from State. There are times I still think about this gym. I live in Los Angeles and nothing compares. I love and miss you MAC.
Steve Underwood: Good indoor track
Brendan Watson: Winter 2023 update: Facilities are often in disrepair, closed, etc. When you call the club ahead of going and ask about specific facilities you're told they open, only to arrive and find them closed. The locker-room/restroom facilities are often not stocked with basics, have overflowing trash, and so disgustingly dirty that my children don't want to use them. All you hear from "management" are constant excuses while things get worse and worse.Spring 2022 update: I visited the club as a guest. The MAC hasn't gotten any better about maintaining the club. Bathroom trash was overflowing, no shampoo in shower, and could have written my name in dirt on the floor. When I raised these concerns with membership office, staff was defensive and argumentative. New leadership apparently is leading the club down the same, warn path downhill.Previous review: MAC has gone way down hill. Cleaning before COVID was atrocious. Now during COVID they want to force members back to the club or charge them a "hold" fee of $28/month?? This is what the club considers "customer service." Even when COVID is behind us, it's going to take a lot to convince me that the increasingly overpriced membership is worth it to return.
Marie Dotson: Great classes
Richard Gilchrist: Unfortunately I need to change my review. The MAC is no longer my happy place. I wrote an honest review to the annual member survey and got slammed, getting told my opinion didn't matter. I just don't understand why you do a survey if you don't appreciate the answers.I am joining the ranks of the long term members that go and complain about everything, until I find a new club to join.
Michael Mumaugh: On the pricey side for membership but worth it if you have kids interested in group sport activities. The coaches are great.
Amanda Zhang: I had my membership since 2018. Since pandemic, I moved out of state and I keep my virtual membership to connect with MAC coaches since they are the awesome. At the beginning, it didn't run well due to Wifi connection issues. It seems this year it's getting better. They use Fitness on Demand to manage their online lessons. However, it ran into issues there such as missing online lessons posted. When it happened, I called MAC and the customer service can't help. It was terrible with today's experience. The person answering my call does not understand virtual membership at all. He kept telling me there is a problem with my membership that he can't add me to class reservation. I explained I'm not asking for in person lesson reservation. It's for online lesson. I spent 30 mins to explain and he finally told me he can't help. It's completely waste my time.
Mary Ellen Lowe: Even though it's a busy place, we always find parking. Whether it's swimming, working out or playing ball, there's something for everyone.
Jude Hoogterp: Karen lady kicked our team off the balcony while watching our team compete in the state championship. Disrespectful. 😟
shera Brown: Very nice staff
Helena Bezant Niblett: You must use the booking app at midnight if you want to book a tennis court for rec play after work. ( 5 pm - 8 pm) Coaches often block out the courts, leaving just three courts or less for members to use at peak times. Impossible to have a regular weekly game. #tennisplayer
Heather Harrison: As the only hospital-based health club in Michigan, the MAC claims to be committed to improving the health of its community. While wheelchair users may be able to get through the door, the pool and equipment are largely inaccessible. Additionally, much of the facility has narrow pathways with sharp turns that are difficult to maneuver in a wheelchair. Though the pool does have a lift, it still requires a certain amount of mobility to use. This restricts many people from using the pool even though it is a great form of exercise that allows wheelchair users a far greater range of motion. The facility used to have a far more accessible lift several years ago (in fact, the tracks from the previous lift are still visible in the pool area). Despite being confronted with these concerns, the management still has no concerns about increasing the accessibility of the facility.
Denise Houck: So disappointed. When we joined we hoped to have the grandkids enjoy the slide pictured. It was under repair for the first 9 months. Finally thought today would be the day. Kids were looking forward to it as was I. Nope. No slide on the weekends, short staff . We enjoy the club most of the time but could be better.
Sean Gregory: Amazing amenities, and great staff.
Deanna Lundy: Great I work there
Joel Stephens: The Michigan Athletic Club is easily the best club to come to in the greater Lansing area. These reviews saying that the club is"dirty" and that "you can write your name in dirt" are lies. The club has made great strides in member safety and cleanliness. Like most places they appear to have some staffing issues that make some things difficult at times like the pools (Friday 5/13 prime example), but they're working on it and it's been an improvement since they've reopened. Aside from that, classes are great, equipment is clean and easy to use. Staff are polite and helpful. Great place!
Kaitlin Jackson: My family loves the M.A.C.! My husband told me about this place he use to attend and love awhile back Then one day my son had a birthday party to attend here and we have been here ever since All the people here are amazing. The classes are great. Great friend have been made here. The restaurant inside is delicious. Smoothies are yummy.

Crunch Fitness - East Lansing: what do users think?
Ryan Kelley: GM Joey was very kind and professional. Gym clean, well-equipped.
Reza Beha: Has all the important equipment, though light on bikes. Drinking fountain has been down for maintenance for a few weeks, but they're providing bottled water. Great price, but very busy as are all good gyms these days.
Marlena Klimkiewicz: The only way to cancel your membership is to physically go inside this location. Very inconvenient and poor customer service.
Glutz: Amazing gym. I always lose a lot of weight whenever I workout here because the drinking fountains never work. Im usually like 5 pounds of water weight lighter by the end of my lift. I start getting the spins though and see all these squiggly lines.
cynthia balcom: Energetic place
dano ley: So dope
Quinn Alexander: There are several pros and cons to this gym, but unfortunately, the cons outweigh the pros. Their drinking fountain is frequently broken and then they charge their members for water bottles. Besides having workout equipment, having a drinking fountain is an essential part of any gym. The least they could do is give the water bottles to their members for free. I’ve also noticed they often run out of paper towel (to wipe the machines down) and they don’t refill them. Same with in the bathroom. I also noticed the presence of ants in their tanning bed rooms. My last complaint is their class schedule. During the peak workout times (after work, around 5 pm), they’ll plan workout classes utilizing the only free/open areas in the gym. This makes the main areas even more crowded and essentially a nightmare to navigate. Good luck getting any equipment. I like this gym, but I don’t love it. There’s a lot of room for improvement.
Contractors 7 dotcom: Not a good intake experience. Left and spent way more elsewhere not to have to deal with unprofessional desk clerk...
Mr Handsome: It's decent but for sure overpriced.
Joseph Beasley: Very clean Gym!!Excellent staff + leadership!!
Mmeii Mar: It is a super wow place 💪🏻
santhosh k: I am a crunch member for a couple of months, one of the worst experiences I have ever had in my entire life... the fountain in the gym doesn't work for a week. when we ask when it's going to be fixed they become rude and suggest buying water bottles from their vending machine so that they can make more money... the staff was very rude and angry...absolutely pathetic people .. not humans just money making machines ...
santhosh kumar: I am a crunch member for a couple of months, one of the worst experiences I have ever had in my entire life... the fountain in the gym doesn't work for a week. when we ask when it's going to be fixed they become rude and suggest buying water bottles from their vending machine so that they can make more money... the staff was very rude and angry...absolutely pathetic people .. not humans just money making ...
Emily Tetreau: fix the bikes
Madison Roberts: Nice place for a workout when it’s cold outside
Kyle Taylor: Pretty awful experience if you try to go anytime other than the morning. Almost every machine has a wait or is broken. Also be prepared for groups of frat bros taking 30+ minutes at machines/squat racks. The gym isnt very large (compared to other crunch locations) and they will section off a huge portion of the gym for fitness classes during peak hours, making it even more crowded.
Joseph DeLisle: The only issue I have with this location besides the number of people who go between 3 and 7 pm is the DBs are not labeled correctly so the end up being all over the place. You can't tell if they are being used or if you can't find them.
Paul Stiles: I would give a negative star if I could. My daughter signed up for a trial month and cancelled I writing after 30 days. Since then I have been charged every month to my visa. I have disputed 9 fraudulent charges since. Visa said they even change a letter in their name to override the block I had on my visa. They an absolute crooks!!!! Go anywhere else.
Geoffroy Laumet: Good quality for a reasonable price
