Stephens Kenneth E DO: what do users think?
Alice Parr: DrStephens did 2 surgeries on my hand 3 yrs ago. Did a great job, big difference in my pain, numbness etc….
lori block: Amazing doctor. Very compassionate and understanding. Had 3 surgeries with him and all very successful
Martha Zepeda: My hands were in bad shape from carpal tunnel. The doctor operated on my right hand and the difference is amazing. I will be going back to him for my left hand surgery.
Teresa Bell: The front desk lady was short - almost rude. I was early for my appointment and they made me fill out a ton of paperwork, I was already a patient but had to complete all new forms. Doctor Stephens was awesome, but the front desk lady was not nice! I won't return unless I have to. Front desk lady was a big problem, she didn't communicate and the Dr ran a half an hour late so I wanted to reschedule but she told me I would be charged because I didn't see the Dr! OMG, I was early, filled out a ton of paperwork and they still wanted to charge me so I waited and waited. I'm very upset about it and feel like I don't want to return because of the front desk lady.
Cindy Vogl: I think Dr. Stephens is great, and I give him 5 stars. However since he has moved to his new office, their billing practices are horrible. If I could give them negative, I would. You are required to keep a credit card on file. The first time they charged my card, I never even received a statement first. I prefer to know what I am being charged for before paying it. When I called, the woman I spoke to was extremely rude. I created an account online, and I removed my card. I just called to pay my bill, and was told my card is still on file, and if I want it removed, I will have to send them something in writing to have it removed. Then I was told I would have to pay $500 to not have my card on file if I am seen again! I paid my copay when I was at the office, so this makes no sense to me! This is a billing practice that might require me to look elsewhere for future services.
Martha Andriekus: Dr. Kenneth Stephens stepped in after my wrist and hand had been terribly abused by a self-proclaimed hand specialist. I always research physicians and my family doctor had suggested this person years ago. The experiences, years apart, were very different! It is not easy to find a physician willing to step into a case where a patient is unhappy with the care of another local physician. Before Dr. Stephens even agreed to attempt to help me, he sent me to the Indiana Hand to Shoulder Clinic, a highly respected group who work with people from all over, including some of the Olympic athletes. They were wonderful and had great confidence in Dr. Stephens.Today my dominate hand is so much better I hardly recognize it as the same hand.Dr. Stephens does not rush into a course of treatment without great thought and what he sees as the expected outcome. Everything he does is well explained in terms you can understand and he always answers questions until you understand everything you are concerned about.Often he gives the impression of being rushed but I have found he always has time for whatever you need and the needs of family. You never need to worry about having surgery and booted out the door. He takes the time to follow the healing and when he thinks you are alright he always let's you know that you can feel comfortable contacting him if you are concerned about something later on.You can tell he is respected by the office staff and his peers. They are happy, helpful and hard to find fault with with.Scheduling an appointment takes some time, however, I have no doubts something time sensitive would be taken care of in a timely fashion. When someone make comments about waiting in any office I just say I knew I would have to wait when I made the appointment but if you want the best you are willing to accept the wait.I trust having Dr. Stephens treating my hands and up anytime and would feel very comfortable with him taking care of anyone in my family. You may have noticed I highly recommend him as a very intelligent, easy to interact with, up to date on everything current and willing to consult with others if he sees the need medical professional. I am not an easy person to impress when it come to medicine, am a RN, and research the people I am in trusting my health to.

Katranji Hand Center: what do users think?
Adam Dominion: very unorganized and unprofessional do not recommend told me what i already knew and made me travel out of my way to their east lansing branch and would not let me switch to the lansing one as it was inconvenient for the doctor and i said i could just have another doctor she said oh that’s not our policy all they did was an x-ray even though i said it was nerve damage so i recommend listing to your patients unless u want all of these bad reviews
Anas Aldasouqi: Peace be upon you, I ask Allah (The God) to reward this place and Mr. Abdulmajid Katranji one of the best Doctors I have come across which is really one of the only few good ones in the world. Him and the rest of Carefree team have helped me help myself and achieve the well-being every human should have no matter who they are without exclusions...and he has been wronged and oppressed in my opinion based on many of his tribulations due to the corrupt governance. For example thousands of patients he treated and has not received compensation due to corruption inside insurance companies which is very disturbing. Insurance employees get paid more for every person they deny health treatment, in other words the more people they can kill the more they get paid. Anyway I mentioned some extra information because I am indebted to him likely in a way that I can likely never repay him, he's probably the Doctor amongst the many I have seen which has helped me treat myself the most though I was never even his patient. Maybe I can't repay you however I can ask Allah (The God) to reward you and grant you everything good you desire from the good things in this life and after death. I wish I could have posted this sooner and maybe I could have helped more people however I hope you accept my thanks and forgive me.
Brittany Walton: This place is a complete joke. I would give them no stars if possibly. I was referred here from the VA for carpal tunnel surgery. The first visit they did an ultra sound told me what I already knew. Second appointment they felt my hand and stated the same thing. Upon arrival the rude receptionist gone tell me the doctor is going to be mad because you have a child with you. I had my 3 year old who got out of school early. But said that they would schedule me for surgery. Tell me go online to see pre operation guidelines and things. Tell me the surgery should be from 1pm-2pm I get there and they say I was scheduled for physical therapy. I said I been addressed not wanting physical therapy. Then the unprofessional receptionist informs me that he on vacation until after the new year. Also trying to make up things like they want to do pre operation measurements. That’s why you doing physical therapy. I called the VA and reported this and told them they just wasting my time and billing them for pointless visit. This facility is unprofessional, unorganized, unethical, and just a waste of time. Still in great pain.
Liza Clemons: I has my consultation with Dr. Katranji today. I had a great experience with his office right from my very first phone call to get scheduled with him. The staff was friendly and greeted me when I walked in the office. Dr. K was amazing. Very caring about my pain and he knew exactly what procedure was best for me. Thank you all so much. I look forward to seeing you on surgery day! ❤️❤️❤️
Ross Ford: Great place for hand surgery ! Dr. Huettner was wonderful. Very busy practice so do not plan on being therefor less than 2 hrs but worth the wait.
Scottie: He told me to put my splint in the microwave and that people find it soothing well it melted my splint. I called twice to schedule surgery both times I was not put on hold but they set the phone down so I could hear everything in the office. When it comes time for me to have my surgery they tell me they never scheduled me despite being told they have. I currently still have a broken hand that may never heal properly. I am heartbroken they way I was treated.
Kevin Dodd: I am a person who complains and almost never takes the identity of a victim, but I felt obligated to write this review as a public service. The first visit as a new patient I waited in the lobby for 2 hours to be seen after my 10am appointment, it seems there were many other patients scheduled that morning that also waiting. After a brief questionaire from one of the staff members, the doctor was clearly in hurry as he quickly examined my hand as I had a large oak foreign body embedded in my right hand. He scheduled surgury for the following week. Two days After the first sugury was when I was instructed to change my bandages, only to find stiches and insision from the surgury was an absolute hack job, and to make matters worse - not only did they not retrieve the oak splinter, but lodged it further into my hand. I requested an appointment but recieved no call back as I was told by the staff member who answered the phone to wait for my scheduled follow up appointment., I was In the ER for an infection that developed the following week. I had a second surgury the following day by the same doctor, to which I felt I was an inconvienence, although I refrained from negative remarks because I just wanted my hand fixed.2 days after the second surgury. I went back to the hand center for an appointment to change the bandages. The staff was very dismissive when I complained of still feeling this piece of oak still in my hand. This time I only waited an hour past my appointment time to be seen. They wrapped my hand and even gave me the rest of the roll in case I needed it.The following day I had wiped my forehead on accedent with my wrapped hand. Within minutes my face began to swell as If I had been stung by a bee, worse - I found half of my face had embedded fiberglass splinters, even through my left eyelid, within 2 hours, my left eye had swollen shut and the left side of my face was almost twice in size from the swelling. The tape the hand center wrapped my hand in was Mkesson Fiberglass Casting tape read from he rest of the tape roll they sent me with. I was in the hospital for 3 days before the swelling subsided.I tried to make an another appointment with the hand center, but was told I missed the follow up appointment, to which I explained what happened without pointing a finger, but as the staff member stuttered to respond, I could tell she was the one who wrapped my hand. They told me to come in the next day, when I arrived I was told I was discharged from their practice and denied having ever wrapped my hand. I tried to explain the the doctor and the other nurse that the oak spliter is STILL in my hand, they took no interest and discharged me fromt their practice The staff member would not let me talk to doctor Katranji or schedule another appointment. It was clear to me I was a liability at this point. It was an accedent on thier part, but so unethical to deny responsibility, but the worst part is the lack of consideration for my hand, which is now a painful scarred over mess.Stay away, these people operate on poor ethics and have no consideration for your time or problem, at least that has been my experience.
Burcu Tasoluk: My son was referred there by the Urgent Care and I took my follow-up visit elsewhere after my first visit to this center. The nurses (or may be they were medical assistants?) were wearing masks with sequins on them, fashionable yes, not the type that I would prefer to see in a doctor's office. When it was time for an x-ray, the assistant did not put protective cover on my son (I had to remind her), she did not ask me whether I was pregnant (to check whether it would be safe for me to be in the room), or she did not close the door of the room--I left the room when she looked like she was ready for the x-ray. When I asked for a copy of the image, they said that their printer did not have any paper on it, so they suggested that I took a picture of the image with my phone. Oh, did I mention that before the visit I was asked to fill out all the paperwork online, which I sent it to a non-working email (that was on their website), called them for an alternative email, sent the documents again, only to find out when I went there that they could not open/print the documents so could I please fill out all the paperwork again? Well, the waiting room was so crowded that at least I had time to re-do all the paperwork, while waiting in my car and trying to entertain my son at the same time (since it took us about 30-40 minutes to be seen.)
karson catey: Would NOT recommend. Each time I had an appointment I had to wait more than an hour past my scheduled appointment time to be seen. The same was true for my surgery. The front desk staff were rude over the phone on EVERY occasion and when asked why I was waiting more than an hour past my scheduled appointment time only replied (rudely) there was nothing to do but wait. Horrible customer service at literally every appointment. Pathetic.
Valerie Figueroa: Horrible. Refuses service to active patients for not having payments upfront. Says they're not a hospital and don't have to follow those rules. My daughters already been seen twice, had a surgery and now can't do a follow up! Clearly the safety of their patients is not important. Just the money!!
Chrystal Aseltine: My mom had 2 carpal tunnel surgeries by Dr Katranji that ended up so bad she had to go get her hand fixed by another doctor, In turn, the damage was already done and that doc did what he could to make it so my mom could actually use her hand again. I do not recommend him at all! Save you hands and go somewhere else!!
Leighton Harden: Most of the 5-star reviews were paid $25 to put the review here, take that information how you will.
Madison Sorenson: Very bad service and didn’t allow a picture ID to get in to see the doctor which was an emergency.
Megan Smith: If I get there at the appointed time I'll wait for 30-60minutes before going back to a private room. Dr. Katranji Is friendly, ready to answer any questions, and truly cares about his patients. He prefomed surgery on my wrist and It healed wonderfuly!
Patti Kirvan: The office staff needs to figure some things out. It should not have taken 3 1/2 months for them to finally get my short term paperwork to the disability company. Also they have received multiple requests from the disability company for more information that have gone unanswered for another almost 5 weeks. I liked this office more than a year ago however within the last year things have definitely changed and as of now not for the better. I am still fighting with them for the paperwork I need desperately.Desperately disappointed
Ivana Lakic: I’ve never reviewed a business or restaurant before in my life because I believe that one or two bad experiences isn’t justification for tarnishing a reputation when everyone has off days. With that being said this has been the most consistently incompetent, unprofessional, and repugnant business I have ever had the misfortune of dealing with. My boyfriend severed a tendon in his hand while we were camping and once in the ER we were told that a Dr. Katranji would be the one doing his reconstructive surgery. The only thing Katranji cares about is his ego and how good he believes he is as a doctor, this is glaringly obvious when you talk to him if he even graces you with over two minutes of face to face interaction. Immediately after the surgery my boyfriend knew there was something wrong with hand, we called his office and described the symptoms and they told us everything was fine. He kept complaining, finally scheduled an appointment with Katranji (who we were informed in the middle of all this left the country for a couple of weeks) and is told to put it in a different splint because it isn’t healing properly.Fast forward a month and half later and we are told that it wasn’t one tendon that ripped but it was three, and now one of three is ripping again and we will have to do this whole process over again. After we tell Katranji that we’ve been saying this for a month and a half he dismisses it and says that never happened.Obviously this is frustrating but it’s honestly the tip of the incompetence iceberg. The staff there is abhorrent and unfit. They blatantly lie about calling and scheduling appointments, which I’ve already had to go to the office and demand an explanation for, when they do schedule an appointment it’s in the middle of the work day on a single day for that entire week. And if you want to reschedule it’ll be for the following week, if you get lucky. Also if you get an appointment, be prepared to wait at least 2 hours because they are always running behind, which the the doctor almost seems to be proud of? The “receptionist” LouAnne, if you can even call her that seeing as she can’t even tell you when your appointments are supposed to be, is so unpleasant and rude it’s amazing she has a job anywhere dealing with people. Today after my boyfriend calls her three times and she transfers him in the middle of his sentence for the third time, I finally call and she tells me that today between 1-3 is the only day my boyfriend can get his blood-stained and smelly cast off this entire week. We have JOBS how can we make that? I finally lose my cool and swear and hang up and then the nurse whom my boyfriend has been trying to get a hold of all morning FINALLY has the time to call him back now not to talk about his hand but to talk about my attitude. The same nurse who didn’t give us his pain medication prescription a day after his surgery, when she says she of course did.I could go on this wasn’t even 1/10, this place needs to be investigated by the Better Business Bureau I know they are already in the process of litigation by another angry patient, the point is stay far away. Honestly, no matter how bad your hand hurts it’s better than the headache you’ll get trying to deal with these awful people.
Tony Monteleone: Would not recommend this facility. Screwed over too many times.
Melissa Thurlby: Phenomenal surgeon. Wait time is a little long but that tells me he takes his time with his patients.
Lynda Miller: Doctor is extremely rude will never return he embarrassed my whole family and then yelled at his employees where the entire lobby could hear. While we had to walk out in shame.Update drs office sends an article saying the reason they were rude is because a mom let her kid lick something in a drs office. And to take my review down......1st thing I don't care what another mom let her kid lick, my children were taught better and I don't know where stuff in the office has been you better believe it's not going in my kids mouth.2. We have special circumstances that required all of us to be in the room. A person with disabilities gets special accommodations I even explained the situation after I was kicked out of the room and still no one cared.3. I put this review up because it was the truth. The situation was handled inappropriately and others should know. This office should have made special accommodations for the patients disability.4. This doctor acted horribly. How dare you yell at your staff in front of patients. They weren't even the ones who allowed it to happen, but you yelled sry then anyway. Maybe if you respected you employees and patients you wouldn't get reviews like this.5. Hope you enjoy your extended review now. Please don't send me any more articles about "other" parents
Kareem Katranji: Never had such an amazing docter
John Adams: Absolutely wonderful hand surgeon! I had an injury on my ring finger that needed surgery and he walked me through all of the steps of the procedure and helped with my recovery as well. He is wonderful person and has checked up on me periodically asking how my ring finger is doing in terms of healing. Would highly recommend this doctor!

Steven L Drayer PLLC: what do users think?
cecily victor: In November of 2022, I was referred to Dr. Drayer as I had severe pain in my right knee. It was a shock to me when after seeing my xrays he gave the possible options , for me to make a decision, and at the same time gave me his best professional expert advice. His clear communication, made it very clear that I needed a total knee replacement surgery. I had read previous reviews from very happy patients and knew that he was a leading surgeon in . MAKO Robotic surgery. I am am so glad I made the decision to have the surgery promptly. The surgery went perfectly. And Last week, February, 27th 2023 I had an appointment with him, was able to tell him that all was going really well, and my recovery was quicker than anticipated. I am walking well, managing stairs. He gave me all the time I needed and kindly answered all my questions, and my husband's question too.It was an additional blessing to have pre and post op appointments with Sam of Sam's Physical Therapy, who to my good fortune is based in the same building as Dr. Drayer. Their working in tandem, really helped me physically but also gave me a lot of confidence that I was in extremely professional hands, and I was able to totally trust them and recover so completely at such a rapid pace!My heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Drayer and his caring staff, who never tired of my frequent phone calls and answered, as well as returned my phone calls promptly with answers to my questions. Thank you!
Linda Higgason: In 2021-22, I underwent two knee replacement surgeries with Dr. Steven Drayer and am pain free and enjoying activities I was unable to do before I got my new knees. I feel blessed to have experienced such a qualified and caring doctor and his staff.
Jillyn Smith: Dr. Drayer is an amazing surgeon. My left tkr has changed my life for the better. I am active again, no pain...just unbelievable. His staff is very kind, and very responsive. Everything you need when you are having a major, stressful surgery!
thomas hibblen: I was in a car accident in 1996 , Dr. Stayer fixed my broken pelvis, broken in 5 places, and my dislocated spine .The first Doctor I saw said I would never walk again, Dr. Drayer put me back together, and I worked another 24 years with virtually no pain.I cannot recommend him enough !
Jeff Risch: Here's our story, I had a full robotic knee replacement 9 weeks ago. It was amazing the results were fantastic. My recovery time and pain overall were wonderful. I was able at 10 days to flex over 90 degrees and walk without a cane. Then my wife went in for a knee scope and after surgery Dr Drayer informed us that her arthritis was very bad and in the near future she would need a full knee. This brings us to today she just had the surgery met with Dr Drayer and it went fantastic now we are headed forward. The whole team at his office to his choice of surgery hospitals the excellent care and concerns are all the best. Thanks for being part of your surgery familyJeff Risch
Nancy Shaver: I thought I would never walk without pain again. And then I met Dr Steven Drayer! He replaced both of my hips this year and I couldn't be more thrilled! I feel like I've started my life over! He is an excellent surgeon and I love his staff! I am only 57 years old and I have a new lease on life... I highly recommend him!!
Lawrence P. Schneider: I am writing this review on Thanksgiving Day 2020 on purpose, because I am so thankful that Dr. Drayer (with a bit of help from a robot) performed my total knee replacement surgery exactly two weeks ago. I am so happy with Dr. Drayer's services, as well as those of his staff, that I did not want to wait until I am back on a golf course again to write this review! Dr. Drayer was kind, caring, knowledgeable, compassionate, answered my every question, and was backed up by a staff that displays the same qualities. I would mention names but for the fear of omitting someone who I didn't meet who may have done some work on my case without meeting me face to face. The Hospital staff I met also made me aware that they share my opinion!
Karen Przytulski: Dr Drayer performed a total knee replacement August 2020 on me. This was my fourth knee operation completed by 4 different doctors. Dr Drayer is down to earth and prepares patients for the rigors of this procedure very well. You can tell he enjoys helping his patients. He has a dynamic team backing him up. His nurse, Halle, is great and Sam his Physical Therapist along with his assistant, another Halle are excellent. The nice part about Sam is he practices in Dr Drayer’s office so any questions are easily answered up to 7 to 8 weeks post-op.
Deborah Hayes: Dr Drayer is a professional physician who answers all questions and concerns you have. He has a phenomenal staff, that work in timely manner to get your needs taken care of. I had both of my total knee replacement surgeries done by Dr Drayer and would recommend him to anyone.I would also recommend DMC Huron Valley-Sinai Hospital. Their staff from the time you enter until the time you are released are caring and treat you as if you were their only patient. I have never received the quality of care as I experienced at DMC hospital.Sam the physical therapist that works in Dr Drayer’s office is caring and professional. Sam works with you to get through your therapy even when it feels like you can’t.Thanks to all of you
Jeffrey Curtiss: Just had mako total knee replacement surgery. Dr drayer and staff did a great job!
Nancy Hands: I opted for the Mako Robotic knee surgery and am very happy that I made this decision- less invasive and faster recovery. My right knee was operated on in early March and my left knee was done in late May. I had a wonderful recovery, minimal pain and I'm so glad that I had them both taken care of - it's behind me now and I can get on without the previous pain. Dr. Drayer is fantastic! My scarring is minimal compared to some that I've seen in online support group pages. I would recommend Dr. Drayer and the robotic option for any joint replacement issues you may have.
Big Unc: Dr. Drayer did my knee replacement and I have to say he did an amazing job. Feels so good not to have pain in my knee. And his staff are professional and extremely caring every time I go there. In my opinion best orthopedic surgeon in the are...
Alden Leatherman: 23 years ago Dr Drayer performed surgery on our infant daughter's broken knee in the growth plate area. We worried about the development of her knee and leg bones. She has grown up to be a dancer, hiker, rock climber, river rafter, dog musher, and runner. I kind of think he did a decent job.
Michelle Bellmore: I wouldn't go anywhere else!! I had THR with the Maco robotic and I now have even leg length and was active in just 3 months!!
J Roy: Dr. Drayer has performed 2 knee surgeries, as well as carpal tunnel surgery on both of my wrists. He did an amazing job every time! I still need to have a partial knee replacement on my other knee and will be having Dr. Drayer do that surgery as well. I am confident in his abilities and his staff are super friendly. They do x-rays right in the office and have a physical therapist on staff to better monitor your condition and your progress after surgery. I will say that he is not one to hand out narcotics unless they are truly necessary. So if you are a drug seeker, look elsewhere.
Ed Shand: I would like to thank not only Doctor Steven Drayer who was the surgeon for my recent total hip replacement but, a great deal of thanks to his entire staff. True, Doctor Drayer did the diagnosis and performed the surgery and he did a magnificent job in all respects. However, his office staff, nurses and all others also need to be complimented for their roles during the entire process. What a wonderful team of professionals that’s available to meet the needs of the patient. Every time I went to the office I was greeted with a friendly hello, every question was professionally answered with great detail and my mind was set at ease about the upcoming surgery, prep requirements and the post-operative requirements. There’s another caveat that I haven’t seen at another surgeons office. Doctor Drayer has an independent physical therapist working within his office complex. What a wonderful idea to have the resources right in-house to complete the healing process. It’s called Sam’s Physical Therapy. While there was no pressure to use Sam’s for my therapy, it made a great deal of sense to me to use the service so closely associated with the surgeon. Where else would I find a therapist that would know the latest therapy techniques designed for a hip replacement or other joint replacement than one tied directly to the surgeon who did the surgery? After just a few weeks of therapy I have more strength in my right leg and hip than I had over the past four years.Words are difficult to describe the wonderful experience that I had with the entire staff, the surgical procedure and the post-operative recovery that I had with Doctor Drayer. Thank you so much for your expert care.
Shad Bowens: He’s very attentive and knowledgeable. Thanks so much!!
Glenna Wireman: Excellent care!!!
Gavin Feldpausch: i broke both bones in my leg in 2014 and a year before that i broke my collarbone into 3 pieces. my scars are pretty much invisible and i have 0 pain. this man is good at what he does without a doubt.
reebee leigh: When I was 5 years old, I broke my elbow and was treated by Dr. Drayer at Sparrow Hospital. over a week in the hospital, 2 surgeries, weeks of physical therapy, and 21 years later I still do not have full range of motion despite the injury itself being relatively minor. about 5 years after my experience, my father fell off a ladder and broke his ankle. Bone exposed, snapped right in half. We rushed him to emergency (again at Sparrow) and unfortunately Dr. Drayer happened to be on call in the ER. My father went through 2 different surgeries with Drayer and still experienced immense pain over the following 2 years. Drayer would always tell him to just pop more aspirin. He was incredibly rude and never seemed to care at all about my father's diminished quality of life. We finally ended up taking my father to a specialist in Bloomfield Hills (Dr. Katcherian - HIGHLY recommend) where we were told that his ankle bone was actually necrotic and dying off thanks to Drayer's botched procedures. His ankle is now fused and he still experiences a higher than normal amount of pain but has learned to manage. AVOID STEVEN DRAYER AT ALL COSTS.
Judy Davis: I felt very comfortable with Dr. Drayer and the staff , very friendly and answered all my questions with understanding and care for my knowledge level. The robot surgery was great. I recovered fast and very little pain. I would recommend Dr. Draayer to anyone and if need other knee done will be going to him.
