Amy caswell: I use to work for Preferred Care At Home and I loved working with Preferred Care At Home but some of the staff are trouble makers and two faced people work there.When you talk to management about some private info they tell everyone else your private info.So the managers are not very nice and or very compassionate.Sorry to be so mean but I’m telling you the truth about this company.They treat there staff horribly.
Carson King: The staff at Preferred Care at Home are wonderful and amazing people. My grandmother was diagnosed with brian cancer and was only given a short time to live. When I contacted Preferred care they were very respectful and met with me and my family the very next afternoon. I am so very thankful for the caregivers that made the rest of my grandmother's time on earth very easy and come with her. I would recommend this company to any and everyone!

Joy Sandborn: This place is the most unprofessional place i have used. The first aid complained that it was too much work because she had MS. The second aid complained about her co-workers. Yet, sat and talked on her phone to her family, when she was supposed to help me with shower. (I am quadriplegic). The billing department statements did not itemize my debit, my payments or and balance. Very, very unprofessional.

So, after more than a month of waiting for help, they kept stringing me along until I withdrew from the company. Wow. Unprofessional, to say the least.

A certain Caregiver claimed to be a responsible, experienced person who has cared for people for well over 10 years. When she first showed up, she had my husband’s last name incorrect & said she had no idea he had Dementia. Apparently, the agency never matched the right Caretaker with my disabled husband who has served his country! This Caretaker only came out twice a week & lasted for only 2 weeks. Then she told us she was coming back on her scheduled day, but told the agency she was NEVER coming back to care for my husband. The only reason I found out the Caretaker was not coming back was via the agency’s call informing me of no one coming to our home. To add insult to injury, the person who contacted me never said we are sorry for this unfortunate situation or showed any compassion for my disabled veteran husband!!!
Jean B: This is the worst experience I have had.The workers are untrained,late,and leave task incomplete.Today I get home after working a nine hour day and find my bath tub filled with water,the ground beef I planned on cooking for dinner cooked by the aide,a rinse basin left on the floor,and laundry unfinished in the basement.All I ask is to keep my mom and her room clean,make sure she gets her noon medication,wash the breakfast and lunch dishes before they go and take out the trash.I come home to finish the work they are being paid to doThis place should be shut down.Please do not choose this agency ,they are a big disappointment.Three aides in 30 days.I am very upset and frustrated about the care my mom has received.
Heather Edwards: Absolutely themost unprofessional company I have dealt with. The people they hire are anyone literally off the street. A week ago my mother in law was cussed at by a worker and threatened. The girl didn't know I was at the door listening. When she was told to leave she flipped us off. Called the company only for them to laugh literally at my elderly mother in law like she was a joke. Horrible horrible people. Elderly and disabled mental abuse is not funny.

Michael Forman: I have had 3 home visits upon my release from the hospital and each has been very professional: 1) Called me to make an appointment; 2) On time for appointments made; 3) Thoroughness of care; 4) Follow-up call by Supervisor. I could not be more happy with my PHP Medicare Advantage selection.
Judi Roberts: TERRIBLE! Take down wrong phone numbers, so don't get approval. Expect you to sit at home and wait for a call. Call when you're out and expect to schedule an appt in an hours time. Call 10 minutes before scheduled appt to cancel. Therapist lie saying you refused appt...NEVER happened! Case mgr is extremely rude! Would NEVER recommend this place to anyone...the WORST ever!!! If you can get your loved one out, take them to Sheridan Hospital for PT/OT or Spectrum Greenville for PT/OT & Speech that's where we will be going back to.

I would expect routine weekly appointments to be managed by them.Overall very happy with the home healthcare nurses and especially the quick response to after hours issues.

Benjamin Hall: Until recently, I had great respect for Dr. Coleman. While most of my visits to PCM Medical lasted 2-4 hours, I was generally impressed with her quality of care and attention to detail. I was a patient of Patricia's for over two years. I was punctual to my appointments, I came informed and with questions, and I respected the general workflow and the inadequacies of her office relative to other practices (lack of equipment, etc.). In 2020, I began experiencing surprise appointment cancellations. Although clearly overbooked, I accepted each cancellation as simply the cost of doing business. With each reschedule and subsequent appointment, I observed Dr. Coleman rushing through my appointment. After one visit, I was convinced that she had forgotten critical details within my medical record. Fast forward to August 2021 and a very serious case of poison ivy (my second episode with Dr. Coleman): After several failed attempts to contact her office, I finally spoke with an office admin. I informed them of my condition and that it was worsening. I was told that I'd be contacted as soon as Dr. Coleman was available. I called two more times and received the same response. 24 hours passed. As I waited, the poisonous rash migrated up my arm to my shoulder. All that I required was a simple oral corticosteroid which had been prescribed to me previously. So, I reached out to PCM again. And again I was told that the doctor would be in touch. In the end, the once empathetic Dr. Coleman never contacted me and she has yet to follow up..
T Davis: it's unfortunate that people complain about the wait times when they are actually the cause of the wait times. I've seen Dr. Coleman since 2006 and she's AMAZING and compassionate. So much so that she listens to everything her patients have to say during the visit even if it's just talking about their pets. This unfortunately causes others waiting to see her to get frustrated while they simultaneously (and selfishly) do the same thing. I've become accustomed to simply taking the day off on my scheduled appointments with her and if I see impatient patients I'll just wave them ahead of me. I mean, she's worth the wait in my opinion and she'll be my doc until she retires.
Amanda E.: Dr. Coleman is absolutely amazing. She truly cares about her patience and provides the best care around. She is attentive and helpful. She is very up to date with everything going on in the medical field and it shows in her ability to properly diagnose her patients.The only true con to her practice is the fact that appointments quickly turn into 2.5 hours+ of a wait time. The wait time is incredibly unfortunate, but it’s worth it to see her. You just really have to set some time aside.
Lady Gaga: Mixed feelings about this doctor's office. It doesn't usually take long to get in to see Dr. Coleman. However the wait time is awful. Expect your window time to run roughly 2 hrs behind. If you are able to get seen sooner, not counting the time you have to wait in the room, than you're having a good day. Plan your day accordingly and realize if you can't do this then you need to go some where else. The claim is that the doctor spends time with each patient and that can cause the delay. I have noticed several people having the same window time, I have also timed my interaction with the doctor and how long she tends to be in other rooms. I believe it is due to over booking. Dr. Coleman is the only doctor at this location, she is not interested in having another doctor at her practice. This means if something comes up the appointments are canceled. You may or may not get a call. Some times I did sometimes I went to a locked office. Trying to reschedule is not always the easiest. It depends on the office staff. Some of the ladies were amazing and would get back to me the next day. While others left me debating if I should just go in to schedule the appointment. You have to call the doctor's office to refill any prescriptions, the pharmacist will not get authorization. It can take several months to receive your bill in the mail. I had one that was around 10 months old. I am used to this so I anticipated it's arrival some point before the end of the year. I think I covered a majority of what would be considered a headache. Now the good. Dr. Coleman is a wonderful doctor. She will actually listen to you and attempt to figure things out. While other doctors brushed me off she actually did testing and helped me. The only reason I don't see her any more is because I had to move. Granted I didn't have kids so my time was my own. I am still looking for a doctor that actually acknowledges me in the manner that she had. I actually felt like she reviewed my file before entering the room. My current doctor said something about me gaining weight since my last appointment, I was down 40 pounds. I was flabbergasted. This is a long rant but I wanted to try to be as honest as I could.
Ms. Unique: This is an amazing doctor! If you want someone that will truly take the time out to hear you and care about her patients this is the doctor for you. I WOULDN'T TRADE HER FOR ANYTHING IN THE WORLD! Dr. Coleman will be my doctor until she retires!!!!!

I have very rarely felt totally supported and cared about as an employee. I highly recommend working for this company. I know I am staying with them as long as I am working in the health care field.

Shermane Fouche: My sister an I met with Nick, the sales rep for Brightstar. We were so impressed! They got us a caregiver within 2 weeks. Unfortunately she had a family emergency in Illinois and she was no longer available. Unfortunately, the communication and service from the office was at best spotty from then on out. They said they sent people 2 times and 2 times these people didn't show up and I had to call the office to find out what was going on. Once they sent someone and they didn't tell me who and if they were sending anyone for that day so I was not at all prepared for anyone to arrive. I was truly confused so I turned that person away. They understood I needed a vaccinated caregiver. Although I think they tried their best the company did not live up to the sales pitch.
Chuck Hill: Quality of care is actually 5 stars, however I preferred regular contact from front-line staff, or a supervisor of front-line staff, about how my loved one was doing. This is important so I could answer any questions they had and give guidance when needed.There was much flexibility in their care, which we liked. Thank you.
Heather Holliday: BrightStar Care provides excellent home care services to clients around the Greater Lansing Area. As a nurse in the hospital I, and many of my colleagues, have referred our patients to them with great success once they discharge home. They are very timely in their responses to our calls/emails and have always been very professional to deal with. I would recommend BrightStar Care of East Lansing to other families looking for additional assistance in the home for their loved ones.
Jane May: My dad is a veteran. We had a home health aide set up for him. The first day the aide was scheduled, she didn't show. They said it was a covid exposure. Then she came early when she was rescheduled and my father sent her away. Then she had been scheduled with someone else at the same time so she didn't come. Now she was sick. So she showed 1 of 4 times. The office was rude and difficult when I contacted them. My husband and I had taken two days off work for this because he doesn't live near us.

As a medical professional, I can truly appreciate their level of professionalism and give them my highest recommendation.

Megan Sheredy: They are not based on what there customer wants or needs. They do not pay enough for gas an there workers only get 20 hours of drive time for all clients. They limit what your love one can do. There is no consistency in when there workers show to work!
