David McCarthy: Refused to accept a bottle return at 8:05pm, almost two hours before they closed. They claimed they were only required to accept bottles during certain hours of the day. Since I had biked there with the bottles, I had no room to buy new containers without simply forfeiting my deposit. This is the kind of customer service we get after giving millions of dollars in public subsidies to a multi-billion dollar corporation.

John S: Too many homeless people just hanging out all day, charging their phones and whatever else they have with them. Used to enjoy sitting down to relax with a cup of coffee but got tired of people wanting to sit at the table with me to charge their phone. The little cafe area used to have a microwave, but due to the homeless population, they took it out. Why won’t management do something about this? I’m sorry these folks are homeless but enough is enough. You can barely enter the store without being accosted for money, cigarettes, food, etc. it’s the same people all day, everyday. The store imposed a 1 hour limit but the people just leave after an hour and come back. Prices are also very high and selection is a bit limited. Produce is the high point of the store for me, it’s fantastic. Sadly I won’t go in anymore bc things are just out of hand.

Darla Dowker Jackson: This place is great for finding nearly everything you need, without that feeling of "embarking on an epic quest, possibly never to be heard from again" feeling of the larger Meijer stores. They also have a great selection of local foods, and often there are weekend days when area vendors have food samples. The downside is that nothing ever goes on sale, and it lacks the wide variety of its larger cohorts. So depending on your shopping needs, this may or may not be a great fit for you.
Jim Lott: Some unusual groceries available but certainly not everything from a normal store. Eat in area looked good but I'll have to try it another day.

Andrew Rushlow: So I was told to check this place out by a friend of mine. I popped in and the selection was fun and new for me. BUT the meat selection. I didn’t make a scene and I ended up buying the “ribeye” steaks he sold me but he is selling chuck steaks and selling them as ribeye for the price of ribeye and ripping people off. I will not be coming back to this place

Judy Heppinstall: My first visit to Queen Market was exceptional. I was greeted by very friendly and knowledgeable manager who had my competitive priced meat order, individually wrapped and ready to go. I was glad to find out the beef meat I purchased was grass fed and came from local farms in Michigan. The store itself is well laid out, very clean and easy to navigate. I am so happy I found this Market with their exceptional quality of meat and very friendly service. I am looking forward to my next visit.

The family just loved the exceptional quality, flavor, texture and authenticity of the food. WOW! Not what I expected from such a small place. Apparently the owner worked in restaurants in Las Vegas for several years. Looking forward to our next feast.

Steve Richards: Westlund's Apple Market is what every grocery store should strive to achieve. The store is unbelievably clean every time you enter the store. The isles are wide and well thought out for easy use. The meat department always has the freshest high-quality meat and sausage. Speaking of the sausage which is made in house, it is one of the best selections. If you like deli food, this is your place. Make sure to try a chicken pot pie if you ever are lucky enough to have one. They go super fast for a reason. Everyone in the store has a positive attitude and always says hello. Step back in time to what a grocery store used to be and enjoy your visit

Michael Steele: Bought some random "Tres Leche" cake thing in a cup they had in the cooler. Noticed when I got home and took a closer look, it had Walmart labels on it and it was even expired. Shop at your own risk, that right there tells you they're getting food from sketchy sources. Wouldn't be surprised if they got it out of the Walmart dumpster.

Selina Terry: I went grocery shopping yesterday and purchased $100 worth of meat. I purchased a rack of spareribs that claimed it was supposed to expire on the 10th and I didn’t notice anything weird at the store. When I got home I was putting the meat away I noticed that the ribs had a funny smell but I just thought it was because they were still a little bloody. I stuck the ribs in the fridge and pulled them out today to make for dinner, once I pull the plastic off I notice the pungent and bearing smell of rot and the back was super slimy. I contacted great giant to speak to someone to see if I could return and they requested me to bring a receipt. I don’t know about you but when I’m grocery shopping I don’t plan on returning anything so I don’t keep a receipt. So here I am after working hard all day coming home think I’m gonna make food for my family to notice the meat that I bought was rotten. I go here at least once a week to pick up items but I doubt I’m going to be returning after this incident. Having the wrapper with the expiration date and the meat uncooked and untouched should definitely be enough for me to be able to get my money back. 17$ of my hard earned money wasted.

Jenna Orr: I actually live in Grand Rapids and pick up groceries specifically from this Kroger. After have so many failed pick up attempts at a different store in Grand Rapids, I gave this kroger a shot. I have had maybe 8 to 10 flawless pick ups. Orders come out within 1-2 minutes of arrival, items are rarely out of stock, and their substitutions are realistic and usually in the customer's favor. It's been great and I'm very grateful.

Every lane is empty. Just a kid playing on his phone in front of the "10 items or less" automated checkout machines.Greed has taken over this store. They can't even think big picture.You'd think they would WANT us to fill up our carts with lots of stuff, but NO...they make it really difficult to stock up on groceries, instead.Saving a buck, and losing customers. Great plan!

Julie Powers: I've had better luck with Curbside but needed to get a few things are a bit difficult to source. Not a lot of options in the produce section, the self-checkout lines were jammed up, and almost no one was masked (except me and a few others, no staff). I can't feel safe buying meat, deli items, and prepared foods from people who don't take basic safety precautions. Fine for prepackaged items.

Kent Beeksma: Came here to pick a prescription that my Kroger near me did not have in stock and I arrived just as they were getting to go on there lunch break but they started to assist me then the pharmacist was very rude and asking me a bunch of questions to which I did not have the answer for and I was told to come back after 1:30pm when their break was done. Very rude in my opinion. I apologize for showing up right as there lunch break was about to start and he could have simply said as I walked up that they were about to close for lunch and I would have waited. Instead I got a rude attitude because I did not have answers for him on the spot. This review is only for the pharmacy not the store it self.

I get all my baking supplies from flour and sugar to butter and cream at Aldi. The staff work hard and the customers are cheerful (probably from saving money). Inventory turnover is high so everything is stocked nice and fresh multiple times a week.

Susan Mitchell: I can't say I am very familiar with this store, but it's not bad. The brands here aren't the kind I normally go for, so I can't say it's great, but not bad either. Average prices, I'd say. Don't forget to bring bags; I'm still not used to having to provide my own. It is kind of annoying each time, but I manage. The quarter in the cart is brilliant cause 9/10, people bring their carts back, and Aldi's doesn't have to pay someone to retrieve them lol, brilliant!

Michael Matkowski: They are unfortunately not following the return policy outlined by the company. Had receipt and unopened item. Was willing to accept cash or store credit but told that it could only be refunded to the card (not an option for me). Forced to keep the item. Asked if there was any other way to return it or if I could speak to a manager and was told that she was a manager and nothing could be done to rectify the situation. Will not be shopping there again unless it is rectified by the company and will be spreading this information among friends here in East Lansing (will update if this is corrected by customer service).
heroangel20: Nice place but you really have to go on the right day at the right time, otherwise youll be hard pressed to find everything you want. if you go at the right time, the place is awesome.
Brian Moore: Although Fresh Thyme Market had a decent selection of quality produce, I gave them 2 stars because they did not have actual cashiers working their checkout lanes. I begrudgingly used the self checkout, but will avoid ever returning to this store because of this lack of basic service.

Gary Fredericks: I don’t know if they’re under new management or what but the produce here is AWFUL anymore! It’s all moldy and wilted. Last Sunday I couldn’t find even ONE bell pepper that didn’t resemble a wrinkled raisin and they were all mushy. Their apples are unfit for deer bait. Even the stuff that spears good seems to rot within two days. Cauliflower, good luck finding done without black mold on it. Also, they went to all self checkout. Im just done with this place. I’ve spent tens of thousands of dollars over the years here and now I’ll be moving on to the other farmers market on the west side of one of the other produce sellers in Lansing.

Z: I and my family have been shopping at this store for almost 20 years (before some of their employees were born) but since they started the Self Check Out I, my family and my colleagues rarely go to this place and I recommend it to others not go! Employees at self-checking look at all your items one by one and think that all the people who go there are thieves!!! It’s been a few times this issue has happened to me and my Coworkers and we really are sorry for this place to have such a weak management Because we have never seen such disgusting behavior anywhere. I don't even need your special discounts and with the two months profit of my business I can buy your entire shop! Before you judge customers as thieves, try to understand who they are and where they come from.

J and B: Worst experience ever! Bought over $200 of groceries, had to scan every item. No check out open! Only self check out! Lady watched me like a hawk while scanned every item! So overpriced! Not worth it!
Robert Hughes: I’ll take my business to Whole Foods in the future. After driving 40 minutes for a specific item in the deli I discovered that department doesn’t open until 10am and no one was willing to help me. Rather than wait around for another 30 minutes for that one item I put all of my items back and left. I’ll drive a little further to WF- at least I can get consistent service there.

Ted K: I went there from work at noon hoping to pick up a sandwich and some fruit. After the lady next to me took my place in line (the line went all the way into the aisle and she said she was at the end of the line and I was not even in line) for the self scanning, I looked for a cashier at noon on Wednesday. No cashiers, self scan only. Long lines for self scanning. I left without purchasing anything because scanning is not my job! Other than that, the store displays looked nice.
