C M: The food here is among THE best. So far I haven’t had anything I didn’t like. With that being said, the service leaves much to be desired. The staff seemed visibly bothered every time I ask something. Towards the end after I paid the bill, one of the workers was trying to get me to pay more than the tip I gave. I felt that that was very rude and unprofessional as tipping is optional. Please don’t bully the customers into paying your workers a live-able wage! Thanks!
Harrison Scott: My wife and I shared the 36 piece sashimi special and we loved it. Sashimi is our regular choice at all sushi restaurants. First time here and we will be back for sure!Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 4/5 …More

angel tran: I always get the stone bowl bipbimbop here, spicy pork, spocy korean fried chicken, or the budae chigae for two (a spicy hot pot soup dish that uses the grill) it says for two but it could easily feed three to four people. Their portions are always big and they have good kimchi. Easily one of my favorite Korean restaurants to go to. We always dine in since they charge a bit extra for takeout.
Dálety Aveiro: This restaurant is pretty close to my house. I have been there twice and both times were pretty disappointing. Very bad service! Although I live so close to this place, I won’t be going there anymore, even if I have to drive miles to go to a Korean restaurant.

Neils Heiselt: The best Korean food I've had in my life, the best part in my opinion are the amazing sauces, it's unique for every dish, and so good I'd order just the sauce. Now the rest of the food is phenomenal as well, I'm really picky when it comes to seafood, but their shrimp and squid are amazing. I think it's my favorite restaurant I've ever been to. It's not cheap, but the portions are so large I always have leftovers.Vegetarian options: The tteokbokki was phenomenal, as well as some noodles with I believe just black bean sauce? I believe both of those were vegetarian (please double check with staff before ordering). Now, I normally really like to have meat of some kind when I order, but both dishes were so amazing and filling I definitely didn't need it (note: I got them both in different occasions and had quite a bit of leftovers both times).

BAPS Home Style Korean BBQ Cuisine 밥스 식당: what do users think?
James Soddy: I really enjoyed the food and the experience of table grilling. I felt the service left a lot to be desired. We let our server know that we hadn't done Korean barbecue before and we could use an explanation. Her response amounted to suggesting that since there were two of us we should order two entrees. A while later someone unceremoniously dumped a load of food and utensils without explanation. It wasn't that complicated, and we figured it out, but I would have preferred just a little bit more handholding.
C M: this place USED to be my fave korean food place in all of EL. In the past 3-4ish visits, i have been so disappointed w their service. The quality of the food is one thing, but in the past they used to allow me to make slight modifications to the food as there are some food items i’m not allowed to have and can’t eat. During the last few visits I have had to return plates of food because they contained food items i couldn’t have and the servers are not always transparent about what’s in the menu items even after i explicitly repeat i can’t have certain foods and i just need to be sure for my safety. The last time i went, they said they are not accommodating these food modifications anymore. I get that but it was very disheartening for me to hear. I will seldom return to this place.
shivam bajaj: This was my second time here. We ordered Bibimbap, pork katsu, and ox tail soup for the table and everything was delicious. We were in a rush so didn't barbeque but it looked interesting. The sides are delicious, as always, but we had to ask for more.Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5Recommended dishes Bibimbap …More
T B: Over priced food for little to no food at all. Also the food didn’t taste good at all, not even bbq. No seasoning on the beef brisket at all, and not good sauces or seasonings to even add to it.. also the spicy fried squid didn’t taste good at all and took over 45 minutes to cook. I don’t like sitting at a restaurant watching my food out of boredom take that long and then not even taste good..I couldn’t really expect much from a college town that just wants $ and not even good food. I’d say this place is a fail at “korean bbq” I didn’t see any authenticity in it at all. Literally left and went to get food somewhere else because the portions were so small
Justin Hall: Food: 4/5|Service: 4/5|Atmosphere: 4/5More
KJam Fam: The yukgaejang is so good! Plenty of soup to share for two people.
Mia Bailey: Food was excellent! Staff was very friendly and helpful. Price was reasonable. Will definitely come again. Would recommend to anyone looking for good kbbq!
Sue Lim: Best Korean restaurant! Delicious food and awesome people.

Brian Lee: 미국와서 오랜만에 먹은 육개장 맛있었네요!
Hannah: I don't like many restaurants, but I can confidently say BAPS is one of the best I've been to in Michigan. As a Korean, I can also say it's authentic and matches my taste well. Come here for some good quality Korean food!
Caleb Kim: 고기 맛있어요. 다른 메뉴도 한국에서 파는거보다 맛있어요!
Luke Ahn: Loved the food and the service :)
Worldwide Jinu: Must try bulgogi!
claire h: Must try the bulgogi!!

siam par: great service! love the food too.
Van Dim: . I've had kimchi jigae from other Korean restaurants but this place is top tier. Make sure to call beforehand to see if they're open because the hours that's posted on Google isn't accurate (probably from a previous owner or something
Aurora Pino: I don’t typically review restaurants. Either they had to do something very wrong or very right. This restaurant did something very right. The food and service was truly phenomenal and I couldn’t wait to review this place so I’m doing it inside the restaurant. My all time favorite is the Duk Bok Ki which had an obnoxious amount of flavor and was very delicious. I also ordered the chicken ramen and the spice was amazing. This was as great as the food I had in Korea and the staff was very friendly and helpful. This is the number one place to eat within East Lansing hands down. I haven’t tried Korean food scratch that any food in East Lansing that is better. 12/10 highly recommend
Harry Huang: Love it! The best Korean restaurant in Lansing! Recommend the Kimchi fried rice and spicy beef noodle! Everyone should try it!
Doug Milligan: Very authentic Korean food. The sign on the outside though says, Big Mama's House.
守鸡大汪任正韭: love it
J Kim: Very delicious tteokbboki! Thank you!
Sophie L: So-so for everything. Overpriced for that kind of food
David J Yuan: Friendly family restaurant. Kind generous owners. They add their own personal touch to the food.
Anoop Sinha: Amazing homestyle bibimbop, healthy and affordable. Vegetarian options. Owners are friendly.
Machu: Casual Korean diner (you order at the counter). The BEST korean food in town and staff are always very nice.
Kathy Y: Tasty. Genuine Korean.
Michael F: Best Korean food in the area. Friendly staff and relaxed dining atmosphere.
norah w: Amazing! Traditional Korean food with sharing size portions. I got the Japchae and it was really good. Ddukkbokki was really good and spicy.
Nick (Nick): Now called Big Moms and heard many people talking about it. Been a long time since I had Korean and this place rocks. A little more than the average chinese place but well worth it.
Rebecca Elizalde: The staff were really friendly and they kept asking us if we needed anything else and they got our food right away and there food taste really good
Mike Kostecke: They gouged me for $3.00 for a bottle of green tea. A worker asked why I was charged so much and she was told that he can charge anybody as much as he wants. Then when I went back to my car that was parked in one of their spaces, I had a $45.00 parking ticket. The restaurant had E. Lansing Parking Enforcement ticket everyone parked in their lot. I got one even though I was a customer of theirs. The restaurant looks filthy and smells like rotting food. Eat at your own risk.
박정현: It is awesome. All of the korean plates that I ordered is the best ever since I came to MI. Reasonable price, proper seasoning, great foods. I recommend this place :)
Kiera Fisher: Awesome, authentic Korean food. We tried the Bibimbab and Bulgogi, and both were delicious! It's family owned, and all the staff are incredibly friendly. We will definitely return
Susie Kim: They have good authentic Korean food at a reasonable price. The lady is a very nice person though she might not look so at first.

Jakup Abedin: I ordered takeout from this restaurant and thought it was pretty good. I liked how it was packaged. I ordered my usual go-to at a Korean Restaurant. Bibimbap, Short Ribs and Dumplings. The Dumplings were chicken, steamed, and crunchy around the edges 😋 Short Ribs carried a nice taste but needed to be a little bit sweeter. I can taste Gochujang was inside the marinade used -it can be overkill if my Bibimbap also incorporates that sauce also. I enjoyed the purple rice from the Bibimbap as it had a unique taste but not a fan of zucchini in it. I'd add shittake mushrooms and cucumbers instead. Overall experience was wonderful and from general Uber take out -that's difficult since food is generally cold by the time it gets to you.Update: I just downgraded this restaurant since I got burned short ribs. What I mean by this is: Shorts Ribs once cooked in one pan or grill tends to have burned bits in high heat. My Short Ribs were all cooked in either reused pot, reused oil or there was too much marinade. Either way a good cook typically can tell the difference. I've made Short Ribs many times in my life and if it's in medium heat, it won't burn as bad. I also had Chicken Wings and it taste like they went with sweet and sour sauce so I wasn't impressed.P.S. This place doesn't have White Rice supposedly
David Jr: First time coming here , very pleasant experience! A little pricey but definitely worth it for the quality and taste !!
Tushar Kailu: Tried them for the first time today. Absolutely loved the food! Looks like I'll be going there quite often.

Reed Turchetti: We had a great dinner, lots of good food, friendly people, relaxed environment and they have really good coconut donuts!Vegetarian options: Great options!
Alex Bane: I used to live in Korea for nearly 5 years, and I've been struggling to find a decent Korean restaurant in the area. I have sadly yet to find one, but Aloha Cookin definitely fills that void. Hawaiian barbecue is quite similar to Korean barbecue in many aspects, but you won't get any sides of garlic or kimchi or lettuce wraps. What you will get, however, is an explosion of FLAVOR! This place has THE best short ribs and barbecue pork I have ever tried! Their mac salad is heavenly as well. Kudos to the chef. 👏
BilliJo Tourtillott: A few of us drove from out of state just to visit this restaurant. It did not disappoint!! It took me back to being back in Hawaii. The food was just like what you would get at the local eateries on the island. We all shared loco moco, katsu chicken, fried pork dumplings, Kailua pig, macaroni salad, garden salad with lemon ginger dressing, chili chicken, huli huli chicken, and huli huli wings (we went there on two different occasions). Everything was delicious. I was sad that we couldn’t try their Spam misubu, but it was due to circumstances beyond their control. In addition, the atmosphere and the staff were very pleasant. I would absolutely recommend this restaurant.
John McCann: As someone who has lived in the Lansing area his whole life, I’m not kidding when I say this is East Lansing’s greatest gem. Everything from the buttered shrimp to the fried mahi and chicken katsu was outrageously good. The shrimp is the best I have ever had anywhere! Highly recommend and probably the best East Lansing/Lansing has to offer. Five stars
Anthony Nye: This is a great place for Pacific Islander cuisine! A friend and I found this place by chance and we glad we tried it. Definitely going to go back.Food: 5/5|Service: 4/5|Atmosphere: 5/5Recommended dishes Steamed Dumplings, Kalua Pig Special Plate …More
Jairus Gerona: Has a great setting, the music is relaxing, and most importantly the food is out of this world! So good and never that busy, food comes out immediately.
joe got that: Amazing food great quick service and over all I wish I could rate it a ten because of how good this place is love it!!!
Sandeep Banik: Aloha Cooking primarily serves Hawaiian cuisine and is located in downtown East Lansing, beside BAPS.I went in for a poke bowl and they offered tuna, tuna and salmon, or veggie poke bowl, which came with a miso soup and a choice of sauce.Atmosphere and Decor: The restaurant looks neat and clean, with a warm and quiet atmosphere. The seating is the classic booth, which seats four. The restroom is relatively clean and spacious.Service: The staff were friendly and accommodating. The food came out quite quickly, and they were able to leave out certain items from a particular dish if you have any allergies.Food and Flavors: The poke tuna bowl was delicious, with very tender tuna and a great mix of flavors with the veggies and rice. The roasted sesame sauce was a great choice for this bowl. The poke bowl with miso soup is a big meal for one. The restaurant does not serve any alcoholic drinks.Price: The price is on the higher side for an entrée, but considering the quality and quantity of food, it was a great experience. Conclusion: The restaurant's location is great, and the staff is friendly. The food was delicious, and we had a great time.Vegetarian options: Vegetarian poke bowl available.
