Delta Retirement Center: what do users think?
kia cook: management is a joke and allows harassment. will fire you if it is brought to management attention. don’t apply here and do not send your loved one here.
Sam Derry: Terrible... just awful people working in the front they sound sweet but they are anything but.
Katherine Randall: My mother was here for 5 years. She had many friends, staff and residents. THANK YOU for all you did for her.😘
Tia Johnson: I dont even want to put one star down for this place. Do not ever put your family at this place. They thrive on being mean to there residents by mentally abusing them and threatening them. I regret ever putting my family here and cannot move her out fast enough.
Lois Courter: Wonderful, caring and safe place for my mother! Good food, caring staff and very clean. They have also been consistent in safe practices during this Covid 19 pandemic. Thank you Delta Senior Community staff and management.
Lori Van Houten: Perhaps because it is a family-owned living facility, Delta provides a welcoming, homelike and caring environment for the seniors who live there. Important to me as the daughter of a resident is that Delta makes it possible to maintain an independent lifestyle - the residents only get the help they need and request. Most of the staff have been there a long time, know the residents well, and all are respectful, helpful, and encourage residents to engage. And there is much to engage in! From armchair travel to local outings, from happy hour to religious services, from manicures to guest performances, a resident can stay busy 24/7 in intellectually stimulating activities. The building is clean and well-maintained, meals are varied and quite tasty, and residents always seem to find someone with like interests. My sisters, Mom and I considered a number of places in the Lansing area and are so pleased we found Delta.
Mary Baird: First-rate place for seniors! Staff is courteous helpful and the facility is beautiful

Holiday, The Marquette: what do users think?
joe jackson: My grandma and her new boyfriend she met there are living a great life there. Good food, great service, many activities, clean and friendly.
M Janice Courter: I want to tell people that you definitely won't get what you're promised. I don't know that it will change any time soon, even though they are currently looking for a new general manager. They fired the old one. There's not enough staff to be able to get you the promised amenities. There's are no activities, because the activities director quit. The manager was too nasty for her to continue. There's barely any wait staff or kitchen staff for the same reason. There's no housekeeping unless you make a stink. It's been 3 weeks since I've had clean sheets and had my bed changed. The "chef cooked" meals are atrocious. I thought the meals would at least be as good as what I could cook at home, no such luck. Today for supper I ordered a braised chicken thigh. I ended up with a cold, hard, dried up, boneless chicken breast. No vegetable, although there are vegetables on the menu.I am definitely not getting the services for which I'm paying. If this doesn't change soon they will be losing my money.
Ann Jones: This place has many amenities for seniors.
Brenna Reichert: Incredibly toxic environment. Horrible management. 100% turn over rate.
Nicky Thompson: Scenic setting and friendly staff offered tour and food when we shopped for a place for our parents. Beautiful landscape and nice facility.
John Howell: Quite nice. The staff is wonderful
Robert Crummel: Looks really nice but never been inside. Just part of my morning walk
Will Gregg: I was here for a delivery order. The property was clean and quiet. Seems like a nice safe place to live.
Steven Gardner: Wonderful place, great staff, tasty meals. Clean and a comfortable temperature the whole building. Well done staff.
Dawn Davis: My mother lives here. For the most part it is great; however services aren't what was offered when my mother started living there for the cost.
Jayann Mitchell: I am not sure about the food.
Bert Smith: People are nice
Coconut Lover: I agree with the man further down speaking about management. It is poorly ran. They're uncared for because and i quote from the manager “ it is independent living, they want help they can go somewhere else “ because my mother was bedridden after surgery and couldn't get her mail.. nobody would bring her mail up to her room out of kindness. She is fed slop?! I showed up one day during lunch delivery and it was disgusting and cold.. Nothing but canned fruit since shes gotten there because she can only have fresh! The on sire caretakers are amazing and the place looks good but behind the scenes it is disgusting what management says and does. and im embarrassed to say i put my mother in a place like this.. please speak to staff and residents before putting a loved one into a new home. Marcia needs to be let go.
Laura W: Looks like a place where people can stay active and be taken care of like they deserve 😊
Luther Brown: Now I give this place a (2) because of Management and meals. The facility is clean and the onsite Care Givers (Tender Heart, separate company) are the BEST! These ladies make sure the residents under their care are well cared for.It would be better if Management cared about the Residents more and took time to know the needs and limitations. I would also think the dining selections would be better, considering the amount of money they are collecting per resident. There are many other facilities in the area, but this was best at the time. Remember to do onsite visits and talk to the residents and onsite Care Givers, they know the day to day. Feel free to ask any questions.
Veronica Zollman: I work there... They go the extra mile
Mary Johnson: The staff are very friendly, the residents are happy, and someday I hope to be in a place like this.
Bridgette Green: Seems like my grandma is in a comfortable spot
xosro d: Ok
Michael Vader Misner: Looks nice.
Dave Berger: Mom has been here about 18 months now. I looked at a bunch of places before choosing the Marquette and could not be happier with the decision. Very clean, food is really good and family is welcome. The staff is caring and they have Tender Hearts, a care facility, on site to assist with additional needs.

Independence Village of East Lansing: what do users think?
Carrie Hill: The place is great for Mom. The food leaves a lot to be desired.
FIRST SGT: Friendly knowledgable staff, answered all question
Marc Thomas: Marvelous place for its residents. My mom has lived for almost two years. It's a safe place (including during COVID) and has good service and activities.
jim witte: My parents felt right at home at Independence Village. The staff and residents are welcoming, gracious and friendly.
Michael Sheridan: My father moved into Independence Village in December of 2020. Like many people who have to make arrangements for elderly parents, I was nervous. Moving to Independence Village was the perfect place for my dad to live. I have been so impressed with the kindness and concern I have witnessed for the residents from all of the staff in every department. As an example in July the staff arranged for us to have a birthday party for my father. They served a meal and a special birthday cake for all of us to enjoy. There are lots of activities available for residents. Since my father is a bit of a loner, the staff reaches out to him to get him involved. I have even received pictures showing my 96 year old father playing a version of volley ball. Having my father at Independence Village has provide our family peace of mind knowing that the staff truly cares about him and has his welfare in mind.
Paul Gonzales: Independence Village of East Lansing has been a wonderful place for my mother over these past 5 years. Maggie Quinn is an outstanding Director who leads by example. She is very visible around the facility and always has a smile and time for a quick word for residents and visitors. She has developed a friendly, caring and helpful team. We were treated with kindness and respect and as they welcomed my mother to their community. Everything we were told about the facility including cost, programs and what we could expect, happened just like we were told, no surprises at all. This honesty and openness has been consistent throughout the years.
Carolyn Sinder: My mom had many happy years here until she needed assisted living. She enjoyed all the staff and enjoyed her many friends. All staff were kind and supportive. My family appreciated the steps the staff took to keep residents safe during covid. I am very grateful to everyone at Independence Village for their kindness even as we moved her out of IVEL.
Julia Hernandez: Went up this past weekend, and ate with Dad.. the servers we very attentive and the food very delicious.. Generous servings and well cooked.
Julie Niswonger: Everyone needs a place to live
Maggie Quinn: Great place to work and even better place to live.
Linda Mummaw: Highly recommend Independence Village of East Lansing. The staff is caring, supportive and adaptable. They work tirelessly to engage residents, offer activities, socialization and decent meals.
Sharon Tuma: My 96 year old very active Mother loves living at Independence Village. She loves all the activities that they offer because she loves being busy. The staff is very friendly and willing to help. The maintenance man is amazing. He goes above and beyond by coming in on his day off if he is needed. I highly recommend Independence Village if you are looking for a safe, reliable home for your loved one.
Chuck Theis: I have had elderly relatives and friends spend their retirement years at a number of places in the East Lansing area. Suffice to say, none of them have been as good as Independence Village in East Lansing, MI.Under the excellent leadership of Maggie Quinn, they have been a leader in how they have treated residents during the Covid pandemic. While other places have experienced many cases of Covid, Independence Village has had very few cases. While they have followed State Regulations, they let visitors in when possible and worked to keep residents socially and mentally active. As a result, their residents have stayed remarkably healthy during this challenging time.I believe that the staff functions as a team and that they genuinely care for their residents. It is a pleasure to visit Independence Village in East Lansing and when you can't visit, you are confident that your loved ones are in good care!
Denise Nester: I cannot thank Maggie and her wonderful team at IVEL enough for all they do to keep the residents safe and to care for them in a loving and positive manner. Both my mom and dad reside there, and I am grateful for this everyday!
Doug Mason: We selected this location after looking at several in the area, it seems to be the best balance between independence and well managed. The ED Maggie did an amazing job at keeping all the residents free of Covid-19 in a state that was one of the worst and within a vulnerable population. She is deservedly well respected by the guests and families. We were kept updated on a weekly basis and when the vaccine became available, the residents were the first in line and had it completed onsite. My mom is always happy, there are lots of social activities, you can be involved or not as much as you want. The apartments are nice. The in-house dining serves three meals a day, I've come in as a guest for a few and thought they were great. It's all the efficiency of a big organization residence with the soft-touch Midwestern care that I appreciate.
Shad B.: Did not seem very clean or welcoming. Will find somewhere else for granny!
K P: My mom's health declined greatly just as COVID-19 started spreading. I had to choose an independent living facility for my mom based solely on reviews, word of mouth, and talking to workers. I was incredibly nervous since I'd read negative reviews. But my mom is enjoying it and the staff has been so kind. Mom was quarentined in her room for 2 weeks, but the staff checked on and visited her regularly. None of this was expected, they just wanted to make sure mom was aclimating well. During this stressful time, the staff has been incredibly supportive, kind, and accommodating. The staff cares about their residents and in this time of stress and so many unknowns, that is clear.
John Howell: Friendly helpful staff. Very nicely appointed rooms
Brookie_ Pooh: Staff is great. The rooms could be bigger though. My grandma will be loving here.
Judy Jones: My parents have been taken care of in a responsible and caring fashion at Independence Village. Maggie is an outstanding Executive Director and her calm leadership during the Stay at Home order has kept her clients as safe as possible. I truly appreciate all of the extra time she took with my parents, especially my dad who is a grumpy old man. They have since moved to a facility more in tune with my mother's specific needs but I am grateful for the team at Independence Village. Thank You!
Laura Jimenez-Bonney: The residents are wonderful! Many of them are not happy with the meal options and taste of the food, but overall, they are pleased with their surroundings.

Grandhaven Living Center: what do users think?
Jinan Ibrahim: The worst place you can work or live in. The management is indescribably bad. They do not respect or appreciate anyone. Many promises without implementation. Exploitation of the employee, in addition to the filth of the place. My only regret is for the Residents. I love them all in an indescribable way.But I have had enough of the lack of respect from the administration. They know themselves and without mentioning names. If you love your family, Ida, do not think of sending them to live there. They will suffer from neglect, lack of hygiene and poor services.3 months of working in this place was one of the worst things that could happen in my life. Employees vabing inside the building, especially the second shift. Some of them disappear during work time.Residents call and no one answers them because they are simply either busy talking, eating or smoking outside the building, in addition toTheir bad response style and unfortunately the administration is fully aware of these matters
Shaniece colon: I use to work here staff doesn’t care about employees or residents especially higher up management is so rude treat staff unfair talk to them rude. Care takers are lazy call lights on for up to 45 mins at times while they finish eating or finish conversation. I loved the residents just not a nice place to work.
SJ DB: Really hard to run a place efficiently when the ED, who has no clinical experience, never comes out of her office.Residents are soaked when first shift comes in because third shift sleeps all night long. Residents are waiting 30mins - 4 hours to be changed on thirds. There’s also a HUGE BED BUG problem going on throughout the facility. They say they’re treating it but they’re really not.
Jon Jacoby: I would stay as far away from this place as possible. Staff is very rude and only want to do as little as they have to. They don't truly have there tenets best interests at heart
Maryj Tetrault: I was very impressed with all that the Grandhaven memory care facility has to offer, especially the lovely rooms with a large sunny window and window seat, caring staff, beautiful grounds with a sidewalk path, and their unique 'neighborhood' concept of the resident's apartments. Most of all, their 'community advisor' and dementia specialist, Olivia, was extremely knowledgeable, kind, accommodating, and genuinely interested in helping me make the best decision for my mother. I would highly recommend that anyone searching for a quality memory care facility, consider Grandhaven.
Julia Roelle: The staff are very young and inexperienced. But they listen and are willing to learn- that has made all the difference in the past few weeks. Most of them are very hard workers and with the kind hearts I have seen, I am happy my mom is there.
glenn miller: Me and my family visited Grandhaven. Olivia showed us all options that could work for our mom & dad. She answered all our questions and concerns of care. She went over and above. She stayed late on a Friday night to show us some other possibilities. She made herself available for questions and any thing else we needed. I recommend you take a long look at all the things Grandhaven Offer’s and ask Olivia any questions or concerns you might have.
Micaela Stevenson: Olivia was absolutely wonderful in coordinating care for my loved one as they aged. I know that they are in wonderful hands. Hoping to use this service again.
Jeanne Gratz: My mother has been residing at Grand Haven Living Center for nearly a year. Despite necessary restrictions due to Covid, I feel she has received quality care. Staff are friendly and caring and available to address any questions or concerns that I may have.I would recommend Grand Haven to anyone who is looking for a safe environment for a loved one.
ERICA GERRED: They had first round of covid vaccines done in house, then say you gotta go out and get the second one. Very expensive and if you apply for assistance for extra cash and are approved they wanna raise your rent and basically take everything you got. Night staff is also lacking in responsibility...
Betty Leonard: My 97 year old father lives in Assisted Living in Grandhaven - he receives the best care of any place he has lived. The meal choices are varied & tasty, the staff is considerate & mindful of each person's preferences & needs. You couldn't make a better choice than Grandhaven for your loved one.
A'Lynne Boles Dukes: The Grandhaven Living Center team is an absolute pleasure to be a part of, WE ARE ALL STARS in our own right! Quality care, teamwork and Christian values are the winning combination!!
linda robinson: I've been with them for many years. A great company to work for! I just love the residents!
yamuna monger: It was great place Around 2014 to 2017. But now , good luck, bulding are empty. Management doesn't care the good employees, they are besty with some, sit and eat together together, listen them only. Doesn't care what you wanted to say. I feel great I don't work any more there, to bring real change. Cooperate has to cut bad employees from top to bottom. I work about 4 years. Previous DRc used to be very supportive but 12/2019, you know what I mean. Just tried to find the mistake and terminate, I didn't hear any bad things for about 4 years until last of December best I suppose to get raise. That's how I was treated.
Monica Kidd: Love this place! Everyone is so friendly and the community has the best parties for the residents!!
Kisha Gonzalez: This is a great Community and the Staff is very helpful and they are like family.
Florence Vandecar: I was very pleased with the level of care my mother received caring and compassionate I was there quite often And seen it first hand

Bickford of West Lansing: what do users think?
Robert A Laity: We've been trying for four months to get a refund. Unable to reach anyone at the corporate office and the local Bickford does not handle refunds.
Steve B: Strongly recommend this place.. Housekeepers here truly treat people with kindness. The food was amazing.. I believe the young ladies name was Cece was our helper. She was so nice to us. Strongly recommend this place 👌
Lori Fruk: My mom was a resident at Bickford West Lansing from July 26, 2016 to January 01, 2021 and received EXCELLENT care. My heart is still with Bickford due to the awesome care mom received. Not only are the residents cared for and loved but also their family. I still go back to visit and are still shown love.Mom really came out of her shell there and I was so proud how active she was.I highly recommend Bickford West Lansing for your loved ones.
lorib: We placed my mom in this facility around April 2021. It was great at first, great care for my mom. My brother and I were very happy with this place. That’s the only reason I gave 2 stars is because it started out nice. Then there was a change in staff. My moms health deteriorated, which is normal for someone with dementia. I would visit once a year as I live in Arizona and not Michigan. My last visit was in November of 2022 for 2 weeks. I was sad to see that the care just wasn’t there anymore. At this time my mom was in bed all the time. No communication to my brother of how poorly she was doing. The aids came in to change her, they did not talk to her at all. Did not explain what they were doing to her, just started to man handle her. I could hear her calling for help in the hallway. Very sad. My mom passed on November 26, 2022. They charged her for Decembers fees with an additional $1000 added to the cost. We’ve tried to reach someone on multiple occasions but you can never reach a live person. You leave a messages and no one calls you back. It’s been almost 3 months and we still don’t have Decembers fees given back. Plus, I think my mom should’ve been moved into the memory care part a while ago but they kept her in the assisted living part and kept raising fees because she needed more care. They should’ve suggested she be moved. It’s all about the money to them. Mom was paying close to $10,000 to be man handled and robbed of her money. I just infuriates me thinking about this place, the money they owe, the untrained staff, the prop you can never get ahold of. I would not put my worst enemy in this place!!!
Jeremiah Johnson: Great staff, Great Residents, Great Times!!!!
Robby Lewis: I visit over 100 buildings in Michigan for hospice chaplain services and this building is a top notch facility from staff to the building itself. Such an amazing facility that is a family to all! GREAT place for a loved to to live!!!!

Brookdale Delta: what do users think?
Joshua Martin: Very warm and inviting facility and staff
Becky Abercrombie: I loved many of the staff members at this facility. Terry Nye (Sales Rep) was exceptionally efficient when I was trying to move my mother from out of state. She was quick to respond...even after the move was complete. We will be forever be grateful!Thank you to everyone who took care of my mother or participated in the administration of her care.Michael, LeeAnne, Kaylynn; You will all be in our prayers! And for anyone else who may remain unmentioned in this post, but will not be forgotten: Thank you for helping my mother!!!!
heather warner: Brookdale Delta has came a VERY long way! Great staff, who are compassionate, patient, loving, and VERY welcoming!!Activities ROCK!! If they we not a good community then why is there a WAIT LIST due to the fact there are NO OPEN rooms!! :)The managers are the BEST I have seen in the business. I know one of them works RIGHT along with her care staff a FEW times a WEEK!!! Just so she can stay updated on care and what's going on around the community!!If you do not believe what I am saying PLEASE GO VISIT! You will feel the warmth, love, and compassion in the AIR!! It is VERY contagious!
Gina M: Please dont bring your loved one here!!! They are under staffed not trained and resonsible for multiple deaths and gross Negligence! Please dont fall victim like my family did. We lost our dear Grandfather bc of there malpractice. No one was remorsful they lied and falsefied medical records. Please Please please dont use this facility

Burcham Hills Retirement Community: what do users think?
Connie Estrada: My experience at Burcham Hills has been wonderful. The care is great, the food is great and the therapy really works hard with me. They get me up and moving and are very caring. My family is impressed with the experience, too. If I ever need rehab again, I'm coming here. This has been a difficult time for me but the staff is helping me get through it. Kaysey is a wonderful wound nurse, too!
Ree Will: I absolutely beg of you do not bring your family here they yell at them and starve them then when someone notices they haven’t ate the aid tells them they declined there meal when they never asked they were just to lazy to feed them Iknow because i previously worked there take you family members to a loving place not this trash they are always severely under staffed it’s always 15 residents to 1 aid so your loved one will not be cared for properly.
Molly Carney: My father was a patient in The Center for Health and Rehabilitation three times in the past six months. Dad received very good care in the CHR. All his personal needs were met as well as excellent daily PT and OT (Monday-Friday). The rooms and bathrooms are very clean and spacious, with big windows. Danielle Matson is the Clinical Insurance Case Manager in the CHR and she is phenomenal. She was excellent about communicating with Dad and our family: consistently and in a timely manner. She also explained the process (multiple times:)) and answered all of our questions. Each time Dad stayed in the CHR, his mobility improved. The "care team" who set up his initial care assessments were very professional, caring, understanding, and helpful. I want to also give a shout out to Marco who was one of Dad's caring and consistent care givers and Steve the OT who encouraged Dad every step of the way. They were both great with Dad. I am sure there are many other unsung heroes, thank you to them too. Thank you for the positive experience for my father. I will recommend the CHR to others.
Madison Crosser: Burcham hills is a great community with very dedicated staff and wonderful residents! I've worked in their Bistro and I now work as a Concierge. I look forward to my job everyday!
Ashlei Vansickler: Burcham Hills is a beautiful community with caring staff, wonderful working with Beckie as their community liaison, as well as Danielle and Candy with social work! Thank you for all you do! :)
Lauren Leiby: Great place to work. And very friendly staff. Love all the special events we get to do for our residents.
Timothy Hamilton: A dedicated staff who focus on creating an exceptional lifestyle for the residents who call Burcham Hills-HOME. You feel a sense of community the moment you walk into the front door. I highly recommend Burcham Hills senior living community!
Marie blankenship: I had a bad fall 12/26 broke my ankle in 3 places sparrow was the only place that could fix it they sent me here and so thankful they did I had a small stroke. I came here for physical therapy. They treated me like family from the beginning to the end! I absolutely loved my experience!! Thank you staff!! Love you guys!!!
Greg Williams: I visited Burcham Hills in September 2022 and was blown away by the hospitality, attentiveness, and dedication of the staff, the cleanliness and beauty of the buildings and grounds, and most importantly the smiles and obvious satisfaction of the residents!
Alphonsine Busabusa: It is good facility to work. I like how HR always answers questions whenever I need help. A facility that cares both residents and employees. Keep up good work
Kimber Lucius: Let’s go Burcham! Amazing place, amazing people!
Kryslynn Lucius: My mom works at Burcham and I love hearing to silly stories about what she did that day. She makes sure the staff is happy.
Kimber L: Burcham is an amazing place to you. From the staff to the residents, you truly feel appreciated and loved!
Jacob Graham: Great place, Great home.
Shaji John: Great place to work at. Been there for 15 yrs. Friendly coworkers. Clean and beautiful environment.
Jennifer Rose: Burcham Hills is a great place to work. I have worked here for 23 beautiful years and wouldn't want it any other way!
Danielle Matson: Currently I work at Burcham hills as a clinical Insurance case manager, the team here is amazing and everyone goes above and beyond to make the resident’s smile♥️
Trice Esters: I've been working here for almost fifteen year's. I really enjoy the residents and staff. You can always go to Management or Human Resources if you need help. I love my job.☺️
Macenzie Neeley: Great place
Bernard Duffy: One of the Lansing areas gems - continuum of care from independent living through Rehabilitation. Beautiful wooded campus setting with many amenities. I'm an employee and we are considered the foundation of the Burcham experience. Check us out today :-)
Allison Ackels: Burcham Hills has a fantastic therapy department with a great staff. The culture at Burcham is good with a good employee appreciation program, helpful staff.
