Karla Albarez: Friendly and Fast, I was able to do a walk in
Haslett Family Farms: I'm out of state active duty. The SOS has had my paperwork for my boat trailer for 4 weeks now. They don't answer calls and haven't even cashed my check. I've been given orders so we are now moving and I have no way to bring my boat with me. I drove 12 hrs to try and be seen and couldn't get into an office. Now I have no title or plate and will be forced to move without.
S R: Your wait time (if you get that far on the phone call) will be 45 min. 3 hours later they finally answered. They provided a solution. A week later and sending them my payment and it is still NOT resolved. Total BS!!!! I'm going to end up having to drive to Michigan (in August) on their next available appointment.
Lorrie Simmons: I have tried to replace a drivers license using the SOS online portal, but there is NO FIELD TO DESIGNATE US CITIZENSHIP. Of course, the function will not complete because that field isn't checked. Why isn't this fixed? Good job, Michigan SOS. I retired from there, so I know how web sites are built by the lowest bidder and are full of glitches and non user-friendly interface. It would be easier to get Fred Flintstone and Barney Rubble to carve the request into stone tablets and toss through the window of the local SOS office. I will try calling tomorrow, but I doubt there will be any kind of customer service based on the usual state employee performance.

Mrs Pat McK.: Automated recording states your hold time will be 30 minutes & you can select for a call back with losing your place in line....A Lie! Selected call back & after an hour & 47 minutes get a call back & they hangup on you. Waited on the phone 3 different times for almost 2 hours due to the fact I didn't receive my renewal sticker of which I renewed over 6 weeks ago. This State Department Of Lansing Customer Services is Unacceptable and don't deserve Citizens Dollars For Outrageous Taxes.
Paige Hunter: So ... I did the kiosk thing. It told me 100 minutes. So I went to Michaels less than a mile away. Got there, Then 50. Then 13. Then WHILE I AM DRIVEING BACK, my phone is blowing up with several text messages. I’m trying to keep up with the correct “commands” (while driving) Only to find out I missed my chance to be seen and to see an employee. All the time estaments were way off.

Goddess Ford: I graduated from a Detroit public school. My house was in the flood and I lost my diploma. I been searching for over 15 years for a copy of my diploma and transcripts. I been on every website and my credentials are lost. They can't find them. I copied my diploma but it's not a good copy. I called the department of education for Michigan and the service was terrible once I finally got them on the phone. I literally will have to take my high school diploma courses all over or take my GED. Now I been to college and they can't release a copy of my diploma or transcripts to me. Jobs require I have a diploma or transcripts to get the job. They don't accept college certifications or degrees. They must have your diploma. This is ridiculous. So I am back to high School courses or GED testing. I'm disgusted. The Michigan department of education know nothing once u finally get them on the phone. If they answer. Then they wonder why people give up. The system doesn't work for the people.

I don’t see why is this department is even open. I work at schools and hospitals and I been trying to reach them for weeks now. Alexander Paradis: The worst customer service when calling about taxes. It takes 30 minutes just to figure out how their automated system will get you to someone. Most of the time it just hangs up on you.They are holding my return hostage for 5+ months to “verify” my identity. Which I’m all for verifying identity. But the fact that it takes them 20 weeks (16 weeks processing + 4 weeks to scan documents from the mail room) to look at my documents is absolutely crazy. It’s not like my return is thousands of dollars…… oh wait it is. This is the state’s scam to hold money longer since they can’t manage their own money.This could all be submitted electronically and processed very quickly.
Matt Storm: I understand it's odd to give a place like this a good review as we all hate paying taxes but this isn't praise for being taxed this is for 1 of the employees.I had an issue with a prior year return which is quite a stressful ordeal. I wasn't looking forward to calling them about this but Kellie at the call center was incredibly friendly and professional and helped me get it all worked.I really want to thank you again Kellie, I'm sure you take a lot of angry calls working there yet you stay positive and care about the people you're speaking to. Your boss is lucky to have you.PS: The last name here is not my last name if Kellie's trying to remember me, but I spoke with her Tue May 16. She did not have a problem repeating herself even after the 3rd time of doing it. I called March 20th, 2023 at 4:45. Kayla Hanchett: I received a letter a month ago about confirming my identity saying my ssn and name don’t match, went to verify my identity online with id me and they cant find my identity, now I have to send a name change form so they can complete my tax return, hopefully I get my taxes soon cause this is ridiculous.
ian honer: Terrible, i received a verification of Identity from them and took the test and now i have to mail all my documents to them? so they can take my money all year then they need to make sure i'm real when i file for a return? And it is impossible to talk to anyone, i don't understand how my tax rate can be so high but no one works in any of their offices, the only help you get is a robo-attendant. if i could give no stars i would.

Can never speak with someone even when the recorded phone options state that you will be able to speak with someone after you choose the options that are more specific to your problem. What a load of hooey. You take people's money especially the poor family's who are trying their hardest and barely making it by. Will any government agency not be corrupt??!!! susan fedewa: I have been awaiting countless months to receive my income tax refund. This year, and last year as well, they tagged the return for an identity verification. Three certified snail mails and now three faxed attempts made, multiple phone calls, no ability to interface with supervision, and still they cannot seem to get it right. I am informed that it will be at least another 6 weeks when they receive it. It makes me think that something shady is going on. My accountant informs me it is just our state government at work.

Gary Grabenstein: Cannot get help with letter I received concerning my individual michigan tax return identity. When I finally get ahold of someone for some reason the call drops. The sent me a letter wanting me to prove my identity before sending me my 1500 dollar 2021 tax return. I tried by phone and by online site. Nothing works. When I get a real person on phone the call always drops despite my being very polite and courteous. I am 73 and never been treated so bad by michigan tax return dept. of treasury before this year. They may be making it so difficult so you give up and they keep the tax return.

Orion Page: I paid four quarterly estimates on my city and state taxes for 2021. I haven't received any proof that I paid so that I can file my taxes. I have tried calling the Dept. of Treasury to find out when the statements will be released and there is no way to get a response . There is no one to talk to just an automated machine which is worthless. I know I am not the only person in Michigan with this problem. A general posting in the newspapers and on the internet would be appreciated.

Carrie Sutton: Went into the service center today to purchase a fishing license. Was met with an enthusiastic HELLO and received top notch customer service. Dee is an asset to the DNR and should be recognized for providing excellent service!!!

Gary Landry: Most incompetent unprofessional and rude DNR office I've ever dealt with, but it is in Lansing so I wasn't totally surprised!!
Nicodemus Riley: Online, the hours are listed as open Monday through Friday. If you arrive in person the office is only open Tuesday through Thursday. Tax dollars hardly at work.
Grant Plaxton: This place is useless. Only serve by appointment (per sign on the door), but won’t answer when I called twice during business hours, not during lunch time I might add.
Jerry and Ann Jones: I have called at least 5 ph numbers and I get recording after recording. Is there a live person that works in the DNR? Even customer service in Lansing is a recording. Not much of a customer service anywhere it seems!
