Aqua-Tots Swim Schools Sterling Heights: what do users think?
Julie Pletzke: We love Aqua-Tots SH! My daughter started at 8 y/o and was very fearful of the water. She decided she wanted to join after watching her little brother have so much fun in his classes. The first couple months of lessons were full of tears and anxiety but she persevered and the coaches were all extremely patient and wonderful to her. She’s had a variety of coaches due to our changing schedules and we’ve loved them all. Now she’s graduated 2 levels, and swimming the full-lane independently and LOVING being in the water. You would never know she ever felt uncomfortable in the pool. It has also provided us peace of mind that our children are confident swimmers and have learned essential safety skills. Not to mention the staff is friendly and super helpful, the facility is clean and well kept. I couldn’t be happier with our experience here.
Fred Gibson: I am now taking my 2nd young grandson to the Sterling Heights Aqua-Tots. I want to recognize staff at the desk- Kayla, Satyra, and Jaymin, as well as swim instructors Kristin, Autumn, and Jake. Each is courteous, friendly, and professional. Kristin is currently instructing my 2nd gdson in Level 3. She is wonderful - patient, friendly, knowledgeable, and always smiling. My 2 1/2 yr old gdson thinks of her as Ariel the mermaid. Without exception, each of the individuals at the desk who I have talked to and each of the swim instructors each of my gdsons have had since early 2019 have been exceptional. Thank you Aqua-Tots.
playlist Voss: Coach Makayla is great with our 3 year old daughter. She has gained confidence in the water and a love to swim!
IANA NEVMERZHYTSKA: All staff are always nice and friendly. Mostly communicated with Maria and Cetera. They are very nice ladies.
Daija Groce: Jai is awsome . staff very friendly!
Shelby Nadolski: Amanda was extremely helpful at the front desk! She was very knowledgeable when we toured and always greets us when we walk in for class. My daughter loves her class with Coach Courtney. She is patient and great with the swimmers!
Chanelle Elary: The best staff and swimming instructors!! Hands down the best place for kids swimming lessons!
Jeff Laudicina: Great place, my kids love it. The staff is great especially coach Nick, Kris, and Makayla. And the front desk is always helpful with great personalities.
Holly Kowal: I have been bringing my now 19 month old son for a year now. He always seems to enjoy swimming class and he LOVES the water! Although we have had numerous different instructors now due to turnover (which I understand working in healthcare), we have never had a bad instructor and have been happy with each and every one of them! Keep up the great work in helping our kids to not be afraid of the water!
Miranda Flannigan: The staff is always so nice and welcoming. My child has made big strides outside of the pool because he started swimming at 6 months. The facility is always clean.
Christine Trysh: The facility is always clean and the staff are very welcoming. The instructors are friendly and knowledgeable and genuinely care about the progress of their students.
Toni Ector: The entire staff, including instructors are very friendly and helpful. The facility is always clean. The lessons are reasonably priced. My daughter is progressing well and loves the lessons.
Leah Sandlin: I absolutely loved aqua tots my journey with them is amazing and I'm so thankful for the staff and instructors. My child Haas grown so much in less then a month and her confidence in water is amazing. Now don't let the prices turn u away because they are worth it I originally planned to only do a month and now they got me as a lifer because I know they are worth it. Thank you aqua tots for being a part of my little mermaids journey I'm looking forward to all the stages she will learn as she grows she will be two in March is at stage two on the chart. My family loves Aqua-Tots
Antonina Strazimiri: Aqua-Tots has been a very pleasant experience for us. The instructors are knowledgeable and caring. The environment is clean and easy to maneuver. Even the other students and their parents are friendly and sweet.Special shout-out to Instructor Alexa! Our reserved kiddo responded very well to her kind and sweet attitude.
Dena Shina: Everyone is always so sweet there. Especially to my son, he loving coming in and saying hi to all the staff and they are always so warm and welcoming to him! We definitely love our swim days!
Matt Bunch: Great Customer Service!!!
Brandon & Noah channel: Aqua tots is by far the best around! My son went from being terrified to learning so much in just 1 month. Coming to weekly class makes him so happy!
Monda Lazri: Thank you Miss Mackenzie for being so great with the kinds in your group.Your patience and kindness has made Stella’s learning experience an enjoyable one.
Qian Liu: The teachers are great, my kid loves them. There is one little suggestion I would like to put up here is the water temperature is not warm enough as it’s getting colder. My kid got sick twice after swimming class and she said the water was cold.
Jamie S: My 4 year old son isenrolled here and absolutely loves it. The staff is amazing and so helpful. Jake is his absolute favorite person. When Jake was training my son took to him immediately. We asked to switch him to Jake’s class when he got his own classes. They made the change for us. My son has grown so much and has looked forward to coming every Saturday to be with him. Thank you Aqua Tots team for being so amazing, accommodating, and pleasant!
Ileena Gaines: I Am Very Unhappy With The Service Im Being Provided. My Family transferred and has been at this location for a month and I’m still having the same problems. I’ve spoken to someone face to face 3 times now and nothing has changed. I feel like my money is being wasted and I’m not being taken serious as a customer. When I transferred my son to this location his swim card started over and went from getting stars in the ADVANCED column to being completely empty and started over. I have brought this issue to the staff attention multiple times now. I feel Both ME AND MY CHILD are being ROBBED. My son isn’t being taught properly due to incorrect chart and I’m not getting my money worth due to lack of caring by staff. I’m about ready to just pull my child from the program and take my business else where even though that wouldn’t matter to the Aqua Tot Company One Bit. I will speak with someone in person one more time about this and if the same problem consists then I am going to pull my child.

Big Blue Swim School: what do users think?
Nicole Gadie: My daughter has been going to this location for a little over 2 months and she absolutely loves it!! All the instructors are nice and pay attention to exactly what she needs to work on.
Mike Brabow: Clean wonderful place for kids. Everyone working there is exceptional
Dave DEBoer: It’s a nice clean and new facility. The instructors are all patient my 4 year old loves to go to swim class.
Lauren Chmielewski: After a couple different instructor we finally found one that my daughter did really well with. Ember is amazing with my daughter and all other kids she helps. Very playful and you can tell she really enjoys working with the kids. My daughters swimming has improved in the 6 months we have been here!
Mitchell Gildenberg: The staff was awesome! My kids love it here
Amanda Kosman: Bright and inviting facility.
Alaina Mezwa: Overall great experience!! We would definitely recommend Big Blue Swim School to friends and family!! 😀
Matt’s Google Account: Friendly staff, very easy to schedule a makeup, and clean. My kids love to come here and have grown so much in a short amount of time.
K S: Overall the front desk staff was friendly and the facilities are fine, however they switched our 7 year old sons teacher every single week (it must have been at least 4 times) saying that this would be his teacher moving forward. Also the instruction was not friendly towards children. My son was forced to practice skills that he was scared to do and had never done (not using the barbell when he felt uncomfortable). We ended up wasting 1 month’s tuition because they needed a 30 day notice to cancel and my son didn’t want to go back. He’s now much happier at a different swim school on Hall Rd. with classes tailored to his skills and a friendly teacher that is the same each time. I hope corporate steps in to improve this location especially training staff in interacting with children.
Tiffany Raye: We’ve been attending since they opened this location. They have improved since first opening. The songs during the baby 1 classes are my sons favorite part! My one complaint is that the lessons are always the same, and unless you ask for it, it doesn’t seem like the instructors in the group classes are focused on helping your baby improve, but lead the class like someone would lead yoga. While we like the staff, they all love my son, and he has improved since we started, I feel like there’s not a ton of value to prolonged lessons since we can do the same exercises at home. I’d love if there were some other activities and the lessons got changed up sometimes to keep it interesting.
Nadroj Eiramodurt: I walked into this school to get info and check out the building. I was not greeted or talked to the entire time I stood near the viewing area or walked the building. Like that’s not an issue? I wouldn’t be comfortable taking my children here if random people can just walk in and walk around with no issue. Also while watching a few minutes of the classes the a couple of the instructors were just moving the kids across the pool without them being shown how to kick or do scooper arms. There were also a few kids wearing full face masks on, which when learning how to swim is going to prohibit them from learning actual breath control, which is a basic for learning how to swim this meaning you’re wasting money and your child is not actually learning what you’re paying for.
Prasenjit Mitra: While the facilities are good, they do not show the intent of improving the learners skill level. They change the instructors much too frequently and every new instructor follows the same drill that the kid was trying with the last one. As a result, progress is very slow. Not sure if this is intentional…
Jada Mclemore: I just want Thank the General Manager Matt at this location. Matt was helpful, and friendly he solved all my issues. Great customer service !

Fraser Aquatics: what do users think?
James Martin: Nice. Aquatic Center, though they could spring for a new sound system .
Misty Minna: I really love the water aerobics class! However, the sign up process is seriously flawed. Sometimes the online sign up is posted on time, late or even early. It’s an unfair, unorganized, an inefficient system. Myself and other participants have tried to ask questions about how the sign up process can be streamlined or improved and it has fallen on deaf ears. I hope this can be fixed as it’s frustrating and confusing. The head of the aquatics department has been very rude and difficult to work with.
Sharon Goerliz: Watching great family is fun
Peri Christensen: A good place to learn the valuable skill of swimming, especially safety skills for small children.
Mark Thatcher: Great program for young children to learn an invaluable skill. Staff is wonderful, many of them are teenagers but you can tell they take their jobs seriously. Our kids are only 4, we do teach them ourselves when we can as well but their skills are progressing far more quickly because of Fraser Aquatics. Learning to swim at a young age is extremely important. A child's life could ultimately depend on it. Don't wait, get your kid swimming as soon as possible.
Michelle Baerman: I can't say enough about this program & the instructors. It's well organized, and the instructors have been all very patient and great with both of my boys.My older son, who has ASD, is progressing more than I ever expected, and the instructors he's had have been absolutely awesome with him & given him confidence in himself. My youngest is more than a handful, I'll flat out admit that, but his instructors have also been fantastic. Firm enough when they need to be while still making it fun & a great learning experience for him.100% recommend!
Neila: I registered my grandson and yes they're cheap because they have teenagers teaching the classes and don't have a schedule that accommodates working parents. The student instructors mostly sing songs and expect a 15 months old to climb up the side of the pool rail. They don't teach swimming techniques at least for his age group. But the supervisor as THE NASTIEST attitude I've ever seen. She's extremely rude. Because of her attitude, I took him to Aquatots where he's actually learning to swim and they're nicer. I can afford to pay for better customer service.
Clarence Halmon: Great place to learn to swimming.🎉🎆☺
Mary: Provide swimming lessons for my grandson.
Hooriya Shaukat: Ive had a great experience with my swim lessons here. Mae and Kaylee have been amazing instructors, very personable and encouraging! Highly recommend.
Josiah: Amazing program, very affordable compared to Goldfish and Aqua Tots! Also the instructors are trustful!
Paul S: Great place, good prices, and they actually teach the proper techniques. Been going for a few years and my daughter loves it.
nue vue: We really appreciate Melissa and her team. Thank you for all that you do to serve the community. Swimming is is skill that everyone should learn. My four children started with a fear of swimming and now they all love swimming and are confident swimmers. One of the best programs in the area.
Christine Shovein: I cannot say enough about how impressed I am with this organization. First and foremost, the instructors are amazing with the children, very knowledgeable, and as a parent I feel 100% confident knowing my children are in their hands. The program itself is extremely well organized, communication is awesome, and my kids leave every class improving on their skills. I’ve been to other swim clubs where instructor to child ratio was not as good nor did each child get enough time actually swimming vs waiting for other kids to swim. With Fraser the children are constantly swimming and doing exercises. You will not be disappointed at all with choosing your lessons with them!
Mike Schultz: They have a great swim program
Sophia L: A+ from me! All of the instructors have been great; I love that they're young adults, because it gives my kids the feeling and security of a big brother/sister helping them in the pool. The ratio between students/instructors is better than most programs in the area, and the cost is much lower! The director, Melissa, is wonderful; she is very friendly and accommodating. I highly recommend checking this program out!
Ashley Krywko: Most of the instructors here are great. An elderly woman who taught the young kids (ages 4?) was pretty mean. My kids weren’t in her group but I sat right there listening to her be incredibly rude to these kids. My own kids witnessed it and couldn’t believe this woman’s attitude. I had an experience with another instructor who didn’t like me and my two year old walking in and out of the door that was propped open. I sat in the corner by the door on purpose, so if my toddler had a melt down I could go outside to the hallway. She very rudely told me not to do that anymore, we didn’t bother anyone but her. We did this on numerous occasions during the summer and fall times, without any other instructors being bothered. The door was propped open. I was right there with my child. Between her and the elderly lady I couldn’t come back. The other instructors were wonderful though.
Got Wood: My Kids enjoy it. Mrs patti is amazing with the kids and Melissa will go above and beyond to make sure your questions and concerns are answered.
Kat M: We LOVE Fraser Aquatics! We have had our kids enrolled in the program for several years and both of them love it. The teachers are all great, especially Ryan Allor! He has been a teacher for both of my kids and they love him. He makes them feel comfortable in the water, is patient, and makes learning to swim fun.
aseel alyas: My kids have been coming here for the past four years now and they absolutely love it, my daughter has made a major improvement and moved up to the next Level up and she is 7 years old and my 4 year old is making such a amazing improvement just recently moved up to the next level up. I love this place I’m super impressed and then the program it just unbelievable. That person that’s in charge she’s very professional very fair most important thing she’s a parent. I drive over 45 minute one-way and I don’t mind it at all because of the improvement I’ve seen in my kids, usually the younger kids jellyfish and guppies I have noticed no child sit behind and wait for his or her turn every student has one instructor working with them constantly nonstop I highly recommend this place to every single parent it’s very organized very fair super clean and sanitize.
Tori Flakes: My son was in a different program for 5+ months and didn't learn as much as what Fraser Aquatics is teaching. Plus there is one teacher/assistant per student in his level. Also, it's way more cost efficient. This is only my 2nd week and I feel he is learning more now than in the last 5+ months. Keep up the good job!
