Elk Ridge Archery: what do users think?
Jared Sage: Great bow! Bought it in April and shot several 3d tournaments and even a nice doe!
Kris Scholz: I recently had a bow refinished. He did a beautiful job and I highly recommend him.
Emily C. Thomas: After a long search for the right bow for my child, I'm so grateful to find Elk Ridge. As a parent who is a bit of a novice in archery, I found the owner, John to be considerate, attentive, and generous with his knowledge regarding bows. The bow is really a functional work of art, infused with the detail and care that only a skilled craftsman can achieve. Needless to say, my child LOVES this bow.
Amber Jacquez: John was great! He was quick to respond and dealt with my crazy ideas and requests. I contacted him in November about getting my bow refinished and he let me know that he was backed up through the first of the year. He let me know that I could send it then or wait. I chose to wait. After I sent it he responded to all my calls and emails. I have high anxiety and he was so kind and accommodating with it. Also I wanted a black stripe and he was able to do it with the stain which was so nice. When I received it I was so happy I giggled with delight and ran around like a gerblin! It’s so pretty!
David Nolan: I received an Elk Ridge Archery bow as a tournament prize years ago, and a good friend of mine has always loved how it shoots when he borrows it. I contacted Elk Ridge now to ask them to make a replica of it as a suprise gift. Even though Elk Ridge has changed hands since I received my bow, the new owner, John Rafferty, bent over backwards to help me out, from choosing unique woods similar to the original, to painstakingly hitting a specific target weight. He was open to communication from me about how things were coming along, and it shipped quickly. The quality is superb, the price was fantastic, and most importantly, it's a sweet shooter. Thanks, John!
Steven Olthoff: Beautiful bow.
Gerald Mills: Awesome archery store...very helpful and knowledgeable staff
Al Sajib: Its a house... no one picked up any calls... I reluctantly knocked on the front door after failing to get in contact over the phone like 3 or 4 times and triple checking I am at the right place. No one is here. Idk if its a personal business. But this is a waste of a trip. Maybe try calling them first and see if you can get hold of them.
Edwin Robert Gilbert: High quality traditional bows , both the ones he makes and the ones he stocks. His selection of youth bows is beyond any others I have seen.

MOR Archery: what do users think?
Gion Gold: Holly was great and very informative.
Guy Hait: Large selection. Good advice. Not a school, however.
Rob Kasjanski: This place has..... EVERYTHING you are looking for a long with great help an suggestions for your needs.Stop in an check it out.
Kirk Most: Great archery shop and range; Very knowledgeable on repairs as well.
Pat D: Went in to have the string reinstalled. They say my relatively new and lightly used bow needs a string, cables and cams which will cost as much as a new bow. Which surprise, they will be happy to sell me. Can't speak to the rest of the operation, but I wouldn't recommend service.Update. Well in retrospect they actually did me a favor. Forced me to check YouTube and I fixed it myself in about 5 minutes.
CharlieJulietSierra: I wish I could give this place 10 stars! Mor is fantastic. Holly made the whole visit a great experience! We did not deal with anyone else, but I would recommend asking for her. My wife wanted to try out bow shooting and we really knew nothing going in. She made everything so pleasant and easy for us and set us up with a really good starter bow and some accessories. She showed my wife how to shoot and got her sighted in right there at the range and was really helpful! Great place!!!
mike baldwin: I bought my third compound bow from Tim and Holly at mor archery. Holly is an excellent set up girl she dialed my bow in quickly and perfectly if any place really takes the time and care to set you up and make sure you get out the door with the right equipment that fits you. I strongly urge you to give more archery in Shelby township a try.
Corey Franks: Amazing place great people and very knowledgeable, awesome indoor range going back to 50 yards
eric miller: Excellent place to sight in your bows without a wind factor. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly.
Phil Batten: I must say I am very disappointed. 12/27. I walked in and there were two other people there that were not customers. The girl who is an employee basically ignored us. I was actually greeted by one of the regulars(BowTech Lover). My buddy went for the arrows and I gravitated towards the bows. I then asked the girl does she have the newest Hoyt and Matthew’s, she then rambled a few names off and that was it. Bow Tech Lover then came over from behind the counter(which I assumed he worked there) and talked about the bows but come to find out he didn’t work there. He should be hired immediately!!! Too long of a story but she just lost out on a $3000 sale. My one buddy said I should come back when Tim is in. Horrible customer service. Reminds me of MJC.
Cody Robertson: Dropped off my crossbow to be restrung, picked the Flo green cables and string. Two weeks later I pick it up and first thing I notice is the black cables. I mentioned being a tab dissatisfied with not being told before hand at least and their response was “at least it’s back together for you” yea thanks $200 later won’t even lie, I was looking forward to having the matching cable and trigger
Thomas Fleury: Came in to get my top cam lean fixed on my Mathews V3. Holly was super helpful took care of the cam lean, she went above and beyond to double check my timing and drop away rest cable. Very pleased with Holly and her customer service. Best bow shop in town... Thanks again Holly
Nicholas Powers: Best archery shop ever! Just bought another bow from them and have zero regrets. I worked directly with Holly and had the best experience. Knowing I was in a time crunch, she had the bow in my hands in just a few days, which would have taken other shops a month or more. Holly and Tim are great people and care about customer satisfaction. They are extremely knowledgeable but don’t ever try and persuade the customer one way or the other. They lay out the options and help you decide what is best for you and the level archer you are. I have been coming here for a few years and have zero plans on going elsewhere. MOR archery is hands down the superior archery store and I highly recommend giving them your business, because you will be doing yourself a favor as well!
Craig Weis: Knowledge and experience.
Thomas: Poor service and poor knowledge, they will slap together a bow with parts and not tune it at all. They will call it good and move onto the next bow, they’re basically an assembly line. They also sold me the wrong spine arrows multiple times and failed to acknowledge they were in the wrong. Easton’s spine chart says that for my draw length and weight I need 300 spine arrows but they insisted that 400 spine were “right” for me because they “know from years of experience”. Easton is the freaking manufacturer of the arrows, I think they know what they’re talking about, unlike Mor. When I’m spending $140 I want the right arrows. This place has been nothing but issues for me. They treat you like you know nothing and they know everything. They’re focused on making sales, not taking care of there customers and getting things right.
Justin Ploetz: Large variety of new bows and accessories. Excellent customer service from start to finish. Just purchased a new bow and couldn't be happier. Fast quality work!
Kevin Kujawski: We read reviews and thankfully went to Mor to resolve a pesky problem with a compound bow that the pro shop at the big box store couldn’t handle. The team was helpful, offered great advice, was super-fast with the repair and the price was very reasonable. They will be ournew go-to. I wish I would have gone here sooner.
Nolan Martin: Mor archery is so welcoming to all of its customers and prioritizes all requests that they may have. Since I have started going to Mor, I began to feel that it was not just a shop, but more of a family. Mor archery is by far the best archery shop in Michigan. They will help you out with anything you need from restringing a bow to ordering custom parts. When it comes to customer service, they will always stay true to there word. In all, Mor Archery is the most upstanding archery shop that I have ever been at and I will continue to go there for a long time to come.
Ella Stoneman: been here a few times and every time i feel very welcomed. amazing customer service and beautiful facility. very spacious and clean.
Brock Ciaramitaro: Best archery shop around, Employees are always super friendly and helpful, I’ve never had an issue in the past 5 years I’ve been going there!
Tristen Watson: Mor Archery is by far the best pro shop around I wouldn’t go anywhere else! Very professional and knowledgeable when it comes to getting you set up with a new bow or working on your current one!

MJC Archery: what do users think?
Andrea: The best archery shop around. They never fail to make sure I’m all set before leaving with my bow. Jim and the crew are amazing and I recommend them to anyone and everyone when I can!
Andrew Canu Jr: Very good service
Tyra Tarr: Great place Jim is an amazing man. He will help you with any questions or just overall helping you with your bow. This is the only place we go for our bow needs.
Ron Spangler: Jim & staff are the best!! Always there to help!
Michael Bedford: Fair priced, very helpful, good work.
Steve Savalle: 10 out of 10I wouldn’t go any where else. Jim was second to none.
Nieko Routson: Ill give ya 1 star only cause you are decent people . I had a dozen arrows cut and inserts glued . Ive already had to replace EVERY single last one of the inserts you people put in because ya dont know how to glue them in properly . I wont EVER be back to this place . Ill drive 45 minutes to adams archery in milan before i drive 20 minutes to your place .
Adam Warmack: Jim and MJC provide excellent customer service. I bought my first bow from them and they walked me through the entire process offering helpful advice without being pushy. When I ended up damaging the bow a few weeks later, Jim fixed it immediately and went way beyond expectations to get me out hunting.
Kyle Rotarius: I have been to most local shops around and was never really excited about purchasing from any of them. I decided to try somewhere new and.pick up the new Prime from them. An hour in there with them was more beneficial than any other time in other shops combined. They gained a customer for life
Gina Skiotys: Wow! I cannot say enough to convey what a fantastic experience it was finding this shop. Jim and his staff are nothing but world class when it comes to customer service! Their love of the sport is unrivaled. My husband and I were in there yesterday to purchase his first bow, and walked out of there with so much knowledge our brains were spinning. Jim went over everything, and spent an amazing amount of time training how to properly shoot. Starting the sport at 42 is daunting, but Jim and Kerry made sure that he walked out of there properly set up to enjoy the process of becoming an avid bowhunter. He will definitely be signing up for some lessons in the near future! Jim's patience and expertise is beyond what we expected. We cannot recommend this establishment enough!
Ren: I had an amazing experience! I’m fairly new to archery and I walked in knowing next to nothing and they were more than helpful. Steve and Jim were able to explain everything in full detail, walked me through each part of the bow, helped me choose which one suited me best, and even taught me how to shoot a bullseye perfectly. I absolutely recommend checking out this shop even if you know next to nothing, you will walk out happy and knowledgeable!
Carl Bidinger: Expert service and advice. Be patient as they take time to make sure every customer gets full attention.
Bruce Chang: Jim and his staff are great. Went in because my cam timing was off. Jim took care of it right away. Hands down best customer service I've experienced.
Brad Zarachowicz: Terrible customer service.
Geneva Simons: Awesome place! I bought my first bow today and they walked me through everything that I needed. Very nice people and knowledgeable too!
Jake Wolan: For as busy as they were, I was very impressed with how Jim and the staff took the time to help not only myself, but every customer in the shop. Jim was running around like he was in a track meet, yet made it a point to keep checking in with me. He answered all of my questions and made sure that I was on the right track while working on getting my bow in tune. I appreciate all of the help and I will be back!
Dan DBZ Morris: The only archery shop that isn't 100% all about hunting they carry few things for the competitive archer geared more for target and 3d archery. I always check there before I have to pick up the ole Lancaster catalog lol.
Z D: Wouldn't go anywhere else. Staff are helpful, patient and truly love archery and welcoming newcomers. If you're getting started, need something fine tuned, or just advice, this is the place to go.
Donny Gallivan: Had a great experience brand new to archery got set up with a great bow was even shown how to shoot properly will definitely be going back
Kevin Haskin: Great experience here. Went in looking for a certain model, they had several to choose from. Staff is very friendly and helpful. If you are purchasing a bow, get it here, you won't be sorry!
Charlie Wolf: As a new archer, or rather person to the sport of archery I highly recommend MJC archery to any and all. From the moment I entered the store bright eyed and bushy tailed, the owner took me under his wing and walked me through every aspect of picking out my first bow. He and the rest of the staff were so friendly and welcoming and knowledgeable, working with the public myself I know good customer service when I see it and the folks here go above and beyond all expectation. Thank you MJC Archery for helping me get into a new passion that I know I will enjoy for years to come!

DICK'S Sporting Goods: what do users think?
Eric Riddle: Has the latest trendy Nike, under armor, adidas, yeti, whatever. Most expensive place to shop for clothes.Dunhams is much better.I only come here if I absolutely have to for a random item I know they might have...Not even to mention, they stopped selling guns and hunting stuff altogether and are anti 2nd amendment, which used to be the main basis of their buisness.
Carlos Folino: Good selection, friendly people, well staged
m scott: Great for golf gear
Larry Otis: Just a little high with the price
Michelle Dy: Nice and polite staff. Greets with a smile
Lisa (The Sterling Critic): The store is always clean and the one or two times I have returned things without a receipt that I bought online they were able to help me with my exchange. They have a large selection of nice things, and the employees are always helpful and friendly.
Bree Carne: Davey was amazing in the Golfing section. He helped me so much get everything I was looking for. Went above and beyond ! 10/10
Matthew Schang: Did not have alot of wrestling gear but the staff was great ran in back and were able to find shoes and head gear that will get us started
DETROIT BLACKQUEEN: They have excellent items great customer service even added door greeters much needed 👍
G.A Dyson: Was looking for some running shoes and not one but two Representatives helped.Special thanks to Joey and Caleb we were able find the perfect match for the running shoes and actually grabbed more gym equipment items at the store.Customer Service was through the roof because of these two. Special thank you to everyone involved. People just don't believe in customer service anymore and to have these folks actually assist the way they did deserves recognition as it is not as prominent as it used to be at retail stores. Keep up the good work.
鹹粥3米3: 衣服很齊全鞋子也多 服務人員態度良好價錢一般般
Devin: Friendly staff
Austin Kautzer: Referred to this location because the Roseville employees didn't know how to regrip a golf club. What do you know--the employees here said it would be at least 2-3 days before anyone would be in who could do the regripping. Why even have anyone working in the golf area if they aren't trained to do *basic* tasks in the golf field?? Drove all the way around the city to multiple locations to just have them tell me to go to Golf Galaxy. I should have just gone to a small business after this boondoggle.
Chelsea Finch: Go across the street to outlet, same stuff much cheaper!!!!!!!
Sako R: No fishing department
J S: Standing by the Yeti coolers looking to buy one and was asked to “please step away for security reasons” and was told they need to lock them up. This was in the middle of a Saturday so not like it was closing time. Not sure if it was a power tip or what but I walked out.
J Fields: They always seem to have what I need.
Tiffany Ajini: Shelby is a true artist with eyebrows. I will NEVER go any where else. Thank you so much .
Bill Buchanan: Good. Helpful staff. Got what I needed.
Stephanie Hearn: Excellent service
Jeremy St.Martin: Great selection, I was in and out pretty fast. Plus, staff was pretty friendly.

Civan Miya: Good but expensive
Jeff Kemter: Super helpful. Super cool staff!
Alex Stout: Well,I went for a pair of rollerblades and found exactly what fit my needs.not only were they a fairly decent price,I thought they were pretty stylish pair also & of good quality.🤓 Also,it was not known to me the amount and range of sporting goods things they have here. Anything you can think of.ill be going back for the electronic dart board!
Joe Schuirmann: This is a great location! Very helpful staff.
Ken Brooks: Staff was nice but on line stated that the product I wanted was limited in stock, in store purchase only. They had zero. Website should have let me know that before I drove 45 minutes round trip.
Stan Bush: Clean store. Efficient staff. Lots of stock and selection.
Jose Flores: Good priceGood locationNice placeClean..But we found 5 of 7 things that we was looking for
Blake Bowes: Very good experience in the hunting section. The man who helped me out today was named chuck, he had amazing insight and really worked with me after asking to check out some rifles back to back for comparison. Thanks chuck again for the positivity and knowledge you provided!
mark s: Great place.Great prices
Walter Lee: Cheap shirts
John Castellenas: Best place to buy sport items.
JQ Fernandez: Way to demoralize a customer. I was told by a Dunham's employee that they have a first responder discount. Military, Police, Fire. When I showed my ID to access the discount that I WAS TOLD to ask for every time... The clerk rudely denied me until I questioned why I was able to use it the last 10 times. She proceeded to announce to the store who I work for. Very rude. Train your employees better.
Marc Huffman: Lady at the gun counter was trash.
Nic DeMonaco: Stock fully, clean, but cashier needed a Attitude Adjustment. Was totally friendly to her, If you don't like your job go find somewhere else.
James Smith: Priced fair for clothing and footwear apparel wich is definitely good quality!
Barry Weisenbach: Lots of choices,guns
Billy Mindham: Best prices for sporting goods.

Rising Phoenix Archery: what do users think?
julius davidson: Target practice today-beginners phase 1 !
ebony norwood: The place in itself was pretty cool, but my friend and I could not enjoy ourselves due to the rudeness and cruel energy from an employee named Frank. If he was taken out the equation we might have been able to actually have a good time. He was very rude and mean and mocked me for not knowing much rules or what “tweet” meant even though I made it clear it was my first time going there. Also it was very dangerous due to no clear instructions on what the “rules” and meanings. One child even started earlier while people were still getting their arrow because of the lack of instructions given. He used harsh and sarcastic tones and it made me very uncomfortable. Because of the bad energy Frank was giving off we decided to leave earlier than our scheduled time, I would have loved to come back there in the future and introduce other friends as well if circumstances was different.
Edward Heffenfelder: Decent place for what it is. Do not plan to take your hunting bow or crossbow. They do not alow anything over 51lbs. But a nice time none the less
Rajesh Jude: Really fun place to come to. It's not at all expensive for the time you get to shoot arrows. The people working there are really helpful and they thought us pretty well on how to shoot an arrow properly.
Shane Empson: Coach Brandon put on an incredible outdoor archery tournament last weekend. The inaugural Competitive Archery Showdown was superb. The event was well planned and the competition was fierce. Can’t wait for this unique tournament to come back next year!!
xu jiaqi: Would visit again
Lisa (The Sterling Critic): A great place to take archery lessons. Affordable and can get up to 16 students in one class. I believe they also have private lessons. You can purchase archery supplies this location. The instructor makes it fun to learn how to be an archer. Conveniently located in Troy near many restaurants and other shops. The parking lot is a little small and around the back of the building but seems like plenty of parking for the class sizes that they have available. As you get better at your lessons they have a yearly competition and display the awards nicely when you first walk in. It is upstairs in the building and they conveniently have an elevator for people that can’t take the stairs.
Jim Shields: Brandon really helped my grandson improve a lot last year. He ended up finishing second place in his division and was promoted to shooting 15 yards. He picked up his new bow tonight and was shooting great without any real adjustments made to the sights. He previously was shooting at 10 yards. Now his younger brother will be shooting this year as well and we will be getting lessons from Brandon for him as well.
Randy Carroll: This place goes above and beyond for you. I highly recommend to anyone looking to get into or just trying out Archery.
Kyle Geggie: Great place, and extremely cheap at $10 per hour, love it here!
Linda Mccullough: Wonderful! Coach Tim is great...looking forward to series of lessons and enjoying this sport! Try it you will be glad you did!
Lisa Tremblay: Updated to say that the issue of refund has been resolved. A name note this is the same experience as posted on Yelp.I still will not encourage patrons to this business for the owners refusal to understand the flaws in the system he claims they have set up with appointments or claiming that the range is not open to public at certain times without it being posted at all on the doors. Since we were not the only “public” that entered the building at the time of issue. There has to be change in the disappointing ego of this owner to make it a better environment. He is insistent that appointments have to be made however he himself failed over months of opportunity via email, to explain the system he claims is in place. It’s evident in my email on March 11th that I mentioned the coach was unavailable to devote to my project of picking up the items the owner told me to come in to pick up via phone. The owner did not respond to this email- he did not explain at any point that appointments are supposedly needed to pick up and to order items. It was never the case. The coach was perfectly available to run my card.To ruin an entire experience over non communication is irresponsible to current and potential clientele and to his staff.I’m disappointed that this owner chooses to ruin a wonderful sport by poor business choices, terrible communication, an over inflated ego and lack of customer service.
Reta Hendricks: Had a great time! Cliff helped us and he was very friendly and kind. Highly recommend 🙂
R Gan: The folks are super nice and walk you thru all the steps. They are very thorough and I'm definitely going to go back!
Cheryl Van Drie: Had a wonderful experience here with our Girl Scout troop. The girls were excited to learn about archery and try it. Brandon was patient as ever while "herding cats" and keeping order to the room of young kids. They are already asking to go back again.
Nicole Thompson: Great classes
nicholas childers: Rising Phoenix is fantastic! The price per session is amazing and all equipment is included. Sessions are based on 4/5 week intervals. We have one child in intermediate and one in JOAD (junior Olympic development program). The skills they learn are easily implemented and improved on each week. The kids are always excited to go.
Amy Strzalkowski: I always enjoy expanding my knowledge of the sport at Rising Pheonix.
Laura Hamrick: Friendly, helpful, a wonderful place to grow in the art of archery
Kevin Ham: Tidy, well lit indoor range(s)w/ pretty nice loaner equipment for newbies.Staff were helpful. They have classes for adults & kids.I'll be back again for open shoot one of these weekends.🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
Micah Lee: 10/10 i hit all bullsyes
