Lynn “Pencilmarks”: I was only visiting the Detroit area, so not familiar with bakeries. My hosts had purchased a "Cannoli Cake" from Mannino's that i went and picked up. What a phenomenal treat! Cannoli cream filling between the layers instead of frosting? The exterior covered by a delicious whipped cream frosting? One of the best cakes I've ever had! Beside what i have already mentioned, the cake itself was moist and light. The combination was heavenly. Highly recommend for any occasion.

Backery cases were empty, only meat dough and some kubba. I ended up with buying poor quality meat dough and kubba for $57, the guy said no burek available because it is Sunday!!Never going back to this bakery.

sandra: A sure bet when wanting to buy fresh, made with love & care, authentic Lebanese baked goods. From delicious treats to amazing meat, cheese & spinach fatayer. All made, in house and fresh. We travel 3 hours to purchase the pies, the fresh baked zaatar flatbreads & meat flatbreads & stock up on bags of pita (which are incredibly soft & chewy). Our favorite part is seeing our dear friend who has been baking here for decades. You are definitely greeted well & treated like family. God bless them all. A+

The meat pie was so spicy with peppers that after we ate two pies, we threw the other two pies in the garbage, and our stomach was messed up for two days. The Zatar pie was good, as well as the ready to go dates. To the owner: I highly recommend you reduce the hot spices in the meat pie. My sister had the same issue with the meat pie previously.

Sigmatic: I have bought ready-made cakes from here before multiple times, but when I placed an order for a custom cake, I was very disappointed. I asked them to do a very simple design that any professional baker should be able to do, and I know this because baking is my hobby. I told them to design the cake like the picture attached shows but they said they couldn't do the dinosaur. I said ok, then leave the dinosaur and just do the vines. VINES?! How does a professional baker not know how to do vines. I have bought their ready made cakes before and they tasted and looked fantastic. There were all sorts of pretty roses and flowers on top of those cakes. But I really am surprised they couldn't do such a simple design. I told them I wanted the cake to be vanilla, but I have no idea what on Earth they gave me. It was brown and had a very weird and dense texture to it. It tasted like it was made from wheat flour instead of all-purpose flour. No one in my family was able to eat it. And I also attached a picture of how they made the cake. They couldn't even make it straight with white frosting, let alone anything else. The frosting was not white, the cake was not vanilla, the cake looked horrible, and it wasn't even on the sides, as they are bulging out. If you can see in the picture, I started adding little designs to it, as baking is my hobby, to at least make it look presentable. Below, I have attached pictures showing how they should have made the cake and how it turned out from the outside and the inside. I also attached a picture of a cake I bought from them ready-made just a few weeks before I bought the custom cake. I will probably not be buying from here again.

deepika s: Should be given zero star experience for selling stale food. I got two pastries (25$) and nut cake (8$) and the psastries were rotten when we tasted after getting it home. The nut cake had mold at bottom and the lady specifically told that I will last long. Never purchase anything from this place and this place should be closed by @foodcontroldepartment.I would have come and asked for refund if it was not late hours and unfortunately I only have credit card statement. I told one of the workers there that I wanted 12 inch cake and she made 6 inches instead and made us pay the amount of 12 inches. If you order something, they will not do what you asked for for the most part. I would not recommend ordering from this place at all.

mj48310 mj48310: My friend told me about the bread they sell and onion rolls.They sell a wide array of breads, baguettes, 2 sizes of white Italian, rye, pumpernickel, and a wide variety of rolls. The description of the place was 100% correct. The windows are all fogged with water, and the selection is limited don't expect a full line bakery. Limited or not the quality is great. I am a big fan of onion rolls and I purchased a cinnamon walnut coffee cake. This is an amazing purchase. Never have I had a cake so moist and butter rich. It was $12 which almost deterred me but so glad I did and you won't regret it. It is a family business and should be patronized to support small business.

This bakery is hands down unbelievable. It's very simple, not much up front, but flash isn't necessary and anyone who's wise would understand. Amazing bread. I suppose it's their "bread and butter". I have never smelt or tasted a better rye bread from a store in my life. They really have the perfect rye bread down to science here. Just try the bread, and you'll be sold.

On her birthday she always requests a cake from here because a) my baking would probably cause illness and b) she absolutely loves the white chocolate raspberry Bundt cake. They do a fabulous job jazzing it up for birthdays and I highly recommend Nothing Bundt Cake to all.

Baked to perfection but I highly recommend trying their red velvet...it's my favorite.

I explained I had some mini cake toppers I was going to put on each one and asked if could get them in a slightly taller box to accomodate the cake toppers as I was traveling out of state with them. The young girls behind the counter simply said "NO THEY ARE PRE-BOXED".......So after seeing behind the counter that they had taller boxes prepared for people who pick their own larger cakes I said "ok, can I buy one of those boxes"? Again, I was answered with a huge attitude and a rude "No we can't do that"........I would like to say thank you to Randazzos on 22 and Hayes for allowing me to purchase a taller cake box to accomodate them and make the trip to Ohio with the cakes intact. I WILL NOT GO BACK TO NBC AS I DO NOT DESIRE TO BE TREATED SO RUDELY BY THEIR STAFF AND THE MANAGER WHO WAS ON DUTY.......

The person who waited on us was really friendly and came around the corner to speak with us and explain the varieties etc. Really cute displays and cute cakes. Place is really clean too.

Merisa Musemic: I came to a Palm Sweets many time in the past, with my family and friends. Yesterday, however, I came by myself by Smart Bus. The gentleman who assisted me at the counter, was very kind. He helped me to find a table and carried my order for me, he was also very good at explaining where the door is in relation to my table so I can go out and catch the Smart Bus later. The Turkish coffee is the best and so is the ice cream. As far as I’m concerned, Palm suites is the best place to get something sweet in the area. I would also like to add, that I felt really respected and completely excepted as a blind person when I was there.

Luis Romero: First time in this place, completely packed. I had the blueberry crepe (or at least that's what I thought, lol), when they gave us the food. Besides, it was cold and seemed to be more spaghetti pasta. When I asked if this was the intention (because the picture in the menu was completely different). they said it was a new way to prepare it, and they were "looking" for the costumers reaction. Never asked me in the first place, BTW. Just look at the picture and make your own judgment. The coffee and the Arabic pastries were good.

Ashran Bakth: The food is great and all but the customer service is not great at all. This one time I was waiting for the staff member to notice me for 25 minutes. There was no line and people that came late, got their food before me. There should be a ticketing system or something because this was not the first time I experienced this. I love the food but because of the customer service I’ll give it a 3.
