v: I had prepaid service from them last year.they renew my services by them self with out any notice or anything and send me bill for it. Even I don’t know when they come to my house and did service or not.if they came they didn’t inform me that they r coming to my property, which is not appropriate that they came to my property without my permission.
Josh: This company has poor communication. I seen a hiring ad on Indeed for a Lawn Tech Applicator position, and I went into the office to apply instead of doing it online. Once I walked in the hiring manager(Chris) was out for the day, and I was assisted by others. They had no idea if they were even hiring, or not. I then filled out a application, and upon me turning it in they asked if I was licensed to spray. I hesitantly said no as there was nothing in their ad about it. It was a basic ad asking for anyone to hire. They then told me I should be expecting a call the next day. Phone never rang. So I call them the next day after. They told me Chris was busy, and he would call me within a hour. Well again I got nothing. Then to find out a little bit later on they took their Indeed advertisement down. So instead of calling me, and telling me they aren’t hiring anymore they are just going to ignore me, and take the ad down. I also have four years of honorable military experience that is recent. So it’s not like I was just some kid walking in there with no experience in anything.

After many phone calls, and 2 dates promised, the most recent, they gave Thursday, April 28th, they promised her they would come out. NO SERVICE FROM SAFTEY LAWN THIS MORNING, FRIDAY APRIL 29TH . 1 2: My lawn was over fertilized and burned terribly. I contacted the office and a tech was sent out and confirmed that my lawn was over fertilized and burned. After calling the office and being told that my account would be credited and I’d have nothing to worry about. So fast forward to last week I received a letter from a collection company for the service that ruined my lawn. I’ve gotta say this is a pretty lousy business practice. I noticed a few small problem areas in my front and back yard in September. I had tech Justin look at it while he was here for our early fall lawn application. He quickly diagnosed it as an active grub problem! I had no idea! I'm so glad he discovered it before the grubs could cause massive lawn damage. I have used 4 and have re-signed the one I used 10 years ago to see if they have improved.Wayne Brown's EcoTurf(he is based in Berkley) is the absolute worst! Bar none. Without exception. They completely destroyed the grass we had and blamed in on:1. Fescue2. Over watering3. Uneven ground4. Poor quality grass seedAll of which I bought into and it kept getting worse and worse. Yet, with all of this said, I let him convince me to get it right this year(2022), with an in depth plan to fix it all. So, when I left him a text message last Thursday about the plan and attack and not one to two days went by, but 5 without a response, I cancelled the service on his website.Avoid EcoTurf lawn care at all costs as I now believe they are actually a fraudulent type company. They called me to follow up to see how they did, which I never received a follow up call from my previous company. John J Williams: We decided to invest in a company to help keep our yard healthy and weed free. We have fairly new sod that was installed back in 2019. We were enticed by the program that was offered and the pricing that was given. We paid in full and didn't hear anything for several weeks. We thought someone would come out and look at our yard but that never happened. Our pre spring weed control wasn't put down until almost May. We struggled all summer with weeds and our yard was never green. You never knew when there was an application because there was no set schedule. You would receive a call if you were lucky that they would be out. After every application you would receive a card with a summary of the visit. It usually was always trying to tell us we needed to purchase additional services to correct our yard issues. One was to rethatch our entire yard which is brand new. Just overall disappointed with this company and will not be trying them again in the future.
Melissa Inman: We have been using EcoTurf since the purchase of our home 3 years ago and our lawn always looks amazing. If we ever have any issues or concerns they come out to talk with us, they make sure to come out when we are home to ensure that they can address our concerns accordingly. They are way better priced than the competitors and they do not try to upsell you anything that you do not need. We had an issue with moles last year (as did most of the neighborhood), one call into Wayne, he told us exactly what we needed to do, even provided the product to eliminate them and we have not had any moles since. We get compliments all the time on how wonderful our lawn looks and always recommend them to call EcoTurf! They always call a day ahead of service. The bill is left by the door. You pay as you go. No pre-payments for a year of service or any other lengthy contacts. Great and honest company! Hanadi Fahs: My husband and I did a Google search to find local snow removal/lawn care companies in our area. We found that this company had 5 star reviews, so we went with them. One and a half weeks after snow fall, no one came out to shovel our drive way. Payment had already been made. We called and texted and for a couple days, there was no response. When they did respond, they gave an excuse about their truck having problems (yeah, right), and I had to BEG them to come out soon to shovel the driveway. They told me they didn't have anyone to come out. They sent someone after again, I begged, and that person shoveled HALF the driveway, and left. We paid for other things like orange stakes, etc, and NOTHING was rendered. Services were unfulfilled. Stay away from this company - they steal money.

Last year 2021 I called them because my lawn was looking really bad and noticed I was also skipped one month. They came out to look at my lawn and agreed that it did look bad and were very apologetic about missing one of my applications. They ended up giving me some free services (aeration and seeding) in hope that my lawn would look better in 2022. I decided to stay with them since they stepped up for the mishap and were going to try and get my lawn looking good again. Well 2022 came and it was looking OK, but I noticed both my neighbors lawn on both sides were much greener than mine. On September 21, 2022 I looked up my service dates and the last time I was serviced was July 27, 2022 . Once again my service was skipped and my lawn has suffered because of it. I called them on September 21th and they said I was scheduled to be done ASAP. I decided to cancel their service. In the beginning years my grass looked like a golf course. I’m not sure if they changed their fertilizer formula in the past two/three years, but something has definitely changed and my lawn has suffered for it.Service:Weed control

K: The employees at NexGreen are awesome. I found them through The Spider Guy adverts, which is a business they purchased. Sue, the office manager is so nice and very responsive. I sent two emails with questions and she called me within minutes of sending them because she thought more questions would come up so talking would be the best form of communication and she was correct. The sales guy was very nice and he did not try to sell me a bunch of different products, I told him I had spiders and he sold me spider control. He did tell me what other services they offered, but there was no pressure to buy them. Dan is the tech who sprayed my home. I did not get to meet him because he was here right before I woke up. He did meet my brother who told me he also sprayed around the unattached garage which I didn't think would be included, but it was very much needed. The one thing that Dan did that stood out for me was that he picked up my dog's outside water bowl that had completely slipped my mind. In my opinion this showed that he cares. Gregory Hartel: Hired Big Lakes August 2022 for landscape work underground drainage and shrub removal.They did everything and more Very satisfied!!!This year had some basement leaking by one of the downspouts where they added underground drainage so I called them thinking maybe the drainage tube was leaking. Conner came out and evaluated within the hour. No leak in drainage tube but I had low spot next to house. Very next day they came out extending the drain tile all the way to rear rainwater/ sewer drain, built up dirt along rear of house and put down grass seed where needed. All for No Charge. I can honestly say I’ve never had better customer service than what Great Lakes provided. No excuses no blame game they just wanted to back up the work they did last year even though it appears they had no liability in this matter This is what customer service is all about! IMA: Haven’t always had the best experiences with them as there have been some hiccups especially with snow removal however when I contacted the company they took my concerns seriously and eventually everything was fixed. I use them for grass cutting and snow removal. They also did some landscaping in the front of the houses and I was pleased with the results.

The work was completed in late September, and within 10 days the grass was starting to grow. The company was very careful not to damage my inground sprinkler system, and cleaned up when they were finished.
