ruckus: Not great. I took my car in to do some custom exhaust work. I explained EXACTLY what I wanted to the service man (although he looked like he was about 16). I asked him if they mandrel bend their exhaust pipes. I’m pretty confident he had no idea what the phrase “mandrel bend” means. That should have been a red flag but continued on. Anyway, once I got the car back it was as if they guy/kid didn’t even listen to anything I had requested. The car had 2.75 inch exhaust from the headers to the muffler and they threw on a 2.25 inch tail pipe thereby creating totally unnecessary exhaust restriction. I have literally no clue what they were thinking. If you’re looking for anything specific/custom I would avoid this place.

The staff is fantastic and the work they do is impeccable.Edit: 4/12/23 The new decreased hours and unavailability to do an oil change for a week is disappointing as I have to find somewhere else to take my vehicles to accommodate my schedule and availability. ICS: Was pricey $$$ they did great work but, when I asked a price and knew the problem they wanted to charge $149.00 diagnostic fee. If you know this is your new Auto shop and may bring in other people who may use them you have to compromise. They didn't and I found a diagnostic fee of $50.00 and did the Job within hours and did a terrific job and they were busy and got us out in 4 hours. The guys were down to earth and Great conversation. I am no longer interested in Sterling Care..

KRISSY: Don't waste your money here. I just needed one part of my car looked at. I told the guy at the desk what was wrong-it was an obvious issue needing repair. They give you the runaround and claim everyone gets a courtesy inspection and yet then charge you $150 for an inspection that's not even applied to labor.... The guy I worked with was extremely cocky and I decided to not continue business since I felt they ripped me off and I left. Their estimates on repairs (even minor things) were outrageous as well. I was contacted AFTER I had already left and then told me I could get a better rate if I returned. Sadly, you already lost my trust just by letting me walk out and not caring then. I got the job completed elsewhere with quicker service, a far better rate, an actual FREE estimate/inspection and a warranty on top of that. You guys couldn't even provide that. All you gave me was a complete waste of my time and money.

I did multiple inspection at golling toyota, changed my axles, bearings, bumpers. But it was not fixed. I went to Hamtramck shops, many of them. Finally Sa'eed at muffler man was able to fix that sound. He went above and beyond, tightened every screws in the car for over 3 days and fixed it. Kelly Davis: After hearing a noise in my car for a while, I had difficulty getting an appointment at my usual shop. Muffler Man was nearby, so I called. They said to come on over. I did! Very busy place. Everyone was busy working. Henry took my car for a spin, put it up in the air and diagnosed the problem in a matter of minutes. I didn’t even have to wait for an appointment. I dropped it off the next business day by 1:30. I was supposed to wait for my neighbor to get home from work & drive me to get it. Sam said, “I will come get you” And he did! My car was back hours before I had expected, I got all my chores done and avoided rush hour traffic. Most importantly, my 12 year old car is running like a dream!!! SnappedCircuit: Firstly, I called up here because my muffler had broken in 2 spots, and the heat shield was knocked off. Sam was the man who answered my call, he was extremely friendly and said bring it up. Upon arriving he quickly got my car in a bay and showed me exactly what he was gonna do and how much it was gonna cost. We heard some squeaking coming from the engine prior to the car going up so he examined and noticed I had an almost ripped serpentine belt and basically seized pulleys. He said I will fix it no worry. Sam not only saved me from breaking down on the side of the road but also worked with me on a fair price. I would recommend him for anything. Kenneth Kulathilake: Had a broken muffler making loud noise and most of the exhaust was rusted. I ended up replacing every thing after the catalytic converter (resonator and muffler). Price in ebay for that is $300 and they did the job for $526. The additional $226 was way worth than I am laboring under that without a lyft and dealing with all the rust. The place has a pretty old school, grease monkey vibe to it and I actually prefer that knowing that I am not paying for somebody's extravagants. Walked me under the car and let me observe what is broken. They finished the job in 5 hrs from dropping off to pickup even with a car that is not common in this region. Definitely going there next time if I'm not doing it myself.

Katelin Romick: Doug, the owner, was a very genuine, communicative, and professional guy. He treated me like an equal and informed me on exactly what components of my car wasn’t working and why. He kept communication with every action he did by calling me constantly (for initial transmission test, what it came back with, before putting spark plugs on, how it performed during test drive after work), he truly went above and beyond. Also very reasonably priced. If I need future work done, I will be coming back to him and him only. Really wonderful service all around - thanks Doug for working me into your busy holiday schedule in my complete desperation!

N B: Biggest scammers, I brought my car in because my brakes were making a noise, they call back saying my brake's were really bad and my rear brakes were totally wore out, they gave me an estimate of $1000 saying that it might be more because they don't know what else they will find. I immediately went to pick up my car and brought it to another place down the street, which I should have taken my car in the first place, the owner who's a master mechanic checked my car, said my rear brakes were good had 50% left on them and my front brakes were very good, I just needed new rotars and some other things, it's going to cost me a little over $400. I will never take my car to muffler Man on Groesbeck again and I don't recommend it to anyone. I can't believe how dishonest people can be. You guy's should be ashamed for ripping off inocent hard working people who can't afford to have new car's.
