J P: I was having a difficult time with the paint I had purchased to paint a desk. I had purchased the paint at a different paint store. The color wasn't right. The paint my color consultant had suggested to me initially was a Sherwin-Williams, however, I decided to go a cheaper route. Eric Sunday was working when I went into Sherwin-Williams that day. Eric listened to my problem and assisted me with correcting the problem and was very friendly and accomodating. He made my day! The batch he processed for me worked and he gave me a great discount. I was not expecting such service. As a result, I have been back to get the paint to put on my walls and will continue to go to Sherwin-Williams for all my future paint and paint tools.
Dino Halilovic: I went there this morning to buy some paint and they were charging me 70$ a gallon of semi gloss white paint that I usually pay around 40$ The guy named ROBERT told me that my account is not good for some reason and I believed him and I paid for the paint and then I went to another store on Big Beaver Rd and Troy to return the same paint since I was thinking it is overcharged and the guy over there was surprised how much they charged me and he calls the store to see why did they charge me that much and then they told him to sent me back there so they can correct everything. I DON'T RECOMMEND TO ANYONE TO GO THERE TO BUY ANYTHING WHO knows how much people they overcharged THY ARE NOT TRUST WORTHY. !!!!!!!!

I should've gotten the basic one, which does not have anything added. Since the associate knew that I wasn't sure what color I needed, why didn't he suggest that color to begin with, so I could darken it as needed?I wasted $30 for a gallon ( no smaller size available) and I have absolutely no use for it. I have to go waste another $30 for hopefully the right color.From now on, I will stick to ACE. They have great service and know how to help me get the right colors.

David Baehr: Great paint. They have a glass mask paint that is great. Paint it on the glass, don't worry about getting on the wood it acts like a prime. I spray painted my French style doors, a lot of glass. When done you cut along the edge and peel off the paint. Glass mask works.

Both times had extremely nice sale associates help me. I don’t usually leave reviews but they deserve it. That’s how pleased I was with their service.

Sari K: A lot of paint color options and very friendly service. Paint supplies cost are reasonable, but Paint is not cheap. It's about $60-$65 a gallon. I decided to give it a try since most paint brands out there do not perform that well. I can't wait to start painting to see how it looks and how many coats it takes to cover well. I will update my review after I'm done painting.Update 12/29/20: Down from 5 to 4 stars. Superpaint works well so no need to prime spackle. However for some reason navy blue paint is not easy to work with. Tends to leave streaks of you don't paint really fast. We had to do 2 heavy coats for good coverage while the gray covered perfectly in one coat. Now you can forget about navy blue if you use the Duration paint. For some reason neither color nor coverage went well. We tried three coats with no luck. Went back to to the Madison heights store and told the store manager about it but he blamed it on the 3/8 inch nap we used. Really, it's smooth drywall. Anyway he did not offer to resolve the issue and we had to buy a gallon of Superpaint instead. So not happy with customer service after spending over $500 on paint. Very disappointed.

C Leann: Can't get thru to anyone on their phone system. Keeps saying press * for main menu but doesn't give options to get to anything else including talking to a live person. Very frustrating.
Ryan Brown: I ordered four gallons of polyurethane. When I opened the first can, there was a white chunky layer at the bottom of the can. After stirring for 15 minutes, the polyurethane looked like it had orange juice pulp in it. I opened the second can, which was covered with polyurethane on the can before opening, and it was a much darker shade than the first can, and also had a chunky layer that would not stir in.I contacted the company for a refund three days ago and they asked me to send pictures of the polyurethane. I provided the pictures via email and I have not heard back. I contacted them yesterday and they said I would hear back by the end of the day and I have not heard back. They sold me junk that has probably been sitting on a shelf for years and has oxidized and they should provide me with a refund. Very poor customer service. I should not have to chase people down and follow up constantly to get a refund on a $200 purchase when the company sent me garbage polyurethane. Totally unacceptable.If you want a quality product with a company who has good customer service, take your business elsewhere. Terrible experience in general. 0 stars if I could.Edit: The company contacted me via email shortly after the review was posted and arranged for a return. Although they initially said that I was required to pay return shipping (on 4 gallons - 33 lbs of defective product that they shipped to me), I was ultimately provided with a shipping label by the store.

Asked me questions to make sure I knew what I wanted gave me straight prices and gave me my space when deciding my colors. I was afraid I'd feel pressured at 1st but not only was I comfortable they had a small Keurig so I made myself a cup of coffee while my paint was mixing. It was very quick service and with the coffee still in my hand he offered to take the paint to my car. I pulled up and Devin was right there to drop it off in my car.Thanks! Great work!

And Karen is the most helpful, knowledgeable, and compassionate employee ever. As a former painter, she not only knows everything about paint types and colors, but she is happy to take the time to share her wealth of knowledge with you and educate the customer about the choices and options out there. Plus, she expertly mixed two colors we needed for a color match. These colors and its sheens are flawless and completely disappeared with touchups on the interior walls. After I had a nightmare experience with a painter I found online, she recommended to me Chris Wise of Wize Painting and I couldn't be happier with the results. Karen at Benjamin Moore for the paints and Chris Wise and his team for the painting are the dream team you need to get the paint job done right at a very reasonable price! Thank you so much!!
