Maryn O'Brien: Its been over ten years since i saw Dr. Tuazon and I am still livid with the treatment I received as a child. Prior to seeing this office, I had no jaw problems. I have since been diagnosed with TMJ on one side of my jaw, which I partially attribute to a harrowing experience where my jaw was forced open beyond its limits for 45 minutes during a routine filling as a 12 year old-- after, Tuazon asked me "why are you crying? There's no reason to cry," when I physically couldn't close my jaw after the procedure. The last appointment I had here, he claimed I had 3 cavities-- I saw 2 other dentists and one orthodontist in the next 6 months who said I had NONE. I can only imagine how many of the fillings I had during the 2 years I was a patient here were actually necessary. Listen to your children. Get a second opinion. I still struggle to trust dentists and pursue regular care due to my treatment at this dentistry.

He called the office to pay the rescheduling fee as well as reschedule the appointment. They said they would call us to reschedule. They never called. He called again in a couple weeks, they said they would call. Here we are 3 months later and still no contact. We understand that there is only one dentist and i am sure he does a superb job but the lack of communication from the office staff on whether we can get another appointment is very disappointing. We will be going elsewhere.

Eric Johnson: My children 5 and 7 had X-rays taken at a different office last year. Therefore, they weren't due for X-rays for several years. The office refused to treat them since we wouldn't agree to the unnecessary X-rays. Also, they don't allow parents to go back there with their children, so you don't have any idea what is happening.

Hannah Spurr: I really don’t like that you can’t go back with your child. I would understand if they were a preteen and older but I have a 4 year old and I don’t get why I couldn’t go back. Don’t like that so I’m not going back!!

Kelly W: Very disappointed in this office and it’s policies. I took my 13 and 15 yr old children here since age 3. They were due for cleanings in spring 2020. With everything going on the last 2 years, I never got them appts. I called today to get them in and was told I can’t. Since it’s been over 2 yrs since they’ve been there, they are considered new patients and they don’t take new patients over age 12. However, they do take patients who have been there consistently through 18 yrs old. Apparently, this has been their policy since pre covid. The lady also went on to tell me that they aren’t equipped to take take care of my children’s needs. They both need a teeth cleaning and one needs a baby tooth extracted prior to getting braces. I can’t imagine those services are beyond their expertise.How disappointing that even during a pandemic they don’t value their patients! Very poor customer service!

Matt Z: TAKE NOTE ON ALL THE 1 STAR RATINGS! This place is the worst. They don't want parents involved in their young child's care. They will only take appointments IF your willing to ABANDON your child at the door and let them do what they please while your left far enough away to not hear the child screaming. They call this their "child separation policy." If your a loving parent who likes to ask questions and wants the best for your child then you will quickly be banned from coming back. What kind of parent is willing to leave a 3 year old with a stranger? Why can't I witness what your doing to my child? What don't you want me to see? This was before, during and after covid so thats not the excuse. The ideal patient to them is someone who has an unlimited budget and doesn't question anything. Avoid this place at all cost if you love your child!

I took my oldest here for othro starting about 7 years ago and the staff was the nicest, working with me for evening/Saturday appointments around my work schedule and using phone/drop-off for all paperwork. I took my youngest here for her first ortho evaluation in August 2021, no evening or weekend appointments available. Weeks later we were told to leave the practice because I wouldn't register in the online patient portal for future appointments (I have too many user names/passwords to keep track of already and never needed it here before). This week I found out from her regular dentist they never sent a report of seeing her AND missed two ectopic tooth eruptions! Dr. AJ was so wonderful for my oldest that it's a shame that our experience with this office this year was a far cry from what it once was.

Alexis H.: I have to say by far the kindness and consideration on the phone by the receptionist, I believe she said her name was Olivia, I spoke to last week was exceptional, usually when I experience calling doctor’s offices I am met by a voice who is none too pleased to be on the other line. She took time to answered my questions, and was wonderful to talk to. Such a breath of fresh air!

Courtney Labutte: Called to schedule my child’s first dentist appointment. The receptionist told me that they are no longer taking new patients and to call back in a few months to see if they will have any openings for a new patient. Since I did not want to wait that long, I asked for a referral. The receptionist stated that she didn’t have one. How can you not have a referral if you are not taking new patients? Cooking with Rae: If I could give this dentist negative stars I would. They do not want the parents to go back with their children for their appointments. I’m not sure what 2 or 3 year old is ok with this. For some reason I continued to schedule here in the “special care room” even though they seemed rather rude and upset that I was doing so. My mom instinct told me to switch offices multiple times, but my daughter seemed to like them and we were with her in the special care room. At my daughters last appointment they found a cavity. They told me to again schedule a special care room for the filling. We went for the filling appointment and they refused to allow a parent in the room. After being talked to rude by the assistant, my child was crying. They kept saying “you will have to reschedule when she can go back alone.” She was already overly nervous about the appointment but said she would do her best. Now she is traumatized because they acted like she was a baby for not being able to go back alone. My child just turned 5 and has never had a filling before. I think she acted APPROPRIATELY by being nervous but willing to do it with a parent present. What’s funny is I called my mother to tell her. And when I said the name of the dentist office she told me this SAME office traumatized my brother 26 years ago when he fell and cracked a tooth. She never took him back and to this day he still is scared of the dentist and traumatized from what they did to him when he was 2 and alone in the back room... I wouldn’t recommend them to my worst enemy. And I will never take my children back here.

Shellie Mantay: We love this office! Dr. AJ Ker on the ortho side is so good with kids. My son just finished his treatment and my daughter is ready to get her braces. Dr. AJ and staff have always took time to explain the treatment and payment. I highly recommend them!

Carissa Typinski: Extremely disappointed with the unprofessional treatment received by Dr. Elizabeth. I thought I had found the perfect dentist initially when starting treatment with Dr. Curt. However, at our last appointment I was blatantly lied to regarding my daughter’s treatment. When I tried to clarify contradicting information with Dr. Elizabeth she became extremely defensive and dismissive. The more I sought answers, the more upset she became until finally, she simply stated she could not provide care to my daughter at ALL. She referred me to two specialists: one of which doesn’t treat children, and one does not perform the treatment she claimed that my daughter needed. I was told I could escort my daughter to the treatment room and get nitrous set up, when they came to get my daughter for treatment, they told me absolutely not. When I brought this up to Dr. Elizabeth, she stated oh yes, you could have brought her back. The plan was for her to take a closer look at my daughter’s tooth to determine next treatment steps. She called me back and stated she was not able to get a good look because my daughter was too scared. But then in the same conversation stated she couldn’t perform the needed treatment and had to refer out. Not sure how that conclusion was drawn if she couldn’t get the good look she needed? There were about 5 different contradicting aspects to the appointment, and any attempted clarification on my end resulted in anger and her actually storming out of the consult room. She led care with her emotions, and in the end, refused to allow us to make an appointment with anyone in the office or refer to anyone that could actually treat my child. She left my child without a provider or a direction for me to turn to as a parent. What started as a dream practice turned into an absolute nightmare. The women in the office expressed their sympathies and tried to help in anyway they could. It was an extremely disappointing experience, and if you plan to play an active role or question treatment, this may not be the place for you. The more I researched, the more I’ve found that it is commonplace to be “banned” from the office without appropriate reasoning. There is no place for this type of unprofessional behavior when your are treating people’s children.

Jason Newberg: I called them today because my ortho was on vacation and my permanent retainer broke and a very sharp piece of metal was stabbing me in the tongue. They were awesome and got me in the same day even though I was not their patient. Everyone there was very nice and after fixing my retainer, the doctor told me he wasn't going to charge me for the repair... I'M NOT EVEN HIS PATIENT! I cannot recommend him enough, he really cares about people and their comfort more than anything. I had called 5 other orthodontist offices before this one and no one was willing to help me, and he did it for free. Amazing.

I was very impressed that the doctor speaks to you after the exam and gives you a report personally. The waiting room was full, which also shows a great patient base and happy customers! Being in the healthcare industry myself, it's nice to see a doctor that is nice and takes time to explain things to you. He treats you like a person. I have lots of issues with my teeth at the moment will need extensive work .......I can truly say I am glad that I found this office. Once the pandemic is under control ...I will bring my kids here......the front desk lady was also awesome ...... I apologize for not remembering her name.
