I didn't catch the name of the sales associate who helped me out, but I believe he was the manager. I was able to Pick-up my online order and he made a suggestion which I appreciated to complete my order. I paid for the order and the sales associate thanked me for coming in. I had been helped by him before and would highly recommend this location for one's automotive needs.Plenty of parking, handicap parking, door are usually propped open for a warm welcome. They accept cash, credit cards, debit cards, gift cards.In store shopping and online orders and delivery are available (Same day delivery with orders over $50) check with your local store as each store may differ in policy.

Robin Lewis: This was the best experience I've had in a retail store in a long time. Erica who waited on me was very professional and nice. I don't think that it took more than 20 minutes for the complete transaction to be complete including checking my battery and alternator to determine the problem selling me the battery, making sure to give me my military discount and installing the battery all done by Erica. I don't like trying to get any auto issues fixed and don't usually like the cost or outcome. With that being said Erica made this a more than pleasant experience and I will certainly let anyone I know they should visit store #05826 in Madison heights and see Erica for outstanding service. Smackledorf Mcsween Sr.: I stopped in to get coolant for my truck so I wouldn't blow the engine by overheating it. They also have same day delivery when you order from their website. I needed a pulley that I couldn't drive to pickup and for the fee of $8.99 someone brought it to me. That was a good look. Unlike certain other stores, (I'm looking at you O'Reilly's and AutoZone 👀).

Lauren G: This place will not install batteries unless you arrive first thing in the morning. I bought my battery after calling to confirm the installation would be free and did not need an appointment. I arrived with my young son and it was 3 hours before closing, the two men working looked at me as if they were annoyed. The older guy told me they won’t be installing my battery “this time of night” and the younger guy told him that he spoke to me on the phone earlier. Obviously the young guy lost that battle because they were really happy to take my money but refused to install my battery. He put it in my car, on the floorboard. He told me to come back the next day, and of course I had to get my car jumped the very next day at 730 AM in order to get my son to school. We arrive after school lets out, and the employees are smoking outside, directly in front of the entrance. I smoke, but that’s extremely unprofessional, especially when customers can see you. Another man installed the battery within 10 minutes. So, the reason that they refused to help me the night before was so the older guy wouldn’t be “alone” for an entire 10 minutes....(would have to help other customers if they came in)....I was the only customer.This taught me that I should just learn how to do these things so I don’t need to rely on so called “experts” next time I need assistance. It’s a bait and switch tactic, they take your money, tell you what you want to hear, and then the circumstances suddenly change based on how lazy the employees are feeling that day.

I chose to buy a battery here because of the advertised free installation, although it could have been found cheaper elsewhere.After purchasing the battery I was informed by the employee that he wouldn’t be able to help me because they were short staffed. At this time there were two employees in the store and only one other customer. After driving home and having an unfortunate time replacing the battery on my own I return to the store to get the core refund. At this time I was helped by the other employee while the original employee ate his pizza behind the counter. The service was fine overall otherwise and both employees were friendly enough, but I’m annoyed that my day got even longer after already waiting two hours to get my car jumped.I would recommend you go to Autozone instead if you are looking for free installation as they have never refused to assist me.

David Harp: So, let me tell you, I worked at Murray's Discount Auto during the stores, our, heyday in the late 1990's at 12 Mile and Dequindre. Busiest Auto Parts Store in History. So I can officially say Advance Auto is just okay. Auto parts stores have changed with online shopping and auto stores are a pale shade of the old days. Advance Auto is nearby and convenient, selection and store design are lame, service is cold, all attitude and no personality. Loss prevention designed stores are lame. Still though a lame day at the auto store is better than nothing.

However, I didn't know the battery inside the car was located in the wheel well and they would not be able to install. Matthew and the young lady (I didn't get her name) were very gracious in giving me a boost to the dead battery in my car, while also giving me options for a place to go for the install. They both were so very nice and very helpful!😊

UMAID RIZVI: Worst place, the women who working was drunk and her colleagues were just making fun of that she wasn't able to find parts that i ordered online and i had to go to get them and she was having problems with computer and colleagues smiling while i was there instead of helping her. And they gave me open transmition oil with lose cap, this is ridiculous and horrible customer service they gave me.
