Warren Consolidated School of Performing Arts: what do users think?
kaden selvidge: I transferred to sterling heights high school just to attend this program, and was treated horribly by staff. They only value their own job security, which includes a woman with a doctorate teaching at a high school. Thinking she never actually graduated from high school. You would think a doctorate would get you further than a high school, correct? Something went horribly wrong in this program, and it is clearly deteriorating with high staff turnover. If your kid is begging you to remove him/her from the program, please do. They are suffering. The extra star is the ounce of compassion that comes from the costume department.
Vulpecula: 👍👍👍
Nicole: The micro aggressions here are almost enough to make you want to leave the program. If you’re a poc have fun at the shop calls.
Adam Soccorsi: Top notch experience!
Signing Out: 10/10 would recommend!
Sara Hanson: Everyone works together as a team, auch dedication and devotion. The staff arw absolutely amazing. Many amazing memories on that stage. Late nights, hard work and dedication from all made this the beat 4 years of my life. My experiences i had, i still carry with me! I love you WCSPA (TAPP)🖤💛thespian troup 1000💛🖤
Mark Fallows: Went to see an excellent performance by a Filipino singer on Sep 8. This is a real nice performing arts auditorium. They have excellent sound and lighting systems. Don’t know why they are not drawing top caliber bands or theater organizations. Any professional act would love to perform here. They should do some advertising.
Kelly H2O: Since my review was deleted on facebook I'll post one here. We moved to Sterling Heights specifically so my daughter could attend WCSPA. She had to audition, which I'll let you know is bogus since everyone gets accepted. The program sounded fantastic. You're told that your student will be taught how to use power tools, learn how to sew and all about costume design, as well as dancing and acting, lighting etc. Well my daughter learned how to cut a piece of wood and how to dance. If you are overweight the dance teacher will treat you poorly. she told my daughter she understood that she was 'weighted down' , meaning she was overweight and therefore couldn't jump as high, but that she needed to try harder. my daughter and the other heavy girl in the class were always in the back row. if you're the head of the booster club you're kids will get the main parts, even though they aren't the most talented. There was barely any acting classes (improv, games etc), mostly just dance. when there was acting the teacher was very critical, not allowing the students to be imaginative. My daughter will be attending a different school in September.
Joyce Leneway: Took my Granddaughter to see The Cat in the Hat last night. The play was outstanding! The Cast was outstanding! The ppl were outstanding. My Granddaughter just turned 4 years old. On Sophies birthday my daughter gave birth to a 3 daughter so my Granddaughter didn't get the celebration she should have. My sister got tickets to see the play on March 25. 2017 my sisters friend was the mother of Delaney aka the cat in the hat, the cat came out and brought Sophie a book and even took time with her and let us take pictures! The pictures are beautiful!! Sophie aka my Granddaughter was scared at first but Delaney was so sweet to her that within min Sophie was in the cats arms and pictures were snapping! We had a blast, Sophie was clapping and dancing and singing, she's never been to a movie or a show and she was so good, she had a wonderful magic experience, thanks to the cat in the hat. Sophie was dressed in a beautiful ruffled pink dress, she had on a headband and had a magic wand. I believe dreams came true last night for her and I'm so very happy. Thank you for your beautiful auditorium and staff, thank you for everything! There was different ppl standing there taking pictures, one man I believes works taking pictures for the school, you have to see them they are beautiful. I've got some as well. I just wanted to say thank you times 100%. You guys have a beautiful school, a lot of talent is coming out of your school, we're proud to have been a part of that magical night.
Carl Weckerle: Great auditorium to watch school plays and events.
Andre Nasser: I want to join

Doug Petz: Anna is wonderful - Very patient and very instructiveI highly recommend taking a lesson at the Dance Scene
Cody Rowan: If I had the option to give 10 stars I gladly would! My fiancé and I had the best experience here! We both were interested in learning a few ballroom/waltz steps for our wedding and neither of us had any previous experience but Anna was amazing, she made us both feel so comfortable and confident on the dance floor. We learned so much in our 1 hour private and we are both looking forward to taking more classes here soon.
Josh: Signed up as a new student for a few lessons to learn the basics and had a blast. Very positive and welcoming environment. Stephanie is an amazing instructor. Thank you for teaching me to dance!
Cedric McSween: Our experience with working with Anna for the past several weeks has been AMAZING!!! Her training style, knowledge and warm personality makes it easy to learn the various techniques from her. I rate her excellent in the area of ballroom dancing and we look forward to working with her again at the next dance class. Thanks Anna!
Jennifer Wahnschaff: The Dance Scene is a great place for dancers of all age and experience level. Anna is a wonderful instructor and takes the speed and attention needed based on your level. Alex Nestorov: Anna has been fantastic and we are very thankful that we found the Dance Scene. She was able to teach us how to Viennese Waltz and choreographed our 3+ minute wedding dance in just over a week. Her calm, kind, and knowledgeable demeanor put us at ease. The studio is in great condition, with mirrors all around, and we were able to have our lessons totally private at certain days/times, which was not a possibility at many other big name studios. Thank you!!!
Rachel Cecilio: Anna choreographed our first dance for our wedding and it was an absolute pleasure to work with her. We have had so much fun and the nerves have completely gone away after just two lessons! We can jot recommend Anna enough!
Kevin Kelsey: The Dance Scene is a great studio. Anna, the owner, operates a well run, organized operation. Stephanie, is a fabulous dance instructor. Both Anna and Stephanie are terrific dancers. The Saturday night socials are lots of fun with the opportunity to dance with many beautiful ladies.
Sarah Ventimiglia: I have nothing but positive things to say about my experience at the Dance Scene!!! My fiancé and I decided to do their new student special and loved it so much that we continued to do group classes! We have been with the dance scene now for about 3 years, and most recently have started our private classes for our wedding :) Anna and the rest of the staff are exceptional! And it’s a great way to meet new people too. Couldn’t recommend more, and will continue to return to the Dance Scene for years to come!
J Pryce: Classy, consulting, knowledgeable and attentive.Beautiful studio with wonderfully talented instructors who are always willing to provide guidance, assistance and extra attention for anyone interested in learning or acquiring new dance skills. My fiancé and I have been attending weekly lessons for 6 months now and have already learned basic and advanced combos in several styles including swing, west coast swing, salsa, tango, merengue, bachata and foxtrot dancing. Recently started attending Dance Scene’s Saturday night dance parties as our weekly date night ritual and cannot thank Dance Scene enough for all the guidance, fun and glam they have added to our lives. Thank you again to Anna, Moises, and Stephanie from Dance Scene for all of your hard work, dedication and commitment to your students and community and for making us feel like real rockstars every time we hit the dance-floor.
Ethan Johnson: The Dance Scene is awesome! I would highly recommend. The instructors are very patient and excellent at breaking complicated routines into steps that are easy to learn.
Genevieve Craig: My husband and I took dance lesions with Stephanie for a surprise first dance for our wedding and it was an absolute blast! We were worried that our lack of dance skills/knowledge would be a problem, but Stephanie worked with us to make sure we felt comfortable and had fun when we danced for the first time in front of our family and friends.I recommend the Dance Scene family to anyone who is interested in taking lessons for any reason whatsoever! You are truly treated like a priority and I’ll miss seeing them every week for classes.Thank you again Stephanie and Anna for everything you’ve done to make our first Dance and wedding day a memorable one!
Jennifer Rivard: Anna makes everything so easy! She is a great dance teacher. I recommend the dance scene for anyone who wants to learn dancing. The Dance Academy: what do users think?
Kia Williams: Staff told me there was hip hop class today 1045am I get here there's no class!!! Only ballet 🤔what a waste of my time and gas !!! No wonder I never heard of this place never again!
Lexi Skye: RUDE service to start off with. Second , they don’t smile when your trying to be nice and at least try to give them your business. They don’t listen when you explain and they care less. The owner is very rude tbh she wasn’t even smiling and she just stood their looking at me. The front desk lady was alright but when I came in no greeting no nothing it looked like she didn’t wanna work.when I was explaining staff to her she just looked uninterested and zoned out. Don’t go here the service is horrible from not only the front desk but the manager/owner herself. I wonder how they treat kids and run classes. I was considering bringing my child not anymore from what I seen.I warned you please save your money and time for someplace that cares and wants business. Save yourself from rude service and this place is very scary the location is in a literal mall in the basement. Go somewhere else there’s lots of dance studios around that want your service. I’d recommended Robert Lee dance studio if you live near there or Jeannie Zimbalatti’s school of dance best in Michigan.
Kimberly Willisms: It was very fun
Ken Obryan: My daughters love this place there a great dance place for kids every thing is very well organized and maintained. The dance instructors are very paitent with the kids and the facilities are well taken care of. The only complaint I have is that there isn’t a family bathroom for dads with there daughters. I see more and more fathers with there daughters at dance anymore and we need a place to take them to change or use the bathroom. The last few times the family bathroom in the mall has been closed resulting to going to the men’s bathroom my my daughters. We love this place and continue to come every week. Hopefully this might get the wheels turning!
Theresa Mack: My daughter has autism ,but felt very comfortable there with staff and dancers. Which made me comfortable.
LaQuina Bates (Ms Q.): They are never there when I go and I tried calling. There's no answer! I'm not understanding why this business is up and no one is there
Amanda B: We are a new family of The Dance Academy and we are very impressed by the studio and by the teachers. We are excited for the journey with this studio!
Potato Cookie: BEST PLACE EVERRRRRR
TheMainEventOfficial: Awesome place to dance! They really care about the kids and are a positive space.
Josie Mitchell: Great teachers that work with there students and take there time to make sure that they understand what they are playing
Langelo Yalo: My daughter has been attending piano and voice lesson here since she was 4 years old. She is 7 now and we are still here. Their instructors are excellent.
Nicole Woods: Terrific caring staff! Always working to better the education of their students...:)
lisa dye: What a great place to learn the art of dance! Nurturing and fun for the students, it makes me almost want to join in! Beautiful space, terrific staff...it doesn’t get any better!
Christina Tina: I've been dancing at this studio since i was 2, there isn't a day that i can't say that it has made me into the person I am today. The teachers are all more like mentors than anything else. Just amazing
Eva Pengelly: I have only been dancing at the dance academy for one year and it has been awesome! the dance academy is the most organized studio ive ever been to. I love it here and I am very happy to be apart of this dance studio. :)
Cheryl Baker: Best studio ever! Emma has been here since she was 2 1/2 and will never leave! The teachers, staff and students are all amazing and supportive!
Shelby Fugitt: I've been dancing at The Dance Academy for about twelve seasons now. I love (and have always loved) all of my teachers, huge classrooms, and fellow dancers. I wouldn't want to go anywhere else!!!
Alexis Brown: Awesome staff and dancers! The Dance Academy truly is a place where no matter what you look like youre accepted.
Alexis Swasey: i have been dancing here since i was 4 and i love the staff and i have learned so much dancing and it's a organized company and i just enjoy dance here
Erica Chapman: Been dancing here for 12 years! Big CLEAN facility! Wonderful staff! Happy to spend all my years of dance here(:
S Jones: The scheduler is patient offering instructor flexibility based on needs. The variety of instruments for beginners is also great. They take leadership offering suggestion but, always give the customer what we prefer. Very professional. Great plsce

RELEASE: what do users think?
Margie Ellis: Had a great time taking a salsa class with a group for a bachelorette party. The studio is beautiful & clean, and our instructor was amazing!
Courtney Skrinner: I have been coming here for about a month consistently and love it! I have the monthly unlimited pass which allows me to go to any class. It’s worth it! My favorite classes so far have been any hip hop class with Jayce and Modern with Martha. Both are amazing and positive teachers!
Tahrim Zaman: One thing I love a about this studio is the amount of variety you have when it comes toclasses. The Instructors are always super sweet and talented and always make you feel like you’re never out of place when around a group of experienced/beginner dancers. I thoroughly enjoyed seeing a bunch of OG’s coming out to teach popping, locking, and even breaking! You don’t see to many studios adding such elements of hip hop and being taught right. Love the studio and the vibe, culture, and amazing people it brings ✊🏾
Tatianna Gore: I've been coming to this studio for almost three years now, and it is definitely the highlight of my week. The atmosphere here is so inviting and accepting, dancers of all skill levels are sure to feel comfortable. The teachers all genuinely want you to enjoy the class, not just get the combo. But even with this approach, my dancing has vastly improved since I began coming here. I also really like how they consistently have pop up classes and guest teachers, so it is not the same thing every week. I highly recommend checking out a class or two, even if you've never danced before, or it has been a long time since you last did.
Clare McCoy: The owner Olivia is off the wall rude! I’ve never been treated with such disrespect and disregard. Being an owner/instructor I would expect her to be encouraging. She basically said to the whole class that we wasted her time because we couldn’t do the dance moves. The class was supposed to be for beginners! I will never go back there and you shouldn’t either.
Jenna Cody: I went to a BEGINNER Heels class with some of my best friends, and I would never have done it without the recommendation of one of those friends after she took several classes here. Now neither of us will ever be back. Knowing ahead of time that none of us had experience, it was an opportunity to try something fun and new and we were excited to learn. However, Olivia (the studio owner and one of the instructors) was so aggressive and off putting during the whole class. It felt as if we were not welcome there and she treated it as a world class performance (making it obvious who she approved of and didn’t). We were trying our best, but found some of the moves to be challenging. We struggled, but tried anyway. She told us later that the “moves are simple if you just do them,” and repeatedly told us she has “20 years of experience” and that it was “disheartening” to have people in this class who don’t have the foundational skills. As a BEGINNER course, I was led to believe we would be encouraged and empowered, regardless of how skilled we appeared to be. We were there to LEARN. I was also shocked when we would try the routine and the instructors would no longer guide us—it was hard to remember all of the moves as they were quick and they moved on so fast after showing us each step. I wanted to enjoy it, I was very nervous stepping into that room but I had hope that my anxiety would go away once I felt accepted and comfortable, though that never happened. I left feeling shocked, hurt, and foolish, and I am hesitant to ever try a dance class again. I never had the opportunity to dance when I was younger, and I was absolutely blown away when another adult woman made me feel ashamed for trying. I encourage others to go elsewhere unless you have as much experience as the instructor.
Bree Plotzke: There is truly so much to say about this amazing place. I danced competitively for 11 years and kinda lost my place after I turned 18 and couldn’t compete. I lost dance for over a year and missed it terribly. Dance is why I’m still here today and it’s home to me. I thought I would never be able to dance again until I found Release. I absolutely love the environment and non judgment there. Everyone is very welcoming and loving. This is my new safe place to grow and learn while having fun while being encouraged and supported. So beyond grateful for Release 3
Breyanna Otlewski: Coming to this dance studio every week for their drop in classes has been the best part of my week for the last year. The instructors are amazing and super encouraging no matter your level! The other dancers are so nice and the energy in the studio always makes the class. Couldn’t recommend this studio enough!
Cassidy Spurr: I danced for 15 years growing up and fell out of it for a couple years after…now I’m back to dancing weekly and it changed my life completely. Release restored my passion and for that I will be forever grateful. Please come check it out and find your new or old passion again!!!
Christie Kim: First time learning dance, little challenging but super fun, and high energy. Totally worth it. I signed up for monthly unlimited after dropping in on one of the classes.
Annalise Walker: So welcoming and such great staff!
Jennie Bautista: Mine.
Ella Ward: I love release!!!! I love ronnie !!!!!!!! I love olivia !!!!!!!
Alexandra Klemesheva: Absolutely love Erika's latin fusion class! I'm not in any way a trained dancer, very much a beginner just doing it for fun and she makes it a comfortable environment, breaks down the steps, always ready for questions. It is a bit of a challenge for someone like myself but it's a great time learning and putting moves & steps together. Highly recommend! The studio is beautiful as well.
Chong: Loved the Latin Fusion class. I'm not a dancer, absolutely no experience. The instructor was great, made it fun.
Lauryn Haling: Through this space, I've made so many new friendships/connections, and my knowledge/experience has expanded tremendously. No matter why you dance or want to start dancing, RELEASE provides a space for you to grow, learn, and (most importantly) have fun on your own terms!
ZADA KUMMERL: I have wished for a place like this to exist for long. I am so happy I have found this incredible studio that has such a welcoming, supportive, and fun environment and staff. I can't say enough good things about this studio. I'd recommend this place to ANYONE!! - Retired dance or new dancer - you will fit in and feel great! I look forward to coming here each week!!
Sarah Beaupre: Release has been my second home for the past year and a half thanks to all the incredible staff and dancers. This studio is so welcoming and has such a passionate group of teachers. I’ve made so many new friends and It’s a beautiful space with amazing energy. I’m truly growing as a dancer while still having lots of fun. I’m thankful to have release as a place to create and experiment with dance.
Daria Fedina: I place I've been looking for! It gives community, a fun way of exercise, new skill to learn. Everybody is super welcoming and there are classes of every level and style. If you have danced before or if you have never danced, you need to check this place out.
Jayce Rothrock: This studio is something I've been looking for for a long time. They're a drop in based studio that has a wide range of classes in all levels - from beginner all the way to advanced. It holds a great community of dancers who are all incredibly talented, humble, and kind. I have made amazing friends at this studio and I've never once felt unwelcome there. Dancing at Release doesn't have any pressures and everyone is there to have fun, learn, and just do what they love 💖
Hannah Whitman: I have been taking classes at Release for over a year now and I can’t say enough incredible things about this studio! The staff and other dancers are incredibly welcoming and supportive and have provided me with an amazing community. The space is beautiful and well-maintained and the wide range of classes means you’ll never run out of fun things to try!
