MJR Universal Grand 16: what do users think?
Douglas Cole: Went to the MJR in Madison Heights on mother's day with family members. Spent over $70 dollars for tickets online, but when we got to the theater we were able to walk right in. NOT 1 PERSON ASKED TO SEE OUR TICKETS. Why did I bother spend the money for tickets, I could have just walked right in without even buying tickets. The snack counter was good, but the area where you go your drinks was A MESS. pop spilled all over the counter and trash all over. We did enjoy the theater and movie but then as we left and stopped to use the restrooms, it was awful. Family members in my group said the women's bathroom was DISGUSTING. Toilets were clogged and water was flowing over the tops and onto the floor, just a complete MESS. overall the lack of staff taking care of the place was a complete disappointment.
JJ JJ: Great theater. They really did an excellent upgrade. I used to go here in the 90s when it was Movies 16. The seats are so comfortable. Very clean and organized place. Bathrooms are very clean too. Highly recommended 👍
Rogan Edward: CLEAN MOVIES
Javier Contesse: We don’t go to the movies much cause it’s gotten incredibly expensive. MJR has $5 Tuesdays which is nice, but the place is a little run down
Jabr Algaheim: It was nice and clean, and they had recliner seats.
HELPING HANDS: Nice, relaxing and hassle free, but kinda pricey in my opinion. 💁🏾‍♂️
Oleh Yednak: Very comfortable chairs
wisam yousif: I'm giving this place a five-star due to it is clean, compared to couple more MJR Theater I've been to, in more expensive areas, the seating was very Dairy but this one is good and decent please keep it up like thatI'm giving this place a five-star due to it is clean, compared to couple more MJR Theater I've been to, in more expensive areas, the seating was very Dairy but this one is good and decent please keep it up like that
Latifah Abdullah: No stairs. Set up for handicap. Clean. Need more benches in lobbies for handicaps.
Kenyatta Laurence: Great reclining seats, great movie sound, refreshments are a bit high but it was nice to get out.
Sprite Masters: The floors flat so no stairs to climb. Sorta have to look up at the screen. Pretty retro. Interesting theater. I like it.
Mandy M: This is our regular theater as it is the closest to our home. The last few times that I've went it's been disgusting though. The concession/soda machine area is sticky and has spilled drinks everywhere. The women's restrooms are straight up vile. Toilet paper all over the floor, used feminine products, overfilled toilets. For as much of a luxury as movies are these days, the least of expectations is a clean environment.
willie dunbar: Can't handle busy days😒
Steve Mouton: My reclining chair froze for about 10 minutes in the extended position. Otherwise, it was standard.
Marcus Bullock: Very good time laid back love it.....
April McCain: I did a rental for my daughter and I loved it.
Alicia White: Love the reclining seats. But the place is always FILTHY!!! Clean up PLEASE. Act like Covid is at the peak and clean up.
Cassandra G: Recliner chair free popcorn
J. P.: No long lines
john Cole: Nice theater
T House: This is a decent Theater and we always enjoy ourselves when we come. They have cool perks&points if you become a member which is free and can be upgraded for a few bucks monthly to get a ticket and discounts for your snacks.

AMC John R 15: what do users think?
KENNETH J. LITTLE (KJLBILLIONAIRE8): Love the reclining seats
Guillermo De La Mora: This theater is in decent cleaning shape most of the time, and they have always a friendly service, we even had the chance to move our location seats because the auditorium wasn't too crowded.
Ninna BrokenDoll: Nice
Alijah Jordan: I like AMC they worker are so nice their and their quality is nice also
Vstang 60: A great place to watch a movie. I've been going there for years.
Renee Wagner: The place was clean. The popcorn and drinks were delivered right on time and great. The movie was AWESOME
Tyler Rodwancy: Solid movie theater. Concession stand costs are high but the seats are comfortable and generally pretty clean. The staff is always friendly and helpful. This is our regular theater and we visit often.
John Ji: i like that this theatre is not too busy. everyone is relaxed and atmosphere is on the quite side. if that's what you like, it's a good place.only thing I wish is that they have dolby atmos screen room.
Morning Star: Good place.
Robert Washington: It's clean and quiet. The only caveat: cold popcorn.
Jessiie B: Went for a bday party, fun, clean, had a great time
Terrell Ingram: Great place to watch movies 🎬
Cassandra Durkatz: This was a great experience had by us an our family thank you for the quick an friendly service an the Mario Bros was smashing an bustin an us giggling til it almost made us ...
Trisha Poellnitz: I love this location and movie theater. Great seating, and wonderful customer service.
Takesha Shelton: They have the best everything pretzel bites!!!
Ruth Chencharick: We saw Mario Brothers on Saturday. The movie was really good but it was EXTREMELY LOUD. My grandsons had to plug their ears through a lot of the movie. I'm starting to lose some of my hearing and it was WAY too loud for me. Somebody needs to turn it down a little. We paid $115 for 5 of us. Not worth the cost when you really can't relax at all
Kahuna Howard “Kahuna” Howard: Daddy Son day to see JOHN WICK 4 !!!! Great seating and great service. The seats were comfy and SIZE friendly for us TALL and LARGE men and Women....lol...lol. Sound of the movie was great, not to loud just perfect ! POPCORN ! ! ! ! Could be a tad warmer but good.
Tina Golding-Jewett: Best popcorn of any AMC. The red recliners can be a little old but they are more comfortable than the ones in the newer theatres.
Anthony Arroyo: Nice staff and easy parking
Stephanie Cruz: Very enjoyable experience at this theater. Staff is friendly and personable.
Mark Golbeck: Tried calling four times and no one answered. Is this place even open anymore?

AMC Forum 30: what do users think?
Ian Christiansen: Theatre 16 was awesome. Love the Dolby Sound. Seats are very comfy. The everything bagel flavored pretzel bites are worth it! Dried mangos are a good snack addition.
Amanda Lewinski: My fiancé and I see a movie almost every weekend. We are A List members and love it. Highly recommend if you are movie go-ers like us. We only watch movies on Dolby (it’s so much better) so the seats are comfortable and lean back. Concessions are always good-we’ve gotten a variety of food there. Their chicken tenders are amazing!! Staff is always friendly. Drinks are always good. And bathrooms are always clean!! This is a really nice theater overall. I remember going there as a kid too and as an adult I have a great experience.
Ivonne Aguilar: Los asientos están un poco incómodos y rígidos pero todo lo demás es muy bueno
Sharon Rashid: The Manger. LEE was extremely professional, kind, cordial and accommodating. It's very RARE these days to have such consideration to the Consumer as myself who patronizes the business and understands the quality of. "Excellent Consumer Relations" as, LEE who is so very Awesome....Thanks AMC for delegating LEE as your finest Manager!!!👍👍👍
Roshen Mathew: Great screen (Dolby cinema), wonderful friendly staff, and clean theatre! Great place to see a film.
Mark Woudenberg: Clean, well run, great selection
Michael McCarthy: The environmentally friendly straws are bad. I had to go through a couple of different ones that were falling apart inside of the wrapper. The seats are not comfortable. The automated ticket kiosks at the entrance didn't work so we went to the window. The ticket window vendor was crass. The commercials and previews before the feature had the volume cranked all the way up. The concessions attendant that was a nice young lady was great to deal with, not the guy with long hair and glasses though, he gave me the creeps. I'll probably stick with MJR in the future.
Lulu: Pretty decent. Went during Matinee hours, no crowds no trouble. The best way to do it is, order your tickets online so that you won't have to stand in a line. Tickets were very reasonable for adults and children. Will be making a return visit.
Tea Bee: This movie theater over sell tickets. The movie theatre was so crowded, people were sitting on the stairs. A manger came and brought a few foldable chairs, and placed those in the handicap section. Still, some people were out of seats, that were paid for. People were able to get a refund for the movie and concessions, so that was good. But all in all, bad experience. Good thing MJR is down the street.
Patricia Egan-Myers: They have movies not shown in other theaters. The theaters are clean. Service good. The theaters are well maintained.
Darcie: Avatar 2 in IMAX was incredible, but the theater had some big faults. The seating is very outdated, and the prices of the popcorn and soda are outrageous. If I'm paying $9 for a popcorn the size of a lunch bag (see photo), the seats better be nice. The ones in the IMAX theater don't recline at all, and they're quite shallow. I'm not likely to return. I always have popcorn and a soda at the movies.Update:The theater wallpaper was also falling off (see photo). Where the heck does the concession money go?!? Fix up the place!
Carmine Tenaglia: First off, the theater seats were less comfortable then the chairs the CIA uses to interrogate at gitmo. The web experience to buy the tickets was really bad and the experience was confusing.I recommend Emagine or another theater before going here.
Kathy Kujawa: Not crowded, friendly service, good selection of movies. Seats were a little uncomfortable and may need to be updated. Great Coke freestyle machine!
Christina Maier: We went to a 715 movie on a Tuesday. You pay ridiculous cost for pop and popcorn, but at 815, the concessions AND AUTOMATED POP MACHINES were shut down so no one could get the refill they were entitled to. My kids were really disappointed.
rose pattison: First of all when you enter it looks very old. There is no friendly atmosphere. The seats are old they don't recline.. Not worth going to have a nice night out, will not be going back.
Jamie Loper: Nice theater. First time there. I think it's needs to be updated, as far as seating. Staff is friendly.
Cheryl Jarzombek: Too expensive, old seating
Oli: Beware, Scammers! They charged $16.98 on my credit card but I didn't get a ticket online!!!
Liesl Boven: Love being able to put my own butter on my popcorn! Comfy seats in the Dolby theater.
Nate T: Went to watch Metallica 72 seasonsThe theater was garbage. They were paint and wallpaper peeling from the walls, along with the garbage sound system it was like the right side speakers were non functional.Anyone that spoke to each other you could hear over the moviethe left side speakers were so quiet if we whispered to each other it was like we we're yelling. There were 0 sounds from the back of the theater like the speaker were just non existentI have a better sound system on my computer in front of meIf you ordered an adult never it was no less than 12$The movie we paid 60$ for 4 tickets was not even the entire screen it was about 3 ft from each side and 3-ft from the bottom. They didn't even utilize the entire screen for viewersI will never step foot in another AMC again especially that one. Also the directions took us to a Walmart shopping center. We were lost because the theater is behind the shopping center and there is 0 signage to tell you when it was.The guy at the ticket counter was so sore and had a bad attitude he didn't even say hi just scanned our tickets on the phone and looked disgusted at everyoneAMC is also rolling out a higher ticket price for the middle seats if you sit at the side or the very first row they're cheaper but if you choose the middle seats you pay a higher price. Absolute garbage theaterI RECOMMEND FINDING SOMEWHERE ELSE TO GO.
Ram A.: Friendly staff and a great experience. Highly recommend.

Chrissy Jay: I just wish it was clean
Tree B: This place was nice. I took one star off as they no longer have the seasoning shakers any longer. I didn't order popcorn because I really liked the different seasoning they used to offer. The staff was nice and the seats were plenty comfortable! I still would recommend this theatre.
Some Guy: Cashier took his sweet as time counting my change and didn’t even give me the correct amount.Probably never going to come back to this location
Lisa Crawford: Awesome 👌
Lauren McGregor: Friendly staff, not too crowded, very comfortable chairs. This is always our go-to theater.
Natalie Porter: Movie goers are so loud and the place needs to be cleaner. But it’s close and not crowded most times. Concessions are too pricey for the quality but all theaters are that way I guess.
Sharon Rashid: Matt is a very good Managerand can handle matters as I expressed with my recent visit.
ghostfacecyclist: So so and kinda pricey.
Allison Roy: they said we could not go to a rated r movie even though we r 16
Janet Jeffries: Turn the air on and clean the place up please other than that I was very happy. when entering the lobby with my brother who was having difficulty walking and to my surprise came a young man asked did we need a wheelchair and he retrieved it and he pushed brother to his sit and came back and got when the movie ended!!! Kudos to him!!!
Jai'La Cotton: horrible. they kicked me out because i sat in the wrong seat. staff is rude, asked to see my ticket but not anyone else’s.
Dark Man: It was pretty clean and prices weren’t bad
Megan Morici: Great comfy seats but staff had little to no experience on Sunday we went. We went for Avatar 3d...originally got no glasses when checking in at counter.. had to go ask for some omce we realized we need them and gave us the wrong ones. Had to pull used ones for the box.
Dee: Absolutely horrible experience.Apparently I went during the wrong time of day.The showtime was 4:35pm. There were some of thee most disrespectful children in the theater. We complained and a few other patrons complained, but NOTHING was done.We weren't able to enjoy the movie, because the disrespectful kids kept talking to each other and on FaceTime.I started off by saying "apparently I went at the wrong time of day', because I was told that in order to enjoy your movie, you have to come AFTER 6pm, because kids aren't allowed in without a parent or guardian. This should be stated somewhere in fine print OR told verbally when purchasing the tickets, because these kids were out of control and EXTREMELY ARGUMENTATIVE.After the movie, I witnessed some more disrespectfulness in the restroom.Theses kids were speaking to senior citizens very disrespectful. This theater DEFINITELY needs to DO BETTER.I wasted $50+ in movie tickets and snacks, to not even be able to hear/follow the movie.I'm a Star rewards Premium member and I'm EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED
Tj Anderson: Always clean.
Tia Thompson: We love to come to this Theatre! Every year we have a big family and friends movie day where we rent the theatre just for us and we always come to this location. The staff is always really helpful, seats are very comfy and they do recline. prices are good on tickets and concession. Having the reward points definitely help because they do add up.
NYKITA Campbell: It was really nice. I spent over hundred dollars for the tickets and snacks. My kids and I had a date night.
Erica M Brown: Best theatre especially the cocktails!!!
Sarah Brosofske: These threaten is filled with some of the most nasty people and workers. They ruined the new avatar movie for me. Had some teenagers who told and screamed the whole movie and management didn’t do anything about it. I have waited years for that movement to be flushed down the toilet for me. Thank you AMC for ruining what should have been an amazing experience for me!!!
Boom DDY Harris: Love love love this place....Love movies try to go there once a week...
Andre: I recently went to see Avatar: The away of Water at the Dolby Cinema for the first time. Overall I had a good experience. The size of the screen is small and what you would expect from a regular theatre, I'm guessing they just renovated and repurposed the theatre that was there before, to a Dolby one. This is unfortunate, but it is a premium theater when it comes to the audio and visuals. You get 4k laser projection, Dolby Atmos sound (with buttkickers under your seats that give you tactical response for bass), HDR, and as far as I know the only Dolby Cinema in the area that offers movies in 3D (at least Avatar 2). It's noticable right way that the sound is a step way up compared to a standard theatre, so that alone makes up for the smaller screen size. For Avatar, they had HFR 48fps for the underwater scenes which was a nice addition, super smooth. For the movie theatre geeks, the middle of row E is where you want to sit, not to close/far from the screen, and good Atmos overhead.I'm the type of moviegoer that doesn't have a problem traveling to different theatres at all. My go to theatres are Cinemark XD or Emagine super EMAX, but I'll add this to list now, it's a great experience.

Patricia Stewart: I went and watched the new black panther movie the 4pm showing and the front staff service ppl was amazing the reason I am giving a 3 is because there was ppl smoking or vaping weed in the theater and talking loudly after many times of asking to for them to become quite by many ppl and they just progressively worse I have bad hearing and even with how loud the movie was I could barely here the movie out of the ear I do have good hearing with. This was my boyfriends late birthday gift to me and the whole evening was ruined because otlf the 2 bishes that wouldn't stop talking
Kenyatta Laurence: I went to an early movie, it only cost $6.49 before 5:00. Had a wonderful time.
Renetta Meadows: They need to upgrade this theater I will not be going there ever again someone's child COUGHED over my head though most of the movie..... it was a NIGHTMARE!!!
Kaitlyn: Cerfew for movies?? Frustrated to arrive and be told to leave because I didn’t have an ID to watch a pg13 movie!
DeMont M. Knighton: Was a dope experience like old times for me
Hiba Alzubiady: The theatre was disgusting. Not clean, smells bad and not comfortable
Tony Benson: My cherry icee was the bomb dot com
JW: Anytime I come here they never have my pretzel bites available. To have so few customers coming in how are you out of products all the time?I should have went to a different AMC location that I know for sure has it. Not to mention this theatre is very dry and dull. The restrooms are in need of major renovations. This theatre has lost its luster & appeal a long time ago. Nothing looks new or pristine. Can't even get enthusiastic customer service anymore.
Ashanti Lloyd: It's the Minor's trying to get the adults to get them in
Skye Rainbow: Trust me when I say go to mjr in westland or emagine in canton or anywhere is better than here. Expensive concessions counter and seats are old school don't recline and are not comfortable at all, especially for a 2.5 hour movie. Also I've never had a problem at other theaters with other customers but the ones that go here are horrible and ruin the movie experience. Don't go here. Only not a 1 star because I could deal with it.
Lawanda Hamilton: Not a good place. Very dark and most of the concession food was not available. Not very clean. I will not be back.
Christopher Howard: This is by far my favorite place to watch new movies.
Cher Fost: I was uncomfortable, the seats were tight and unkept. They can really use an upgrade like other theaters. At the food stand, it took way to long to get our food and they were out of items already in the middle of the day. In the lobby are it was darts and gloomy. The restrooms was far from okay as well. For the price of movie tickets these days, I would expect a lot better.
Raliegh Green: It was not children friendly
Craig Eddingbourgh: Enjoyed our self's wasn't crowded and it was clean
Kenny Carlson: Old and dirty seating. Concession area never clean.
Nicky Anderson: The row I was sitting in wasn't clean......it could be that they don't have enough employees 🤔.. but only open the theaters you can cover.
Haider Abdallah: Nice theatre, safe, big show rooms but no recliner. Not crowded or full with teenagers.
Mostafa Al-angurli: I went to Detroit with my family friend and we decided to go watch a movie. The employees was like someone has to be the age of 21 to watch any kind of movie even PG movies like what. They were talking about having a curfew and they close at 8:30. I’ve never seen any theater like that. Then we came the next day and turns out the theater closed for further notice. That experience was a total L
Keith E Jefferson: Closest theater to me. Needs an upgrade to the seats & facilities overall
Rebecca Sakry: It was an interesting building

Andrea Williams: Easy entry and clean. Bathrooms are very clean also. Recliner seating. Nice experience.
Sandra Morrow: Enjoyed this movie theater 🎭🎊Great staff and prices 😊 plus it's always clean💫 Loyal customer ‼️🎭
P V: The recliner seats weren’t very comfortable.
Ruth Liarge: Dirty
Jaime Te-Ana: My husband and I favorite movie theater in the Metro area
Shirley Henry: Always clean and I enjoy Tuesdays being able to see movies at $5 with free refills on popcorn and pop.
jo millard lancaster: Clean and very comfortable.
Micah Lee: I like mjr a bit more than amc
J D: Just completely frustrating - my last several experiences have been bad. I keep hoping for a return to glory when MJR was the premiere movie-going experience in metro Detroit - but, it's pretty clear that's not going to happen. My last movie had more cell phones lighting up the theater than the actual movie.Went to the concession counter - it was a mess and just had one employee stare at me and not say a word... I finally tracked down a manager who was sitting at the bar playing on his phone. The men's room floor had puddles of water. At least, let's hope it was water.Pre-Covid I was at the movies about once a week. Unfortunately, MJR has pretty much ruined the movie experience for me. I understand it might be difficult to hire people - but, there's really no excuse for the horrible experience -- when I can go to other theaters, a bit further away and have a darn-near perfect theater experience.
carin onstott: We love coming here. MJR is our movie place. The hotdogs are the bomb!!! Who knew? The workers are always pleasant and we have become friendly with the concession guy. He is usually working on Friday am.
Michael Barrett: This is my theater of choice. Its always clean there, including the bathrooms. The staff are usually helpful when you have an issue. The seating is awesome because of the inclined seating. Will always go back to MJR.
Owen Cauley: The theatre was good, but the advertisement before the movie was absolutely revolting. If I had been with a child, I would have blown a gasket. I'm not easily offended, but this was ridiculous, my friend felt the same way. This is a truly sad reflection of our current society. Shame on you MJR.
Sue Pleiness: Relaxing place, sound too loud
Troilus J Moss: Me, my family and my daughters best friends went to see Mario Brother', and it was entertaining. The movie theater was nice and added the ambiance of watching a movie in the theater.
Linda Woodin: It was too warm and had an odor but the movie was great oh the popcorn was stale and the pop was watered down i tried to get slurpee but that was all water as well ...but i only pd 5 dollars SO You get what you don't pay for
Greg Feldner: Very clean, not a long wait. Private sitting. Our only concern was the website had a different start time for the movie at this location then when we got there
Dave William Boni: Nice VIP seats with recliners. Fast lines for food etc… very clean
E L: Rad place, good service, can't complain.
Sprite Masters: I like this theater a lot. Nice seats.
Evan: I like the seats
David J: My favorite theater to go to. They have many theaters and the snack selection is awesome. It's always better at MJR!

Amey Thomas: Love this place. Friendly staff. Beautiful inside. Best popcorn around.
Helen Giles: It was nice and cold. There weren't but a few people about 8 there. The seats ate comfortable but do not recline. There wasn't a lot to choose from to watch that day.
Melvin Burns: Great Great Great Theatre
Larry: Had theater all to my self came at right time
darcelious simmons: Nice neighborhood quick stop.
trey: the movie sceen was alll black u couldn't even seen the ads if i could rate this 0 stars i would personally i wouldn't even come back to this movie the movie came on and it was still black i went to see super mario and i waste 40 dollars to not see anything stayed like the photo the hole time
Larry Taylor: Great
Ellisa Nelson: It was a beautiful theater. I had an amazing movie going experience
Susan Christie: Popcorn was the best I've had in Metto Detroit area. 2 ppl $22. Tickets & 1 extra LG. Popcorn w/ lg. 2 drinks $22. Parking lot needs work & way better lights but movie, seating, legroom, &cleanliness was good.
Nichelle Haith: The first face I seen was at the ticket counter and he was an older gentleman possibly the manager. When I reached the counter he had his head down reading something, he raised his head looked me in my eyes and put his head back down about 30 seconds passed and he looks at me again and didn’t say a word. He displayed no customer service skills whatsoever. When I got to the theater door popcorn was everywhere I couldn’t even step over it. Inside the theater was worst. Nachos in seats soda spilled candy litter in every single row. I did not have a good experience on March 31. I did go to the ten o’clock showing but there we’re only 8 people in there so no excuse why to place wasn’t cleaned. Anyway no more late shows up there for me.
Leonard Curry: I LOVE this place 😍😍😍😍
David Howard: John Wick was great
Joyce Ann Alfred, BA: I'm grateful they're still open and I can enjoy a place within the city of Detroit with my child as my parents did with me! Thank you!
Black Pill: Was really fun but I don't like how people don't clean up after there staff
Libra Xoxo: I love coming here so much. It's literally so comfortable and peaceful here. I also love the food. I just hate that every time I come the cheesesticks be out which is my fav...
Dedan Douglas: Last time I was here , was the nutty professor and New Jersey Drive was playing!! Lol..
Kanisha Houston: Too many come after 5pm. They weren't quiet during the movie
Cameron Cottrell Sr.: I like the upgrade, they just need to redo the parking lot 🤦🏾😩 almost got a flat
Michael Cade: Went to a movie premiere, and everything was good.
ruby jones: I like coming here but when I have to come and it's nothing but teenagers in the same room it's not cool. I had to tell the workers twice to tell these kids to be quiet Lol I want a refund it was a bad experience that day. I know they want the business so they let all the teenagers in early without parents smh . I hope it gets better when I do go back.
Giovanni Gregory Gordon: Great atmosphere. Great sounds and seats. Clean

Nena Williams: Came here for the first time yesterday on mother's day bought a show for 6:30 because I thought I would be in the mall longer but then asked for a 5pm show Colton acted like it was the end of the world because he had to refund my tickets he even tried to tell me I should stay with my current ticket because 3D was more even though I told him I would pay it he said it 3 more times before he actually did It HE WAS SO RUDE the chairs were out dated and dirty you could see the springs our 3D glasses packages smelled like mildew.. WE WILL NOT BE BACK
Brian Millstead: Worst theater experience of my life. Arrived just after they opened to buy tickets, and come back just before the first showing of Guardians of the Galaxy 3 in Dolby. The place looked like it hadn't been cleaned from the night before. The bathrooms were disgusting. Popcorn was terrible for being one of the first batches of the day, and I can't even describe the flavor of that nasty butter that you put on it. Was really looking forward to sitting in the recliners, as I am a bigger person and the regular seats at theaters are terribly uncomfortable. That was the worst recliner ever, didn't recline fully, and for some reason reclined in two spots. I left just after the previews as my back was starting to hurt, and I couldn't find a comfortable position in that seat. Didn't ask for a refund, As I used MoviePass, and that renews tomorrow. I will not be back. Drive the extra little bit and find an emagine theater. They are cheaper, nicer, and more comfortable.
Christiana “Christi Ana” O.: There is only ever 1 cashier most times, and no kiosk to print your prepaid tickets, so you just have to wait in the one line forever. It's not kept up well anymore and that's kinda sad.
Seth Blackman: This theater is horrible! $10.50 for a large popcorn and they won't even give you a little plastic cup for water. The theater I was in didn't have recliners... just old dirty theater seats. I'll go to Emagine every time from now on. This place will be out of business soon.
Joseph Sanchez: It's a decent theater that's seen better days. They used to do Sun morning 5 dollar movies. I miss those days.
Melanie Wisdom: They only had one person working the concession stand and it was super busy.... lucky we were there 30 mins early or we would have missed the start of our movie.
Ronna Guenther: This place is so gross! Dirty, old, musty and the rudest folks! Emagine theaters are way better by far!
Cait B: My friend was not kidding when she said it was the comfiest theatre.
John Liplison: The service i received tonight was unacceptable. The worker selling me and a group tickets would not let us check out separately and made us split the costs among ourselves. one of my friends has a gift card that they planes in using for themselves but the worker made them use it all to pay for two seats to make the line move quicker. The worker grabbed the gift card out of her hands and used it without question. The worker should not be sacrificing the experience of customers to get the line moving quicker.
Perla Sanchez: ticket casher made things very difficult to buy tickets talking about times being waisted and we need to hurry up because there was people behind us, well first of all that’s not how you treat costumers. If you guys are gonna have works get people that actually wanna work, instead of making things complicated for themselves and costumers. trying to be a good movie theater get better workers.
Ryan MacLeod: We had a group of 5 and the guy refused to ring us up separately. We understand there was a line but we waited our turn just as everyone else did. He then proceeded to take our gift card and charge it even though we said we couldnt use all of it. He was trying to save time but he made it take way longer than it should have. This “movie theather” is ran by IDIOTS.
Grafton Russell: Enjoy a movie with my family. Popcorn and soda were good but a bit pricey as usual.
mary Hernandez: Dirty! Filthy! Feet sticking to the floor as you walk. Came for an early showtime, 2pm. Butter for popcorn empty. Station was a complete mess. Bathrooms smelled terrible. Didn’t even want to rest my arms on the chairs, they were sticky and nasty. Even the walls and door were filthy.
aaron williams: Wont go back place was gross and outdated
Mephistos Demonia: A great place, fair prices and a clean venue
Chris Cardinale: Showed up 35 minutes before the movie started ended up waiting in the concession line for 48 minutes, missed the first 5 minutes of movie for my kids. Next time going to Emagine theater. This place does not know how to manage.
Mamoy Alvarado: Very good place 👏
Amy Savage: Worst experience! No reclining seats & the theater is filthy. The prices are high on concessions & tickets for a nasty dirty experience. We will NEVER come back here again.
Brandy Davis: Chill spot
Gene Testimony Hall: Movie experience was awesome (Dolby Sound and Very Clean and Comfortable Theater)♥️💯‼️ The customer service at the front cashier, THUMBS UP👍, but the customer service at the food counter and the quality of the food left much to be desired! People were unfriendly, Pizza was dry, chicken tenders were HARD, and the fountain drinks were poorly mixed! This type of substandard product is one of the reasons why the Southfield and Fairlane locations closed.Must do better💔😥
Jen Robertson: Absolutely disgusting! Very dirty and dated. Has not been cleaned in a while. We were the first there for an early show so why so dirty? Main lobby, trash and popcorn and drinks spillled on the floor. Nasty bathrooms...then the old cloth seats...when you come home and immediately throw your clothes in the washer and take a shower in hopes that you did not bring bugs home...that's a problem! No way in hell I was getting food there. Health Department needs to pay a visit.

Qui Nguyen: This place not bad a girl works there is cute
Rose Evers: Clean and great service
Paul Willockx: Seats were not up to what most theatres have now and volume was too high. Other than that a normal movie experience.
Louie Luthor: This theatre is amazing, the seats recline, very soft possibly lazy boy brand, and the cinematography on the screens is top notch and the surround system makes it feel so real when watching the movies
Micah Lee: this is my main place to go to tge movies. can't complain about it.
Lorrie ng: Clean and safe, love this theatre.
Tony Bennett: Old school theater, alot nicer more up to date, but clean
ganesh prasath Sivalingam: Came to watch a 9.00 pm show International movie and after the 1st there was a break and the movie did not play and operator is saying they forgot to start. Very bad we paid $44 for 2 people to watch this movie.MJR you need to know what movies are running late.

Nick Z: Good place to see a movie. Cheap matinee prices. Pretty clean, a little aesthetically bare in the main area.
Matt McGrail: Movie was great. Service was great. Theater 9 is stuck in 90s. Seating is worn out and uncomfortable. Needs an update.I only go to MJR theaters, this one was my least favorite of my nearby theaters. Hope they upgrade soon
leila abaab: Friendly staff, free popcorn 🍿 on Tuesdays, and RPX room is my favorite!
Caleb Kristofice: It's a nice theater with fairly cheap movie tickets and overpriced concession stand items. Never had a bad experience and have been going there 7+ years
Mickie Allix: Just saw the new movie to the series Scream and chileeee….I would rate it 10/10! It was THAT good. And the slushees cupssss are hugggeee! That’s a large cup!

AMC Livonia 20: what do users think?
Kevin Kobelsky: Buy tickets online no wait in concession line for Premier members. Nice facility.
aslam shaik: Movies movies I just love watching
A Smith: Not going here unless I absolutely have to. Went to go see a movie in 3D and both the screens were faded or had some big band on them. They haven't updated anything in years It wouldn't be surprising if it's just old.
W G: Terrible. Would not allow my 17 year old son and 17 year old nephew to go to an R rated movie without me. Newsflash: the law allows for all individuals SEVENTEEN and up to go to R rated movies. This was a huge hassle to drive there and have to either leave or buy an additional ticket (we chose the former, to leave) and while this is the closest theater to me, it’s never going to be my choice thanks to this incident.
Ruth Jakobcic: Got there at 945 for a movie that start at 9:45@doors all ready lock.
Nathaniel Hogue: Truly in need of a renovation. It quite dated and not in a good way.
ROBERT Cook: Comfortable seats, great Movie John Wick 4!
William Shelton: John Wick 4. Great movie. Only 3 people in the theater. Tuesday afternoon matinee. Good times.
Crystal Corey: Fun, friendly staff and comfortable seating. Makes the show so much more enjoyable!
Rick Kuzdak: First visit since before pandemic. Surprised that small, uncomfortable, non reclining airplane like seats have never been updated. Everything else was fine but will not return until theater seating is upgraded as other nearby theaters have updated theater seating
Heather Lang: This theater has really declined in the last 4 years. The concession area was filthy! The pop machines were backed up and sticky, the overfill butter pans almost full and salt poured everywhere. Many surfaces looked like they hadnt been cleaned in days/weeks built up grime. Theater seating was disgusting as well, dark stains on almost every seat. This was a $50 visit for 1 adult and 1 child....its unacceptable. Won't return.
Sarah Springer: Came here for LOTR 20th anniversary showing. There were some technical difficulties and a small delay but the employees were very accommodating, apologetic and kept everyone in the theater updated on the movie time.
Charles Givens: The employees were amazing! If it wasn't for them, this review would have gotten a two-star.That said, the tiny small non-reclining seats were extremely uncomfortable and leftover from when they built the theater originally.Overall, the theater was not very clean. We did enjoy our 3d movie, and the employees were very helpful in accommodating.
Jess Jessmer: Friendly and quick staff even for being so overworked and under paid.
Pamela L. Johnson: Good place to for date night at the movies
Shelby S: Came in here for some popcorn, you can tell it’s very outdated, really needs some TLC. Some recliner seats would be great. I don’t go to this theater because of the no recliner seats XD. Also there needs to be a sign or something saying drinks and icees are separate. An employee came up to me and said my cup wasn’t an icee cup. Totally different than the emagine theater allowing cups to be for anything.
Noni Makun: Everything was great!
kylar smith: It was a nice theater The staff was friendly the popcorn was solid however the candy selection was pretty pricey otherwise had a very good time
Sandra Kerr: John Wick 4, needed to see it on the big screen. Comfortable atmosphere.
Front Desk: We love the theatre and atmosphere but not always the movies themselves!
Don Berry: Good servers
