Sweetheart bakery ripple cake is the BEST!! over Sanders Bumpy cake any day of the week. Both the forever Kelly rd. location, and the 'lucky for us' Mound rd. location are the best. and for you Catholics you can feel right at home with their religious holiday specialties.
Raymond: Having tasted paczkis from hamtramck and other suburbs of metro Detroit over the years, I have discovered that the best tasting paczkis are from the Sweetheart bakery either on Kelly or Mound wth raspberry and cream being my personal favorites. Sabahudin “Budo” Foric: The roasted lamb is the best I've had in a long while.
Matt Raad: I was raised with a Sicilian mother....and these cannolis are by far THE BEST I've ever had. Absolutely 100% authentic and delicious. My mother even loved them which, if you know Italian mothers, is a HUGE compliment. Great job!

The story hours vary and I think it’s due to them being short staffed. I would call ahead of time before going in the afternoon.

Debra Haden: My custom cake was altered from original design set forth at the consultation appointment. The top suitcase was supposed to have brass corners, like an antique case. That was a disappointment.There were three maps on the bottom tier. One was correct, another one was UPSIDE DOWN and the other one looked like the printer ran out of ink. Unfortunately, the upside down map was in the front part of the cake. I paid $265 and was terribly disappointed. The taste and texture of cake was good.

Whether its cream based or fondant based cakes, her work is amazing! She work aside with you to create a very unique customized cake, that tastes great too! We've done Pink Floyd, Daniel Tiger, Cars, Batman, and many other from her. This lady is a one star show! Her attitude is just as amazing. My friends love her too! She's always ready on time! I would definitely recommend her over many other bakeries in the area! She makes yummy crepes too! 3

It was shaped and looked just like the picture that I email to her, and she had it done not only on time but earlier for me to pick up. I highly recommend if you want a great tasting cake call her. Emily Ghersi: Came in today to order a custom cake. Previously she told us that we can come in and order it at the shop. Today she told us that we had to order it either online, Facebook, make an appointment or by email. Why would I need an appointment if I'm already there to order? Facebook? What if I don't have a Facebook account? How am I going to order through email if I don't even know what kind of cakes they have? Completely stupid idea of ordering, make it easy and let people order in person. Also wanted to buy some crepes, her pregnant daughter told us it will take 20 minutes to make 2 crepes!!!! ARE YOU SERIOUS??? Are you making the crepes under a candle?? I hope not. You can make 20 crepes under 10 minutes. Stupid!!!!! You should let people know to pre-order them first. Who has time to wait 20 minutes for 2 crepes??? The pasteries are good, the cakes I can't even say. We have been coming there and spent a lot of money, but now we are not coming anymore. You lost a loyal customer, and hopefully people will see the reviews and won't come to you either. The pregnant daughter is rude, seems like she is bothered when customers come in. If that's the case, stay home, don't bother working there. You're running a business, SMILE!!!

Erin Greenberg: Bottle Returns is at the back of the store and at a seperate entrance. As a result it is dirty and poorly serviced with only 2 out of 6 machines functioning. It feels very unsafe for it to be isolated and apart from staff and other customers. Will not be returning.
