Maddy Contesti: Wow! I thought I knew where the best chicken shawarma was in Detroit but I was wrong; it’s without a doubt Boff’s! I was suggested this place by a friend in Bay City that will specifically drive to come eat here. Not only we’re my mother and I offered a sample but the pricing, kindness and quality is outstanding. Don’t be fooled by the outside, it looks like a meat market but there is seating, a clean bathroom and it’s pretty open!

Todays Present: My new favorite Mediterranean restaurant! The guys working at the restaurant and the store had great customer service. They have the Northern Michigan seasonings and pasties that have been hard to find around here. The market has a nice selection of turkey chops, crab, lobster and even rabbit. The restaurant has funky selections of drinks. The tawook chicken was our favorite. The chicken cream chops and lamb chops are pretty good. The chicken and lamb shawarmas were so tender. I highly recommend this restaurant and market!

Felicia Nguyen: I love this place. A whole family can eat for under $40. They always give you fresh bread! The portions are generous and everything taste so fresh. I have started coming here every other week. Try their deboned chicken- chargrilled chicken with rice, salad, and bread. You will definitely have leftovers.

My pre req requirements are bread and toum need to be included with my meal. It comes off as cheap if the restaurant charges separately for toum/bread with the meal. Second, the bread needs to be freshly cooked, if it’s plain cold pita bread. That’s insanely cheap on the restaurants part.Non of that was the case, my hummus with chicken entree was cooked perfectly. The bread was nice and warm, the toum was perfect and was also included with the meal. I will definitely be back to oasis and will continue to support this restaurant.

Jazzmin Finney: They literally gave me all the same sandwiches and charge me different prices for each, didn’t want to replace my sandwiches unless I sent them photos from my phone. That wasn’t the issue, the real issue is I had to keep the sandwiches on hand until I came back that way to get my order replaced because I was not coming back the same day. Who wants to ride around in the car with garlic sandwiches? Then, she also stated there are signs all around the lobby that says Check your order before you leave because they’re not responsible. How the hell am I supposed to check 5 sandwiches from the inside? How am I going to explain to my family and friends I was digging in there sandwiches because Kabob House are robbers. They do this solely for money, they don’t care about their customers.

Crystal Jankiewicz: The food here was always good… when it’s right. Sadly, I wont be patronizing this restaurant any longer. The last three times I was here what I recieved was not what i’d ordered. Once they replaced my sandwich with a different one because they were out of something without checking with or informing me at all. I live in Detroit and coming back right away isn’t always an option. They are rude over the phone (I’ve been hung up on when I’d call to try to fix a mistake) and not at all helpful with refunds or fixing their own errors. My advice, if you order carry out, please make sure you check that everything is correct and there before you leave.

Suzy Renee: New owners now called Kabob Castle Express. The cook went from writing with his pen to the computer and then put his hands on my bread and then in the pickles with no gloves or hand washing. The desk girl went from the register and her cell phone to grab bread to cut up for my bread and garlic and never washed her hands or put gloves on. Didn't eat the sandwich and tossed it because I was so grossed out.

The lamb was good while he was eating it but he now is sick and this was the only thing besides a McDonald's coffee he ingested . I wish i could have left a better review and maybe it was just that batch but i will never eat here again.
E D: My heart is so heavy. I use to LOVE this place, the owner and the owner's son. It is now under a different name (Kabob Express) and the chicken sharwma was awful. Chicken is flavorless and dry. The garlic sauce tastes store bought. They are super small. just ugh! I miss Shish Express :-(

Tasty & big portions & priced MUCH BETTER than many other Middle Eastern places that give you less food. And the owner who was helping me with the menu is sweet as can be. Amanda Menard: This is the best we've ever had! The lemon mint drink was the perfect refreshment, the bread was piping hot, the food was all soooo good! The owner is such a kind man with a passion for making great food- so much so that some ingredients are imported and it shows in the richness of the flavors. My wife and I whom we both are in our 50s she had weight loss surgery and explained this to the waiter/owner only two people in the building!?? We told hime we were going to split a dish because she can only eat a few bites of anything...no problem there...till the end when he says out of the blue...next time we will charge you more because we had to do more work to split the food up...more dishes...etc!!!! I couldn't understand what he was saying then my wife explained it to me and I was pretty darn upset! Being a MARINE vet....I kept my cool and said to her...don't worry....a review is more POWERFULL then getting angry in here! We left zero tip....she wrote on the bill ...don't WORRY WE WILL NEVER BE BACK ANNND I HOPE THIS HALTS A LOT OF THE BUSINESS THAT DONT ALREADY SEEM TO GET EVEN MORE!Dietary restrictions: Weight loss surgery non friendly
Danielle D: The waiter/owner was so rude. We came there for lunch, it was the first time going there. I had surgery and am unable to eat much, we split a meal and the owner said the next time we come in they'll charge us extra, I said I didn't get anything extra not even a water, he said it's more work. He also touched our bread with his hands when I asked for plate. He took the bread and put it on the salad plate and said use this little plate. So rude. I will never be back.

It came with homemade hummus and rice, topped with gyro meat and yummy taziki sauce. If I am in that area, I would definitely eat there again. Caitlin King: Stopped in for lunch during my shift. It was quiet which was peaceful. The food was amazing!!! I got a House salad with chicken shawarma. I only paid like $12 for that and a pop. The waitress and the owner were both so kind and even chatted with me for a bit. Don't sleep on this place! The prices are too good 3

Super delicious and isn’t outrageously priced. Everything is freshly made to order and trust me you can taste the love and dedication in every bite.The restaurant itself is super clean! I mean I could have sat on the floor to eat and not had a problem with it. I didn’t have to though because there were very comfortable booths. It is also decorated very well.This was well worth the drive from Waterford and we will definitely be back anytime I’m craving Mediterranean food. Plus the desserts are homemade and super flavorful too.
Anas Ramadan: The best arabuc food in the area. Quiet clean place, not fancy, but the food is really tasteful and flavorful. It is 10 times better than other well known restaurants in the area without stating names. No cheaping on ingredients or cutting corners.I am not a big fan eating out unless I have to, but this place I would trust to frequent and bring family and friends. Very friendly and helpful staff.
Wagiha Amine: literally the nicest people ever who always talk with you a little bit, and you can tell they really care about the food theyre serving you. they recently added a little pastry counter with baklava, which was so delicious, along with all their other yummy food!!
Jennifer “Jenn Marie” McDonald: We finally tried yummy after passing it on my way home from work for a while now. It did not disappoint very good. Their lentil soup was one of the best I’ve had. We will definitely be back I found my new shawarma place & it’s close to home.
