Daniel Yurko: I signed up for a month of access to this gym through groupon. I've called more than 8 times and went to the location but they're never open and they don't return my calls. Maybe they went out of business.
Sucila Fernandes: It's a place for healing both physically and mentally. It seems we're all having troubles these days keeping our sanity but Star has created a community where everyone can feel comfortable and most definitely supported. He lifts us up and we help each other out. But what I enjoy the most and because I'm in mourning, his demeanor, jokes, choice of music but most of all his smile makes the tears go away. I'm very grateful to be a part of All out Fitness.

Martha Miller: I would recommend this gym and it's trainers to anyone and everyone I know! The instructors are great and can specialize and individualize based upon your personal requests, needs and fitness goals. I was tired of going to gyms like Planet Fitness and all those other commercialized Jim's where I was just another number and monthly payment. I would just jumpon some cardio machine and then lifted a few free weights with no idea what I was doing or how to do it.I grew up as an athlete, but once my training came to an end after college I was lost in one of those commercialize Gyms. All Out Fitness has got me in the best shape of my life and I am 100% grateful :)
Swan Lin: Great classes and fantastic instructors! I regularly attended the Group Fitness, Boot Camp, and Step with Star classes and always left feeling re-energized and satisfyingly sore. Star's workouts are tough and he definitely knows how to push you to your limits, but he's always encouraging. He'll ask for your input and tailor some of the exercises to you. Love the vibe of the classes and how friendly and welcoming everyone is.

Claire Miller: Pure Barre in downtown Ann Arbor is fantastic! Everyone is very friendly, and of course the workout is a burner. Anyone can jump on in, beginners may take a little while to get used to the flow of class, but within 4-5 sessions you’ll be ready to really get into the exercises. They also do good deals, so definitely ask about what packages are being run at any given time.

I love that they prepare dry shampoo and deodorant in the bathroom, but the water bottle filter went unchanged for a very long time.Original:5 star exercises. In addition to the exercise method, the instructors in this studio are positive, give detailed instructions and corrections but aren't intrusive. I really like it.
Holly DeBruin: More than any other fitness class I've taken before, I see the results from Pure Barre. It's a great full-body workout. However, some times the instructors move a little too fast or are difficult to understand, so I miss out on some of the exercises. In addition, I lucked out and bought classes under the Summer Sculpt packages. Without these packages, the classes are way too expensive! I'm hoping more reasonably priced packages will be offered in the future so I can continue to do Pure Barre.
Mary Kate Turner: I've felt so much stronger and more centered and balanced since I started working out at Pure Barre. All the staff are very welcoming and helpful with answering questions and providing tips and feedback on my form and how to improve, since I'm new to barre classes (and group exercise in general). It feels like a judgement free zone here for sure. After about 6 classes or so, I really feel like I'm starting to make progress and certain moves are getting easier - although none of it is truly "easy!"

They quickly learn your name and adjust your position during class to help you get the most out of each exercise. The studio always has great promotions going on which make taking barre classes as a student totally affordable. My favorite 50 minutes of the day!

The instructors are all really awesome and helpful, coming over to you to adjust your positioning so that you are getting the best workout you can get! As a 3 mo post partum mom, I was worried that I would feel behind and intimidated in the class, but the instructors are incredibly friendly and supportive and have helped me make modifications so that I am able to do the class at my own pace. They always encourage mental strength in addition to physical strength and I have found that it's not only amazing for my body but my mind as well.

Laura Williams: Could not recommend this place more. I came here for 3 months and did the unlimited package (only haven’t renewed because I’ve been travelling). I came here because I had a year old foot/ankle injury that wasn't healing very well and it looked like these classes would work really well with all that the physios have told me to do. Only 4/5 weeks into doing a variety of the classes at barre I noticed a real difference in my foot and ankle’s strength and flexibility. I went from doing 2/3 classes a week a little gingerly on my foot to going 6 times a week and being able to hold most of the poses comfortably and without any issues. This also meant I could walk for miles everyday without consequence (something I had struggled with for the past year). The instructors are great and they always give you a less intense exercise option which for me really helped. I never felt a pressure to go beyond what my foot was capable of but always felt encouraged to push myself in many other ways. Looking forward to being back there in a week or so.

Leah Marcus: Birthday party so great we did it twice!We booked Peachy Fitness for a themed yoga birthday party (our theme was Outer Space) for my son's 5th birthday, and it was just about the most charming thing we've ever experienced. Then, when my son was about to turn 6, he requested the exact same birthday party because he loved his last one so much! It was very easily done-- Zaini at PF remembered us and was so accommodating in making sure we could have the party we wanted, even though his age group was sort of between the preschool and grade school options. The teacher we had for the mini yoga class was absolutely phenomenal in terms of enthusiasm level and improvisation, to keep 15+ wild kids engaged in themed yoga poses for so long!The crafts (we chose rock painting both years) were all set up for us, and the kids loved them. Pretty much the only thing we needed to do as a family was provide some snacks/treats. The party room was decorated (plus fun lighting), all we did was bring in a few balloons for the food table. The staff was really friendly and kind, and I cannot recommend them highly enough! The other parents who attended (some just to hang out, some to participate in the yoga with their kids, and some to chill in the wifi-equipped parent lounge) remarked that it was such a fun and creative party concept!

Spacious room, good natural lights, perfect dancing barres and mirrors, these elements meet what I can expect for a dance studio. The owner couple are very accommadating and friendly. Debbie Tauiliili: The Pure Barre Ann Arbor studio has a classy, clean and welcoming environment. The owners Vicky and Anna and all the instructors make you feel welcome. I was initially intimidated about joining having preconceptions that it might be a bit stuffy, out of my league and not sure if I would break out in a sweat. I had completed some Beach Body workout programs and loved to lift weights, jump and sweat, but due to a foot injury couldn’t quite reach that cardio burn that I loved. WAS I EVER WRONG about the intensity of Pure Barre. It took me almost a month to make it through the warm-up and 6 months later after my first Barre class I can honestly say there hasn’t been a class that has not been challenging. I love this studio as there is a diverse group of women and men in the classes at different fitness levels. The music is upbeat, where I sometimes feel tempted to do a little dance on the floor. The instructors take the time to know you and challenge you during class. There are constant incentives and fitness challenges provided by Vicky and Anna. Since joining, my gluteus maximus and thighs have more tone and lift and overall I feel stronger yet more flexible. Best decision I made was to join Pure Barre Ann Arbor. My husband and teenage daughter, not likely to say much positive about mom, have not stopped commenting on how fit I look.
Katie Lieder: My first Barre class was at a different local studio. To keep it quick: I felt unwelcomed and confused. It was a challenging class and I left feeling extremely intimidated. I decided to try a different studio and chose Pure Barre. The entire experience has been amazing. When I first walked in, they already knew who I was and even had a little sign welcoming me to the studio! The owner gave me a quick tour of the facility so I knew exactly where to place my things and where the equipment was located. The instructor also introduced herself and told me a bit about the class. She gave me tips and a glimpse of what to expect. I felt like I had a good handling of what to expect this time instead of being completely taken off guard.Fast forward to my 5th class and the experience is still top-notch. They run a professional and clean studio where the classes are FUN (yet challenging). All of the instructors have been extremely helpful and friendly. The ladies in the class range in age and I never feel intimidated. You can easily modify, yet they push you to give it your all. These classes continue to kick my butt (I haven't worked out in 3+ years), however, I leave feeling stronger and accomplished each time! I will continue to attend classes 3x a week and can't wait to see (and feel) even more results!

Jennifer Dear: The staff and community at this studio is phenomenal. Whether it's your first class or one thousandth class, everyone is consistently friendly, encouraging, and knowledgeable. You'll never stop learning how to "lift those heels" a little higher and "sink down lower" than your last class. I started here after the birth of my second and got into the best shape of my life. Now I am pregnant with my third, and trying my darndest to "tuck" and "bend stretch" my way through this pregnancy! If you have never tried barre, and think you maybe want to try--go for it!

Naomi R: Today I tried out Pure Barre for the first time. When I walked in, I noticed that they had written a welcome sign for me as it was my first class. How thoughtful! The instructor Alyssa was so sweet and gave me a tour of the studio when I first got there. She took the time to explain the moves before the class started and went over some words like "tuck" and such so that I wouldn't be lost. It was hard to keep up at times since the class moves fast from one move to the next. I do not consider myself to be "fit". I'm more of a casual gym goer so this class definitely kicked my butt. It was great that Alyssa walked around after demonstrating the move and helped individuals with form. I loved that she would encourage those that were doing well. I even got some moves right and just having that encouragement was awesome! I'm looking forward to meeting more instructors but I will definitely be going back to Alyssa's class! I will be sore but very excited to go back for my second class! I also met two really nice members that absolutely love going to this studio and gave me helpful tips to help with my future soreness. Overall, I left feeling more accomplished and energized for my day.

After seeing SHiNE advertised on YouTube, I knew I needed to give it a try, and SDFA2 did not disappoint! Michelle is so kind and welcoming, and she brings good energy to the dance floor. She always shows modifications in case we need them, and the lights are dimmed when class starts, which really helps everybody just focus on themselves, let loose, and have fun. The other customers are also very nice and encouraging; I felt like I was just in class with friends from the moment I arrived. Everyone there just has the same good energy that's always lacking in the gym and other studios, which makes all the difference for so many of us. If you're thinking about coming to class, here's your sign!

R. Douglas Armstrong: Ann Arbor Fit Body Boot camp should be at the top of your list if considering a fitness class approach. The whole concept of this national chain of centers is to turn fat into muscle and give the total body conditioning, tone and strength. The classes are only 30 minutes, but are 30 very busy minutes. Every class has similar concept but are different. Its interesting, rewarding and is done at your own pace. The Jackson road facility is spotless clean, welcoming and well equipped. It is managed by real professionals who insure that you do the exercises with proper form with your own level of capability always considered. You will be impressed!
Madison Rosneck: Jan and Jerry (owners) are FANTASTIC!!!! Look no further. Each workout is completely different, only 30 minutes but it’s the best, most intense workout out there. You can modify if need be and they are very supportive of that. They even do a free nutrition consult with you! Members are AWESOME, too. emily woodcock: I started coming to Fit Body Boot Camp because of an amazing Groupon deal, and loved the workouts! I'm in pretty decent shape, but wanted to build muscle and tone, and it was a great fit for these goals. The workouts are just a half hour, but you burn a ton of calories and work really hard. In the end, I decided not to buy a membership after my Groupon expired, but only because I live in Ypsi, and Scio Twp just isn't convenient for me, especially for the price and frequency that I'd be able to go. But I wanted to stop by and write a good review, because Jan and Jerry are awesome, and if you're on the west side of A2, or in Scio or Dexter, you should definitely join! They do a great job adjusting to all fitness levels, and they send out great workouts, recipes, and advice via email through the week. Bonus, they've been eating plant-based since the early 80s, so all the recipes are vegan! I've made a couple them, and they were delicious. So, go check out this place. I miss it!
Erin Case: A2 Fit Body Boot Camp is all-around Fantastic! I have been going to boot camp for over 2 years and have had a very positive experience. From day 1 I felt welcomed, supported, and encouraged to pursue my fitness goals. Jan is a wonderful instructor. She is an encouraging motivator and always comes up with challenging routines. The workouts are intense, effective, and fun! Jan, Jerry, and all the fellow bootcampers create a positive and friendly environment that makes working out the best part of my day. Jan also provides great nutrition advice and lots of yummy recipes! I recommend boot camp to anyone no matter what your fitness level.

Marlena Studer: I have never found a better place to get a workout while dancing to great music and enjoying the company of awesome people!
Paulette Metoyer: I went to Jazzercise in winter. But when Spring came it began to rain and heated up. The management failed to turn on the AC to reduce the humidity. They had a tiny dehumidifier in front of the auditorium which was insufficient to dehumidify such a large space. When the air became humid the floor became sticky and during a routine dance my shoe essentially stuck to the floor causing me to fall. While not apparent until 2 days later, I was seriously injured and will need physical therapy for the next 3 months and possibly other medical treatment depending on the response to PT.After the fall I was approached and told by numerous participants that "everyone here has fallen" as a result of the floor getting sticky in humid weather. I was told that the stickyness is worse in the front of the room. Three people separately told me that they had each personally spoken to management about the problem after they had fallen and asked to turn on the AC but management has thus far refused to do so. I am bothered by the fact that the floor is a safety issue that has been previously brought to their attention and not addressed, particularly when doing so is so simple as turning on the AC when the weather becomes humid.When I fell there was no report taken of the incident. I suspect that they routinely do not keep track of falls so they have no record of how many people have fallen and what, if any, injuries have been sustained. When signing into Jazzercise you are asked to sign a waiver regarding personal injury. However this waiver does not protect them from litigation if they are negligent. And failing to turn on the AC after numerous reports of falls due to an identified problem is negligence. It is comparable to McDonalds' failure to lower the 170 degree temperature of their coffee (scalding/burning temperatures) to a level of 120 degrees (tolerable) after being informed of numerous burns by their customers.The classes are good and they are fun but there appears to be more regard for the electricity bill than personal safety of the participants.
