Andy B: It's a private club that has been newly renovated inside. If you belong it has good food and very cheap drinks.They have live music regularly that anyone can go see, regardless of whether you're a member or not. You do need to buy a guest pass in order to buy alcohol, but it's only $5 for the year, so the barrier isn't very high.They have turned the kitchen over to an outside vendor, Cosa Sabrosa, which I believe is Mexican food and gets good reviews. When the kitchen is open they are apparently very good. When the kitchen is closed they permit you to bring in food from outside.The building is vintage '50s and it has a very do-it-yourself vibe on the inside. I'm pretty sure the chairs in the bar came from a private airport terminal. The bathrooms remind me of what your grandparents would have built in their cabin up north. It's a no-frills kind of place, but lacks nothing. It's operated by it's members and the atmosphere is very welcoming and down to earth. Like other Grottos, it's owned by the local Freemasons.

Cary Kocher: Great jazz room, but FOOD is complicated at Zal Gaz Grotto. Their kitchen is leased to a chef who preps the Casa Sabrosa food truck and serves carryout on seemingly random nights, so you have to call the Zal if you desire his fine Mex street food. The Zal has a last-Wednesday spagetti dinner every month, worth the ten bucks. But on other nights, you either carry in, order in, or go with chips. So call ahead if you are working dinner into the evening.

Tammy Talvitie: The Paul Keller Orchestra invited my kid's Middle School Jazz Band to watch and play with them. It was an incredible experience! The musicians were so generous, and the kids learned so much. My son and I are definitely going back to see PKO on Monday nights!

Sam Gurwin: I attended a Extrusions Concert (awesome band) here- it was a great Club. There is a Bar area and an attached Concert area. Food is ordered via a private restaurant nearby and they deliver fast. Plenty of tables to eat and talk with friends- also a dance floor at the front of the Concert area. Nice Staff and Patrons!

Michael Burns: Fun venue with live music on the weekend and a wide Mexican food menu available from Cosa Sabrosa. Affordable drinks but you will have to become a social member - $5 for a year

Avery: I have been to other locations all over the state and to hear people say this club is dirty is crazy! This location is by far the nicest club I've been to, the staff there is so hardworking and they don’t get enough credit for their work. Belle is a great addition as well, seems like she's really done a lot to improve the place. If you're looking for a good gym, this is definitely one you should look into.

Jeff Flynn: I appreciate my LA Fitness. It has maintained cleanliness which makes my workout time all the better. I am a swimmer and this pool is exceptional, The Yoga and Pilate classes have served me well. The best part of this LA Fitness is the camaraderie of fellow clients, I appreciate Joe, our personal trainer, for his smile and encouragement. You can't go wrong with this facility.

They clearly don't pay their employees enough, but have no problem charging premium prices for sub par services.Update: 3/28/24-Still no direct update from staff on status.Went to gym today and all 5 main soap dispensers were completely empty. when notifying front desk staff, they just shrugged it off. Turn over rate on cleaning staff has seeemed to be very high. sad they ask for high fees but pay their staff poorly.Update: 3/21/24-Made several points of contact about this to front desk, “messages” through the app and even one to corporate. Not one response.Will update once corrected!3/7/2023- MENS SAUNA IS BROKEN, CANT SEEM TO REPAIR!I have been a member since opening day. At the time it was a wonderful place.However, post covid, it has seem to really gone down hill.from general cleanliness, machine maintenance upkeep to broken amenities.The Sauna has been limping along for well over a year.approximately half of the heating elements are out.(cool to the touch)Infrared sauna is stated to be around 145 degrees, despite warning sign saying 185.Thermometer barely breaks 110 & is below 100 when people are in and out.Only the upper seating elements work. and only one unit is above 500degrees.There have been several "work orders" completed on it to which they say resolved, but this clearly is not accurate.I cannot get a clear answer as to any new work orders or willingness to repair it other than "it is very expensive."I suppose the rates are too cheap to justify repairs.

Chris Golen: Clean with polite workers, let me try it. I was thinking about adding (Signature). But to be honest they cost more and always have less amenities. This place was nice, and pretty quiet during the day.

David Luckas: I've been a member at LA fitness for 5+ years. I was unaware that they were charging me "LATE FEES" for no reason without telling me! Beth or Bell whatever she calls her self the "operations manager" was extremely rude and condescending to me over the phone.Make sure your LA fitness monthly charges line up with your membership cost every month because she will not give you your money back and they will not tell you about "LATE FEES". In fact she told me that I'm lucky that it's not more.It's nice to see another Ann Arbor business supporting Fee-FlaitionWhat a scam

B: Ann Arbor was decent until things started falling. Machines/cushion pad’s broken and not fixed for weeks. Equipments down for maintenance for months. Club is randomly closed in the morning hours, unannounced because responsible team wont show up to open the club.This used to be a decent workout place, now its a downfall!

Peter Kober: The staff frequently doesn't show when it opens in the morning making it impossible to get a workout in before work. Go someplace else.
