They asked me to come in for an appointment on a Saturday, earlier than I'd offered to, I accepted. They confirmed 2 hours ahead, but when I arrived early, and waited until well after the scheduled time, the door was locked, no one was around and my texts and calls were not immediately answered. The OPEN light was on but no one was there.I was later asked by text later how my experience was! Well they implied I had the wrong address or arrived at the wrong time. I work nearby and they had confirmed! It was ridiculous and a waste of my time. They never tried to apologize in any way

adriana garrett: i purchased a car here in january and by the end of february i had to put in over 1500$ of work into it. never came with a spare tire or the part to take the tires off. whippits in the backseat, all the previous owners stuff in the glove compartment. clearly was not cleaned or looked over. had no oil in it AT ALL. im very disappointed and was going to trade my other car in here but will NOT be back.

Salesman Dave Byron told us he could get us in a new lease for $200 MORE than what we were already paying per month, once we finally put our foot down on not completing the current lease. He also replied to my husbands email with the intro “Listen man”. Furthermore, I did not receive a reply from the manager of the dealership regarding all of the above issues.

alan francis: I have tried buying three different cars from this dealership the first car I came in for a test drive Everything went perfect I was ready to buy but then was informed by the salesperson the title has been misplaced and that if I left a good down payment the title will most likely be in soon. A week later the dealership called and told me they had a second car that they want me to come test drive we set up an appointment. The next day the dealership calls me back to let me know the transmission is shot in the car.. a month goes by I am searching on AutoTrader and find another car I like.... Can you guess the dealership? I set up an appointment to come test drive the vehicle Friday May 19th just to get a call earlier this morning stating the vehicle is lost. I do not recommend this dealership to anybody never thought trying to spend 20K would be so hard.

Katie VanWashenova: To be fair I'd give them a zero if I could. No calls are ever returned meaning no information relayed while they have your vehicle. The service department is a joke and doesn't take accountability and recently trying to get a hold of the finance department nobody can return a call either. I'm extremely glad to be ridding myself of the vehicle purchased through this dealership.

Michael Schmid: I saw a truck on this website that I was very interested in, especially being a 6 speed manual, so I called the dealer and spoke to Scott, after debating on driving 9 hours to see a truck that "the 4wd does not work, and I would have to put the emissions back into", I bit the bullet and upon arrival to the dealership I began to check the truck out and noticed the driveshaft had been ripped out, and there was a quarter size hole in the bell housing of the transmission. They proceeded to hand me the keys and push me to take the truck for a test drive. on a bad gut feeling I decided to open up the hood before even starting the truck. Thank god I did because there was NO OIL CAP after stating I don't want to look at it any further I was asked "why not" after insisting on there offer of just putting an oil cap on the truck I was furious. while leaving the lot for a 9 hour drive back home, I received a call from Scott asking why I don't want this "great truck" after explaining myself why I didn't want the truck he insisted on putting an oil cap on the truck because its "not a big deal" an oil cap might not seem like a lot to him, but as a dealer they should at least know the repercussions of what this could cause... blown motor. I don't even know how these people are still in business.
cl no fear: Sold me what my mechanic described as a life threateningly dangerous vehicle. They don't inspect anything at all. They just buy junk cars and sell them as fast as they can. The part to fix it was 65 dollars. Is my life worth only 65 dollars?Horrific. Do not trust them. It's Russian roulette.Update: They called to try and pay for the repairs. I don't want their money. Also called to clarify that the vehicles are sold as is and they don't do any sort of inspection. I wouldn't even test drive a vehicle here if I were you guys. It's potentially dangerous. Or Make sure you have a mechanic with a mobile lift on hand to fully inspect the car before you test drive or buy. Guess it isn't completely fair of me to leave one star. It is my fault for not realizing they have written down dangerous policies that I signed up for.Hopefully they change their business practices. It's theirs to run, but I don't think they'll have repeat business from me. Even in buying a brand new car when I'm in the market for one.
Julie Eckert: Mark Young was my sales person and he was absolutely amazing. I originally had a 7am apt for an oil change on my blazer. When it was done i went to the sales dept and spoke with Aaron the sales manager went over a few things with him and he handed me off to Mark. My lease wasn't up till Sept so I wasn't really actively looking to trade in yets so leaving with a new vehicle didn't matter either way. I felt so bad for Mark bc he had spent all day dealing with my back and forth on payments. I felt bad because at the end I just couldn't justify at the time the downplay and monthly. But they really wanted me to be happy and worked with me. And at the end of the day I felt good bout my new lease. I know it's the job but at no point did I ever feel that was the case.

There was a nice gentleman who continued to apologize for the long wait as he was the only one in the service department. Once my car was serviced it didn't take long. Curtis Damon: I dropped off vehicle at 8:45 am, it took another 30+ minutes for the advisor to enter my information into the system. Not a problem, but a delay when I needed a shuttle home. I was told the oil change/tire rotation wouldn't take long...but I waited all day. I called 5 times, and each time my call was dropped and/or never received a call back. Finally, had an Admin walk over to the advisor with my name, number to persist on a call back. An hour later I get a call that my vehicle is almost completed and shuttle is on its way. Was told the delay was due to nobody knowing that my vehicle was awaiting service, if I hadn't called it never would have been completed. Upon pick-up I waited another 30 min as the advisor tried to charge me for the service, but I explained in the morning that I have a pre-purchased service plan and all oil changes are covered. Had to wait while they checked with another advisor and had to reenter all my info before finally getting my keys to go home.

Because of the security on the keys (thankfully) and me not being local, it took a week to get it done securely and I was kept informed daily of progress. Ashlee Dunham: I have been looking for a new car for a few weeks, found a great 2016 Buick Encore on Carfax from Next Mile Ann Arbor. Austin was amazing to work with and make sure that everything was taken care of within a few hours. The only slight issue is that the car had a sizable key scratch that was not pictured, and was told it would be painted over, if i came back in a few days. Drove back ( an hour drive) a few days later and the sales guy ( different from the day i bought the car) seemed unaware of what was happening. I was also told that my plate could be picked up that day as well, which was not the case. Could use better in house communication. Overall a great experience, very helpful and friendly.

If we had questions he was close by, to answer them. We also talked to the manager who was very knowledgeable of Lexus automobiles. We did purchase a car and would highly recommend Spenser and Lexus of Ann Arbor to our friends and family.
Hemangini Shah: Thanks for cleaning vacuuming front row floor and car wash from outside. It would be great to see in the future to include backseat floor vacuum…I was told the car would be ready in 1 hr.10 mins but I was waiting in the waiting room for over 2 hr finally I had to go find service manager to check the status on my vehicle and learned that it was ready to be picked up. I believe you can use app for vehicle status posting so people waiting are aware of up to date info . I believe these are few opportunities for improvement.

Amanda, customer service representative was very helpful, upfront greeted and asked if there are any issues, and once described, she documented and took corrective action during the service. The service was very quick in reasonable wait time. There are some snacks and hot drinks machine, had hot chocolate. It was a good a experience!

I worked with Aimee Kurutz who made the buying experience easy and enjoyable, she reviewed potential savings over the phone so I knew before I visited the dealership what to expect out the door in terms of cost. She rode along for a test drive with me because I wasn't familiar with the area, was friendly and upbeat during our conversation and when we got back to her desk she was able to draw up the paperwork. Aimee didn't add in additional fees or markups, found a great price for me for this car, had it clean and ready to go when I arrived. I would recommend her to anyone interested in buying a car here!

I knew something was up with my car as it was acting funny about 200 miles outside of Ann Arbor. Technicians were able to get it back to me with several large fixes in a timely manner. Shout out to Garrett and Doug - thank you!!
Dutch Cowan: Asked to have a repair done on my car, no reply’s to my calls for 3 days, the third day I called at 9:30, didn’t receive a callback until 8:30 in the evening, didn’t leave a message with information on the status of my car. Forth day I explain my frustrations to operator, she tells me marlon will definitely call me back right away, 6 hours later I get a call telling me that the estimate is now 4 times the original estimate and can’t be started on for at least a week and a half. This is obviously a brush off to avoid doing the repairs, then I’m charged $100 dollars for the privilege of having them do nothing to my car. I bought several cars from Dunning Toyota but I’ll do any more business with these pompous halfwits. AVOID AT ALL COSTS. Google won’t let me leave zero stars.
Kristi Clark Fletcher: The team and the dealership is amazing.Hadi, Tony, and David were awesome. I felt like family. From test driving the 4 Runners they had available, to the contract and financing was all a smooth transaction. I had my five year old son with me and they treated him like a prince. They had popsicles for him and Hadi my Sales Rep even went to the store to get him an Apple Juice and chips. The whole vibe of the dealership is upbeat. I highly recommend heading into Ann Arbor Toyota for all your Toyota purchases and services.

Rebecca Hull: Travelled over 2 hours to go to this dealer for a specific truck. Truck wasn’t ready to be off the lot, which is completely understandable, so they had someone deliver it the next day. We were supposed to have two keys, they only dropped it off with one. We call and they say they will mail it to us when they mail the plate which they said took about two weeks. A full month later we are calling asking where the plate is because our temporary plate was now expired. “Oh we’ve had it for over a week now, when were you guys planning on picking it up?” I reminded them that it was supposed to be sent and it took them three days to find my plate and ship it out. Plate finally gets here, no key. Absolutely baffles me. All customer service flew out the window once they got their sale.

Hannah Ruble: DO NOT buy tires or get tires mounted here. I purchased new tires from them and had them installed yesterday. During a road trip today, my tire pressure halved due to an installation error that caused a sidewall bubble. (Tire bead was torn during install). My tire almost blew on the highway. I was also recommended a list of unnecessary services that are only required at 100,000 miles/10 years.UPDATE: Got ANOTHER side wall bubble on one of the other tires today thanks to incompetent installation. The installer never seated the bead properly.Another update: Turns out 3/4 of the tire beads weren't seated properly. Could've blown a tire on three separate occasions . I need 3 tires replaced due to the mechanic's mistake.Toyota of Ann Arbor won't call me back to fix the issue they caused.
Nina Felicie: Initial car purchase experience was nice. Very nice people to work with. Had a question within the week of my purchase on the financing aspect of our vehicle. Multiple emails and voice messages unreturned. Once they get your money, good luck on communication after that. Still waiting. That’s enough for me not to return, except maybe the vehicle at this point.

He was respectful, transparent, honest, funny and most of all, we knew he genuinely had our best interest in mind. Honestly, it was like we were/are part of his family - it never felt like we were working with a salesperson. Even now, weeks after the sale, Michael is still supporting us directly with quotes, service, etc. Toyota of Ann Arbor and Michael are our new hometown dealers/salesperson. Happily found my RAV4 within three weeks at another dealership that was not marking up and was able to get me the vehicle I actually wanted instead of trying to upsell me.

Drove 2 hours and was low balled for $2000 less than what I thought was an agreed upon price. I never would have wasted my time had I known they lacked that much integrity.To the response from Suburban: I was dealing with a manager while I was there, if they could have fixed it and made my experience a positive one, then they should have done it while I was physically there. I don't see how talking with them again will change anything. Maybe it looks good on google that you responded but I don't see my outcome changing.

They did not care that we could have had a major accident in this car. THIS DEALERSHIP SHOULD NOT BE SELLING CARS. The location manager got defensive and hung up on us when we brought things to his attention. The sales manager Tony and the salesman Sean have done nothing to resolve this issue which is illegal for a dealership to sell a car.deemed "unsafe to drive." They obviously don't care about the customer's well being or in this situation, life.
Amy: The sticker description of included features was ambiguous. When I did not receive what I thought was included, I called and asked to speak with management. No one returned my call. When I finally received a call, the manager yelled at me and wouldn’t let me speak. I asked to speak with a different salesperson who was more knowledgeable about wranglers, he was very kind and explained the situation, however, in my all of my Jeep purchases, I have never been treated so poorly.Had the management been knowledgeable and been able to explain the situation without berating me, or having to google the answer, I would have been less upset. But this wasn’t my first Jeep wrangler, and his “mansplaining” was unwarranted and inaccurate.I spoke with the General Manager who assured me that he would call me back the same night, or the next day. 1 week later, I hadn’t received a call from anyone, so I reached out to my salesperson. The general manager then called me back and said he had “meetings” and that’s why he didn’t call me.I will never purchase another vehicle from this dealership. I’m tempted to switch to a ford bronco.Edit to add: I spoke with the General Manager, who was dismissive and said he’d never had problems with that manager (who was new) before. And then told me,”I won’t be held hostage to a survey” when I expressed my opinions.I can’t reply to the response given by the dealership, but I assure you, I spoke with the General Manager, and he was not helpful. I am currently reaching out to Stellantis for resolution.

darrel james: Bought a cruze from here didn't know it had an after market engine in it.... the inspection people should have pointed that out but didn't. All four tires had plugs in them and had to be replaced.Seemed to be a hassle to get the spare out of him.All kinds of cooling issues... had to replace fan, thermostat,sensors etc...and now a blown gasket and I only ever put full synthetic oil changes in it.Car didn't last a year after putting well over four grand in it.... had two engine oil leaks that had to be fixed as soon as I got it etc...nothing but a 7000 dollar problem.

Larry Deford: I have been a customer of LaFontaine for two years, referred there by a GM rep. I own a 2021 GMC Canyon. I brought it in a few months ago with a faulty hood closure and when I brought it in for an oil change, they still had difficulty opening the hood.Each time I come in for an oil change, I'm there almost two hours with an appointment. Monday I had the oil changed and tires rotated...one hour and fifty minutes. I've never had to wait at other dealers or shops this long for an oil change when I've had an appointment.

They honored a deal agreed upon by phone earlier and made the experience a pleasure, which was a stark difference to South Gate Honda where price hikes near the end bordered on fraud. If you are looking for a Honda in or around the Detroit area I would strongly encourage you to check out Germain Honda in Ann Arbor, worth the trip for a better deal and no nasty last-minute price swaps.

This young man was so patient, kind and explained everything to me as if I were the only customer calling the dealership. As an older woman having to deal with contractors, mechanics etc. is was so nice to be talking to someone who wasn't belittling and rude. Definitely will be considering serving with this dealer based on this employee. Thanks Kyle! Your'e awesome!

Dr. C: I used the express service center to change out a battery. Drove the car home four hours after the service and the next morning the new battery had zero charge. One of the battery cables hadn't been sufficiently tightened. Took the car to my mechanic for a diagnostic test. Only problem was the battery had not been properly installed.*I appreciate the follow-up and had a good conversation with Doug.
Keith C: Update: 3/6/23: Another 5 star review. We brought the Honda Fit in for service today because the car required a jump start. Chris O'Lear on the service team brought the car in for service before the scheduled appointment so my wife would not have to wait. They did a thorough evaluation of the battery and determined that it needed replacement (fortunately it was under warranty). After my wife checked out, he texted me to let me know the rest of the electrical system was fine and that the battery replacement resolved the issue. His professionalism and excellent customer service was most appreciated.This was the best car purchase experience I have had in nearly 40 years of buying cars. Since Germain's sales team is not commission based, they are able to truly put the customer's best interest at heart. First, Mario T. (sales) and Chris S. (sales manager) provide outstanding customer service. Mario spent a total of 2.5 hours with us during our two visits--showing us every feature of the car and answering all of our questions. The sales team does what they say they are going to do and do not pressure their customers. Before the purchase, Mario responded to my email from home on his day off because he didn't want me to have to wait for a response. When we arrived to pick up our car today (2020 Fit EX) it went seamlessly. The finance director offered us an extended warranty with no pressure, and was respectful when we declined that option. 2) This is one of the few Honda dealers that gives a lifetime powertrain warranty on their vehicles at no extra charge. There is no gimmick to this--you just have to complete your service interval services timely. Third, I contacted the managers at several dealers, and Germain offered me the best available price the first time. Finally, Germain seeks long term customer relationships. For example, Mario gave me the names and direct numbers to a couple of the service department staff so that I will know who to call when it is time for scheduled maintenance or repairs. After the sale, Mario thanked my wife and I for our business, encouraged him to call with any questions, and indicated his hope--as did Chris the sales manger--that we would have a long term business relationship. I don't often give five star reviews, but this one is well deserved.
Chris Brittingham: Nothing but an awesome experience here. I worked with Mitch Hardcastle and he made the process so incredibly easy and simple. He is available when you have a question, super knowledgeable in the industry, and most importantly, honest. I'm sure everyone is great here, but if you show up and ask for Mitch, you will not regret it! He has our business as long as he is in the industry.Update: Bought our second vehicle from Germain and worked with Shakeal. He was incredible throughout the whole process. Very informative, knowledgeable and super easy to work with. Would highly recommend working with him if you are looking for a vehicle from Germain!
Autumn Koss Yontz: My 80 year old mom stopped in the service department today because her CRV was making a concerning sound. She was on her way from dropping me off in Ann Arbor and heading back to her home in Dearborn. She did not have an appointment and it was less than a half hour before closing time. The first service advisor she met when she pulled in immediately offered to go for a ride with her to hear the concerning sound. He knew that it was her axle and confirmed this with another service person that was more of an expert in this type of diagnosis. She did not get the name of either one of these outstanding young men. But I am eternally grateful. They assured her is was her axle needing replacing and that she would make it home to Dearborn safely. She is home safe tonight with an appointment to have her car serviced at the Honda dealership near her home tomorrow. Thank you to the two employees for the free advice and the customer service that calmed mom's anxiety, just before closing, without an appointment.

Recently I took my car into the Service Department for a tire check since the tire pressure light went on. I saw Christopher Cole, and he noticed that I was uncomfortable not knowing the problem since I would be driving to Lansing the next day. He looked at the tire and saw a nail; the problem was taken care of within an hour as promised along with a point check, and I left knowing that I would not have to worry about the tire. Chris is very polite, easy to talk to, caring, and knowledgeable when I asked other questions. I am hoping that you will share my comments with him. Thank you!
neel shaw: i had tried to get a car under my business about 5 months ago, i went in to test drive the new hrv after waiting a full 3 months for them to arrive, they had me purchase insurance, and run my credit just to tell me i couldn’t get it under my business due to my business only being established for 1.5 years. maybe i should have asked more questions but iwish they would have disclosed this before wasting my time and running my credit. after following up about 4 months. later they asked me if anything changed, i told them i got a car already but i would like my credit inquiry removed. they never responded making me believe they really just want your money they don’t actually care about helping people. Desmond the guy who helped me was really nice other than that i thought they werent very professional when it comes to getting a business vehicle
