I was impressed with speed, efficiency, and care with which she helped me and the other customer at that location (from 6/21).Highly recommend getting a vehicle there. Will definitely be using them in the future.Update: Another good experience at this location. Moe took care of my reservation with speed and courtesy. The vehicles at this location are always well-maintained, I highly recommend using this branch.

Pam A: I wish I could give 10 stars. The staff went above and beyond getting the right car for my long trip to Alabama. They absolutely care about giving the best customer service. The car was ready on time (and it was the busy graduation weekend for U of M), and the whole process of getting into my rental took no more than 10 minutes from start to finish. They even were genuinely interested to find out how my trip went. I will use them every time I need a rental, and I will refer everyone I know to this location! I can't say enough good things!

Amy Scott: Amazing customer service! I was getting my car serviced at a local dealership that was going to take a couple of days and they were suppose to have a loaner for me. No loaner so they sent me to Hertz. I was literally in tears because of the morning and not knowing where i was, etc. Mildred was so patient with me and gave me detailed directions. She even offered to stay on the phone with me until I got to where I was going! Absolutely amazing. Thank you!

Probably one of the easiest rentals I've ever done and will be going back next time I need to rent a car.Not only were the folks awesome, it's an easy in and out as far as roads and access to the highway.Note - the office is only accessed by entering the hotel, walking past the lobby desk, and turning left. You'll see the small sign for hertz rental above a pair of chairs. I had walked in expecting an outside access door or a sign direction me once I entered the lobby but had to ask at the desk where it was located.

Eleanor Brundage: We rented a Subaru Outback, now stuck in DC because the car battery ran out and we can't enter the car. At first we thought it was the fob so my husband went looking for a battery. Roadside assistance was no help, asked us to buy a battery! Service has really gone the drain. 2nd call was better but slow. He sent a person who unlocked the door and recharged the car battery, a lifesaver! Thanks to him we continued on our journey but missed a lunch invite.
Mitch Johnson: If I could I would give this place zero stars. My pick up was supposed to be at 11 AM. There was no one there at 11 to pick up my car. 10 minutes later someone arrived. I waited in line and finally made paperwork out 11:25. I already pre-paid Plus I did the pre-check in online. If that wasn’t enough I finally got out to the parking lot for them to bring my car to me I looked at my paperwork and it had somebody else’s name on it. It had someone else’s name but my credit card information on it. It also was not the right company I booked through online. It said I booked it through Avis I didn’t I booked it through budget. So they had to redo my paperwork and I had to wait again. They brought my car out to me and it was filthy Inside and out. The guy that brought it to me would not correct anything he only offered me an eight dollar car wash. He said he couldn’t get me anything else. So I took the car and had to fight with budget on the phone which cost me more time I did not have. If it will let me I will love the pictures of the car they gave me and wouldn’t make it right. Finally at 11:58 I could finally leave. It also cost me extra because my other rental was late. They took nearly an hour. I will be going back to Hertz and never use them again!
Margo M. Mahan: Unless nature has guaranteed that you will never get sick, rent elsewhere. I have a one way rental that I was to return to this location last week. Unfortunately, due to COVID, it’s been sitting in my driveway instead. Now that I’m starting to feel a bit better, I was hoping to finally return the car today. I naively assumed that after three years, like most businesses, Budget has a non-punitive customer friendly procedure in place for COVID-related rental issues. They do not. My options are to: a. Pay $270 for Budget to tow the vehicle 5 miles from my home to their location; b. continue to pay for the vehicle to sit in my driveway by extending the rental, or; c. drop the vehicle off in the lot, unlocked, with keys inside, then call to let them know it’s there (which likely means I’ll have to call repeatedly until someone at the location answers before my calls are forwarded to someone overseas). Option C enables the staff there to take precautionary measures against COVID (as it should). It also forces me to break quarantine and ultimately expose, at a minimum, whomever drives me home afterward (a Lyft or Uber driver, friend, etc.). In other words, it protects their staff’s health & well-being (as it should) and keeps business moving with my rental back in circulation — customer and public health be damned. This is my first time renting with Budget. Well before the COVID pandemic, the non-airport locations of other rental companies, at least in other states (I’m relatively new to MI) have provided car pickup and drop off services for seniors, folks with disabilities, and in extenuating circumstances such as proof of illness. That is something that Budget does not do. Now I know. This is also my last time renting with Budget.

If you are a UM employee don't forget that you will have a discount with budget.Here is what we said about the Avis (and this applies to budget).We like this specific location. Our choice for any friends or family visiting us.They are not super fast, like any rental location. Cars are somewhat ok and somewhat clean. It is a little bit of a luck factor. They don't have a big choice and it is logical.Make sure to note your fuel level, taking pictures and double check your invoice. You will probably have some mistakes made along the way. When you call they will fix the mistakes made ... Won't give five stars because we always need to double check everything.There is sadly very few other option in Ann Arbor. It is fair and that is all. 4 stars.

There was something wrong with my card this time but the staff helped me resolve it very quickly. The cars I got from this place are always of high quality and easy to drive. This time the staff gave me a spacious SUV and helped me drive it at the front door and wash it. Highly recommend this place.

Allison Murray: I promise I will never rent from this budget ever again these people took my deposit and told me I would get it back once I returned the vehicle I extended the vehicle for another 2 weeks and had to fill out a new contract where another $200 was taken out of my account and I was told my first deposit would be put back on my card within 24 hours my money never came I called then for 3 days and was put on hold for more than 30 minutes each time if anyone even came back to the phone. I was then transferred to customer service after sitting on the phone for so long each time where they put me on hold for another 30 minutes each time. When I finally got someone on the phone they gone tell me that I was not getting my $200 deposit back cause it went towards my rental after they had took money out my account for the rental everytime. Something told me to go to Enterprise. I font know why I trusted Budget. I already knew they wasn't good business from the one in South Carilina. I didn't think they was crooked everywhere, but now I see...I'm telling you if you want Quality service don't come here not only is the rental places run by children but customer service is tooNEVER AGAIN...
William Griffin: If I could do negative stars….I had a guaranteed reservation. $25 Uber ride to location. No car. Not available. The shop had been open 3 Hours prior to my arrival; they could have notified me. They did not. Offered a vehicle for me to go get AN HOUR AWAY. NOT A SOLUTION! Called 3 times from the rental location. Hung up on. No help from budget or Expedia. Watched them not help 3 other people while I was there. This company is THE WORST!!!

Shawn: Some of the other reviews talk about how this place is operated by children. Well, I can verify this. . . I picked up my car yesterday and noticed that the employees are all teenagers. They have almost NO knowledge about ANYTHING at all. When you speak to the staff or ask a question, I suggest choosing your words carefully and use brief sentences. Do NOT overwhelm the staff with multiple points / questions at the same time. If you do, their programming will fail immediately and you'll be given an unhelpful, default response. Think of the experience as similar to talking to a robot that's been struck by lightning and needs to reboot. If your question or statement is acceptable to them, you'll immediately face a, brief, blank stare with little indication that they heard or understood you. Don't panic, this is normal. After the initial pause, you might be given a response. When it comes, their response will be mumbled at such a low volume that you'll barely perceive it. This, combined with the fact that everyone speaks at the floor or otherwise away from you, makes communication challenging, at best. . . . There is no customer service here, don't expect any and you'll be fine.I think I figured it out. Other reviews mention a character named Ibrahim, who, I think, manages or owns this location. I'm guessing that Ibrahim has hired his kids or other family members to run things when he's not there. Or, maybe he hires "at risk" kids in order to give them a job. That's fine and all, good for him (them). But, if you rent from this location, know what you're getting into. The price was good. But, "you get what you pay for."As an addendum to my above review - I picked up my car on a Sunday for a four day rental. They quoted me a price of $40.99 per day, plus taxes and other associated fees. I called on the following Tuesday to extend my rental for another 3 weeks. The person I talked to said that this was not a problem and I'd be charged a daily rate of $49.00. Huh, $9.00 more per day than I was originally quoted? The icing on the S**T cake was that they took over $1,700 from my checking account right then and there WITHOUT telling me they were do so. I was beyond livid as a result of this. I decided to return the car as soon as humanly possible. While cleaning the car I found a rotting tomato under the passenger seat, an old iced tea bottle and a business card. Wait. . . maybe the tomato was the icing on the S**T cake. In the end, they refunded the money they stole from me. But, still, one of the worst experiences I've had with a business.

When I called they just removed the charge which is fine, but it seems like it's just a scam and they expect people won't notice and will just pay it.

Found out they close shop earlier than our contract required, which meant that we left the keys in the car and just left it in the lot as instructed by the 800 number. Found out the next week that the location didn't bother closing out our rental the next day- or ever. They left us with a $1k bill while they totally kept renting the car out to other people. It took getting a new car at a whole different location and then getting them to override the charges to even know that anything was wrong because apparently no one could be bothered to tell us beforehand. Never renting with Budget again. We're frugal, but there's a limit.
Denise Brooks: This rental agency is very unprofessional! It’s being operated by teenagers who don’t tell you important details regarding your contract! For example, if you don’t call and extend, there’s a $20 per day late fee that you will inquire as well as a $10 extension fee! I dropped my car off after hours and was charged for an additional day! At the end, I was charged $314 for a four day rental that was $41 per day! Such a disgrace… MY COMPANY AND I WILL NEVER USE THIS LOCATION OR BUDGET RENTAL AGAIN!

christina gomez: Terrible customer service from the man at the desk. I had a reservation to pick up a car at 8am was told the day before I picked up the car that it wouldn't be a problem to get there between 8am-10:30am because my schedule was busy in the morning. I arrived at 10:30am and the male desk worker told me that they gave the car to someone else because I wasn't there at 8am. Zero compassion, apology or professionalism from the man even though this was an error on his part. I would not use or recommend this location to anyone.
Ms.: I thank everyone at the Enterprise on Jackson Road in Ann Arbor for being so kind. I rented a car for 24 hours on Thursday through Friday. On Friday my meetings and appointments were backed up. By the time I made it to one of my meetings, I knew I would not have enough time to make it to my other appointments. So I called Enterprise. I think the supervisor answered. I explained my dilemma to her. She was very understanding and offered an additional 4 hours at no additional cost. And it was on a busy Friday. I hardly ever have a great reason to write a great review. I'm truly appreciative of the quality service I received!

Guess What: Avoid at all cost unless you want to be scammed out of 700+ dollars. Yes, you read that right, more than seven hundred dollars. We were charged more sneaky fees that we explicitly said no to than what the car rental itself was worth.Came to pick up a car paid for fully except some 50 dollar fee on Expedia. Got asked about insurance and said "we paid for the regular Expedia coverage". The clerk mumbled something about how "well you should have more" and then added 400+ dollars of insurance charge on top of our 50 dollar fee, and then another 200 dollars of other fees and taxes.When pointed out that this does not look right at all, since the car itself was about 600 dollars, the clerk had the audacity to say "oh I cannot change it now, if you want it now you have to pay for the car and then speak to my manager on Monday". Confused and thinking the 700 dollars was the cost for the car + the insurance that he cannot remove, we paid for it and left, only to find out the 700 was ALL EXTRA.Hertz is running a massive scam here and we will be disputing this with the credit card company if Hertz does not sort it out. We said multiple times to the clerk that we did not want the insurance, and it was added on without our consent anyways. Absolutely infuriating.

They picked me up right on time and had my rental ready to go. When I left my sunglasses in the car, they had them ready for pickup. If you can navigate around the phone menu to a person or get them on email, you are all set. Really a night and day experience from any airport rental car location.

I guess we came in 5 minutes early so we needed to drop off 5 min early and didn't realize it and they charged us 12.00 for being late. Ajay Jha: Bad experience form the branch. First they delivered a car with very low tyre pressure for which I was to waste my time. Than next day, its key got locked. Further, I got a flat tyre which took almost entire day to fix ...apparently tyre shop didnt get the approval from hertz on time till I had to call up and remind. Overall...a very frustating experience .

Instead of leaving us stranded, Enterprise called us in advance, explained what had transpired and then checked other near by store and I was still able to rent my car! On top of that, when I went to other store, they not only had a car for me, but when I arrived they hustled and had that car deep cleaned and ready to go so I wasn't delayed in any way. I was very impressed not only they had accommodations for me but with the timely manner, amazing!

PrettyLittle Personalized: My rental had a flat. I changed vehicles in KY. The Enterprise in KY was very helpful although they gave me a much smaller car then what I paid for. I did not have enough room to bring back all of my material from my work function so I had to pay to have them shipped. The Branch Manager in Ann Arbor ( airport location) would only comp me $100. The cost was over $80 and again I had a smaller car. He stated that's all he could do. He would not allow me to speak to anyone else. He told me to file a complaint with corporate. He was very unprofessional, with not an ounce of sympathy or empathy. I will never rent from this location again.

Spanish223: I get my work rentals from the Jackson Rd location and continue to be pleased with my service. I always receive at least the level of car I have reserved or better. The cars are clean and I appreciate the thorough walk-around before taking the keys. The employees go out of their way to make me feel taken care of and my projects appreciate the policy of only charging me for the days I have the car if a work trip ends early. I use this location because it falls within the radius that Enterprise will drop me back at home when I return the car and the person driving the shuttle is always kind and professional. Enterprise will continue to get my business, for work and personal use.

Kita Brown: I currently have a rental. While on the road the dash started flashing service engine/oil change needed. When we contacted this office they said trade it in. That was an extra hour drive away. We then called customer service, they said trade it in or take it to pep boys. There was no concern for our issue. When we went to get the oil change we were told “that car needed Jesus” there was 0 oil, engine was knocking (which we heard but didn’t think oil was an issue in a rental out mistake) and had we continued the car would have likely blown up. This is unacceptable service, they told us not to believe the sticker that said 3/22 was the last oil change. They said don’t believe the dash that says it needs oil. They said we should believe them because their system said it was done. I am so glad we didn’t listen to them or we could be dead or seriously injured. This used to be the only car service I used, I no longer feel safe or comfortable. Hopefully they see who is falsifying the paperwork so this doesn’t happen again.

Employee still insisted that we walk around car and “inspect it”. When refusing the “insurance”, stated any damage that is currently on car will be my responsibility.2. Drove straight home. Two hours later, car is now defrosted. It is filthy. Not just the exterior. Inside and out. However, the sign hanging in car assured that the entire car would be wiped down. Not even close to being cleaned.3. Codes that showed up on dash. “Low FOB battery”. “Oil change needed”. “Low tire pressure”. Three tires 8 – 10 lbs low.4. Local rental location now closed. Called 800 number twice. Both customer reps said a supervisor would have to call back. Nothing.Will never rent from this company again.UPDATE: I was sent an email from Enterprise because of this review. I submitted my info as requested, and again, was promised that someone would follow up. Nothing yet. I appreciate the immediate response from them here on Google but its just a response for the public to think that they are concerned. They are not. Enterprise is a good rental company if you have no problems. If you do have any issues, do not think you will be taken care of. Wish I could leave “0” stars.
Kit Howard: After discovering that the online inventory did not match what was on the lot and the car I had reserved the night before was unavailable, the staff at the Jackson Rd Ann Arbor Enterprise office went way above and beyond to find me a suitable vehicle at a manageable price. I had no flexibility in terms of timing and thanks to them I was able to take my trip as planned. They demonstrated wxcellent professionalism and customer service and I will definitely use them again when I next need a rental vehicle.

Now at this time the company has over charged me almost $600 and after 18 phone calls in 3 days they are telling me I am going to have to wait 10 days and call back to discuss the money they additionally took from me. Thank you AVIS for ruining my weekend trip, making us 5 hours late and delaying my life because I had to spend so much time on the phone with your company trying to get this to the point of being told I have to wait 10 days to discuss everything. Your company is the worst!!!!!

When I reported expired tags I was told car is indeed registered until April 2023. So…why isn’t this reflected on license? Hours wasted on phone with Avis to switch out car. Avis is epitome of a company that’s lost its way and has not care for the customer.

And the car was not in good condition at all as during half of my trip, the dashboard showed that the tire pressure was low. So I changed to another car. And although I have prepaid the rental, when I returned the car, I was still charged another amounts. Not sure why. Really disappointed and bad experience.

It is a little bit of a luck factor. They don't have a big choice and it is logical.Make sure to note your fuel level, taking pictures and double check your invoice. You will probably have some mistakes made along the way. When you call they will fix the mistakes made ... Won't give five stars because we always need to double check everything.There is sadly very few other option in Ann Arbor. It is fair and that is all. 4 stars.

Christopher Chen: Worst possible experience. Booked online. showed up and they said they don't have a car for me and it's the holiday season, so good luck finding another car. they said that this happens all the time. how does a car rental agency allow itself to mismanage its reservations on a consistent basis? And, their attitude was really just unhelpful.
Mo Mohamed: I couldn’t give 0. Area Manager is not responsive to emails. Promises are made and aren’t fulfilled.Executive elite for 15 years, and this is the worst region to rent.
Lee Swanson: Renter beware! I rented an older minivan for 24 hours from the Detroit Airport National location (near here) and then weeks later I received a damage claim for over $2k for very minor damage at different locations on the vehicle. I did not damage the vehicle during the 1-day rental and was not informed of any damage to the vehicle at drop off.I did my best to defend myself and explain the facts to National and it’s claim collection division, but it did not matter. They wouldn’t listen to reason. It was a headache and now I must pay $2k, which means I also must let others know the risks of renting with National. Please beware!

What they did is not consistent with what they said over the phone call, and they claimed that the phone number listed cannot reach them (so what they said over the phone is not valid). Actually the front desk later indicated he was there when another guy answered my phone call.PLEASE never rent a car HERE. Or if you want to have a try and leave the same comment here, please go ahead.National is generally good. For example, DTW National has far more better cars and the staff there is more polite. It is also not very far from AA (20-25min using I94).

This time around I left my sport jacket in the car, called the next day and they could not find it. You can not be that busy or hardline holding to the rules of a customer leaving something in a car. Very disappointed in this current experience.
Paul Guttman: The people working the desk at Ann Arbor Airport are fantastic and were very nice to work with on our rental. We had an issue with our car not being on site when we arrived to pick it up and they upgraded us to a luxury SUV which worked well for our travels. Our other issue was the cleanliness of our vehicle. Rather than wash the car prior to giving it to us they sprayed it with water to make it appear clean. We hand wash our personal vehicles and this car hadn't seen a good wash in months. Prior to our trip we cleaned all of the windows inside and topped off the tank (the car was only half full when we got it). The folks at National customer service were also very good when this was reoprted to them and gave us a free day on our next rental

Unfortunately, the van I got smelled like smoke even though there was a no-smoking sign on the car. They were very very busy, and I didn't have a enough time to try and swap out. It ended up being quite bad and gave me a headache. I tried to call several times to see if I could swap out at a different store, but no answer. Anyway, I would give the service rep 10 stars! The car itself gets 2 stars, so I gave an overall 4.
Razvan Burghiu: It started out ok, but drop off was terrible, and I still don't know how much I will be charged. I went to turn in the car after hours, but the drop box was stuck (apparently full). I called in, made them take a note and kept the key to return the next day which is a drive for me. Then after I called again the next day and returned the key I thought I was fine. But no, I get an email saying I'm getting charged extra because they failed to take into account the key delay, even though they had the car, and probably a spare key, since the key I only had one keyfob. I called in again, and they said they didn't know and they'll fix it. Now, I don't know what is going on. The hold is gone, but god knows what they will charge. Your CS is terrible and unreliable, and doesn't communicate between itself.

The only thing is the availability of choice of cars is limited as they are a small place to rent from and many people rent from here. We wanted a smaller vehicle and all they had was big SUV and this happened twice. Apart from that fact, it was a great experience renting from here.

Tim 33: This is no longer a hertz building. Lafontaine owns it. Just trying to give a heads up to people. Hertz, stil two plus years later, is sending people to this 3500 jackson rd location, as a drop-off. It is not a drop-off point for hertz/owned by hertz anymore.
Tom Herwick: Was promised a pick-up at 9 AM sharp at my local collision shop this morning. I'm currently still waiting for them to get their driver over to me. The excuse is that they need you to call prior to needing a ride. Why would I call when you promised me a 9 AM pick up???
Albert L: I am a Hertz President Circle member and I always choose Hertz when I can. I did an one way rental from DTW to this location. When I arrived the location at 5pm, doors are locked. I waited more than 15 minutes until someone showed up without even saying sorry. To be clear, this location closes at 6pm not 5. Even worse, one day after dropping off the rental car, I find that the contract still remains open, and they are still charging my credit card. This is the worst experience I had with Hertz and I suggest the main office take a look at this location.

I waited for a while and no text came. When I called back to find out what happened, Jeremy stated no Lyft was setup and his associate left to take care of other tasks. Haitham’s carelessness was a huge inconvenience to my schedule. He was in too much of a rush to verify and/or place the order for a Lyft or let his associate know to checkup or complete what he didn’t. Jeremy was very helpful and made sure our needs were met despite his partners lack of effort. If it wasn’t for Jeremey, I would rate this place a one star.
larry gocha: Long story short. My mother needed a car in a hurry. Her vehicle broke down and she needed something to transport her granddaughter to and from school, plus other very important things. She also needed a car with enough space to haul her cello around. Without hesitation they had one available for her and at a great price. Thank you so much

Tina Ziemek: I arrived and they didn't have a car for me. Worse is how they handled the situation, they literally highlighted the number on the pamphlet and said there's nothing they could do. That it was my responsibility to call before I reserved the car to make sure they could accommodate my last-minute rental. I get I should have called, but their response was the opposite of what customer service should be. I took it upon myself to call another Ann Arbor Hertz location (East) and the employees over there were exact opposite to Jackson's. I will avoid this location and only go to East.

William Kujala: These guys are 100% the best car rental in Ann Arbor. Great customer service, friendly staff. Jeremy (the manager? or manager in training?) always does a great job getting you out the door asap.
Dave Kiser: Rented a car from them. Didn't notice until the following evening that it was leaking oil. Now we have two spots on our driveway. The one spot next to the line in the driveway is from about 23 hours of sitting (pretty sure the size difference is because the oil ran alone the line), the other from just 10. This is not an insignificant leak. Edit: my wife moved the car to the street to get a photo. Twenty minutes later, she moved the car again, to see how much had leaked. The spot under the car was two inches in diameter. Hertz gave her a new car. That's the minimum they should do, so my rating stands. I'm having trouble believing they didn't know the car leaked.

Jesse De Los Santos: Horrible and never again. I waited over an hour and a half for a car that had been reserved well ahead of time. According to several people in line, this happens often.
ree G: I am not really pleased with this rental place. First I had the time to pick up my car at 1pm because I had prior commitments after. When arriving the car wasnt ready, it was still in the place where they clean it. So after 20 minutes of sitting in my car, the younger gentleman came out with the car and handed me the key. In the past with renting a car thru Hertz they let you look over the car and mark down if here was any dents, scratches, etc..Well aS I was pulling away I glanced at car and saw some black marks all over the car and I called and the guy who gave me the keys said oh it's mud, sorry. Believing him I pulled away. We came back later that day and it wasmt mud and the car was in pretty ruff shape. I've never rented a car that wasn't nice. Between the smell of cigarettes when coming into the car, til all the damage on the car, and the so called cleaning they did before they gave me the car, it was an unpleasant experience. If I can ask a question it would be if you cleaned the car why would there be a huge smear on the windshield inside, or that the outside of the car was so dirty?Last note, if you are looking for a rental car, run away from here.
Adversary: Aside from a couple friendly staff, this is the worst rental agency I've ever been to. The senior member is unprofessional. You often have to leave your personal car in a beat up gravel lot in the back. The office is terribly slow, sometimes waiting up to an hour just to get your car. It is so slow that I've seen people in line give up, and say they were going to Enterprise across the street. One man said that he had a reservation in the morning and they couldn't give him a car until the afternoon. If you have to go to Hertz, go to another location.
cucos petru daniel: I went there for the only purpose people go there. Prior to this I called to ask about the american issue of the debit card. They were agree to run a check-up of my debit card to tell me if I qualify for a rental. When I arrived, the price for 3 days, medium sized car was around 100 plus insurance. But when I told them again that I only have debit card, the price became 200 😂😂😂
