Vault of Midnight: what do users think?
Andy B: Large store with a great selection and very knowledgeable, very cool staff. The layout is a perfect blend of comfortable spacing and product density. There is a lot to browse through but the store doesn't feel crowded.
Ryan Corbin: I can’t walk out of here without a stack of books. Every single time. Amazing selection. Great amount of Humanoids books.
Brad Tobin: Love this place! Great selection friendly staff
Sierra clark: Absolutely love this place for manga and comics. They have a small collection in stock but if you’re looking for something specific they can always look it up and get it in for you. They even have pulling boxes that you can sign up for so you don’t miss the next issue of your favorite comics. I absolutely love stopping by when I’m in town.
D Gilmer: Big store with lots of stuff from comics and collectibles to zines and indie TTRPGs. Friendly staff!
Michelle A: Always a delight.
Michael Taillard: Comics, manga, tabletop games, RPGs, collectibles, etc. Knowledgeable and friendly. Truly a great nerd shop.Would it kill them to put a big oscillating fan in there, though? The air sits heavy and stagnant everywhere except right in front of a tiny AC near the back.
Tabetha Short: Love the store but no public restrooms.
Matthew Foster: Went to Vault of midnight on a whim today while exploring Ann Arbor. I found so many cool current indie titles I haven't been able to find elsewhere! Loved that they had a hard copy of Flavor Girls out on display as that title flew under the radar when it released so great to see VoM knew what was up! Also Leslie's Picks were on point with copies of Squee and JTHM! If u know u know! Amazing shop I plan to frequent often!
Brad Probert: This place is always amazing. Massive collection of comics, Manga books, collectible figurines, and SO MANY board games!
Terri Vehrenkamp: As always the vault of midnight staff were welcoming, knowledgable and helpful. They almost always have what we're looking for and if not they have suggestions for similar items.
Chance Petree: great place 👌 👍 good atmosphere and staff
Doug Kalmbach (Duggyffresh): A must for any fan of comic books and board games
ray charles: This place is rad AF
Lawrence Siden: Great collection.
Peter Hofesmann: Great selection of games
Casey Watson: I absolutely love going to this place, whether it be for comic books, board games, or even dice! The staff are extremely friendly and helpful!
Joggo: As a nerd, this was a perfect spot to chill at. Great for children and adults. Could sell some more mainstream Pokemon cards though.
Amelie Perry: This store has a fun vibe that makes me happy every time I walk inside it. And there is always something new to catch my eye! It can be a bit pricey so definitely set a budget. Love this store and would recommend it to any other weirdos like me :).
billy Byers: This place is amazing for collectors or fans of anime or comics they have board games you name it you will more and likely see it here best shopping experience
Todd Minnehan: Same place it has always been.

Sanka Hettiarachchi: This was a gift from heaven on a cold Friday morning in Ann Arbour. A cozy place with great coffee ☕️ and croissants 🥐. Loved the combination and also the roasted coffee smell at the cafe.Loved the fact that they served kid sized tumblers with warm milk so that they too could experience the café atmosphere with the adults.A great place to visit for a chat with friends and family if you’re in the vicinity of University of Michigan. 🤩 will be back for sure!!!Kid-friendliness: They had small coffee tumblers that they served warm milk 🥛 for kids 🤩 it was so cool that they could enjoy the coffee atmosphere with the adults.
Amy Courtney: Good espresso drinks and pour overs plus delicious pastries. Cute location in the arcade.
Amazing T. S.: spunky and rad cafe in a snug spot.
Shreyasi Datta: I think even my department's almost free coffee tastes better than this place. On top of that it is very expensive! I also had a chocolate croissant and that was horrible too. I don't see the point of going there again. What's up with you guys, seriously! Only good thing about this cafe is its location.
Yu-Chien Sun: 推!Ann Arbor 必喝
Rahaf Alharbi: Comet is my favorite coffee shop in Ann Arbor!I love to start my mornings with their dolce latte which is just perfect. It is not too sweet at all. Lately, I've been switching to oat milk and it still great. I love their pastries as well. The chocolate croissant is delicious. The The outside seating is amazing!
Rafael Santos: You won't find a place in AA that puts more love, care, and attention into every cup than here. There's a lot of fantastic coffee around here, but if you are looking for a coffee experience that takes it to the next level, look no further.Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More

Google Account: Nice quaint place with soft music but average coffee.I ordered the dulce coffee which is priced at $5. I liked the coffee art on it but the coffee itself was average at best.
Arash Yunesi: Cozy little place for coffee lovers. If you are as geeky as us about real coffee and fine pour overs this place is the perfect spot for you. The pour over we tried was the best I have tried in the US. Very smooth and flavorful. The staff are very knowledgeable and passionate about coffee and eager to help you out or just chat about coffee aromas and origins.

Dhroov Patel: Awesome seasonal flavors and the vibe is great inside. The staff are really friendly and will give you great recommendations. A plus is also that the bathrooms are really nice and clean.
Reyad Jawech: Great place. Nice atmosphere. Friendly service. Coffee was alright a little above average.
Ellie Fassoi: The space is so beautiful, and the art on the walls so stunning! The coffee was great!Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Haley Winkle: custie service and quality of coffee are always amazing!Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Vaishnavi Katta: Nice Cafe with a cute study environment. Can get a little busy, but its a good place to sit and work. I love the Mugs they use too. I got the matcha latte and it tasted pretty good.Food: 4/5|Service: 4/5|Atmosphere: 4/5 …More
Denise Merie: The coffee is good as I believe it is Roos Roast, therefor 3 stars. Baked goods are awful. Staff not particularly polite. I thanked her for making the capp’s, but no response. Makes me think she had an attitude because I only gave her $1 tip. Another squeezed by where we were sitting to clean a side table and didn’t say excuse me. Her butt was within inches. The atmosphere is enjoyable, but there are so many patrons on their laptops which I am becoming accustomed to in Ann Arbor, but still don’t care for. It’d be fine for a take out.
Rohit Karthaa: Spacious, cool cafe with vibrant interior designs. Tech related companies are also nearby so its potentially great for career development or networking. The staff I met was super nice and they even stay open later weekly to have Friday night hang outs.
Tendrid: Food: 4/5|Service: 4/5|Atmosphere: 3/5More
Jay Holmstrom: Great coffee place downtown serving Roos Roast coffee. If you're looking for a temporary office space by the day or by the month they have that too
xueqing wu: loved the environment and the coffee cup.they clearly have put a lot of effort into interior design and maintaining it.However, the coffee is very brunt, the milk overheaten, and the coffee overextracted, which results in intense bitterness. Please, respect your ingredient.damn, would be a killer if the coffee is half decent.
lina aldossari: I tried the lavender latte, and I liked it but not that much because the lavender flavor was quite strong.I also tried the cappuccino was perfect
Lvmi bd: Love the oat milk latte!
Derek Cebrian: A nice coffee shop to vibe in. They have nice reading materials (books, magazines, graphic novels), as well as comfortable seating. The only drawback I believe is that the coffee is a bit overpriced, but their selections are great
Craig Pfeifer: Tasty treats, good seating options, solid wifi, delicious drip coffee, great spot to hunker down and get some work done.
Brittni White: Love this cute coffee shop!
alejo alvis: Nice place, friendly staff 👌
Eyad Abuelezz: Dont' recommend this place . Coffee tastes very bad.

Hyperion Coffee Co - Ann Arbor: what do users think?
Sara O: This coffee shop is easily one of the best I've ever stopped at. Clean and well designed interior, a helpful barista, and some of the best coffee I've ever had the delight of drinking. Their menu isn't huge, but they serve out quality standards and a few specialty drinks. There are bakery items and some canned drinks for purchase as well as a small retail area. There's a good amount of seating available indoors. I will absolutely come here again if I'm ever in the area.
Luca Bommarito: Good coffee and music, nice environment to work / study
Rose Sproat: their coffee is amazing and I love this place’s vibe! aj was super sweet
Eva Hink-Lemke: Open at 7 am. Liked that they use real cups for inhouse consumption instead of waste producing coffee-to-go cups. Very good coffee.
Nikolai Belinski: Their coffee is great here! Ann Arbor is not short of great coffee shops so it may be hard to choose but go to Hyperion! They have the best espresso in Ann Arbor hands down! Their baked goods are delicious as well!Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Erika Dueñas: I came here with a friend on our way through the state, and I am so happy that we stopped here! I got the cardi boi latte and the rye tea cake. The latte was fantastic - it has cardamon, brown sugar, and cinnamon. I was concerned that it would be too sweet, but it was perfect! The tea cake is incredible! The barista was very friendly and knowledgeable about the drinks. He was able to tell me what flavor I should be expecting with my drink! I highly recommend this cafe for anyone in the area and anyone visiting!Parking: This is in the middle of downtown Ann Arbor so there is plenty of parking. Depending on times, it may be free or paid.Wheelchair accessibility: Unfortunately, this business is not wheelchair accessible. I am not sure if they have an option to add a ramp to the stairs outside. But that would be a beneficial thing to add to allow all patrons to make it into the cafe.Dietary restrictions: There is an option to substitute alternative milks for an extra 75 cents.
Theodore Greenfelder: Cozy little shop, delicious oatmeal cream pie
Matt: Good latte but doesn’t allow dogs, even for a moment, which makes it a difficult stop on a walk
Eric Suchyta: I had the opportunity to stop in Hyperion, Comet, and Roos to sample the downtown roasters during my Ann Arbor stay, and I give Hyperion the pick on best espresso pull.
Melanie Riederer: A cozy little gem in the heart of A2. The barista served me a lovely tea latte at my request. The seating is sparse early in the morning but it thins out in about an hour.
James Mcpike: This is the best coffee shop in Ann Arbor. The seating is comfortable, the coffee is great and it’s usually relatively quiet. The only downside is it’s a bit small and there’s limited seating.
Ilakkiya Venkat: My friend and I caught up after a long time at Hyperion and it was our first time trying their coffee. The staff were so nice, the place was the perfect setting for casual conversation, and the coffee was picture perfect! I look forward to going there again.Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Alannis Barber: Cookie spice latte had no flavor, and spiced mocha was just mocha with cayenne for $5. Not much seatingFood: 2/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 1/5 …More
Coy Weller: I've been to many coffee shops throughout the US and this is by far the best one I've been to. Coffee is top notch, service is impeccable, and the vibes are on point.Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Charlotte Wilson: My favorite coffee shop in town. Hyperion makes the best oat milk latte I've ever had. The coffee is delicious and local to neighboring Ypsilanti. The space is as lovely and inviting as the staff - simply delightful.
Lucia Gonzalez: my favorite coffee in ann arbor!! i come here daily and it’s the highlight of my day :) coffee is amazing and service is incredible! the baristas are super sweet, extremely accommodating and knowledgeable. highly recommend to anyone!
Justin Rowan: Both their drinks and beans are among the best coffee I’ve ever had. Everyone I have met who works there is very friendly too.
Leka Shameti: Cosy and intimate place to have the morning coffee.A pitty that there aren't any cakes of croisssant type to go with the coffee here.Food: 3/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 4/5 …More
B G: Coffee, baristas, and location are all great — my only suggestion would be that you consider staying open a little longer (7:30 or 8:00 pm, maybe?).
Jaclyn: Great vibes, great coffee. I tried the season spiced mocha latte with oat milk and it was a unique, refreshing twist on the normal holiday coffee drinks. Highly recommend!
Dylan Austin: This place has so much charm and amazing coffee. One of my favorites!

K Bro: Obscene price for the coconut drink. I was visiting from New York and paid 8 dollars for an iced drink. It wasn’t tasty at all so I asked for a regular iced latte. They took the drink back and made me pay for a new drink. The iced latte tasted really bitter and watered down. My husbands regular hot latte was okay. Not going there again.
BillionaireFaith: Best blueberry Latta I have ever had. 😋
Pannaphat Scott: Great place to have some nice coffee and relaxed vibe in the morning. I come here several times for my favorite breakfast its a Turkey Panini I got to say this got me hook! 🍞🥐☕️ I will keep come back to check out other menu as well 😸 but overall this place is great and chill~Ps. My drink in the pictures is “Earth day matcha Latte” 🌎🍃 I’m not sure if this will be seasonal drink or all time but you should try if you like matcha
Eddie Smith: Delicious coffee, good service, clean restrooms, and a great facility... except for parking :/Vegetarian options: Plenty of vegetarian options available.
Peri Stone-Palmquist: Had a delish, complex pour over and enjoyed it in a comfy chair. Will come back.Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More

Moushumi Mookerjee: Wonderful blue foam coffee. The ginger flavored cone was unique and delicious....never had before. However did not give full points on the service ...because the barista went away chatting with another person while I stood there waiting for my order. Everyone else was served. Since nothing was mentioned on why mine took so long . .I have to call it out.
Deanna Saleh: Cappuccino is delicious. GF baked goods available.Dietary restrictions accommodated Gluten free, Dairy free …More
Melanie Eccles: Beautiful lattes and the most knowledgeable coffee baristas and roasters!
Theodore Greenfelder: Great coffee in the shop and great beans for at home.
Arielle 9892: I love going to Black Diesel, the staff is always super friendly, and clearly knowledgeable about their products. They always have some sort of tasty seasonal drinks, and I love that they have a little plant shelf to buy new plants from!
Dillon Taylor: Vegetarian options: Vegetarian, vegan, and GF optionsParking: If the shared lot in front is full, there's another lot behind the building. Street parking 2 blocks awayWheelchair accessibility: Sidewalk ramp and handicap parking spot, manual door
Kevin Bohannon: $3.75 for a 12 oz black coffee from a carafe?I'm not sold. It's easily the most expensive non-pour-over brewed coffee I've had in Washtenaw County. You should be way more upfront about why what you're serving is special. Like, $2 of that better have gone to a farmer in Ethiopia. It tastes fine, but not $0.33 an ounce fine.Edit: First, I said your coffee tasted fine. The negatives in my review were about price and your business's story telling. Maybe if you, oh, I dunno, had prices on your menu I wouldn't have been so put off. I'm giving you a customer perspective. That said, I literally have a spreadsheet of coffee prices in Ann Arbor. I'd share it with you, but I'm not running your coffee business for you. Here's one piece of data: the next highest price I've paid for a cup of drip coffee is $3.50 for a 20oz at Ann Arbor Roasting Company. Are you telling me that every high quality coffee shop in A2 isn't making money selling coffee? I'll even give the benefit of the doubt that black coffee is a loss leader. But then you are leading with the lowest loss I've seen around.Your business is failing at telling the story of your coffee... even on your website. That story is part of being "third wave" lol. If you aren't making money on coffee maybe you should move your business somewhere with lower rent or chose a different business model. As it stands, I'd say you're a just profiteer of the New Ann Arbor™
Wayne Nesmith: Awesome Coffee Cave ! Fabulous finished basement feel ! Unique Coffee, friendly staff. If I could, I would compliment the ownerFood: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Joshua Jones: I had not been there for years, but a barista at Cafe Liv recommended their beans. I was very impressed with where they had come. Initially their lattes tasted like they were brewed in bus muffler, like Biggby. But, upon trying them now, so much difference. I put it on par with mighty good and roos. They are roasting their own beans now. I enjoyed their Burundi, Holidays Blend. and Victor's blend (Espresso). However, their Cafe Liv blend (exclusive to that cafe) is worth the trip to ypsilanti. Their staff are pleasant, but my first return trip on a Sunday afternoon, they seemed not in good spirits. But early Saturday morning, they were friendly and chipper. The atmosphere has the diesel character. Baked goods are nice too. Plenty of Gelato. Tea selection good, but their tea lattes are not great. Parking and Location are tricky if not a walker. Seating is good. Also close enough for a stroll around that part of A2. No notes on the bathroom yet.Vegetarian options: most everything but the meat sandwiches is vegetarian or has options.Kid-friendliness: plenty of kid friendly foods. Also hot chocolate, steamers, and tea.Parking: Limited spots due to location.
Caroline Miller: The coffee is great 😊 However, my partner and I were looking for a bite to eat after a long day of travel. We both ordered paninis. They were tasty but very small in portion and way way overpriced for their value. I would not recommend getting food from them.
