Eli Maurer: Trash! Been going here for years and every pair of glasses I’ve got even ray bans have always come defected! I asked for a new pair once but never got anything so I just gave up and took what I got. My final straw was when I went in and asked for a trial pair of contacts but they couldn’t even give me that! Even after years and years of being a customer! I’ll take my business to svs down the road! Place should be called America’s Worst! Would give 0 stars if I could!
Jake Stickler: dont waste your time here. unhelpful staff, no one seems to care about the employees. Long wait times, constantly on hold if you try to call them. literally try anywhere else.
Mohammad Nimer: I had been going to this location ever since I was a kid and never met a nicer person to help me with my prescription. Rebecca Hoff saw me 9:30am and was amazingly energetic. She was easily the best I’ve had test me for a new prescription. Showed me pictures of my eyes and what she saw when looking at them to help me understand to make the best decision. She didn’t ask for this review and I rarely write them. Definitely will ask to have her see me next time I come in.
Maxwell James: Why would you go to a huge chain that doesn’t even staff real doctors to handle the situation where their cheap, poor quality contact lenses (also produced by AB!) become stuck in the patient’s eye? There are a lot of small practices in the area who do staff real doctors and actually care about their patient’s experience. You should go to those places instead of this one.
Dennis Paquette: Every time I come in I go directly to Tim. He has helped me out countless times and is always extremely accommodating, polite, and professional. If you come to this place I suggest you ask for Tim. I will be returning here to deal with him specifically. Thank Tim, I appreciate you buddy.
Kay Dee: I had to call multiple times and go in four times to get a correct prescription for contacts. Poor customer service, no promised call backs, rude front desk. Won’t be using again since I can’t trust them to write the right numbers on my prescription
Bex Marie: I’ve been a long standing customer since I was a child and my parents brought me here. I recently came back and got both my contact and glasses exam here, preformed by Dr. Hoff. Let me start out by saying Dr. Hoff was absolutely incredible, probably the best doctor I have seen for my vision. She was informative, friendly, professionally comedic, I absolutely loved being seen by her! After my exams Tim helped me out with getting my contacts. Tim was also extremely knowledgable, helpful and you can tell he strives to make anyone who walks through their doors comfortable and feel as if they matter to him and the business. Thank you Ryan, for being awesome and having such a great team!
Yanjun Li: The Worst eyecare store ever!!! Took eye exam and order contact lens in the store, I got a horrible experience!!! The staff there are rude! They would ask for extra fee and then never receive my contact lens. Please do not come here!!!

When I first made my appointment they were giving me the run around with giving me information on my insurance all I wanted to know is do you take this insurance yes or no. It took them a week to get back to me on that and that is me having to call them back twice. We went in asking before we do this contact lens and eyeglass exam are the contact lens going to be in before October 22nd they said yes they will. My appointment was on October 1st. On October 15th I called and they said oh sorry they didn’t come in and they will be here on Friday October 21st I called and they were still not in. The reason for this appointment was to get those before a special event. Then a week after the 21st they called to say they were in when I called back I was put on hold for more than 20 minutes. I then tired to make an appointment they kept saying we can’t do the day you want but we have this day and this day open only. Mind you I don’t not live near this location I live an hour away from this place. I really hope Customer service gets back with me to solve this problem oh and I still don’t have my contact lens!!
Ray Stokes: After two examinations and three times fitting for the glasses was never able to see out them. Each time I was there, were at least two people returning glasses second and third times that they could not see out of. For god sakes go somewhere else.

danielle brock: I have been a long time America's Best customer. I have come back mostly for the value not really for the service. I am of the you get what you pay for mind set. With that being said, I was blown away by the service I received from Tim. He went above and beyond explaining, as well as showing, which lens would work best for the style frame I like. I really feel like he tailored the experience to my particular wants and needs. Tim really knows his stuff and is an asset to this location. I hope to work with him in the future!

Nicole Moran: The staff at the front desk was extremely rude and unhelpful. I was the only customer there in the middle of a conversation about figuring out my insurance that I just gotten and hadn't used yet, when a family walked in for their appointments too I was dropped like a hot potato. They never circled back to my insurance and pushed me aside to assist the family when I had a appointment as well (for the same time) and was literally in the middle of speaking to them when they started ignoring me. They insisted my insurance card was not for vision after barely even glancing at it (it is for vision it is bcbs VISION as listed on the card I tried to present). I was then ushered through the rest of the appt without any guidance, ended up paying out of pocket because they did not care to take the 5 minutes it would have taken to actually intake my insurance information that I came prepared with. I should not have paid out of pocket and really should have left right away but really needed glasses as I am literally vision impaired and it is a necessity. Extremely disappointed will never recommend this place to anyone I love and care about.

Emily Li: I came in to ask if my lens could be switched out to another pair of glasses frames I own (since my glasses with my current prescription had the nose pad break). The worker was able to help me for free, unlike Warby Parker who declined switch my lens out. Very friendly and helpful, I would definitely recommend going here for their customer service. They have a nice design inside the store with a variety of neat & organized frames laid out for you to try.
Sandy Bambi: I’m having a pretty bad experience with this location. My daughter’s glasses are fine, but my prescription is off, and I was overcharged. They’ve stopped responding after weeks of phone calls and empty promises which is why I’m leaving this review. I basically paid them over $900 for a set of glasses that don’t work for me, and they’re not being helpful at all. The lady sales person is extremely rude. The guy is nice but nice isn’t helping my purchase or a refund. All I wanted was a cute pair of glasses, and now I’m in a glasses nightmare of hipsterness.
Robert Inman (Rob): I recently visited this location (during a very busy event downtown) staff was very friendly the moment I walked in the door I was greeted by the staff. Paperwork was one page, very easy. Amazing selection of popular and fun frames. Dr Kang was super friendly and made the experience of an eye exam comfortable. Melissa was knowledgeable and explained all the details of the pricing and options available. My glasses came back in a very reasonable amount of time. Will definitely return. This isn't a big-box chain this is a boutique style store which is nice because they have THEIR OWN brand which I've seen on some very famous celebrities so paying a little extra for quality was just fine with me. Definitely will be back and will be recommending to everyone!

So, as I begin to see changes in my field of vision, it was disregarded by optometrists, as it was still ABOVE average. Wow, has the paradigm shifted.My recent appt was with, Terry. Terry LISTENED to my experience and used language that was more investigative. He quantified not just my visual acuity but my experience of seeing. He understood that I didn't need/want average, I wanted what I had lost. We worked together in a way that I have never experienced with an optometrist. Never have I felt so understood and confident that we found a solution. Cannot wait until my new lenses arrive. THANK YOU, TERRY!!!Word to the wise: ask more questions!Sometimes, it isn't as simple as "is 1 better or worse than 2?"For me, we had very subtle and minute adjustments to find the best solutions. Eric J: With two pairs of spectacle lenses, the average price per pair is about $400. The price is on the high side, the speed is very slow, and the service is poor. In the case of rush, it is expected to complete in two weeks and actually exceed three weeks. The clerk said he would send a text message when it was ready, but he didn't. One of the fitted frames has a small amount of white paint-like stain on it, which can be removed with rubbing alcohol.

He helped thoroughly explain some issues I have had with my eye sight and prescribed the best pair of eye glasses for me. The staff at SEE is also fantastic and so wonderful. After going to other providers in the Ann Arbor area, I would say this is the best place to go.

Chris Davis: Never again will I go anywhere else. I literally talked to every worker in the building today and everyone was above and beyond in customer service and friendliness. The lady that checked me out was super knowledgeable and helped me get a deal on the package I wanted. When I returned later that day the lab worker came out to apologize that my order wasn’t done yet as they didn’t have everything they needed to complete my order so she drove to Brighton to get the supplies which put her behind. I was amazed that she went out of her way instead of just blowing me off for another day. I waited for my order and listened to every customer interaction and everyone was treated the same. When my order was done they took their time making sure the frames fit and were comfortable. I got 4 different frames so this took some time, but they never felt rushed or irritated. This staff all deserve some recognition and a raise!!

Andre Lucska: I give Eyeglass world on Ann Arbor-Saline five stars. I been going there for 2 years for my daughter glasses. The staff is awesome and fantastic. The frames selection for kids is very good and they have a variety to choose from. They helped me with my daughter glasses the first time without insurance and tried everything to give me a good deal and when I bought insurance and went there again, they still were amazing and treated me with kindness and care. I been to lensCrafter at briarwood and had a terrible experience there and costed me the double and the lenses kept cracking on the edges of the frames and they kept blaming it on the cleaning solution. I never had that problem with the glasses we bought from Eyeglass world.

Peter South: Big thanks to the staff at Ann Arbor Eyeglass World. My glasses broke last night and I took them in this morning. I had not been a previous customer, but discovered they are one of the only eyeglass companies to do on-site repairs so I went there. They were able to pop out my lenses and put them in new frames in minutes. Great service!! I'll be back for new ones in the future.

Michael Woods: Made appointment for this morning, for myself and my wife, at Ann Arbor location (saline-arbor rd). Two people were being helped. Waited 15 min, and decided to look around. No one acknowledged we were in the store. No signs, but found the doctors area in the back. No one was there but could hear someone in an exam room. When I mention, wish there was a bell or something, out comes a woman. Took my name ( seemed anxious, and tapped her finger. No hello out anything). She replied I would have to reschedule. No way. Can't believe no one greeted us. Seemed like we were ignored. They freaky should have signs where to go for the exams. Water a valuable Saturday morning.

Leslie Evans: I recently had a very bad experience at VisionWorks. I took my son in for an eye exam on June 29th. After placing an order for his glasses I asked the woman assisting us if she could look at my glasses (the arm was very loose and about to fall off). It was near closing time and she took my glasses which were in the eyeglass case put my name and phone number on a post-it note and said they would be repaired and I would receive a call. Nearly 3 weeks later, no call. I tried on 2 occasions to call the store, no answer. I walk in to the store this morning. My glasses are sitting in the same area where she left them when she took them from me nearly 3 weeks ago. She did not apologize but said she would take a look and went to the back. I sat and waited for 30 mins before asking her coworker if he could please have her call me because I needed to get back to work. I did not receive a call and I still do not have my glasses. I'm very disappointed and frustrated at this point. I just want my glasses back.

Scott Brown: Terrible experience. I stopped by to make an eye exam appointment and provided the person at the counter with my insurance info. She didn't recognize the insurance carrier and to be honest, she seemed bothered to try and find out more information. I also showed her where that location was a preferred vendor according to my insurance website. I provided her with a number to the insurance company and finally she called but was put on hold. At that point she hung up on the insurance company and told me "I can't help you". Was incredibly rude and made no effort to ask a few additional questions to assist me or really to make any effort to gain a new customer. Regardless, I went to RX Optical down the road and received excellent service. Would not recommend this location.

The frame selection is excellent and I saw many styles that I had never seen in any other stores - even the larger ones. Reza Amini: Update 2: after two years, I returned to this place, they don't know the special sizes printed on the handle of your glasses. It is very important to wear the right size; otherwise, the prescription does not help when the focal point of lenses will be in some location not matched with your pupils.The width of the frame and length of nose bridge are two important measurements printed on the handle of frames. When someone working there doesn't know this, how can I expect they measure correctly. Another experience with lack of training. Never go back there.UPDATE: I went to the store. The manager, Kelly, apologized for the inconvenience and replaced my damaged frame with a new one. She also checked the measurements on the other pair then made some adjustments. Thank you!ORIGINAL:First of all, I have been wearing eye glasses for 35 years. You can say how many time I have visited eye doctor and changed prescriptions, new glasses. For the first time, I used Visionworks to order only my eye glasses. I had my prescription with me and my doctor is amazing.I just received two pair of my glasses: one for distance and one for computer, progressives. The measurement for my computer is off. I have to look to the right side to see clear, left side is blurry. It is an error in measuring the location of pupils and their distance (horizontal) on the lenses.The distance, was good until the lady tried to adjust the hands for me. She bent them too much without measuring and checking the back of my head. Obviously, it was too tight. She tried to return them to the first position, but this process damaged the handle of my $300 frame.So disappointed that I waited for my new glasses for ten days and I have to spend more time and go in to have them replaced. Not recommend this location. I think there is lack of training and supervision.

Domenica Sweier: Helpful, knowledgeable, and friendly!
Darian Massengill: I went into Pearle Vision after completing my exam elsewhere and shopping for glasses at multiple places where I had mostly terrible experiences. When we walked into the store, someone said hello to us and let us shop which I loved! There was no pressure, I was able to take my time and try on all the frames I liked. Then we left because we had to wait until the next day to make the purchase. I came back the following day and was greeted warmly and helped within a reasonable amount of time even though there were other customers in the store. The manager, Denise, took great care of us and was so polite and professional. We were grateful for the explanation of my benefits and the cost and the discount match she gave us as it was better than the discount my insurance gave me. Overall great experience and I will continue to come here just because Denise takes pride in her store and her job and she is genuinely kind and helpful .

Ahmad Taani: I advice no one to go there… they really scamming people for money. Steeping there for eye exam and they trying to get to buy almost a thousand dollars for glasses with out an eye exam!! And they told me my insurance cover only 140$. When that’s not true. And they told me it’s required to have glare protection and tint when those only are options. That I can chose not required!
Hannah Fuentes: Extremely friendly, helpful, and informative. All staff members were very patient and nice. Excellent selection of frames with very straightforward and transparent pricing. Dr. Juang is wonderful! She was able to detect a possible issue early on and was very good about explaining everything in an approachable way. So happy to have found a new go to optometrist. Natalya Stelson: I have been a client of Perl vision for many years (since 2011). I all the time was highly satisfied with their service. But last 4-5 years, the Brierwood location in Ann Arbor, Michigan, when I visited them, insisted that I don't have insurance. I have it, and it worked everywhere except the Brierwood location. Today was the same story. I gave a valid insurance card, but they still didn't have the information. When I asked to check one more time clerk was rude and then blamed me for the redness. She didn't let me finish; she just said "bye-bye." And turn away from me. I came today because of my eyes' inflammation and becausethe last prescribed glasses didn't fit me. I was thrown out of the office. They refused to provide me with medical care.I don't care what this clerk will say about the situation. During our conversation, she already put the responsibility on me. I want to warn other clients about that woman. If you have troubles, you will be sent away.I am sad I have to leave this provider because of one person.

Jennifer Haigh: This is a great place to get glasses. I brought a prescription for bi-focals to them, as they were so expensive at my ophthalmologist. They were a third of the price at Pearle Vision and the frames were better. My ophthalmologists prescription was written incorrectly but Pearle Vision replaced the lenses free of charge even though it wasn’t their mistake.

Aditya Deshpande: I went to get the routine eye exam and contact lens prescription which was supposed to be covered but they charged me for performing "premium" exam which isn't covered without telling me the costs beforehand. I didn't not consent to whatever "premium" exam they performed. I definitely do not recommend this place.
Vic Kostrubsky: Great service. Amy was very helpful, identified the same type of frame to replace the broken frame under the warranty. I purchased it only several months ago and getting new was nice. Thank you.

Sandy Jones: UPDATE: I am still trying to get my prescription and contacts ordered. I got a phone 3 days ago from Pearle Vision. It turns out the new contacts I was going to try are made to order and it's difficult to get trials of. I wish I didn't have to wait a month to find that out. They said they would call me back the next day with my finalized prescription so I could order my contacts. Unfortunately they did not call me back as promised. Looks like I will have to call again.Although I've been coming here for years, I will not be coming back here again. I had an appointment a month ago. It cost $200 just for the exam and fitting. They said they would order me sample contacts to try and it would be 1-2 weeks before they were in. It has now been a month and I have not received any phone calls. I have called multiple times and left a message with no response. They didn't email my receipts or my prescription like they usually do. Thankfully Dr. Juang printed out the report and took pictures with her phone and sent it to me because I needed to see an opthamologist who diagnosed me with an operculated retinal hole that was there 2 years ago but Dr. Juang is the first optometrist to alert me of a possible ptoblem. The last time I was there they also screwed up and didn't order my contacts but since I had been going there for so long I thought I'd give them another try but this is the last straw.
