Emily Li: I came in to ask if my lens could be switched out to another pair of glasses frames I own (since my glasses with my current prescription had the nose pad break). The worker was able to help me for free, unlike Warby Parker who declined switch my lens out. Very friendly and helpful, I would definitely recommend going here for their customer service. They have a nice design inside the store with a variety of neat & organized frames laid out for you to try.
Sandy Bambi: I’m having a pretty bad experience with this location. My daughter’s glasses are fine, but my prescription is off, and I was overcharged. They’ve stopped responding after weeks of phone calls and empty promises which is why I’m leaving this review. I basically paid them over $900 for a set of glasses that don’t work for me, and they’re not being helpful at all. The lady sales person is extremely rude. The guy is nice but nice isn’t helping my purchase or a refund. All I wanted was a cute pair of glasses, and now I’m in a glasses nightmare of hipsterness.
Robert Inman (Rob): I recently visited this location (during a very busy event downtown) staff was very friendly the moment I walked in the door I was greeted by the staff. Paperwork was one page, very easy. Amazing selection of popular and fun frames. Dr Kang was super friendly and made the experience of an eye exam comfortable. Melissa was knowledgeable and explained all the details of the pricing and options available. My glasses came back in a very reasonable amount of time. Will definitely return. This isn't a big-box chain this is a boutique style store which is nice because they have THEIR OWN brand which I've seen on some very famous celebrities so paying a little extra for quality was just fine with me. Definitely will be back and will be recommending to everyone!

So, as I begin to see changes in my field of vision, it was disregarded by optometrists, as it was still ABOVE average. Wow, has the paradigm shifted.My recent appt was with, Terry. Terry LISTENED to my experience and used language that was more investigative. He quantified not just my visual acuity but my experience of seeing. He understood that I didn't need/want average, I wanted what I had lost. We worked together in a way that I have never experienced with an optometrist. Never have I felt so understood and confident that we found a solution. Cannot wait until my new lenses arrive. THANK YOU, TERRY!!!Word to the wise: ask more questions!Sometimes, it isn't as simple as "is 1 better or worse than 2?"For me, we had very subtle and minute adjustments to find the best solutions. It took some time for me to understand what I was seeing. ...~"Okay, this one has a bit of a shadow, this one is a bit brighter but it causes me to strain, this one feels comfortable."We really believe in supporting our community and local business owners... this experience is why we are proud to do so.

Also friendly and personable service - overall outstanding! I am happy I found this place.
Eric J: With two pairs of spectacle lenses, the average price per pair is about $400. The price is on the high side, the speed is very slow, and the service is poor. In the case of rush, it is expected to complete in two weeks and actually exceed three weeks. The clerk said he would send a text message when it was ready, but he didn't. One of the fitted frames has a small amount of white paint-like stain on it, which can be removed with rubbing alcohol.
Lauren Petty: See Eyewear was great to work with! I was having a problem getting in anywhere without having to wait at least three weeks. See was able to see me within two days of when I walked in. Everyone was very friendly and extremely helpful from the exam to picking out a pair of frames!

Wendy Lawrence: I always LOVED this place, but had an extra good experience lately--the new owner is so amazing and helpful. And the new eye doctor there was awesome. I've had glasses since I was a kid so I know eye appointments, and this one was extra nice and he was extra helpful, even gave me tips for my contacts I hadn't heard before so I ended up with a new kind that I like a lot better and also gave me tips for dry eyes no one ever told me before (despite me bringing it up a lot) that seem to work. Really really impressed with them.

Love how they sanitize their frames in between customer try-ons too. I cannot say enough kind things about Melissa the manager. She is extremely customer-service oriented, knowledgeable and helpful. SEE"s COVID-19 protocols are reassuring. The store is immaculate and very clean. I've been a client for years and in the past only purchased glasses. I couldn't get a timely appointment with my current doctor, so I decided to try Dr. Johnson. I'm glad I did. He's very knowledgeable and alleviated some of my concerns regarding aging and one's eyes. After seeing Dr. Johnson, April helped me pick out some cool specs. All of this occurred while listening to a tremendous old-school playlist of music.
muneebah vaid: Spoke to April numerous times who knows what she is doing! She was very competent, handled my order professionally, and even had my order ready one week before I needed it. I am amazed by this level of service and I highly recommend See eyewear. Ask for April, she's amazing!!I placed my order over the phone, and didn't even need to go to the store. Any problems we did run into, she offered me numerous solutions. April knows exactly what she is doing.

Chris Davis: Never again will I go anywhere else. I literally talked to every worker in the building today and everyone was above and beyond in customer service and friendliness. The lady that checked me out was super knowledgeable and helped me get a deal on the package I wanted. When I returned later that day the lab worker came out to apologize that my order wasn’t done yet as they didn’t have everything they needed to complete my order so she drove to Brighton to get the supplies which put her behind. I was amazed that she went out of her way instead of just blowing me off for another day. I waited for my order and listened to every customer interaction and everyone was treated the same. When my order was done they took their time making sure the frames fit and were comfortable. I got 4 different frames so this took some time, but they never felt rushed or irritated. This staff all deserve some recognition and a raise!!

Andre Lucska: I give Eyeglass world on Ann Arbor-Saline five stars. I been going there for 2 years for my daughter glasses. The staff is awesome and fantastic. The frames selection for kids is very good and they have a variety to choose from. They helped me with my daughter glasses the first time without insurance and tried everything to give me a good deal and when I bought insurance and went there again, they still were amazing and treated me with kindness and care. I been to lensCrafter at briarwood and had a terrible experience there and costed me the double and the lenses kept cracking on the edges of the frames and they kept blaming it on the cleaning solution. I never had that problem with the glasses we bought from Eyeglass world.

This has disrupted my return to my southern vacation, and a day of dad and daughter time I’m extremely disappointed with the way things have gone! If they had told me there were problems with lab staffing, I would have went elsewhere but did not disclose this until the bill was paid, here it is Friday and still! ( STILL) not ready ! If you’re needing same day service do not go to eyeglass world in Ann Arbor Michigan!
Peter South: Big thanks to the staff at Ann Arbor Eyeglass World. My glasses broke last night and I took them in this morning. I had not been a previous customer, but discovered they are one of the only eyeglass companies to do on-site repairs so I went there. They were able to pop out my lenses and put them in new frames in minutes. Great service!! I'll be back for new ones in the future.

He was able to find new frames on the shelf that fit my lenses and apply a warranty that technically was on my other pair to get me out the door with a complete new working frame for literally nothing. I work gig jobs and am very tight on money right now, so it was greatly appreciated, and why I will be coming back.
Michael Woods: Made appointment for this morning, for myself and my wife, at Ann Arbor location (saline-arbor rd). Two people were being helped. Waited 15 min, and decided to look around. No one acknowledged we were in the store. No signs, but found the doctors area in the back. No one was there but could hear someone in an exam room. When I mention, wish there was a bell or something, out comes a woman. Took my name ( seemed anxious, and tapped her finger. No hello out anything). She replied I would have to reschedule. No way. Can't believe no one greeted us. Seemed like we were ignored. They freaky should have signs where to go for the exams. Water a valuable Saturday morning.

Stephen Sullivan: TLDR: Extremely difficult appointment scheduling / contact process for the Kellogg Eye Center Optical Shop. To be seen initially, you have to schedule an appointment out several months in advance. I even had the frames already and just needed to have the prescription filled and it took 2 months for an available appointment. After that initial appointment, it took 3 weeks for my glasses to be ready for pick up. Then I had to wait another 3 days for a scheduled pick-up appointment to be available. During my pick-up appointment, I noticed the prescription was off and my long distance vision was blurry. The optician told me to wear them for a week and see if my eyes simply "adjusted." Shockingly, my eyes have not adjusted and now I'm trying to schedule a re-working of the prescription and I'm looking at another week out to be seen. Also the secretarial staff rarely answers the phone during posted business hours so have fun leaving voicemails. Maybe I'll have a new pair of glasses that I can see with by 2022? Go to Costco and save yourself the headache.
John Williams: We moved out of A2 several years ago, but our new provider dropped Davis Vision & would not honor our warranty. Larry contacted Davis and took care of the problem. We are very pleased, and highly recommend the KEC Optical Shop for your eyewear needs.

Zei Lou: worst experience ever! had a lazik/ corrective surgery by a resident 3 years ago. until today, i still suffer from severe dryness and discomfort due to surgery. i often wake up with eyes shut and painful to open due to dryness. they kept having me go back and try different drops but non made a difference. I was frustrated, spent so much money on copays, drops, prescription, gas but no cure. staff were rude, and didn't care as i should've know its a side effect. the older doctor was the only nice gentleman and seemed to care but i had to try few other doctors as i was desperate for help and still no cure. I've spent more money on drops and prescription than the surgery. one prescription costs $200 and they had to take blood from me to create it. Now i'm left with pain and discomfort and extra expenses for the rest of my life. i love uofm but i will not step in kellogg Ann Arbor eye center again.
R F: Just to pick up my glasses it took 45 minutes wait time. You are suppose to sign in and they go in order which is fair but pick ups shouldn’t take that long and a lot of the technicians were chatting with each other in the back which is fine but when you see 10 plus people waiting to be served please be a little more mindful.

Lena Jordan: They were very helpful and friendly when I called ad well as when we were in their location. We arrived 30 minutes before closing and had forgotten to bring the original prescription we had obtained at a different facility. They allowed us to proceed through as much of the ordering as we could and then offered to follow up with our prescribing optometrist the next day to finalize. I can't express just how pleased I am with the service we received.

Lauretta Codrington: I wont be using SVS again nor will i tell my friends about it. They meased up my order. I tried to get readers into my frames and when my glasses came back they had the same lenses as when they were sent away. I did not notice until months later. When I came to have to matter resolved they made such a fuss. The did not own up to the mistake until after repeates visits and my insistance that something was wrong and the glasses were not readers that I ordered. Finally when they were convinced they sent the frames off to have my old prescription, not even a new prescription even though my eyes were one year older. They insisted that I was outside of the return time frame. Exhausted with the matter I agreed for them to put my old reader prescription into the frames. In other words try again to provide me with readers. They sent my frames off and I get a call saying the lab broke my frames. So not only do I not get readers, but my frames are broke and the waiver says I am not allowed ask for repayment for my frames. As a result, they never delivered my glasses. They were paid by the insurance company. They refunded my portion but said there is nothing They can do about the insurance payment since it happened a year ago. Nope I won't be using SVS.

Elizabeth LaCroix: Dr. Stacey is lovely but the constant sales pitches are exhausting. Until recently I was a patient/customer at a LensCrafters location in another city, and the experience was vastly better there. For one thing, this location upcharges you to do a back of the eye retinal scan, which was always included at no added charge in the pre appointment pre screen at the other location. It was a bit of a shock to have the upcharge and then no information shared about whether insurance would cover it. Then when checking out I had to say at least four or five times that I did not want any frames. I walked out of there feeling really drained. I’m going to find a new eye doctor. The convenience of going to LensCrafters for an optometrist visit no longer outweighs the fact that they’re a seller of marked-up frames first, medical provider second.

Karrie Schultz: I came in on a Tuesday afternoon. The store was very busy and I was in a pinch and hoping someone could help me. My contact had ripped and I was waiting for my order from another retailer to arrive. That retailer also happened to be closed that day for business so Lens Crafters was the only other option near me that could save the day, and did they ever. Senay took the time to look at my script and offer samples for me to take home free of charge. I offered ot buy for them since I technically wasn't their customer but Senay reassured me it was not an issue. After this interaction, I am strongly considering switching. to coming here for all my eye care needs. Senay went above and beyond to take care of me. I honestly can't remember the last time I had such an amazing customer service interaction. In short, there obviously is a reason why this location was busy the day of my visit, the service is impeccable and I would highly recommend Lens Crafter to anyone I know.

Eli Maurer: Trash! Been going here for years and every pair of glasses I’ve got even ray bans have always come defected! I asked for a new pair once but never got anything so I just gave up and took what I got. My final straw was when I went in and asked for a trial pair of contacts but they couldn’t even give me that! Even after years and years of being a customer! I’ll take my business to svs down the road! Place should be called America’s Worst! Would give 0 stars if I could!

Mohammad Nimer: I had been going to this location ever since I was a kid and never met a nicer person to help me with my prescription. Rebecca Hoff saw me 9:30am and was amazingly energetic. She was easily the best I’ve had test me for a new prescription. Showed me pictures of my eyes and what she saw when looking at them to help me understand to make the best decision. She didn’t ask for this review and I rarely write them. Definitely will ask to have her see me next time I come in.
Maxwell James: Why would you go to a huge chain that doesn’t even staff real doctors to handle the situation where their cheap, poor quality contact lenses (also produced by AB!) become stuck in the patient’s eye? There are a lot of small practices in the area who do staff real doctors and actually care about their patient’s experience. You should go to those places instead of this one.
Dennis Paquette: Every time I come in I go directly to Tim. He has helped me out countless times and is always extremely accommodating, polite, and professional. If you come to this place I suggest you ask for Tim. I will be returning here to deal with him specifically. Thank Tim, I appreciate you buddy.
Kay Dee: I had to call multiple times and go in four times to get a correct prescription for contacts. Poor customer service, no promised call backs, rude front desk. Won’t be using again since I can’t trust them to write the right numbers on my prescription
Bex Marie: I’ve been a long standing customer since I was a child and my parents brought me here. I recently came back and got both my contact and glasses exam here, preformed by Dr. Hoff. Let me start out by saying Dr. Hoff was absolutely incredible, probably the best doctor I have seen for my vision. She was informative, friendly, professionally comedic, I absolutely loved being seen by her! After my exams Tim helped me out with getting my contacts. Tim was also extremely knowledgable, helpful and you can tell he strives to make anyone who walks through their doors comfortable and feel as if they matter to him and the business. Thank you Ryan, for being awesome and having such a great team!
Yanjun Li: The Worst eyecare store ever!!! Took eye exam and order contact lens in the store, I got a horrible experience!!! The staff there are rude! They would ask for extra fee and then never receive my contact lens. Please do not come here!!!
Leticia Alvarez: I WILL NEVER GO TO THIS LOCATION AGAIN!! When I first made my appointment they were giving me the run around with giving me information on my insurance all I wanted to know is do you take this insurance yes or no. It took them a week to get back to me on that and that is me having to call them back twice. We went in asking before we do this contact lens and eyeglass exam are the contact lens going to be in before October 22nd they said yes they will. My appointment was on October 1st. On October 15th I called and they said oh sorry they didn’t come in and they will be here on Friday October 21st I called and they were still not in. The reason for this appointment was to get those before a special event. Then a week after the 21st they called to say they were in when I called back I was put on hold for more than 20 minutes. I then tired to make an appointment they kept saying we can’t do the day you want but we have this day and this day open only. Mind you I don’t not live near this location I live an hour away from this place. I really hope Customer service gets back with me to solve this problem oh and I still don’t have my contact lens!!
Ray Stokes: After two examinations and three times fitting for the glasses was never able to see out them. Each time I was there, were at least two people returning glasses second and third times that they could not see out of. For god sakes go somewhere else.

Private: I love working with Ashley! She helps me with all my contact orders. She even took the time to help me navigate the americas best contacts & eyeglasses website. Now I can save time by order from home. If you need help with the website ask for Ashley. She is awesome!I also love working with Dr Rebecca Hoff! She is thorough. She does a great job of explaining technical terms. Dr. Hoff prides herself in making sure the patient understands the reason for procedures and the health of my eyes. Thank you!
danielle brock: I have been a long time America's Best customer. I have come back mostly for the value not really for the service. I am of the you get what you pay for mind set. With that being said, I was blown away by the service I received from Tim. He went above and beyond explaining, as well as showing, which lens would work best for the style frame I like. I really feel like he tailored the experience to my particular wants and needs. Tim really knows his stuff and is an asset to this location. I hope to work with him in the future!

Nicole Moran: The staff at the front desk was extremely rude and unhelpful. I was the only customer there in the middle of a conversation about figuring out my insurance that I just gotten and hadn't used yet, when a family walked in for their appointments too I was dropped like a hot potato. They never circled back to my insurance and pushed me aside to assist the family when I had a appointment as well (for the same time) and was literally in the middle of speaking to them when they started ignoring me. They insisted my insurance card was not for vision after barely even glancing at it (it is for vision it is bcbs VISION as listed on the card I tried to present). I was then ushered through the rest of the appt without any guidance, ended up paying out of pocket because they did not care to take the 5 minutes it would have taken to actually intake my insurance information that I came prepared with. I should not have paid out of pocket and really should have left right away but really needed glasses as I am literally vision impaired and it is a necessity. Extremely disappointed will never recommend this place to anyone I love and care about.

Rx Mi: Had to get glasses today and had the best experience. The manager DiAnnaa was amazing and helpful. I wear prisms and DiAnnaa knew everything there is to know about the correct frames for prisms. She and Jyotkirn were super efficient and professional. Thank You ladies for a great eyeglass buying experience.
