Jonathan Fellows: Chapel Hill is one of the best-kept secrets in Ann Arbor, and my family is SO GLAD we discovered it! Clean, safe, and friendly.We first rented here to try out the neighborhood and Logan Elementary School before buying. About 1.5 years later, we bought after confirming what a warm and family-friendly neighborhood it was, and we've been here five years. Very happy with Logan teachers, staff, and families.Chapel Hill's location with easy on/easy off access to highway US-23 has made my commute to work SO much easier. There is so much within a 10-min walk. It's about a 2-min walk to the clubhouse with pool, sauna, fitness center, and beautiful, newly-renovated, handicap-accessible, 1st-floor ballroom and bathrooms. 10-min walk to Busch's and Plum Market (like Whole Foods), passing the post office on the way.Speaking of the pool... It's an outdoor pool with lifeguards, olympic-length (50-yard) lanes for exercise, a dedicated shallow area for small kids, and a dedicated 9-foot area for cannonballs and such. :-) It hosts a swim team (so convenient) that helped my kids develop from timid to confident swimmers during our first summer here. My wife and I enjoy chatting with neighbors around the water.Speaking of neighbors... they're so friendly. We've hosted neighbors over 100 times at our home (no exaggeration) between the unit we rented and the one we bought, so we know a bunch of 'em. I really think you get what you put into it when it comes to a friendly neighborhood. If you want a friendly neighborhood, be friendly, and you'll discover the great folks at Chapel Hill.The HOA board and management staff seem to really care about the upkeep and curb appeal of the facilities and grounds. When we were renting, our landlord was SLOW to address *internal* maintenance issues (e.g., leaking pipe), but the Chapel Hill maintenance crew QUICKLY fixed *external* maintenance requests (e.g., fence gate latch, clearing a backed up roof gutter, fixing a damaged dryer vent cover).I've never lived anywhere with a more-invested HOA board than here at Chapel Hill. In fact, I enjoy this community so much, I just joined the 9-member board a month ago to see how I can help further. The monthly board meetings are open to any residents to support good two-way communication with folks.For instance, hearing residents' requests for an electric vehicle (EV) chager and recognizing the anticipated need, Chapel Hill was only the 2nd condo association in Ann Arbor to install an EV charger for residents. Also, when it snows, I've found that the office will text everyone clear directions about when to move vehicles so lots can be snow plowed when necessary. Our general manager (Kate) really works hard serving our community. There's always room for improvement, but the staff team does many things well.I saw a 4-year-old review that criticized the HOA board and staff. Maybe there was a legit concern to address there at the time. There has been new management since then. But, consider this... The board and staff are the ones who do all of the “dirty work” for the association. They enforce the rules, make people pay fines, request assessments, and more. All of these are things that homeowners supposedly want the HOA to do, since they bought a home inside the HOA. However, when that applies to them, they can interpret the experience as negative even when the staff are simply doing their job.The north side of Ann Arbor has experienced periodic thefts of property out of unlocked vehicles (e.g., loose coins taken from a console), and Chapel Hill has not been immune. That said, in five years here, I don't personally know of anyone whose vehicle or home was broken into or stolen. I think it's quite safe. Just lock up your car. My $0.02 worth!

BC Wells: This is an updated review. There have been changes to the Chapel Hill condo management staff. The new team is responsive, proactive, and caring. Very happy here!

Becky White: Not a place to live with children. Frequent Crime (day and night). Cars have been broken into, multiple times. Has a horrible HOA (home owner's association)... cant say one good thing about this neighborhood or how it is run.

S Pintero: Like our rep who really does care and tries. The Company itself does not even approach professional. Records are stored in boxes strewn about the office making it nearly impossible for them to find documents when needed. No one EVER, EVER, EVER answers the phone or returns messages. Appears zero investment to ensure equipment their team members use remains reliable and up to date. Hopeful at some point our community with walk away from these folks. Perhaps they are a bit cheaper (don't know) than others but in this case, you get what you pay for. Take a pass on this one.

Pretty Nifty Gifts: Unable and unwilling to answer basic questions asked of him. Does not provide HOA documents when requested by owners. Unprepared for meetings. Zero confidence in accurate record keeping. Stay aware from this company if you can or vote him out as fast as you can.

James Dong: I am one of the new owners. I had the same horrible experience as others. Sent repair request, but never get back to me. Have to keep on calling them to push them to take the actions. Over one month past, nothing has been done. Let's take the effort to attend the next HOA meeting and vote to replace them.

Sue Thomas: Mark the owner is absolutely unqualified to be in the position as a contact for a management for a condo association. He has aligned himself with HAOs needs and done nothing for the peoples who pay his fees. He doesn’t stand up to HOA and refuses to answer owners questions. He misses Monthly meetings that he should be in charge of . He has refused to allow us to look at records that are legally protected for us to see. I hope he understands the legal ramifications he has played him self right into.please don’t participate with this company. As they have no sense of intelligence to even be a reliable advisory.

Danny Smiddy: They keep your records in a box..and if you have a question forget about it..they probably won't get back with you.... won't let you look at your records...as per the Michigan condo act.... I wouldn't let them manage a sandbox....

Frank M: Critical:Professionalism,Quality,ResponsivenessThey don't respond to email or phone messages no matter what the issue or how many attempts. All they do is collect your HOA dues, that's it, otherwise it's just a shell of a company.

Nancy Merrihew: I really didn’t want to give them 1star! They do not take care of anything but have no problem collecting our HOA payments. $275.00 for nothing! Phase 3 is looking ghetto. I want to sell my condo because of this! I will not be able to sell my condo for the price it’s worth because of the condition EXPI has allowed! Where is our money going....their pockets I’m sure!

Esteban Camacho: This place doesn't respond to calls or emails. I am trying to pay my homeowners insurance dues and they won't respond and tell me where to send the money.... I would not recommend them at all.
