YP Sichuan: what do users think?
Lilly Mei: I'm shocked that this place isn't more popular since it's possibly the best authentic Chinese food in the broader area. My parents who are Chinese found this restaurant on Yelp and I've been here a handful of times ever since. It's been a hit with many of my non-Chinese friends too! The service has been good every time I've been there. My favorite dish is the "squirrel shaped fish" with the vinegar sauce; the orange sweet and sour sauce is good too, but for me the vinegar sauce is just awesome. The cumin lamb here is really good, and all of their cold noodles are very good and popular with my friends. They have a sichuan style spicy fish soup that's super good. If you don't do spice, the almond chicken is another good one.So I would recommend going with a group and sharing food family style and maybe even asking the staff for authentic recs if the food I've listed above doesn't appeal to you. I always leave this place stuffed, great restaurant!
Jesse Ray: Very average tasting food, the crab Rangoons were small and expensive aka a rip off and also the lady didn’t even give me what I ordered
Brenda K: Bring your hard earned money somewhere else, the owner is unbelievably beyond rude and does not appreciate her long term customer. Went there to eat, no greetings at all from the owner when we entered, just tilted her head to signal us to seat after I told her 3 ppl. Told us waitress was sick when she came over to take he order. The whole time we were there, she just brought out the dishes, and came over once and see if we need more hot tea, no smiles, no chit chat, whatever. After we were done with dinner, went to pay at counter, she pointed at the credit card slip and said sign here and tip right here, I was like OK that was more like a demand, so I didn't put anything on credit card, but decided to put down $5 cash on the table, the total bill was $60. She came over, reached for the cash right in front of us, and said "only $5, it was a $60 bill". We were shocked, absolutely shocked at her rude behaviour. We been patronizing her restaurant since it first opened and frequent it about twice a month, even during the pandemic lockdowns, we would order carry-outs, couldn't believe how she treats a loyal customer, and we always tipped the waitresses well. I told her the reason that we only left $5 was because there was hardly any service, not even a friendly greeting, tip is not something you are owed, it's something you'd have to earn thru good service. I also said that you are the owner of the restaurant, your income is from the food you sell, not from tips, it's your own business, it's only normal for you to bring out the dishes if the waitress is sick, do you expect customers to go the kitchen and serve themselves? And get this, she said yeah you should serve yourself, I said then you should've opened a buffet instead. It was almost like her focus was all on the tip and nothing else. She just lost a long term regular, keep up the good work and that business is not gonna last long with that kind of attitude.

Tonya: Scallion lamb does not have scallions. It’s full of white onions with very little amount of spring onions. It also don’t have any wok hei, which was the main reason I ordered this dish. With 18 dollars I was expecting more meat than onionsHot and sour soup more on the sweet side and want sour enough. But worth the priceRice is goodWould have given four star, but I thought the restaurant is a bit overrated on google
Tatiana Worthy: A person and I ordered takeout. Specifically the Kung Pao Chicken Lunch Special and Shrimp with Vegetable Lunch Special.Everything tasted "Meh". My expectations of spicy chicken weren't met. The menu gave it a spice level of one, but it didn't taste hot. Also, our rice wasn't good at all. Rather, the fried rice tasted like soap. Nothing particularly tasted fresh or flavorful. Maybe they had a rough day. I don't know. Our food could've been better.
Tasha Vanmeter: Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5Recommended dishes Orange Chicken, Steamed Dumplings, Sweet and Sour ChickenMore
Terrance W. Hinton: The dining room is well organized and put together. Clean, polished, and stacked.Because its location is at one of the local intersections outside of downtown Ypsilanti, anyone can simply enjoy the view of traffic while dining. As I look over the menu, I noticed some of the many exotic food items that were available. You'll have to see the menu for yourself to understand what I mean. But, I am not that adventurous, so I ordered what I know I would eat.The food was kinda so so! Barely any significant flavorings, the egg roll was stuffed with only beansprouts and, again, no significant flavor to tickle the taste buds.•cleanliness, service, and view...3 thumbs out of 8👍🏿👍🏿👍🏿
Lawrence Hendricks: Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5Recommended dishes 酸辣汤 中辣 hot and sour soup moderately spicyMore
Odette Pantoja: Wow this place certainly has a unique menu with authentic dishes. If you are looking for spicy flavorful foods this is the place for you. Aaron Belknap: Don't order the hot pot. My wife and I were craving some hot pot. I called and they told me that it would be authentic Chinese Sichuan hot pot, truly mala they said. They lied. It had maybe 5 Sichuan peppercorns in the whole pot. It had some la to it, but was basically flavorless. Hot pot should be full of flavor and this was just water with some chiles and 5 Sichuan peppercorns. Also, despite speaking Chinese with them, they brought me a fork and spoon to eat hot pot with... I guess because I didn't look like I was capable of using chop sticks. Terribly disappointing meal.
Ryan R: Hellz ya! Don't read Chinese or whatever language it is but the pictures will provide you enough for some awesome grub. Standard wonton soup, the sweet and sour got great reviews! Akshita Bhopal: Food is ok but my biggest complaint is with the management. They got my order wrong 4 times in-spite of me double checking and making sure they have got the order right. Absolutely rude staff

Chia Shiang Restaurant: what do users think?
Kamran Diba: Previously this is was an excellent restaurant. However the ownership changed and the quality dropped significantly. The food is not bad, but not quite the authentic Szechuan perfectly spiced dishes as before. They also forgot to give us any rice in our take-out order, so not very good attention to detail.
DD Chen: They have some authentic Shanghai food, which are not on the menu, your have ask for itFood: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5Recommended dishes Shrimp Lo Mein, Chicken Lo Mein, Vegan Orange Beef, Sizzling Tofu Vegan …More
Aidar Utiamishev: Worst place to goUpdate: the owner replied that I’m a scam, but I’m not 😄 their dining area is still closed, I had a puck up and food was awful 😣Recommended dishes Orange Chicken, Spicy Chicken, Pot, Fried Rice …More
Jae Eun: Amazing food! Best chinese I had in Ann Arbor. I had the pork intestine hot pot
Kim Kim: The owner of the restaurant claimed that he is going to kill/abandon his dog. Do not come here!!!!
Jennifer Blacke: Chia Shiang did an amazing job with our large catering order yesterday. They were super helpful when I placed the order a couple weeks ago, taking the time to help me select dishes and figure out how much to get for our crowd of ten. All the food was ready on time and they helped me load it into the car. And it was so good! Truly delicious. Everyone loved it, especially the zucchini stir fry with egg.
Zhen Zhang: Very tasty and I will be back
Wild style Lin: It’s very sad that he claimed the previous owner(Mr. Pang) learned cooking on YouTube, but cooked way better than the “pro cooking school” current chef. And the owner doesn’t want to believe it even though everyone said “the old Chia Shiang” is gone. If you cannot carry the name and reputation of Chia Shiang, please just change the name you are insulting it, which an “you-called amateur” chef have built.
Dean Kung: Take out only so far. Tufu with crab was excellent as always.
Vincent Chang: Delicious, I usually order for delivery, sometimes Chowbus is busy and I pick up the food instead. Always good and will be back.
thomas ganley: Best chinese restaurant in Ann Arbor, by far.
Dan Negrin: This used to be a good restaurant. Alas, no longer. Out of the three dishes in our take out order, one was barely edible and two were just nasty. Especially disappointed with the Sichuan boiled beef which was truly foul.Never. Going. Back.
Yawei Chen: 椒麻鸡不错,老板也很nice
Wendy Tang: My always go-to place for spicy Chinese food!! Very authentic
T Brown: Customer service was excellent food was so delicious and fresh I ordered the. Chicken Lo mein I will definitely order from this restaurant again!!
Jarred Howard: Vegetarians or vegans stay clear. They don't know and don't care about meat broth in their sauces (typical for a lot of recipes); seems to be a don't ask, don't tell policy for that.EDIT: There you have it, straight from the owner. Small businesses can't cater to everyone so there are other options if you don't wanna eat animals in Ann Arbor. I'm sure the menu is lovely if you don't care about that.
Nicky Ja: Food was very greasy and staff was very rude, bad experience.
Robin: Trop de huile! Il n’y a pas de carrots dans la 鱼香肉丝 .
Edward Yao: Very very real and delicious Chinese food. The Food makes me emotional
Shirley Chen: If you enjoy spicy food, I highly recommend the Xinjiang style spicy chicken and spicy shrimp in hot pot. Yum.The portions are more than generous. I ordered 4 dishes and they can easily feed 8 adults. This is not the typical Americanized Chinese restaurant. People recognize that and celebrate the uniqueness. That’s something I love about Ann Arbor.
Xiu Zhou: Had take out last night, food is delicious.

Pannaphat Scott: 🌟 5 Stars for sure! If you looking for Hot Pot (This one not the one that you cook by your self) I recommend here. They have couples to choose from if single pot they have Beef, Frog legs (my favorite), not sure for chicken you can choose soup or dry hot pot spicy or not and Fish hotpot is the one you can pick individual things to add to your pot and pick your soup base then they will cook up in the back then bring the giant hot pot to your table. This time we order whole duck with 2 style make sure to order 2 style so basically you will get the meat part to wrap and eat with sauce and what ever meat that left from slice with the bone they will sautéed with salt and pepper to serve which is really good as well. I been to Hot Pot Chen many times but I think this time they have new server I forget to ask his name he explain and help us with the menu a lot.Overall this last visit is amazing great food good service! ☺️👍🏻✨
yuli young: Front desk was rude with bad attitude !! Food was awful!! Never go there again!!
Cynthia: Food was so good! I recommend trying the authentic Chinese dishes. Shirley the server was also very sweet, attentive, and she gave us very good service. This place is a hidden gem!
Claire Minneboo: I was so excited to go eat lunch here with my daughter, but ended up having such a terrible experience, that this is on the do not return list. I asked 4 times for hot tea, but I was ignored by two servers. When they finally brought it, it was more like hot water( definitely not tea) the dumplings were cold, rubbery, and looked microwaved. I finally had enough and left, as we had only drank water. The waitress chased us to our car to tell us our food was done. Yeah food I don't want at this point. Sad, seemed we were treated differently because we are white..
Jai B: Chill staff and the food is incredible. Tons of variety and flavor

Very slow and I had to get up multiple times to ask for water or other items. My daughter's food never came until I went to the bartender to ask for it. I think they just forgot about us. Again the door overall was tasty. I hope the service issues get resolved because I would eat there again if they fixed it.
HUIMIN WANG: Recommended dishes Grilled Whole FishMore
Zikun Wang: Had a blast celebrating my friend’s birthday!! The waitress was super helpful and engaging to talk to, would recommend!! The food was also really good, highly recommend the fried tofu, super soft and tender on the inside with a crispy outer layer.

Jessica Qian: Forgot to take photos but food was really good! We got the scallion pancakes, beef noodles, shrimp dumplings, and garlic short ribs. The food was well seasoned and the servers were very nice. The decor is also nice. If you don’t like spice just make sure to ask about spice level!
Barb K: I have eaten at Hot Pot Chen for years and find their food tasty. I often order take out and I am pleased that they have the food prepared in a timely manner. The restaurant is being re-modeled and looks great. I recommend the food to anyone looking for authentic Chinese fare.
Ray Bas: We tried the hot fish and it was prepared very well. We had the non spicy and it was sour and sweat.

Tonya: Recommend minced pork rice and salt pepper chicken. They should be pretty authentic. The stinky tofu was not what I expected. It’s so hard and dry both inside and outside and it doesn’t have much stinky taste. I don’t know why it’s more expensive than the other two items.I like that they provided hot teaEnded up paying 40 dollars for these three dishes incl. tax and service fee.
Frau Bischof: Restaurante pequeno, comida muito boa, atendimento rápido e pessoal e simpático.Kid-friendliness: Eu estava com crianças e correu tudo bem
Clayton Blackwell: Fantastic food and great service
Tyler Campbell: Use caution: posted hours don’t reflect actual work ethic. We were told only take out available at 8:20 on a Friday evening.
Zhiyuan Sun: Honestly not happy with their 18% default tip given their bad service
Laura: Generally authentic Chinese food but with more black pepper flavour. Like the tea
rex: Excellent experience. Went in for Chinese New Year and it was relatively packed but I came in with a party of 2 and was seated immediately. There is an extensive paper menu with many specialty dishes. The only gripe I had was that there were no pictures so it was hard to tell what exactly some dishes were without a picture or description. The waitress, however, suggested the Chicken w/ Basil and the Spicy Fish Filet w/ Mustard Green & Tofu; they were excellent picks. The chicken was incredibly flavorful and the basil added a distinctive flavor to it that paired really well. The fish didn't really have a kick to it, but it tasted flavorful. (I wasn't looking for a very spicy dish in the first place). We both got a complimentary bowl of rice to pair with these entrees. Also ordered the Chinese Watercress w/Garlic but the kitchen was out of watercress though pea tips as a substitute were still good. One of the better Asian dining experiences in downtown Ann Arbor for sure. The dishes were a bit pricey but the two of us were full and there were some leftovers by the end of our meal. Will definitely visit again and try out their other entrees!
Aaron Salsitz: OMG 😱 - As a (Ann Arbor) townie, I wish I had known about this place a long time ago. Great Szechuan is a dream! Asian Legend is my new favorite 😍. Our friends Blake and Jinghan said Asian Legend was superior and we should go there. Everything we had was incredible. We will definitely return! The oyster and mustard green soup was really light and fishy… like an ocean breeze tastes. The oysters were tender and flavorful. Normally, this would NOT be in my wife’s radar, however, she loved it.The Szechuan fish was ordered spicy hot 🌶️ and it was perfect - hot enough to satisfy, but not so hot to kill the flavor of everything else! The fish was tasty and cabbage was not over or under done. I certainly noticed the sauce had broad beans… genuine Szechuan flavor and freaking delicious. The Wuxi ribs were so tender and very tasty and flavorful. There was no obnoxious fat on the ribs and the meat was absolutely tender but not at all mushy. All in all… I am super pleased to get quality Szechuan and Taiwanese food in Ann Arbor and not have to drive to Lansing ❤️.Onze avondeten was super lekker 🤤
Leka Shameti: Shrimps are so-so.The Taiwanese/beef noodle Soup I do not reccomend It was not good. The egg drop soup was as good as it has the fame for.All-in-all not really as much of a "legend".Food: 2/5|Service: 3/5|Atmosphere: 2/5 …More
Maulshree Sinha: Food: 5/5|Service: 4/5|Atmosphere: 5/5More
Joy Q: No greeting or service at all. 20% tips was automatically added to the bill. Probably they've already known people aren't willing to pay 20% for such bad services thats why they charged customers first without asking. I was trying to use a different credit card to pay the bill and it was too much trouble for them to take another credit card even before they swiped the card. They lied to me that they've swiped card already, and I saw them swiping the card after they turned me down. Simply did not allow me to use a different credit card. That is ridiculous! Can't believe a dishonest restaurant without service can still survive in downtown. Will never return.
Ray Bas: Taiwanese cooking style. Food is savory and sweet not spicy like other chinese style.
Zhengyi Huang: sooo terrible!! Please avoid!
joseph nusbaum: Great little place. Friendly staff. The food was amazing. I actually ordered a second helping to take back to the hotel.Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More

Tian Chu Restaurant: what do users think?
Vigilante One (Vigilante 1): I love this place for their traditional Chinese food, great hot pots and seafood dishes. They also have a large variety of other Asian based dishes.
Lexie Koay Eblaghie: The food is very authentic and delicious. It’s a haven for Asian-Americans to get good food from their home countries.
Desmond D: Nice lunch set
Ruheng Zhao: The worse and unhygienic restaurant in Ann Arbor. Cockroach was found in a to go dishes.
Tey Kai Yang: Worst Chinese food restaurant in AA and it's overpriced
Olivia Rui: This is a consistently good quality restaurant! The key lies in what you order. My favorite is the Chong qing spicy chicken. The eggplant and tofu and the knife peeled noodles are also good.
Minkyu Choi: Good place with authentic Chinese . I would like to visit again.
Venus Tsai: I love their spicy pickled vegetables fish soup! It's very authentic and delicious.
Z: Overpriced ok food.
David Mei: Over priced POS. Avoid at any cost please!
張國勳: 道地的中國北方料理,而且菜色選擇多元,是在ANN ARBOR難得一見的中式餐館。
Shawn Thomas: The taiwanese fried rice is nasty. They should be ashamed to sell this for $13. It's thin sliced hot dog with frozen peas and carrots, a little egg and steamed rice. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY HERE.
Alexandria Tilt: Been coming here for years! Very kind staff with the best Sichuan food in the state. Be kind as English is their second language. Patience pays off! I recommend the mapo tofu and stir fried string beans.
代雨村: I had a severe diarrhea after eating there. It I was a pain……
Yimai Peng: Much overpriced and VERY irresponsible service.
Selena Wang: It’s proper North-Eastern Chinese food cooked by your family. I order 小鸡炖蘑菇 and 孜然牛肉. They taste authentic and flavored, but I am a bit concerned that the chefs and owners did not wear their masks all the time. The inside is kinda old and small.
Dylan Lundberg: Authentic Chinese taste. 5 stars all around.
J S: gave me the wrong order. When I asked to bring me the noodles they said I had to order more food to get it. Why do I need to spend more money just to get my correct order.
Holding hands and hugs Are awesome: Great service
AM V: I like the food alright. It’s just the automatic add-on 18% tip is not reasonable.
Michele Rivette: I ordered the eggplant and tofu and it was good, but I had it delivered, and there was NO RICE included with the entree. It was not obvious during ordering. But, what chinese restaurant doesn't include rice with their entrees? Very disappointing. I called and the women on the other end said you have to order it separately. I went back to the Door Dash order and did not see an obvious choice of rice on the side. Also, got the shrimp shumai. Okay, but no dipping sauce. Overall, there are better choices for Chinese food in Ann Arbor.

Lorri Parks: The take out order was available when stated & the food was tasty. That does appear that their recipe has changed on the Hunan chicken as it was not as good. They included eight fortune cookies but only two soy sauces for our two entrees with a large soup order, which came to over $43!The inside dining was open, but not many there, which could be due to increased entree prices ($16.99 & 18.99 for our chicken and shrimp selections respectively). It does appear that the portion sizes have gotten much smaller in the takeout containers. Previously they were 'just' able to close the tops, whereas now the containers were filled to '1 inch' from the top (higher prices but less quantity & now the taste is off from what they originally offered!?!?)

Joshua Chang: This bubble tea is as horrible as it can get, thought I was drinking water…don’t ever order bubble tea at this place
Qiling Zou: Don’t have many choices of Chinese restaurants in the north Ann Arbor. Usually order takeout on the delivery apps. Food is just OK but not great. Service is good.

Yee Siang Dumplings: what do users think?
Marquis Steward: The dumplings were amazing but my general tso chicken was very dry and tough.

Josh Colina: This is my favorite place to eat in Ypsilanti! The staff is super nice and the food is incredible
Aamod Pethe: hidden little place serving amazing dumplings. Prices are reasonable, ambiance is ok. Scratch all that.Resetting my review to 1. This place is going down in both taste and service. Dumplings are iffy. Owner is rude. Asks for tips on take out orders. I don’t usually tip on take outs.Gets angry when tip not given. Well you can go someplace, I’m never coming back here. On my BANNED list
Emma Dodoo: Food: 5/5|Service: 4/5|Atmosphere: 3/5Recommended dishes Spicy Beef Noodles Soup, Mongolian Beef, DumplingsMore
Yang Carter: Sizing is very generous, and dumplings tastes like home, they have many flavors of dumplings!
Candace Rose: Everything I ordered was delicious. The dumplings were wonderful! I ordered the sweet and sour chicken and was delighted at the perfect blend of flavors, not too sweet and more on the savory side. The fried rice was incredibly interesting and packed with flavor. I will be back and am excited to try more of the menu.
R J: Couldn't be more authentic, multiple Asian culture food served here and if the 5 dishes I have had.......all AMAZING! Super fast service too ❣️Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5Recommended dishes Mongolian Beef, Beef Ho Fun, Dumplings Parking space Plenty of parking Parking options Free parking lot …More

Tonya: In general, very authentic Chinese food (if you order right). I ordered lamb cilantro dumplings and pork baos. The fillings are all very tasty. Dumpling filling is a bit oily. The skin of the dumpling and bao are not very smooth and the bao is on the chewy side. This could be they used normal US flour, not a bad thing. Dumpling skin is typical northern style. I believe this type is better boiled than pan fried. A bit pricey but acceptable
Malissa Rose: Delicious. So so yummy!
Michael Lum: The BEST dumplings in Michigan, maybe even the entire eastern US. Beef & Dill, Lamb & Cilantro, and Pork & Shitake are some of our favorites. The udon noodles are out of this world good too.Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 4/5 …More
Brianna M: Ordered vegetable lo mein and there was a meat bone in my food
Brandon Finn: Fantastic food and service. We'll be back!Vegetarian options: Wide array of optionsKid-friendliness: High chair for babies
Cora Holmes: The restaurant itself is very beautiful. It has a clean appearance and very beautiful tables as well as ceiling decorations. The complimentary chili oil, vinegar, and soy sauce add flavor and spice to the dumplings. We got the lamb and the beef dumplings, and the beef ones were outstanding!! We also got the Jasmine tea which is bottomless and tasty, as well as the crispiest spring roll ever. 10/10 recommend for dates or with a friend, I wouldn’t bring a whole family to consume the whole restaurant.

Linda Petty: 1st time here. Just wanted a quick snack. Their crab rangoon taste like death. Over cooked, hardly no filling, and stale.
Karla Osorio: I had the pleasure of dining at this restaurant and I have to say it was an amazing experience. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with good customer service by the super nice and kind staff. They went out of their way to make me and my family feel comfortable and welcome, which was a great start to my dining experience. The food was also incredible, with every dish bursting with flavor and perfectly cooked. As a college student I was pleasantly surprised to find that the prices were reasonable, especially considering the quality of the food.Overall, I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a great dining experience!!
jime19911: The sweet and sour chicken is good but I recently tried the General Tso chicken today and was grossed out by it. It was slimy and didn’t taste very good. The sweet and sour chicken was much better. The egg roll wasn’t very crunchy or that good both times I’ve been here. The people here are friendly but the food isn’t that good for what you pay and what you get. They need some improvement but they probably don’t care due to their proximity to South U and the high traffic from the students in the area so they’ll get business either way. There’s much better Chinese food in Ann Arbor.
Adam Thomas: Long live One Bowl! The spicy seafood ramen is the best around!

Nathan Storer: The food was fine and everything, but I don't appreciate being forced to have the tip, or "service charge" as it was shown on the bill, being automatically rolled up into the final bill. I will decide what the service was worth. Not you. First visit. Won't be coming back.
Linda Monroe: Nice little restaurant with good foodFood: 4/5|Service: 4/5|Atmosphere: 4/5 …More
Elizabeth Poirier: Delicious food. Tried 6 menu items and they were all delicious. I would definitely recommend the crispy sesame chicken and the katsu chicken curry
Tyler Uekman: Good friendly service. Great flavorful food.

Eric Lichtenberg: Great Food! Got one of the ramen bowls and the pork curry with coconut. Both came out extremely hot. Very good flavors. The restaurant itself has a nice feel. Lots of cozy signs hung up everywhere. One thing that was interesting is there was an automatic gratuity on the bill of 18%. Not a big deal, just something to be aware of.
Robin H: Amazing staff, pretty solid Korean food. The ahjumma gave me free Ramune because she thought she messed up my order. Very nice.
Danielle Majors: A nice variety of menu items. Good prices for the amount of delicious food you receive.Food: 5/5|Service: 4/5|Atmosphere: 4/5 …More
