Michelle Kendrek: They have given me back the wrong change on several occasions. When I hand them cash to get change, they never confirm the amount I give them. Also the lady who sits all the way to the left with glasses is extremely rude every time. She acts like it is a huge inconvenience to give me change. It’s your job. I am considering switching banks. I have never felt so unwelcome at my own bank, which I have been with for 13 years.

Nasty Black Santa: I WAS RACIALLY PROFILED BY FOUR AFRICAN AMERICAN TELLERS! I attempted to cash a check from my job and was needlessly detained. They asked for two forms of ID and I complied and the teller made copies of them, which she did not do with the other patrons. One teller said she didnt feel comfortable cashing my check because the signature on file didnt match. She called my job to confirm. White patrons that were in front and behind did not get the third degree like me. They made me feel out of place like I didnt belong there and it shows in society how blacks dont trust each other and how its a learned condition. I told them I noticed how you kissed up to the whites and youre making me feel like Im attempting to break the law like Im trying to pass a bad check. They shrugged it off as a standard proceedure and were smirking about it. As they finally cashed my check, I called the women a bunch of House N-Words and they looked shocked. The teller that was servicing me looked angered as if she wanted to say something but instead just gave me my money without making further eye contact out of embarrassment. But I had to tell it like it is. I called them that because they put me through a needless 10 minute hastle based on how I was dressed (which was in grimey work clothes) and because of how TV NEWS portrays Detroit black men who dress a certain way as likely perpetrators of check fraud. As a result of my treatment, I will never open an account with PNC because they employ people of color with low self esteem who hate themselves.
Dr. Q: I went there with a friend, consulted with them about international banking issue and options for personal account. This is a prestigious bank at the heart of downtown Detroit, less crowded than other big banks, with very friendly service. However, the bank card was not ordered by the banker after a pleasant meeting; another banker had to help to order it again, and my friend waited for another week to pick it up.

Carlos Padilla: Excellent service, set up a new account with PNC recently. My credit union was awful, and transitioning to PNC was painless. Janet Lobo at this location was professional on all levels, explained everything to me without any confusion, and really made my experience perfect. She is also very attentive to your needs, if I ever need anything and I leave her a voice mail, she calls back right away. She is always at the branch when I need her. Just amazing client service.

Quinn Brown: After being told at this location by rude management I couldn’t cash my check with just an ID & insurance card and also stated that I would have to open an account with them prior to cashing my check I then went to the Hamtramck location and they sure cashed my check with JUST my insurance card and state ID. After “management” didn’t try to accommodate anything for me I went to a better location they are simply UNPROFESSIONAL. There’s no way any one would have to go to a different location for the same services. The lady was VERY un knowledgeable. VERY terrible experience here! You’d definitely waste your time here at this location they do NOT care.

They seem to know little about business accounts. Staff seems to all be trained differently and have different levels of knowledge. The only reason we're staying is because we dont have to have a large amount to open the checking account.

Curtis Lyons: What a terrible experience I had at this location. I walk in on a Saturday afternoon to cash a check drawn off of PNC. Mind you I had to visit the East Jefferson location first where they told me they did not have enough money to cash a simple $3800 check. So I am sent to this location being told that they can cash the check for me there. They tell me once I arrive that they cannot cash the check because they have a limit for “non customers”. So I reluctantly open up a savings account in order to be able to cash the check at least a portion of a check. I return on the next business day to get the rest of my funds and I’m told that the check drawn off of their own bank had to clear. Unfortunately I had to leave the bank and come back on the next day hoping that the money will be available all of this because the teller entered the check in incorrectly. Stay away from PNC bank the branch managed by Angela Gillespe. The branch didn’t even have air-conditioning on a 90° day..

I wouldn't make it out of the front door. The ATM outside also no longer accepts canc deposits. Other than that the staff is friendly.

Milton Amaru El: I was able to go in and get an account verification letter as well as any banking money transactions at the ATM. Very convenient location big nice comfortable lobby and friendly staff. Ms. Stevervon was pleasant to speak with and very helpful.
Tax Information: I drove five miles to a “service center” where they have no cash. It looks like a bank and say bank. Take bank off the name if there is no cash or state that it is not a full service center on the website. Very inconsiderate!!!

T Parks: PNC is the slowest bank in the world. Customer service is nonexistent and debit card fees for purchases outside of the US are ridiculously high. One fee is more than I've earned in interest in 10 years......maybe more. Banks are pretty useless these days. Their only purpose is to make money by charging you for EVERYTHING!! I do most things online anyway so I'm closing my PNC account as soon as possible. I've already found something better. (Basically, ANYTHING is better than BEING CHEATED OUT OF YOUR OWN HARD-EARNED MONEY BY YOUR BANK!)

**: Came in for a notary and was denied because the manager decided it was for something they wouldn't notarize and was mistaken. I needed notary for a limited power of attorney, for a few statements about a property, and to wire the proceeds to my bank. He heard "selling my house" and immediately told me they can't help me with any deed transfers or quick claim deed and to go somewhere else. I didn't need any deeds notarized. I needed only the above mentioned documents and statements. No problem, I had the $50,000 from the sale wired to my other bank's account.
Tee Mac: Every time I visit this particular pnc I cannot be serviced. Today really pushed it. You close at a certain time, yes, but you shut down your machines early. I go to pnc in the suburbs and I’m able to be serviced, their branch manager even stayed after their closing time to service me because there was a fraud attempt on my account and he genuinely cares and saw I needed help or some type of funds. I know it’s none of the employees concern but just try to help people in need. Money is essential especially on the weekend and we pay for a service; just be a little more helpful than oh well sorry everything’s down. Boot it up then! Two seconds to print a card would’ve really helped me in a major way today.**You never know what people are going through or just need** someone helping me today would’ve really meant a lot.

Was told EBT was not a valid form of identification after she realized my significant was a ts. Little did the ignorant teller know we were told by another PNC that it was. I couldn't believe that an African-American woman could be so hateful and persecute someone for being different. Needless to say we've put in a complaint with both the BBB and PNC higher ups. Such bigotry shouldn't be allowed in a professional business.

John Taylor: I made an online appt to open a business acct. The same day of my appt I decided to call and just confirm. The lady answered and told me nothing shows in her system about my appt and I explained I made the appt online. She then told me she doesn’t know why it was booked online that it’s wrong. She told me to wait on hold until she figures out something. 30 mins later still waiting on hold and she’ll come back to make sure I’m still on hold and then repeats herself to put me on hold that she will be back. So I just hung up went to Huntington Bank and with no appt they got me in and took care of me. Conclusion= don’t bother banking with them go somewhere else.
